Have had this on our phone since it came out and still play it. Its timeless and genius on many levels. Once youve played enough to learn the ropes, youre instantly making interesting decisions on the first screen, and its perfect for picking up and putting down on a whim, while still having significant long session/score runs available.
Impossible to put down once you get going.
To put it simply, this is our most played IOS game over the last few years. It can be frustrating at times but it's an incredibly fun ride. Truly genius design.
Believe it or not, figuring out the Portuguese is part of the game. Trust us, its awesome. Buy his immediately and get his equally brilliant Imbroglio as well.
Cinco Paus is a game that deserves everyones attention, but wants no ones. Its the most frustrating, rewarding, secretive, thoughtful, incredible roguelike that Ive played in ages. We cant recommend it enough.

There is simply no comparison to his creativity in his games. By far our favorite developer of all time.
If Michael Brough didn't exist then the God of Apps would have to invent him. A while game about unidentified magic wands. One more go factor is strong with this one.
Cinco Paus is full of secrets. Cinco Paus makes you learn. We learned from Cinco Paus. We understood Cinco Paus. Then a new thing happened. Cinco Paus is full of secrets.
This one has an almost comic level of initial unfriendliness but if you have the patience and curiosity to paw past the mischievous befuddlement – very smart, fun, addictive game.
We've loved all of Brough's iOS games, and this one's already enthralled us for hours a day since its Christmas release. 868-Hack and Imbroglio are still delighting us years after their release, and we're fairly certain this one will too.
This was a great buy. Ill be playing this obsessively for months.
And this time he does it in Portuguese. Amazing. We have never been so glad to be messed with. We are not sure if we should learn Portuguese or just embrace the experience of learning something we do not understand through experimentation.
