OUR STORIES
ADVENTURE 1: And The Sun Went Out
Approximately 600,000 words and 2,400 choices in total!
What if the sun inexplicably vanished only to return hours later? Investigate with your AI companion, Moti. Uncover conspiracies. Discover ancient religions. Travel the globe.
Find out who is murdering scientists and what this has to do with the random disappearances of the sun. This is your journey, and only your choices can expose the truth.
ADVENTURE 2: And Their Souls Were Eaten
You have a gift. With your gift, the dead are never truly gone.
But what if there is a dark side to your gift? What if there are those who can pervert your talent, and alter the balance of life and death?
Travel across a steampunk 1830s Europe, where metal is magical, giving powers to those who wear it. Learn more about your ancient gift and what it means for you, your family, and humanity. Uncover the nefarious plot to destroy all life… and fight against time to stop your enemy from destroying everything you hold dear.
ADVENTURE 3: And Their Heroes Were Lost
You wake up in a dirty prison cell with no memory of who you are. And, you're not alone. Who are the other prisoners? What are they to you? Are they your allies… or enemies?
Will you escape? Try to find out who you are? Why did the people who captured you steal your memories—instead of just killing you? Travel the world as you uncover the details of a past that holds many secrets, and a future that is in peril.
"What’s really innovative about Choices…unlike traditional gamebooks that have a definite end, Choices: And the Sun Went Out is a continuing gamebook that will be updated weekly, allowing you to progress through the story over time. As you make choices in your story, it will advance in ways completely differently than other readers when weekly content is added." – PocketTactics.com

Community Insight:
We loved this game. The story was absolutely incredible and well written. Cant wait to start the next one :).
Great game you got here. It reminds us of those Lifeline games. We played that one And their Souls were Eaten. So fun. Keep up the good work guys. Thanks.
Its been several years since we last played. We keep forgetting to continue. We absolutely love these stories and we love how you can see how your choices may have differed from other players. You get very immersed in the story and attached to each character. We think we cried when something happened to Moti. The stories are very well written. We need to continue and finish them.
SOOOO GOOOD OMG IVE BEEN PLAYING THIS ON AND OFF FRO YEARS AND we FINALLY FISHIED THE FIRST STORY AND we LOVED MY ENDING SM UGHH CANT WAIT TO START THE OTHER PROPS TO THE WRITERS THEY ATE DIWNNNN.
Im so replaying everything over again. We just got our first ending and Im devastated.
We want to start by saying that this game is one of THE BEST choice based game out there. During the first and second stories, we were absolutely enthralled with the characters and small foreshadowing that existed. Every choice felt like it absolutely made a difference. Our only complaint has to do with romances. We love that it gives you the option of who to be with, and wether or not you actually want love, but we wish there was more content after getting together, as the stories seemed to just end after you confess your love. Theres also just a few inconsistencies along the story. In The Sun Went Out, (SPOILERS), scientists were gathering on the plane and the story was making it seems as if we had never met Petrus, even though we spent time with him it Italy. It also talked about Wong as if we were friends, though we did not interact with the aetherites AT ALL in Tokyo. Other than these small things, this game is a TEN OUT OF TEN.
Story line is good, love the choices! Definitely keeps us wanting to click to the next stage.
Fell in LOVE, we came across this game again and holy cow flooded with memories we are downloading again. This game is immersive we think we remember playing on our Apple Watch years ago. Definitely try it out, you wont be able to stop.
Just finished our first story and im genuinely crying rn we havent even been playing that long but we feel like ive been living in that world forever it was just so well done and thorough and nuanced and so beautiful we were NOT expecting it to hit that hard. Mild spoilers maybe??? But the Am we asleep? And the Of course! Immediately just made us pause and cry a good minute. Truly every choice and detail matters and absolutely nothing is insignificant. We love finding incredibly niche games with this amount of effort put into it, its art. Im definitely going to continue playing this. Its crazy that its free. Pro tip for anyone reading if you dont wanna do the 90 cents just take 10 tickets every day til u get 30 or 40 cuz itll get you through the arc USUALLY and its good for pacing we LOVE THIS OMFGGGG we could rant all day and night. Moti Thank yalll.
We rarely spend money on apps but we got completely hooked on and the sun went out that Ive spent about 7 dollars or so on tickets and eventually just buying the whole story LOL Also wish the ads to get some tickets worked :/.
