A Glimpse into College Football Coach
In College Football Coach, you play the newly-hired head coach at your college of choice. As head coach, it will be your responsibility to manage your team’s strategy, play through seasons, recruit new players, and above all, win national championships.
When you start your career, you’ll inherit a roster of 48 players (23 starters) and you can select how you want them deployed by picking from different playbooks on offense and defense. Each of these playbooks gives your team different in-game stat boosts that could help (or hurt!) them against their next opponent.
Your team will play 12 games in the regular season: nine against your conference opponents once and three out-of-conference games. The most important game of the regular season is your rivalry game: winning it will net you more program prestige points, while losing it will cost you some.
Want to put on a headset and roam the sidelines yourself? You can call plays LIVE by selecting the “Play Game” option when starting a new game week! Each playbook has 10 different plays to choose from, hand-selected from historic and current team playbooks and each with their own unique set of in-game bonuses. Don’t want to worry about scheme or routes? Turn on “Basic Playcalling” mode in the Settings panel and cruise to victory with a simpler set of plays on your play sheet.
As your team progresses through the season, pollsters will determine how good (or bad) your team is compared to others. Where you’re ranked will be determined by a number of factors: wins, margin of victory, strength of schedule, and more, and determines who gets into a bowl game and the semifinals (and therefore the National Championship game). At the end of the season, your team will gain or lose prestige based on their final ranking versus their expectations!
After the season is over, you’ll get to recruit the next class of players that will lead your team to bigger and better wins. You’ll face off against teams across the country for the same players, and your program’s prestige will affect how good the players available to you are. Stronger teams will be able to recruit higher-quality players, while weaker teams will need to allocate their effort strategically in order to build up their rosters.

We honestly love this game they need to come out with a basketball game frfr.
We love this game but do you guys intend on making a NFL like game because we would LOVE it because you can make drafting harder and doing some other little things like contracts, trades and so on.
We love this game a lot, for right now the only thing we can say we would like to see is the OL description be turned into LT, LG, C, RG and RT. As well as the Safety position having both FS and SS. The last thing we would love to see is a pro football version that allows you to import the draft classes from this game.
Good challenge playing on hard and starting with one of the bottom conference teams.
This game is continuously updating and already has everything you need in a CFB game without the gameplay. Still the way the game keeps up with history and stats is amazing. To us this is just as cool having the ability to store all this info rather than having a gameplay component. Very well done and hope the developer continues pushing more updates in the future. Great game overall, reminds us of NCAA football on consoles. Would love an update with the opportunity to start as a coordinator and get offered a head coaching position with progression. Please make it happen!

Amazing Game we have found an issue in the game where it does not record all the defensive stats in a game. We have done our own confirmation of this theory by keeping a irl stat sheet of our defensive players compared to what the stats show after and pass deflections are counted 1/3 or less of the time. Kind of frustrating if ur trying to develop Defensive players and try to win DPOYs but what ever. Thanks for the amazing game tho.
This game is awesome. We love the details and recruiting. And the option to rebrand the teams is awesome. Definitely recommend to play this game.
Played the game for awhile now, all the updates are great. But for some reason we are getting sanctioned and losing prestige we never even use bag men.

We have one complaint and thats that you havent made more of these. We need basketball and pro leagues please.

We’ve only been playing this game for a short time but we cant put it down. This game can be really fun at times but we feel like there are some issues that make it less so. The good things about this game are the customization, recruiting and career mode. Customization makes this game great because you can pretty much do what you want to and make your own college football league. The recruiting allows you to build your own team to your liking. And the career mode allows you to choose what school you go to and how you play the game. The bad things about this game are game mechanics, playcalling, ranking methods and unrealistic yardage and scores. One of the game mechanics we feel like is unfun is the turnovers. They come off as extremely random as if the game forgets they exist for a while and then they happen back to back to back. The playcalling is too simplistic, especially on the offensive side. In real football, coordinators are able to switch between spread, run heavy, and run pass option offenses throughout the course of a game. Unfortunately, you can only change your plays in between games. Another thing that ties into this is not having the ability to switch players during a game. The poll ranking is very messed up because we have seen undefeated teams very low or unranked and teams with a loosing record in the top 10. Sometimes this is early in the season which makes sense but a lot of the time it happens around week 6 or 7. And finally the unrealistic amount of yards that other teams can get makes it extremely hard for the player to get their players into contention for awards. The other teams quarterbacks stats especially are boosted to where they get around 400-600 yards per game which makes it near impossible to keep up. We think this might have to do with an rng mechanic that is in the core of the gameplay which absolutely ruins the immersion and fun of the game. Overall, we think this game can be really fun, we just think that theres some really annoying mechanics that can be unrealistic and some mechanics that are missing.
The game is good there is 1 minor issue we keep running into with the recruiting, but this is easily solved by swiping up. It exciting to see a team that you built get progressively better until you win a national championship.
No 2 minute warning, no timeouts, completed pass stops the clock entirely to where an entire drive could take no time, and a the worst thing is that an incompletion takes 30 seconds. This happens even if an incompletion precedes the play. We dont know you but we’ve never seen a snap last 30 seconds.
The only possible players we can recruit are LBS, DL, and CBS. So our defense is disgusting but we cant actually play the game correctly.
The recruiting reminds us so so much of the NCAA football games but the gameplay is such a letdown, let us tell you we wasnt expecting to actually play as the QB and all that but we have 6 or 7 run and pass plays and its so boring just calling the same plays, and on defense it makes no sense that the other team rushes for -13 yards but gets sacked for -3 yards. We recommend you to not play this because you can get so into the recruiting and then that time you spent wasted for a boring play call system. We sorta feel like its luck based.

