Finally remember nitendo 64 version this was always been our favorite.
The only bad thing is the pay to win.

They did an excellent job of adapting this. Its fun. It just needs a better story lol.
This is a total pay to play nonsense, the first few hours was fun but when it came to leveling up, its a total scam! Either you fix it or take this crap off app stores.
AtFirst we were reading the reviews and it kinda let us down but when we started playing it and collecting all the rewards before we proceeded every time to play it was refreshing to know its NOT pay to play if you concentrate on the rewards before you play next and you must know that you do not just play the levels to collect rewards you have to play P versus P or any other ppunlocked features that allow you to play too receive any rewards. You guys did a very good job on this game but it needs more levels and other features to collect more rewards soo you dont have to wait too long for any energy.
Great Job bringing back a classic a in a very cool way!! Please bring this to the switch! It will do so will!!!
This takes us back hope they can keep it with future installments for mobile and consoles.
You know allot of the reviews are bad cause you have to spend money we havnt spent 1$ and it plays fine to us our only complaint is there just too much stuff to get and its hard or just confusing on how to get it you shouldnt have to go through 3 steps just to get a new gun or equip it or upgrade it or you have to be at a certain level to go to the next level the old contra you just play new guns fall out of the sky and you just shoot everything thats it some kind of game genius came up with this one cause our god there just so much stuff to do and get and buy ect ect ect like the list of things goes on forever how did anyone just sit and make this game and think all this was necessary to make a good game it was nice that they showed what to press the first few times cause we would have no idea what to do now Im at the point of every level says our gun power is to low but we have no idea how to make it higher.
Its amazing but if you want to add something you can.
Contra is great but there more fun packed action of jumper and gunner is excited.
As an OG Contra fan, we’ve grown up with the franchise and played them all. We were thrilled to see this brought back. So far Im loving it. Theres tons of modes to play but we will say you really have to hit level 40 before the game opens up to you. We have not run into control issues like other people have mentioned so we suppose it could be the hardware used. Plays fine on iPhone 12 Pro though. To the devs: energy is too stringent (or the cost to raid or run missions is too much). It halts progression to a point where you pay or (what most people will do) uninstall the app in frustration. This might also tie into the need to basically level the heck out of weapons so you can advance to the next level and continue playing story missions. We invested a bit into this game but did so smartly so we are not disappointed at anything. But we would look into more ways to earn energy because it will halt progress for a lot of players and ultimately could stifle the game. What is here is AWESOME and we look forward to whats to come.
It would be awesome if this game worked on the backbone controller.
We love the story. The story is one of the best parts of the game. Although we hate the multiplayer. It feels as if the multiplayer is missing something, we just dont know what. Other than that the game is very fun! Its not that pay to play, it performs well. The graphics are decent. Its all around a solid game!
We’ve been playing contra since we were 5 years old on the original NES and we’ve played every iteration made of the game! From all the terrible ones to all the great ones and let us tell you this game is amazing for us old school fans! Yes its free to play which we usually hate but it rewards nicely with the VIP system and you dont have to spend a lot to gain a lot! We always support devs and even thought we’ve spent a bit more than we’ve wanted to (Im a contra super fan, so it got me) our friend has only payed once (support the developers!) and has gotten massive rewards just by doing all the daily missions there are to (and there are PLENTY others to do). It isnt a perfect game but for a game on the App Store thats fermium it does its job to us 80s and 90s kids. And if youre from the new era and love side scroller shooters then power to you! We reccomend it to the fullest! It gets hardcore but which contra doesnt? 7.5/10.
Good job on the remake of a retro game.
This game is an amazing blend of classic and new with a ton of missions, challenges, upgrades and of course weapons! And even though theres plenty you can spend real money on, it doesnt feel like a pay to win type game. We cant wait to see what new updates come to the game as time goes on.
First Im a be Fan of the Contra games grew up with the NES version .. Even still remember the infinity life code you could put in at the beginning of the game. So. We take the game to heart to say the least. 1st the game play is great. We feel like Im playing contra. We love all the added elements of the game from the heros to the weapons.. We dont even mind spending real money on this game .. But now for the 2 things we hate the most. 1 the energy you have to wait for your energy to refill to continue to pay the game. 2 you have to be a certain lvl to continue on your campaign mode .. Its ok to have the game make you reach a certain lvl to open up certain aspects of the game. But not the campaign.. Give us that at least. And the energy system should also not apply to campaign.. These 2 things limits our playing on how long we can play. And causes us to play other games with the free time we have and makes us forget about playing this game. This will eventually make us uninstall the game do to lack of game play .. We are a play to win player. But we cant see myself investing in a game that we dont really get to play as freely as Id like. We wanted this game to have so much contra play that our eyes started to hurt from the amount of screen times our eyes was seeing. We hope you all take this to heart and give us more contra to play.
It be fun to even try to put in the code to get 30 men but how can you win you guys dont have any kind of control support this game would be cool if it had control support we hate when we have to use the controls on a screen and in that matter it makes it hard for us to shoot up down,Pretty much anywhere 360 except for in front of you. Dont like that you have to pay for a lot of stuff extra special feature stuff but hey its three in the first place so whatever. Im enjoying the game but Im just so let down about no controller.
The app work god at the beginning but we want to uninstalled cuz it stopped working and we cant uninstalled what can we do.

