The display is not working on the iphone Air.
We learned to play chess, from a friend cross country, and though we were slow at playing back, this app made it very easy to learn. We never did beat him lol.
Its very good, we just wish it was more popular and advertised to get more competition.

We believe if the developer add to the invite link with a larger handshake emoji to pop up to start a game on both sides (game wont start until the handshake) it will bring a little more respect and integrity back into the game by a small percentage and bring higher traffic and become most talked about because no one else is doing it. We started using the handshake emoji in 2013 a few years back and 50% of our games return the hand shake. We lose time on the board implementing the initial handshake before each game.
This is a lot of fun and we have had the app for about 10 years. Will you please add baseball caps to your merch store. Thanks.

Awesome app to have if you enjoy chess. Made quite a few friends from all over the world.
Ability to request a reverse move is great amongst friends. If your opponent allows it then the game can continue.
This game is fun a really easy to play we recommend playing if you want simple and easy.
The game defaults allow users to use an analyzer tool. Its a huge advantage to players who arent able to use their brain. No one will join our matches when we turn off the analyzer. If we wanted to play against a computer we would just play against a computer. We would prefer to play against people but we cant do that on this app.
Whats up with the glitch that switches the king and queen if you are the second player? Its really annoying.
Where is the in app purchase to forever remove the ads? Can we get an option for confirm to be bottom right instead of bottom left.
Love how simple it is, and it just works. The only issue we see is when we play on our iPad vs iPhone, the notifications only seem to work on the device that we took our last turn on.
This is one of the best apps we've played on. If you would add lower playing times etc-10min.games up to 30min.games it would be even better.
Great app! So good, we feel compelled to suggest improvements. The main feature we use is the Analyze feature, which is two clicks, not one, from the main playing screen. We rarely use Moves, which is one click. Switch them! More importantly, when we do use Moves, usually during a postmortem, but also occasionally during games, there's no way to put an intermediate position automatically into Analyze so that we can easily experiment with what-would-have-happened-if. The small amount of programming needed to transfer positions from Moves to Analyze would really enhance the app.
We cant seem to view our pieces or the board. We are a blind user, and this game works well with voiceover. The only problem is we dont know how to make our next move, or in what position each piece is in. Could you please improve that? This game sounds really interesting, and we would love to try it out. Hope to see that improvement, and thank you.
The only thing missing is the ability to invite a friend to watch your game.

No really thats whats so good about it. Dont have time to play a whole 30min game? Start up chess time and play throughout the day or week. We Dont have time to play Lichess games all day or at work but we can move a piece here and there and still have the love of the game Ive been using this app for 10years, 2012 was our first game. Hard to believe id still be on the same app 10 years later but chess has been around a lot longer without any real changes. Great all around app and have made many friends around the world! Highly recomend.

Great app. Just Incase you forgot your username after a while of not playing. They dont allow you to join back. They say f-you and put the keyboard directly above the send username and if your wondering why not just put the keyboard down, yeah they dont want you to do that. So its not permitted. So you cant get to send username not even If you change the rotation of your screen. Because guess what. They dont let you do that either.
If all your mobile chess games with friends and family keep timing out into draws, the settings for this app allow for 7 days between move selection. The notifications work perfectly and dont bother you with ads or offers. The random elo matchup is also pretty fun; sometimes Chess.com can feel intimidating because Im really not very good at chess to be honest.
We had put in a one star review out of frustration for an apparent abrupt UI change. Was great to see the Developer response next day. They did not get defensive, they figured out what the issue was, guided us to a setting that fully resolved our issue and thanked us for years of time with them. We also figured out we had inadvertently toggled that setting. We really appreciated such a fast and professional response to a review. We are back to loving this app.
We use it all day everyday. UI is ugly as sin but love being able to play chess w our friends on other platforms.
Ive been able to keep in touch with great friends of ours by this app. Weve been playing consistently for a year and now Im 200 miles away we still have the grid to look forward too.
We love the app. Friends cant understand why we dont switch to chess.com. It is simply because we want the ability to request a move back. You can be many days into a game and a blunder doesnt have to end a good chess game. For us, we dont care much about our rating. We just want to play with as few restrictions as necessary. We hate winning on blunders and view it as a waste of time so we often offer our opponent an undo. Great feature. It would be nice to offer the ability to send a comment with the request to undo rather than offer it in separate steps. A missing feature is the ability to have more than one game going with the same player. You can have simultaneous games going but not more than one with the same player. Im sure this makes calculating rating points more complicated but Im less concerned with our rating compared with our ability to play friends as many times as we want simultaneously. We think that would be another easy-to-implement differentiator.
We were able to win the game but a pond was two spaces away and took our queen.
We were unable to move two of our pawns during a game. Neither move would have exposed us to check so . . . It was definitely a bug of some sort. Needless to say we are now losing that game. Eeee.
This is probably our most used chess app. Its super easy to use and we love playing against friends, or random people from all over the world. Love the time limit option, and the in game chat is great. Side note, Id definitely pay a couple dollars to get a premium version without the ugly banner ad the bottom.

All players be careful playing with player from Great Britain, his nick name,, Terance hart,, rating 2449 – his is CHEATER. Nobody play with him.
We find all the completely distracting advertisements scrolling along the bottom of the game screen deplorable. Please, please eliminate them so e can play chess!! Thanks.
It would be really cool to have an option to predict moves.
The interface is dog ugly and limited. It feels like Im playing a DOS game or perhaps something from the Commodore 64 days. We keep waiting for a command prompt to pop up. We vastly prefer the Chess.com app. Its more user friendly and fun.
We were playing game in iPad and when we download the new update, the board just minimize when we turn the iPad into landscape mode. Please fix this bug.
Latest update causing display problems on our Ipad. What happened??? Display shrank to 1/8 the regular size.Unable to play at that size.
