We had nice smooth gameplay. We really enjoyed this game. We were able to keep track of the storyline, we would rather not have to have a journal to keep track of such complex stories of who is who and who did what to whomever. Ugh. We also like the different HOS, esp the vending machine in the bowling alley. A solid 5 stars.

Love loved the graphics and story twist!

We liked this game because it is fun & some other hidden object games we’ve tried were so frustrating to us because the objects to find were just too hidden. We like games to be fun, & this one is.

Lovely game, quality music, good puzzles. No ridiculous dark spirits (at least not yet). Enjoyed this one!

As with most Elephant games, this game is a true pleasure to play. We loved the storyline, and the fact it takes place in Scotland. The graphics are incredibly clear, so the HOS are fantastic to play. There are different versions of HOS and all kinds of puzzles to play. Thank you Big Fish for bringing this wonderful game to us.

We dont find many games that keep our attention. This one held it until the end so much so that we found another game by the same developer.

Always Love Elephant Games! Lots of detail, beautiful graphics, morphing & collectibles which are always a plus. Some unique hidden object scenes & puzzles in this one. Transporting map and we thought the game and the tasks required flowed Very Well. Enjoyed it very much and look forward to the next installment. We experienced no glitches. Thanks to the developer & Big Fish! P.S. Note to Big Fish & fellow gamers – Please start releasing this type of game genre more than 2 times a week. If we dream team players all express this – it just might happen! So let’s make our voices heard. KdBoots.

Very fun interactive game, one of the best Big Fish hidden objects yet!

A lot of fun, the glitches wasn’t so bad. Hope to play more.

ATTENTION PLAYERS: we just finished playing FIVE-BN’s new game, entitled as above; and it was magnificent! Every aspect you love in a game is there, including a long demo; intriguing story; beneficial features, such as an all-encompassing map, journal to record in-depth story progression; custom settings, etc. We left a detailed review for your convenience. We hope you enjoy it! The plot fosters a conventional and recycled idea in which you are transported back in time to 18th century Scotland, and you realize that you must save your kidnapped family member from a villain. But who is the real villain? Play and find out! We love exploring a European medieval-like village, or one still standing from that time period, with winding, cobblestone roads that lead out to the lush countryside filled with castles, rolling hills, flowing rivers, and farms. We also appreciate the intermittent segments of the Scottish bagpipes since we are a vehement admirer of anything related to both Scotland and Ireland. The graphics are mediocre as they are slightly fuzzy and unclear. The bright and iridescent colors vividly stand out against the contrasting monochromatic bluish background, and this visualization exudes senses of mystification and foreboding. There are some effective animations incorporated within, such as wooden boards moving; pumpkins being carved into evil-like faces; and lights turning on and off–all upon touch. You can customize your settings. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. The teleport map allows for smooth transport to labeled locations and indicates available actions. The HOS comprise the various fashions that we have grown accustomed to; nothing unordinary is presented though. The puzzles are simple, but they are fun; sometimes you will find items while gaining parts of the backstory. You are not given a journal; the reading materials are solely in the form of collected pieces of information, such as letters, notes, etc. Transition between scenes is brisk; no delays. The collectibles are fairly easy to spot, and there are multiples of one of the types in each location. Furthermore, one set is informative, which adds a level of sophistication rather than just discovering them. Overall, the game doesn’t knock our socks off; most features are there, but cutting-edge or more advanced elements are not. Gameplay is straightforward and lacks any real challenge. In our opinion, this game is slightly above average. Therefore, our true rating is 3.5 stars; however, we bumped it up to 4 stars due to a glitch-free experience and a storyline that is maintaining our attention.

We love the chimera games. When we saw this one it got us so giddy. We love the Scottish theme they did here. The voice acting was really good. The puzzles were ok. Our biggest complaint is that it was a bit short. We beat it too quickly and it can’t be because we’re that good. (Lol)

We don’t write reviews much anymore but we’re so annoyed at this one! We always get excited when BF puts out an Elephants game as they’re most always fantastic as would this one be except…. Every single time the Big Fish Rate It pop up pops up the game freezes which is always when it first opens and several more times during game play. We have to close out completely then go back in and pray we can get into the game fast enough to beat the pop up! You’ve just ruined a good game BF! We see we’re not the only one with this issue so we’re hoping they fix it. Until then we’ll play the new one from Artifex Mundi. Just finished the new lost lands by five BN and as expected it fantastic! Worthy addition to an outstanding series! Im not sure how to get iTunes to recognize their games on the best new games list but everyone of their releases should be on that list, five BN that is.

