  • Shell model letters auto-delete after you’ve claimed the shell model.
  • Clothing for Beatrice’s quest will now be available when her quest is active
  • The main menu "festival calendar" has been adjusted so that the end date of every festival is displayed as happening on the last full day of the festival, instead of the following day (festivals technically end at 5am local time, but midnight to 5am isn’t "another day" in most people’s minds!)

  • Prevent repeatable letters from being sent excessively.

  • Other minor bugfixes and improvements.

User Reviews on Cozy Grove

Looking for more information? Read a comprehensive review of Cozy Grove below:

We have basically been playing this game exclusively for the last month. After our first couple of days of playing it, we felt really frustrated that there wasnt more to do. Im really glad we stuck it out, though, because it didnt take long for there to be more than enough daily activities. 45 days in, this is one of the strongest games in Arcade and definitely our favorite.

We’ve been playing almost daily for a few months now and we really have enjoyed all the little stories the Bears on the island have. A lot of them cover darker topics that are a part of our lives, but it never feels edgey or inappropriate. Seeing the island slowly come to life while you expand and grow is very rewarding. The devs already announced they were making a sequel and thats great! We want to see more in this world. Our only complaints are minor nitpicky things such as better searching in crafting menus, being able to sort the recipes by new to let us clear out the red exclamation points, and things like that. We realize its too late to get such things for this game, but we hope they are still reading feedback to include in the next one. Definitely give this game a shot! Its a very enjoyable game.

Thanx for fixing the issue where we can pick up the game where we left off and not have to replay some of what was already done before saving our game. Great calming enjoyable.

We have been playing Cozy Grove for over 120 game days now. Yes, in the beginning it can require some patience. But you dont have to play the next day, or even the day after. Its there when you want it. We find the game play incredibly relaxing and straightforward. We do occasionally touch a spot on the screen accidentally and it sends our scout off in the wrong direction, but we think most of those bugs have been worked out. Its deceptively simple and, unlike similar games, theres an empathy to it thats quite extraordinary. We grow to love each and every bear, even the ones we were CERTAIN we wouldnt care for. We never thought Id begin to actually care about characters in a casual iPad game. For those who feel like it requires too much patience – it does require patience, not just at the beginning. Sometimes you just have to wait for a character to give you something another characters needs. So there is patience involved. We wouldnt say too much, however. And, without sounding like that person, we think the game has made us more patient for playing it. Its not instant gratification. We’ve had quests last for weeks and Im okay with it. Thank you for making Cozy Grove. We sorta feel like we’ve actually visited.

Like Stardew valley with a hand drawn style and wonderful characters with actual personality and charm. Very cute game, slightly repetitive and not good for grinding, you cant skip days or get multiple quests from the same bear on the same day, but overall fun and charming :)

Cozy Grove is a relaxing and engaging game with enough of a dark edge to indicate its clearly for adults. Our Type-A personality means we love completing all the to-dos every day, and the stories and character development are real and touching. Beautiful graphics and great experience. We’ve completed all the quests at this point and am just playing to see what new and interesting features each season and festival bring (while trying to complete all 144 badges ;)) Cant wait for Cozy Grove 2!

This is far by the most relaxing game that we have ever played the music is absolutely beautiful and the artwork is so cute and is very well made we love that there is an option to give hugs because no one should dislike a good hug right? Its the best game in Apple Arcade in our opinion, also we are sorry its rated 4.2 because it should be rated 5.0 its bad that people think that there is to much waiting but thats only because its actually giving you a life skill of patience instead of having to do everything at an time so in our opinion is the best game we have ever played.

So if you remember prodigy from the elementary school days, this reminds us a lot of it. It has all of prodigys good qualities and none of the bad. We loved it as a kid but hated that there was math, as well as battle. We love that there is no combat in this game, and you can go at your own pace. We have absolutely no complaints, but we do have some suggestions. We think there should be an interior to the characters tent, which could be customized and decorated by the player. Also, we would love it if there could be a hint button if you have no idea what a spirits description means, even just pointing in the general direction. Also, we do have one question: why am we unable to place a pet? Its the rainbow cat.

We absolutely adore this game. Amazing when Im overwhelmed and overstimulated. Nice colors. Nice soundtrack. The quests are annoying enough to keep coming back. Our favorite game.