Hi we love this game but it would be better if theres a controller support. We just got the backbone controller for iPhone, but it doesnt work with this game . Anyway we hope they can fix this in the future.

So nostalgic.. Played this when we were a kid growing up.. Im still early in the game but we have not hit a paywall yet and thats wonderful. We dont mind spending money to play, but we dont like being bullied into it.. Which the game has not done yet.. We would give it 5 stars if controls where better.. We guess, they are as good as can be for a phone game though.. We might invest in a controller, if this game supports. We LOVE IT..
We have been waiting for Konami to release any Contra game for a long time and this does not disappoint except for no controller support. The touch controls are pretty good compared to most mobile games but would love controllers on this one to give it that classic feel. Otherwise its a great game, having a lot of fun with it so far. Also though could you possibly convince Konami to release some mobile versions of some classic contra games like alien war for the snes, that would be awesome, since they finally released symphony of the night to mobile we feel like contra 3 would be easy for them to port. Thank you.
The game is fun but for some reason when we first played it we able to use our Razer Kishi controller. Now we cant use it at all. The game is easier and more fun to play with the controller. Can you update it to be compatible with the controller instead of using the touch screen. We lose interest with the touch screen.
Im enjoying the game. Just one small issue, Im not able to sign into our appleID to continue playing the game. We want to play but it wont allow us to get in and play.

All we need to rate it higher is a retro/pixelated mode so we can feel like Im playing contra.
We LOVED classic Nintendo contra first of all! We had very high hopes for this game. Though the game introduced SO MUCH information in the first few chapters we were able to look past it hoping that we wouldnt have to start paying for a little while. We played for one day. The next day we didnt have enough stamina / firepower to continue without paying. We upgraded everything we could to get enough. The levels are short but well done. The classic contra feel is there with the same sound effects / visuals from the original. We just needed a few more days of play to be hooked enough to pay or even just make the game $5, or $10 so we could play the entire thing. Good try guys!
We love these types of games but most of them are to bent on money than enjoyment. What Im talking about is the requirements of this game. First, you need internet to play, which is not listed in the description. It seems like companies and developers are constantly making this feature just to get continuous revenue from ads. They call them on-the-go games and you can play them anywhere, but really, its anywhere that has WiFi. We want to be able to play on our own terms without very many restrictions like these. Especially the campaign. The Original Contra games were never like that, you could play them absolutely anywhere with no restrictions or cache. They didnt require internet. There should be an offline mode where can play without internet, but you just dont have as many playing options. Also, if you do play multiplayer, there should be an option to play with bots, so you can train while youre offline and therefore, test your skills against real players when you have a WiFi signal. That would be great. Please add those and youll earn a loyal player.
Is this compatible with the moga controller cuz its not letting us do anything.
We are playing Contra in Android device with our Google id Now we have changed our device to iOS, we don’t have access to login with our Google id nor we can merge our date to FB id.
This could be an amazing game but the controls feel clunky, the UI in menus and home screens is convoluted and needlessly confusing to navigate. We would suggest that these devs play some Mr Autofire to see how its done. Really disappointing. Hopefully it gets a big overhaul in an update at some point but as is this just isnt a whole lot of fun.
We have a problem now when we log in it keep saying unknown network please check your internet but our internet network is fine all fine why right bow is giving us this note ? Everything was doing fine playing normal.
It can be hard to play on the ipad since it’s unwieldy. We would appreciate an option to use an xbox controller to play this game. Another issue is that the energy replenishes too slow.
The game is a lot of fun and you really dont have to pay to have fun and level up. However, we feel the game doesnt reward you with sufficient enough amount of exp in the various game modes for a player to have a continuous and immersive game experience.
Our excitement for this game quickly vanished when we discovered it is a pay to play Gacha game. After only a couple days of playing, the gameplay has slowed enough that we can only play for about 5 minutes before running out of stamina. So that is what we are left with, playing for 5 minutes a day or paying to play more. Very disappointing. The basic gameplay had promise, but they added way too much stuff and it is so complex and confusing we dont even know what the value of things are or what we should be trying to do. They are constantly throwing things at you to spend money. Just sell the game for like $10 or something and let us play it when we want without having to spend money everyday. Update: After playing for another week, more content has opened up that allows for a player to get by without spending money. Much of the pvp content will be out of reach as time goes on, without spending, but for the FTP players out there, if you dont mind having your leveling slowed it can be a fun game. Better guides are definitely needed. There is a bunch of stuff we still dont understand and there is no place to look up what to do.

Legion lvl is taking little Effect in construction our legion is supposed to receive a better shop a better daily login our legion is lvl 4 and everything is maxed out until we lvl up Legion lvl to lvl 5 (Short Response) Legions isnt getting upgrades such as better shop login rewards etc.
So far Im enjoying the game but there are definitely some issues. We cant seem to play any PvP or PvE game modes. We’ve tried contacting their live chat support but its just an automated system which references questions from their FAQ and usually those questions have nothing to do with our issue. We’ve tried on several different WiFi connections and our phone data and still nothing but we get mail from the admin saying Im disconnecting too much…. Please fix your servers.
The game is awesome. Brings us back to the OG which we still play to this day. Graphics controls all fantastic. Only thing we have an issue with is that you have to level up to get to the next level and if you dont want to pay, can take a few days if you are no constantly raiding to get XP.