Perhaps the cleanest, most user friendly football manager on the App Store. The recruiting process is simplified a lot but is still complex behind the scenes and gives the feeling of risk. The game is challenging (in the best way), and it gives the feeling of building a franchise from the ground up. We love the fact that teams can get relegated or promote division. Our only complaints are that since there is no roster limit, you can fudge the system a bit by getting as many players as you can and hoping they develop well. We routinely would have over 100 players compared to other teams 50 before we retired. We also wish that you could see your rivals, or have new rivalries develop over time. Altogether though, cant praise the game enough.
We love this game but what we think would be cool is to be able to customize the teams so that we could put actual college team name in it.
Please make a College basketball version too.
We love how simple yet fun this game is. The only thing we wish is that yall would make a NFL game thats just like this. All the other college and NFL games can get to complicated and difficult. But this game so simple that it makes it truly more enjoyable.
Greatest sports mobile game out there but we were wondering with the new NIL thing if there was going to be an update with that integrated in the game? Even if it was changing the bagman part of recruiting.

We’ve played this game for years and have no complaints! Passes the time and is fun. Minor tweaks to game that would only make this game much better! – Could we get a create a prospect and put them in the recruiting and try to sign them to our team. – can we do something with the prestiges? We were coach at The Ohio State and won 6 titles in 10 years and had a high prestige and recruiting was easy! We wanted to switch it up and go to another school and we went to a team that was really bad and had a low prestige. We feel if a coach who won titles and had a high overall goes to a low prestige school it should BOOST that new teams prestige because what the coach is bringing to the table. – could we edit our fields? Logo/designs .. We know we can do colors but it would be nice to do more. Just minor tweaks and add ons would be beneficial to brining a complete game! This game is near perfect. Thanks for all you do.
Love this game. We wish there was a Career mode where you could play forever without regressing. Sometimes in school mode we get bored of coaching the same team. We think it would make the game a lot better.
This is one of the most entertaining football games for the Iphone. While there isnt any control of the actual players you can do just about everything else as a coach. You hire, fire &set the offensive and defensive schemes. You recruit and explore the transfer portal. As a coach, you start off with lower ratings and grow them with wins. The school you coach gains prestige and recruiting power as the get better. You can get fired if you do a poor job, at the same time you can go to a better school if you do well. All around a great game with high replay value. We love the off-season especially.

Game is incredible!! This is our second review, our first wasnt so good because there was a save corruption issue for a while that really held the game back. Well that seems to be fixed and we dont have any complaints really about the game its a lot of fun. One thing that could be added besides the promotion option would be to realign the conferences altogether in the off-season. This would make conference prestige mean a bit more and make inter conference games more competitive in later seasons. A bigger skill gap between teams that are in the power 6. We hope you get a chance to read this!!
Hi. This game is AMAZING!!!! We cannot understates how much we love this and how much more it needs to be appreciated. We have just one problem though. We have 0 clue how to put people on the ring of honor ( basically the hall of fame) we see CPU teams doing it all the time and It would be really cool if we could do that to. Great game, thanks!
Great game. Its perfect honestly. Question for creator, have you ever thought about making a collage basketball game like this? If so it would be extremely fun with less people to recruit and March madness.
When we play, the tab for recruits isnt there instead there is a search option, please help we want to recruit in season.

This is a really fun game. We like how you can change different schemes on offense and defense. We like how you can see players and their stats and backgrounds. We would like to change colors and names of the team we are on in career mode. Our accounts are also being corrupted and we have to delete them when Im doing really good in them. Overall this is a good game and its fun to play and pass time with.
This game is a fantastic yet highly underrated App Store addition that we have been playing for well over a year now. At first, we had thought this game was a bit challenging, and a bit overpowered in certain playbooks (Spread, specifically.) but we’ve been able to tune out certain teams for certain playbooks. We love this game, and have spent 100s of seasons on multiple profiles to create intense storylines, and dynastys. Highly recommend giving this game a chance if you enjoy the analytics and rivalry culture of college football. PLEASE PLEASE make a Pro-League version of this game. We feel like keeping players for extended periods of time, and having to work out things such as salary cap, team happiness, and a trade system would be incredible from this game developer.

We dont ever do this…. But we love this game. Just won the CFP with CLS! Keeps us in the college football mode all year. One suggestion: is there any way to fix the opening possession starting at the wrong 25 yard line. And any way to make a halftime?
This app is cool. We’ve done well over 100 seasons now and we still crave winning the National Championship Game. Hard mode is hard indeed and we wont play any other way now. Recruiting is so important. Thumbs up!
Our files KEEP getting corrupted. We love this game and every aspect of it. This is really the perfect game but we can never go past a few seasons without our files being corrupted. We really wanted to keep playing this and we probably will, but we dont wanna keep having to restart.
Every time we modify recruit list using filter the recruit prospects list says none are available. We have to exit and re-enter app to have prospects show up. Cool game but this resulted in us have to go down huge list to select recruits again. Any help appreciated. Cool app though!!!
The way recruiting used to be was more fluent and you could select between positions better. Also players were grouped better just a thought great game though thank you Edit: also why is that we cant turn high or even medium recruits interests into strong anymore?

Love this game and every part about it! But would love to be able to have our friends compete in the same dynasty as us. Have someone as commissioner and 3 other open spots. We absolutely love this game! It has gotten much better over the years. We have a few suggestions to further improve upon the coordinator positions: To our knowledge it is not possible to sign the coordinators to extensions. When their contracts are up, they are removed from the team in the off-season. Adding extensions will further add to the sense of realism in terms of building a dynasty. When you get hired by another team, you should have the option to take with you or leave a coordinator. They shouldnt automatically come with you. The ability to fire a coordinator before their contract is up. Keep up the GREAT work!!!!