Good story, great graphics, map not always dependable. Love finding morph objects and puzzles but these were a bit too easy.

In general a great game, but two comments: 1. Big Fish asks you to review it a lot, and every time it does the game freezes 2. It’s pretty short for a $7.00 game.

Nice game. Our only complaint is that to biy it is $7.

We have no problems with freezing that other people found. The characters graphics were not impressive. We liked the storyline and that it hopped back and forth in time. One thought, if you’re going to set your story in Scotland, make sure that all your voice over actors can do Scottish accents. Games were not hugely challenging but a great way to pass the time. We wish we could go back and see where we’ve missed puzzle pieces. We got all the morphs but missed ONE puzzle piece and would’ve liked to know where we missed it.

Note to Izzyoc: dearest Izzyoc, thank you so much for having our back! We are afraid of RATS, but if we tried to play only games without them we would never play anything at all. Of course we already ran across one in Lost Lands; however we know Elephant games makes them terrifying, so at least forewarned is forearmed! Snooper would love you for kindly informing us, and we think you are a great asset to the team. We believe Dracyy would say something but sometimes reviews before finishing a game, which isn’t the greatest strategy! So many thanks, and from Lynxie! Others can laugh all they want, but please remember everybody is afraid of something. It was a good thing you warned us! We would have been one dead Lynx! However we really enjoyed this game, and other than the touchy teleport map we can’t say there were any issues. Since everybody else informed us of the game features we are not going to be redundant. We liked the story, it was easy to follow, although there was no cohesive journal. The graphics were beautiful and we felt that Scotland combined with time travel was a bit of a novelty. We agree that the puzzles were a tad simplistic but after playing a long and mentally challenging game (Lost Lands 4-great!) we thought this game was perfect for us to play. As usual Elephant gave us an enjoyable experience with plenty to do at each location, but we found this game relaxing and fun to play, rather than tedious. Our true review is 4 stars. We deducted one star for lack of a cohesive journal and for the difficulty using the teleport map. Other than that we really cannot complain! This game did not need any gimmicks. Lynxie sends lots of to the magnificent DTE, especially Izzyoc for keeping us alive as well as being an informative reviewer, and KimTwilight for her poetic review skills, and always to Dracyy, with us from the inception of the team!

Loved the immersion into medieval Scotland; the music, characters, and scenery all served to make you feel like you are really there! There are morphing objects in every scene, sometimes two. You collect them in the main and bonus game, but there are only 32 of them! There are only 30 scenes in the entire game!! Which is sad, because it was a great game. The puzzles are mostly mid easy, wish there was more of a challenge. Hops are varied; silhouette, list, combinatory, matching. Elephant always does great with the variety of their hops. If you dont mind a short game, then buy. Everything else was good. We deducted a star for length, and half a star for too easy puzzles. So real rating of 3.5 bumped up to 4 for the atmosphere.

Fantastic game, lots of quality mini games, nice graphics. Very enjoyable, thank you.

We really liked this unique game as it is a mix between magic, historical Scotland, and time travel. Wouldn’t we all like to go back in time to do something different? This game has most of the things us HOP players like, such as interactive map (worked fine for me), mode customization, HOPs but not too many mixed with other puzzles, a great plot twist, etc. The main thing we would have liked more of was puzzles that were challenging with a lot more creativity (other than the HOPs). Scotland is part of our heritage, and we absolutely loved the music! Happy we bought this. Note to Lynx: you’re always complaining about not enough games, but sounds like you’re really busy with them!

It was certainly fun and we loved the interaction with the characters. We do wish though that the puzzles were more challenging. All in all, great work! Well done!

We reduced a star, because every time we open the game a BF advertisement pops out and freezes the game, and we have to stat all over again. It ruins the game! Also, unusual for the Elephants, there’s a slight glitch in the map. Otherwise, it’s beautiful.. The graphics, the story, the music… All that you expect from this developer, and as usual we bought a game from the Elephants immediately without any trials, but this pop out thing is super annoying!!!

The first download kept freezing at the Bigfish pop ups or if you skipped the startup scene, then it just stopped completely. We removed and downloaded it again. It seems to be working so far. We like the premise of the game.

