One of the worst chess apps we’ve ever downloaded. Chess. Com and lichess are 1000x better.
To whom it may concern, we hope all is well. If youre looking for a quick play or intense challenges in the art of chess. Look no further, you have found the app. Lets chess.
Annoying long commercials after a game, cant comment or congratulate an opponent. Hardly any players over 1500 rating.
We pay for the premium version of this software annually. We do not get that full privileges of membership, and no one will respond to emails. We cannot add friends. We cannot select various time controls when setting up invites. They just took our money, didnt deliver the full access, and theres no one to complain to about it.
Most players on here are just amateur at best. No way to mute chat permanently. Have to be in the game then go to chat and mute chat. Otherwise they use profanity win or lose.
Our friend had us download the app to play with him, but the very first page after we open the app is the create an account page and it wont let us create an account. Says theres an error with the servers or something. We thought maybe its our connection but we tried on wifi and data its still no good. From what we’ve read of other reviews it seems like the app itself is designed well and when it works its great, but it experiences so many bugs and issues to the point where its unusable. Ill just go back to chess. Com cuz its not worth our time. Tip to developers, get on top of this asap youre losing customers daily just because of bugs. Upgrade the servers, fix any lag or errors, and if the app runs smoothly we bet youll be able to compete with chess. Com and other bigger chess apps.
We got the yearly subscription and havent been able to use it for months because theres no way to put forgot password in. Help or we would like a refun plz.
The timer does not stop counting down after we move. Whats the point of playing a timed game of the time is not accurate???
We were ahead by like 1 million we put our phone away for one second literally to grab the pizza delivery and it said abandoned the game. Please fix this issue ASAP. Theres no way we wouldve abandoned the game when Im up by like 1 million. We were playing a chump we lost a bunch of points. Just getting a pizza delivery turn the phone off for one second. Not cool.

Would be 5 stars if it werent for the fact that every other person we play be trying to sell us some cryptocurrency bitcoin scam. They ask us how am and what the weather is like where we are and then they go on some spiel about selling us on their ponzi scheme. Worst of all, when they realize im not a mark they cancel the game halfway through. DELETE THESE USERS!

Abandoned status is great! Finally dont have to wait for quitters clock to run out. One additional enhancement requestplease provide a filter setting on available games. E.g., if we dont want to play 960 games, itd be nice to not see those. Excellent app, thanks!
We like the app but today we were logged out of our account ( not by us ) and its not recognizing our user name or email.
We hate the new user interface as we cant select a time clock setting.
Its all bots. There are no live players here. SBMM against bots. Plus the rules arent accurate at all. Avoid.

An absolutely incredible app for playing chess, for beginners, veterans, and the in-between.
Overall we love the simple user interface of this app. We have tried several online chess apps and this is by far the most simple and easy to use. However, there are some issues we would like to address. First, servers are sometimes a little shaky. This wouldnt usually be a problem but in a 1m bullet game we cant be wasting time due to a laggy server. Also, the game algorithm (I think this is the problem) makes some terrible mistakes sometimes… In one game we were in a losing position, we forced threefold repetition but before we could accept the draw the option went away. We did not make a move or do anything that should have made it disappear. Even worse, in another game we had a bishop and queen on the board and our opponent had nothing, and the game randomly ends due to insufficient material. We HAD A QUEEN so insufficient material absolutely never should have been possible. This is a guaranteed win that is taken away due to some issue with the app. We really like the simplicity of this app but these problems need to be addressed. It is too frustrating playing this app and just praying we dont get screwed over. Please let us know if anyone else has had problems like this.
The 7.99 doesnt show. Its 14.99 and sore losers are botches and need muted with a convient button on screen.
You have to tap start and end spots to move a piece. Absolute trash interface. Impossible to play fast games.
The review is great but the only problem is that some sore losers make you wait forever when they know they gonna loose and you guys should solve this problem, it should be a 2 min wait max, but overall its a great app.
Im literally addicted to this app!! We love how you can play with others around the world. Recommend it to anyone. Watch out for creeps though that want to be your gf or bf though. Lol!
We’ve recently switched from chess. Com app to this one. We like that you dont have a pre move selection as in real chess you can have your hand on the next piece when its not your turn. What we dont like is its either play your class or open to all. Id love to see a minimum to maximum rating required option. As it is once you get into the 1600 plus you might wait 10 minutes for a match if you have the our class only option. One other issue is connection sometimes drops and you dont see the other person join and then you have to cancel the match and try again. Get that fixed and this has the makings of a top chess app. Edit: also add to the watch games an option to view the type of game. 1-2min 5-10min ect.
This app is nice but it freezes a lot , especially when you are playing blitz . Its frustrating because the games are timed and when if it freezes you loose a lot of time. Its still full of bugs. It also adds time to your opponent when nearing time expiration . Just one of the frustrating things about this app.
Ads we get it but not in chess app save that for Tv should have to deal with envasive ads after every match vs ant even say good game just goes right into that app kinda tasteless in our opinion and a distraction for serious chess players.
This is a great game, you can actually play chess in a decent amount of time.
We live in the city and when we travel, we have a few minutes to spare. This is worth it!
