We love cooking mama, its an addicting game to play whenever your bored. But im definitely missing out on some things in this game because the absurd amount of pop ups telling you to watch ads for coins. We cant understand anything on our screen because as soon as a try to touch something something pops up. Otherwise, its a cute game.
Ill get an ad and itll make the whole game freeze and then we lose our progress. We love the game though because it reminds us of the ds version but the micro-transactions and ads ruin it in our opinion.
We remember playing this at the age of 6 or 8 and we’re 12 years old now. We’re so happy we found this game again because this erased from our memory. We learned how to cook eggs and hotdogs thanks to this game! We love you guys so much – from yours truly, Lexi!
We’ve loved this game for quite a while. Its fun and addicting!! We for sure recommend this game for those who enjoy cooking. The recipes are near accurate but we wouldnt follow them for an important event with food. The only thing we do not like is the in app purchases and ads. Otherwise, this game is wonderful!

We’ve always loved cooking games, since we were a kid being able to mix ingredients and cut vegetables and fruits has always been fun. This takes us back to that time and is a great stress reliever!! Theres very few games like this and its sad really but thankful this one keeps it as close to cooking s as possible!! We own all recipes and we think that is our only complaint, we need more recipes! Im ok buying them because they are really cheap and its worth the ongoing uniqueness of the game! With so many new foods, cuisines out there leaves you an opportunity to add so many more recipes! We dont care for the side games but we do play them just to get the ingredients! Would love to see just good recipes we can cook and continue to gain ranks as a chef!! We hope theres an update soon for new recipes!!!
Ok, so like, we love this game, if you go into the settings you can actually turn off ads so its a better experience. We love the recipes and the fact that you gather your own ingredients by playing various mini games to get happy foods, people are saying that this game has too many ads, and theyre probably blind. This game is awesome, we love the new recipes, we have every version of the game, and this is definitely a good choice ! Edited: The game is still awesome, but also some suggestions, 1, maybe you could add a feature where you can play Mama Dojo with someone else, or even just AI, it doesnt really matter what because it is just fun with the pressure of someone else racing to get the same recipe done as you are. Another feature you could add is in-game videos. Every time we try to watch the cooking mama videos it takes us to YouTube and pop ups take over our IPad and it is annoying, it would make such a difference if you could change that. Another thing, we would love to be able to be able to see Cooking Mama at our restaurant sometime, it could be like a special chance! Or a reward if you have been doing well in your cooking, and it could be like you personally serve her the food. Thats all, just some suggestions we think would make this game so much better. Other than that, we will keep playing this game.

We really love cooking mama and we wanted this game to live up to the DS version. We feel like it kinda falls short: the cooking part of the game is fun but not challenging at all, sometimes it wont detect that im doing the motion so ill fail the task. We like how there is a restaurant section that allows you to decorate and get money for the dishes you make. We would like to see that be a bigger part of the game instead of all of the other mini games. The mini games just make it seem like the developers are overextending themselves. Frankly its a bit overwhelming and confusing. They have a good game if they focus on the important aspects; cooking & restaurant. With so many game features, it just kinda feels meh. We really want to like this game but its buggy and its not really cooking mama.
Game crashes about 30% of the time after an ad closes causing us to have to restart and lose progress.
We wanted the nostalgia. This game is so much all at once. From the moment you open the app there’s 5 different pop ups telling you to watch ads for coins and other useless things. You complete a recipe and there’s another 5 more pop ups telling you to watch more ads to unlock other recipes. It’s so disappointing.
By the way Im a boy Im not going around playing a stupid girl game that is just so dumb.

The game is good overall we don’t have any packs but the majority of the food you don’t need internet and that’s a big w in our book.
We remember playing this when we were younger and we always played it. We deleted for some reason and never played it for a few years. Coming back to this game gives us so much nostalgia. Its still fun for us even if Im older.