We would give this game 5 stars, but the glitches are irritating! They all happen when "Big Fish" games tries to force you to do a review, when those bothersome pop-ups happen, it like cow the game up!

On the plus side, the game is fairly enjoyable with an interesting, albeit predictable story. The graphics are solid and the gameplay is varied. We found the map easy to use as well. On the downside, the puzzles and such are on the easy side. We found myself questioning our method thinking it couldn’t be that simple. It is definitely short as others have mentioned with a pretty abrupt ending. We didn’t have any freezing issues while playing BUT we did whenever we attempted to go back in the game. There is also no easy fix for this.

Really like Big Fish games. But this one freezes upon opening and after paying for it, that is really frustrating. The freeze comes after the advertisement for another game comes up. Also, with the ios updates, all these games we paid for NO LONGER WORK. Thanks for that.

The games coming out are very disappointing, but this one is okay. And, we mean okay. Not great, just okay.

We enjoy the game, but it is starting to deteriorate. There are so many white shapes everywhere we cannot see some of the areas. It is very hard to be focused. We dont know if you can fix it, but it is almost unplayable.

We loved the game but way to short not long enough.

Don’t know if we would go for a second one of these games; the script was soooo tiny and hard to read; the story was not that unique or compelling; the constant back-and-forth of fetching some tool for use in some other scene got boring. Eh, fair to middling, as our Dad would say.

Fun to play, fun mini games, but it’s too quick, even including the bonus it’s too quick. They really should stop calling these hidden object games, as there are only about 6 in this game. Biggest improvement this game has is very little load times between scenes, almost none. Wait until it goes on sale..

We loved the Scottish theme, but unfortunately the game froze at several spots during play, necessitating restarting. Not a pleasant experience.

Often froze when relaunching, which required a restart. Also the game was ridiculously short! Good graphic design, music and bonus game, but still not worth the price.

Can’t get back into the game because all we get is a black screen when we hit the app icon now. Also, for the price, it was way too short a game and too easy. We suggest 3.99. Not worth 6.99. The more expensive games generally deliver a lot more, so that’s what we expected here. And since we can’t get a refund for the part of the game we can’t get to… Well, that’s another reason we think it’s too much expensive. You pay first, so it’s too late to do anything about it if you have problems. Not happy.

We dont know whats wrong with the graphics, but its not clear. It looks like your drafts are bleeding though the scenery. The highlighted areas are big and blurred ,makes it difficult to see some areas. It also distracts us from following the game. Its really very annoying.

Love this type of object game but this one get stuck and there is no way out!

We cant believe how dissatisfying this game turned out to be. There are dozens of objects and puzzles for each section that are absolutely useless. When you reach an objective, all the unfinished puzzles and unused items are erased and you start with 2 or 3 items. Its such a huge waste of time. And its not that we reached an objective before using the items, the things you find are just useless… A a huge and bitter disappointment! Lazy.

Why don’t you make the printing smaller then no one can read it! Bunch Of Crap!

There is a problem in the programming. If you click on the new Big Fish game release advertisement that pops up, you will get a black screen. You don’t go to the App Store and you can’t get back to the game. If you close the game and try to get back in, it’s still a black screen. We tried rebooting our IPad 4 and still got the black screen when we clicked on the game.

Low quality. Poor graphics and video.

Tried the demo, seemed ok. Exited the game and came back later, only to have it freeze. Seems to be a common problem with big fish now. Other games from other sources don’t seem to have this problem. We have been a big fish player for years but am really getting tired of the lack of proper beta testing and bug fixes. Just glad we were able to try before buying. Don’t bother with this if you really want to finish a game.

It cant be played due to the iPad update messing up the graphics.

There is something seriously wrong with this game. It has all kinds of strange things floating around in it and makes it impossible to play!

We have installed and uninstalled and reinstalled, etc 5 times and every time we go and back to continue where we left off the screen goes black and we have to delete and reinstall having to start over from the beginning we are sick and tired of having to start from the beginning. We give this game A BIG FAT ZERO rating until you can fix whatever issue is causing this problem. And we have noticed we are not the only one this keeps happening to.

We were playing it even though it had boxy frames on every clickable from not being updated. And got to the download screen. We decided to pay and download the rest for the story. After download it closed up and wont even open. $6.99 out the window!
