This really is a solid game. The graphics and art style are different. Not pixels or anime, but a nice painting-like style throughout. The battle system is a good turn-based style, which is a nice break from the adventure-like games we generally play.
Please remove this game from the App Store. We downloaded it today. Upon opening the game is is stuck with the prompt processing data. Clearly it is trying to connect a server which has most likely not been maintained or monitored so the app will never open and be playable. We have the newest iPad Pro. It sends a really bad message when someone downloads a game and it wont even open. Its better that it not even be available for download if thats the case. It hasnt been updated in like 3 years so clearly its a dead game. Very pathetic in our opinion on. We would leave 0 stars if we could.
After playing this game for a little while, we think its awesome. The art looks cool, the free stuff you get makes it easy to have a running start so it doesnt feel like your locked at the beginning. The only problems we have with the game are the facts that the loading times can be a bit long. And the gacha system. Now dont get us wrong the system in itself isnt all that bad. But the fact that you have to rely on it to get so much feels a bit off to us. Unless we just havent reached that far into the game and theres eventually a way to earn skills. We have noticed that the only way to get skills for characters is to use the gacha system in the store and hope for luck. If there was a way to earn skills. Like maybe hitting a certain level on a character gives that character a skill. It would be worlds above a lot of other games Ive played.
This is the type of game Ive been looking for. Its turn based and enjoyable to play.
Im Having so much fun playing this game! Exactly what we were looking for.
The combat is pretty good, which is necessary because thats what most of the game consists of. Progression never feels too slow. Attractive art style, well designed characters and foes, satisfying sound effects. Basically, the atmosphere is good. The story is a bit generic, but who plays for the riveting storylines? Few minor complaints. Slow to load, unnecessary online, quality of like stuff like inability to hit collect all on rewards, and not all character are treated equally. We just want Isabel and Duku to have skins. Is that too much to ask.
We really love this game its one of the best and enjoyable games we have played on our phone, but please therere some features that we really need in this game and some server fixes. Feature to be added if possible: – Being able to use more than 5 scroll to enhance. – 10x draw for Fp and premium draws. – Purchasing more inventory room faster and easier than 5 at a time please. – And please this one !!! (Auto battle) !!! And the last one please fix the loading time its really too much!! Everything needs a 10-30 sec loading screen.
Modern day turn based rpg with no auto? Nonsense.

Have tried this a couple of times since it was new. Still lacks the capability of exploring a map, so it is too linear, not like the great old RPGs.

We were hooked after 20 minutes. After two days, we were spending money in the $$ shop gladly after swearing we wouldn't. It's just that addicting; we don't know if that's good or bad lol.

Game crashes at desert area blocking progress. Typical game engineered toward gambling with random rolls on items and abilities. And the greatest bane of all – inventory management.
In 25 min that we had this "game" it crashed, piss poor workmanship.
Easily addictive, gameplay is simple to grasp but there is room for expansion in later game. Graphic is great. Our only complaint is the typical fan-girl complaint: "Tons of waifu but one or two husbando! What's up with that, Devs?!".
We've spent about more than 3days worth of game time and the game is very enjoyable and has a good rpg element. The only issue we seem to have with the game is that we can't proceed to the desert section of the game? Not sure if it's a bug or something but hopefully it gets resolved soon.
Got into this game long after its release, but it is miles ahead of iOS RPG's that have come out after it. Voice acting, huge variety of characters, spells, and equipment. What's not to love.
Loving the game so far very detailed and u can really sink some time into it. Update. Been in for a month now and still loving it lots to do so far it is t a p2w if u play a lot to get skills etc and raid. All in all loving it and recommend it to rpg lovers.
This is the best this kind of game. The graph is just the best. And there are some bad nonsense reviews, looks like from the same person. But this is the best mobile RPG game you should try.
We love the game design, graphic design, graphics, quality of app running, low load times, and downright fun gameplay. But please for the love of all things good in this world pay your translation/localization team more money and give them more time to get the job done, the grammar and word choice and ordering issues hurt our native English speaker soul. Also more female characters (and there are already several available) would be appreciated, though perhaps consider trying to give them more actually functional clothes/armor. We don't mind the characters being sexy as long as all the characters get a similar treatment (which in this game, at least, we get the impression you are trying to do with things like Cain's tuxedo skin), but we just feel like the wizard lady and Vanessa especially would get severely injured way to quickly. Also if things go well write a better script for your poor voice actors, the translation choices made with the original script must have been hard on them. Don't get us wrong we do really enjoy this game and will be doing our best to keep up with updates, especially since the easy to use turn based combat is so much fun (not to mention pretty). Lastly on that whole localization/translation issue, if you're worried about finding staff, at least for English work, we don't think you'll have an issue finding people in native-speaking countries that would love to help remotely with the work for reasonable pay. We say this because we would gladly take such a job, we'll be keeping an eye on your website every month or so with hopes you start looking for additional staff. And just to reiterate, great game definitely worth a download and serious try.
It's a great Game that has had us up all night playing it on our phone.

Portrait mode, good leveling, cool character, fun combat.
A lot of characters to choose, but maybe too many.
Ok so here is our review in short simple points. Pros: 1. Excellent battle system with great skill variety. 2. Quick battle system when you're on the go. 3. Good story with advancing plot. 4. Awesome 2d graphics. Cons: 1. Leveling and progression badly scaled. (Going from normal world to heroic is near impossible) 2. Scroll combine should be where you can select your element, not random. 3. Not pay to win, but rewards other than daily stamina could be awarded after you reach end game. 4. Drawing with FP could be a little more dynamic. Ex. "Use 500 FP to draw an expert and above skill" or something of that nature.
We like the game, it is entertaining.
Like turn based wow, you can easily sink hours into this game. The battery drain is a little fast considering the game is fully 2D. Other reviews mentioned trouble with language but you can freely switch between different languages in the menu so we don't really have this issue.
Each patch they add breaks this game even more. You need to constantly force close the game for it to even work. Chat system doesn't work. This game is very pay to win. Half the tooltips are in Chinese and the ones in English are so poorly translated you still don't even know what the abilities do. With the latest patch they took away what little endgame this game had. We normally love these rpg grind games where you min max characters. But this is just impossible to play right now. Terrible game.
A great game that uses little data! It's very interactive and no pay to play required to have decent gear! We recommend for anyone looking for a reliable game to kill time. We have been playing it for almost a year and the updates keep it going.
This game has found a permanent home on our phone.
We like it. Great graphic and we like how you can leave them on quest to gain stuff when youre not playing. Need more option for skin and cheaper way. 30$ for 1 skin come on?! Make it payable by crystal.
Playing this game actually gives us a feeling of progress. We feel like we're hardly even playing and app.

Really good game…. Weapon leveling, character leveling, armor leveling…. We couldn't ask for more… You don't run out of stamina right away like all other types and the Graphics are great.

Was difficult to understand at first mostly the tutorial but plenty of everything so trial and error.
Great little D&D-like RPG. Old school turn-based with a modern twist. Deep gameplay and an excellent threat system.
By shortening the action sequences of dungeon crawling adventure, Chromatic Souls makes a decent game in app form. Paying seems to mainly speed the story up, not mandatory. Decent plot so far (90 minutes in).
Seems like a decent game have only got 30 Mins play time so far but look coward to trying more.
Good mechanics, but the game needs better localization very badly.
This game has the potential to be amazing we hope the creators really read these because it would be nice they need to make some more game modes and it would be amazing.

It crashed before, but now it crashes very frequently…like every 5 minutes That being said, overall, this game is good and the update brought a lot of new stuff. It would be awesome if the crashing issue was fixed.