Every choice you make actually has consequences and can drastically change the out come of your story, so you feel more absorbed and invested in the characters. The stories are also very well written and feel more akin to a publishable novel vs. The more Wattpad, less professional writing style other interactive games tend to feature. Our only complaint would be the amount of free tickets you get in an hour, but you can earn as many tickets as you want through watching ads, so it isnt too big a deal.
We dont normally leave reviews, but this game deserves it. Out of the three options, And The Sun Went Out is the best. One thing that we love is how there is romance / no romance options and a pick between two- your gender and name is never mentioned, which we find nice too. Replaying ATSWO for a second time and Im getting stuff we didnt even know happened! Im definitely going to be replaying all games in a different path. One of our favorite things is how the game, at the end of each arc, tells you whats happening and a percent of people on that path- once, we got on a path of 1% of players! All in all, we HIGHLY suggest playing this! We dont buy tickets so it can take awhile to complete, but its 100% worth it.
These stories are SO good! Every single choice has a consequence, and we love how it tells you what percentage of people are on the same story arc as yours.
2000/10 just finished and their heros were lost its amazing.
The best choice based game we have ever seen and the stories are lovable and im still working on and the sun went out overall its the best game on our phone So far.
We love how the game is changed based on the choices that you pick. And how there are other stories to choose. Its also great that you are able to play where you have left off cause it saves automatically.
The titles can literally give us a quick idea as they are meant to do so in every other book. Like the first one, we thought the sun gonna be exploding and that earth would have to evacuate on a spaceship. And for real, we thought the stories were connected to each other. But so far, one of the best interactive storytelling games out there and as far as we can see, we like to imagine and perceive the game as a way to tell Karma, as for each choice will unlock the next path to something and decide what the said religious aspect has in store for us, good or bad. Im in awe of this game for making us think of this, keep the scaffolding up with this game; dont let it be forgotten , and if it will be in the near future, it is okay to be sad about it, but be happy that it has happened, for something small can have a huge effect on the world. Thank you, and you are welcome. :D.
Everything was well cared for and thought out.
Brought us to tears, the stories were wonderful.
We just finished our second run for And The Sun Went Out and we loved it so much ITS SO GOOD. We really like how many different things can happen on a single choice. Thats why this is our favorite choice-game app.
This is one of our favorite choice based games. The stories are actually interesting and we love that your choices do have an actual impact on the story.
This game has practically endless replay-ability and a very interesting stories Id def recommend buying the full pass its like 1$ for each story.
This is the most immersive interactive fiction game Ive ever played.
It broke our heart.. We've reached a dead end. Althought the plot and events were captivating thank you. We recommend the developers to make a movie certainly deserves.
Finished the game any a year ago, loved it, and downloaded again yesterday. However, the ads for tickets doesnt work for us, and just says none available now, check back later.
Im sad the stories have to end at one point.
We just got this today for our watch, but ive been reading the stories from our phone and they are incredible. We wish there was a book for these so we wont have to wait for our next choice, and we can just read the whole story. If anyone knows any we would like to know.
One of the best story telling games we have played.
We play souls were eaten and it is an exciting mix of emotion that you will feel as the reader. Well crafted and pacing is excellent. Enough detail for it to be immersive, yet not so much as to be cumbersome. Support this game master. This is a real review, from a real player. Lot of reviews today are suspect imo- but this here some real good shi- Review will continue after technical problems are corrected.
Truly enjoyable, very engrossing.
We never write reviews, but this one just deserved it. Ive had choices for about a year now, and we think Ive played souls all the way through about ten times, if not more- you just cant get tired of it. All the stories are super detailed and unique, which is super hard to get out of fiction nowadays; we cant think of another book series or app that has a storyline similar. Ive bought all three passes, and Im super glad we did- if you arent sure whether to go ahead with the pass, or if you are frustrated with the ads, its so worth it.
This game has compelling storys great mechanics and great storytelling beat mobile game we have ever played.
Ive now done all 3 stories and am left to wonder: whats next??! These are great choose your path stories, though over the course of 3 attempts at all 3, we end up in the same place in the end despite deliberately choosing different paths Cant wait for more.
Ive only just finished And the Sun Went Out, but Im amazed! We wasnt expecting the story to have such emotional depth or complexity. We could hardly put it down after the first few choices. We cant wait to read the other stories and then find out new endings to them all.