This is the best game ever, whenever we were feeling down or we were sad or when we were really bored and we didnt know what other game to play we wold choose this one it was one of the most entertaining and exciting games ever we got to learn how to cook and mama cooking was like a real mom. We have no other words to say for this, because how great it was but shortly after a while, we had to delete it because we had to delete it to save storage in our phone but AnyWho this was the best game ever and if we had a choice to re-download it, we would.
We used to play Cooking Mama: Cooking with Friends on the Nintendo DS. Our DS is now broken, we found this and decided that we would play this for nostalgia. First, the ads! The ads are literally everywhere! In between each step, after you finish a dish, when you visit the kitchen! Plus, some of the ads are for adult games and have some pretty suggestive topics! Second, the graphics are even worse than the DS, they tried to make it 3D, but it made it look like a knockoff. The controls are also very clunky and we cannot finish a dish most of the time because the controls are bricks! Third, at least 45% of all content is locked under a paywall! We have to pay 25$ just to do all 50 dishes! She also no longer gets mad, she just gets kind of annoyed.
We dont like because it makes you do plain stuff an you cant level up.
We cant even start cooking because of all the B.S. Advertisement going on the screen.
So about the game its very bad we dont like the sound its annoying and hard to keep stirring our finger hurts and to many things were in front of other things so nah.
Im not sure why they are allowing some of the advertisements they have in this game. This is a game for children and every single ad is for Episode, with people making out, laying in bed with hardly any clothes on, or even one ad where a girl was shaking as a man touched her. This is so wildly inappropriate for a kids game. Please remove the adult ads off of kids games everywhere!!!! We dont even have kids and Im only 23 years old, but this makes us so sad.

Its such a good game like when we get home from school this is all we play Side note this was in the 3 or 2 grade.

The best game to play when youre craving old school cooking mama so fun and true to form.
This is one of these games that you would play not too often but its there when you need it most like if you have no cell on your phone and you would just played this until you would get your cell back and sometimes in the car that takes a while. Or when youre just bored of Roblox or Minecraft, you just have this game waiting for you to play it! We will be honest we dont play this every day but its nice to go back to it! Theres are lots of things you can do like fishing, running a grocery store, running a restaurant, farm, and plant garden! For everybody saying that the nostalgia got lost in this game, and there are too many updates, we say to that in order for a game to keep getting downloads, it needs to get updated and there are going to get some changes or else the game will just be boring. Up-to-date or else it will be labeled as outdated. Also if they didnt have updates, you dont wanna do the same food dish over and over again! So its nice to have new foods and recipes to try! We love that there are lots of cultures and different foods in this game. They are Asian food, Italian food, French food, Arab food, Indian food, all of the food! Even though cooking, mama herself is said to be Asian that doesnt mean she cant cook a world worth of food! This game is great for all ages five or 50 it doesnt matter. Its a great game and we highly recommend to anybody who likes cooking or mini games in general. Its very addicting and you will be glued to your screen trying to do every dish you can! (I have a bias because we grew up with this game, but this is pretty accurate to anybody who hasnt played the game before) Lots of love, MuffinPlays.

Must download, its so much fun to play especially when you have no wifi. THERES SO MUCH MORE TO THE GAME THAN COOKING!! Its so much fun and HIGHLY recommend downloading!!
Its great but thar is a timer.
We LOVE THIS GAME! However, with the refrigerator organizing game, it doesnt work for iphone because the bar on the phone gets in the way.
Don’t get us wrong it’s a good game! But there is too much popping up on our screen and it gets annoying.
The game is cute and a fun time waster :) however, it freezes often enough to be frustrating. We lose progress and have to re-do things and thats annoying.
The only criticism we have of this game, enough to the point to where we came to write a review, that we cant prepare the dishes ourselves once it is done being cooked. We remember playing this game on our DS and you could decorate the plate up with your cooked foods at the end of the meals. We were sad to see we couldnt do that and that the meal was just automatically done when it was finished cooking. Feels a little more of a basic app than the classic game.
There is really no way we can do all of these without getting 2 stars. The timers go way too fast!!!!!!!!!!!! Im rushing to cook to try and beat the timer but no matter what we do, we get 2 stars.