We never review apps, but we just had to for this one. The writers and developers of this app are extremely talented. Ive only finished one story so far, AND THE SUN WENT OUT, and Im just blown away by the intricate details, action-filled plot, and unique world building. It kept us questioning and guessing the entire time. The whole choose your own path aspect was very cool! As a writer, its hard to finish just one storyline nevertheless 5, 10, 25, or more unique paths your main character can take. We cant wait to finish the other two stories but, Im equally as interested in going through SUN again, with alternate choices. If you do the free version, as we tried to do in the beginning, theres a lot of ads that interrupt the pacing of the story. Plus, more ads to gain choice tickets. Eventually we caved and bought the pass let us tell you! It was SO WORTH IT. Get the pass (only a few dollars!!!) and enjoy the incredible, awesome storytelling that awaits you in this app.
Great story line, well written and we highly recommended. Enjoy.
Just gotta day we think this game is amazing but when we updated it, it started to crash every time we open it, Ive tried reinstalling. Please fix this app we enjoyed it a lot and we spent money for the passes so we would really like to keep playing.
This feels like youre reading a book and making changes here and there. The amount of different endings is INCREDIBLE. We found ourselves glued to this – Ive now restarted it for the fourth time. One choice we made much earlier on led to an action towards the end that we never expected. Highly recommend.
Im a sucker for choice-your-adventure concepts and only slightly regret spending $10+ on this game.
This game is awesome! The stories are complex and detailed, but not confusing. We always look forward to the next chapter. The plots are written beautifully and the characters are so well developed that they seem real. Another thing is that theres always enough tickets! You get 10 when you start each story, you get 6 every day, and if you log on every hour you get another ticket. This game is such a fun interactive game and we totally recommend it.
We just got the game about three days ago. Im already in love with it and intrigued with the stories! Im part way through Before the Sun went out, and we LOVE IT! Its a great game and Im okay with the ticket thing, because you always have a chance to watch an ad for some and it always refills your tickets once a day. And we like the ticket thing anyway because if it didnt have tickets, the game would end to fast and Id be sad! And, for those of you who are having trouble with ads, turn off your wifi/cellular data! Thats what we do and we never have another ad! Ive seen no grammar mistakes so far and the game is wonderfully developed. There have been no choice glitches, and we have seen nothing wrong. We recommend this game COMPLETELY!! 5-stars the entire way. Get it or youll regret it.
We love the game our only thing is that theres waaayy to many ads.
Ive just finished And Their Souls Were Eaten and it was a very fun and unique experience. This game is addicting and the story is engrossing. We definitely recommend giving it a try. We cant wait to begin our next adventure.
We didnt expect much when we downloaded this, but we were extremely satisfied with it. It was longer than we expected, which was great. Whoever the author is has a gift. It has very good character development and an intense story line that makes you want to keep reading. If you are looking for a novella type story where you help decide the outcome, please read And The Sun Went Out. ADDITION: And Their Souls Were Eaten is just as good! These stories are great.
At this point can we purchase no ads? Is that even optional? Those things make you wanna delete the whole app, just too many of em.
And there are so many different decisions you can make! Its led through exposition, though, so its not like a text adventure where you control every turn. It was a tender, substantial, intense story about what it might mean to be human. We really enjoyed it.
To date this has been the best choose your own adventure story that Ive seen available for free. Each one has its own ambient sounds and effects which really engages the reader in a way that isnt gimmicky. The stories are in depth and well written where your choices really have an impact. After playing through half of the first story we proceeded to buy the full 3.99 version of each campaign. 12 bucks for the entire package is not only worth it, but keeps you in the story without interruption. We look forward to what the creators make next.
We wonder what wouldve happened if we had chosen differently and it makes us want to play the game over and over and overwell done! We havent been engrossed in a game like this in years.
We noticed there are a lot of reviews saying the app crashed immediately when they try to play and the same thing is happening to us too!! We would really really appreciate it if someone could maybe respond and tell us how to fix it or fix it themselves because it looks like a really awesome game!! Giving this five stars so maybe someone will notice hope we can play it soon.
We recently got the game a few months back and Im on the first story! We really love it so far and our favorite characters are probably Moti, MC, Sharon, and Etienne. Our only issue is that there are a lot of ads which can get annoying when youre at a really good part in the story. Im about halfway through and the sun went out, and we love how the choices affect different timelines as well as meeting new people or going to new places. In another play we did on our phone, we didnt even meet Etienne at first. So Im super happy we got it on our iPad and played it again to see him, overall we do love it just tone it down on the ads or make it like one dollar to get rid of them.