This game is so fun and cute! Its a lot like Animal Crossing in the sense that you have to wait for the next day to unlock new things and reset the store, which can feel long but its understandable. The graphics and designs of this game are adorable, and we love the gameplay. Another fun aspect is getting to decorate the island. Having the option to decorate to your hearts desire is so cute and fun. We definitely recommend this game!!

First of all, Apple arcade is the best mobile games service to be honest. This huge amount of amazing games is just incredible. When we saw Samurai Jack, the pathless we were shocked. Cozy Grove is sopeaceful, mysterious, mindful, creative,. Etc. We can’t describe it, we just.. We can’t. WOW!!! Is all we can say WOW!

We literally just downloaded this game approximately 20 minutes ago and it is so cute and it got us hooked from the beginning and im super picky with games. Im going to be so sad when our 3 free months of apple arcade ends because we can already tell how attached im going to become to this game. What inspired us to write this review with suggestions (that we will add more to if we think of any over time) is that when it rains, id love it if the grove looked darker. Like how it does in real life when it rains. And we jusy love the dark too its very cozy lol. Im not sure if it gets dark there when it hits nighttime, but ill have to check later tonight. However that would be a cute feature to add.!! And we guess you could just mess around with filter settings to do it. Anyway we love this game. Sososo cute !!

We genuinely enjoy this game and find it adorable. We love the story and the cutesy design. However we’ve been noticing a problem with our gameplay we dont know if its happened with anybody else. Where half of our screen will not allow us to walk in that direction it does not respond to us touching it or our pen touching it our character is only able to walk to one side of the screen even if we click on the left side it walks in the opposite direction. We would play this game more if it allowed us to play without this problem. We’ve also checked to see if this happened on any other apps we had it and it hasnt occurred on any other ones in our tablet response fine for everything else. Which forces us to believe that this is something wrong with the app itself and its such a shame we wish it would get fixed.

We played this game on switch and downloaded on mobile so we could play it more. Its helped us calm down after panic attacks in the past. Its music specifically was calming. Our only complaint is that it takes a while to progress in this game but the appeal of it for us is that its a chill game anyways.

We really love this game, we have no problems with the game except it accidentally game us the new neighbors clc on accident. If theres a way we can pay for it or it be taken we would not mind. We understand thats how games make money and we really want to support this game. Ty.

PLEASE make if possible for us to edit the locations of things all at once! Its quite irritating to have to individually go to each object to move them.

The operation of this game on the iPad is very bad, and sometimes we want to go up, it forgets to go uncontrollably, and we can only exit the game and re-enter, hoping to improve this problem.

Ok so that this game shows real time in real life and that’s what we HATE we wish that minutes were seconds and minutes were hours and hours were days like we have to wait a whole day just to get one simple thing anyways thanks for listening.

We love this game and we really enjoy playing it , but there is a bug (not a technical one) that irritating and its that we cant move some of the trees and stuff and theyre changing constantly , we mean we place our flower somewhere and then the next day there are some stuff in their area that wasn’t there and it makes us change every thing all again . We mean tiding up the game is frustrating But every thing else is amazing.

Has a lot of issues still we hope they fix when Cody grove 2 comes out. Been playing a while and its really hard to complete a collection waiting for mythical bugs, shells, and fish to show up. We need like ten of each category of bug/ fish aka the mythical ones. Its all luck not really strategy. Would love more item interaction. Easier way to decorate. Back buttons in menus so it doesnt go out of convo completely if you need to do multiple things. Like cook more than one item, or Mrs Carouse menus. Etc. Still really enjoyable for casual game play.

We love this game so much we purchased a controller to play on our m1 macbook air. We purchased our controller from amazon. It’s a non brand bluetooth controller that promises to play on mac, pc, xbox and switch. We were able to play Cozy Grove with our controller just fine on our 2nd Gen iPad pro but the funny thing is it doesn’t work well on our 2020 macbook air. Why dies it work better on our old ipad but not our new macbook? Our only complaint is the game isn’t as game controller friendly as it says it is and we felt like we wasted a bunch of time trying to figure this problem out. We were able to play with the controller once in the game on our macbook air but we couldn’t use all the buttons. It was a frustrating experience. It was agonizing, so close yet so far. We prefer playing on our macbook because we use our ipad for other things but whatever it’s just a game. We’re wasting our time either way.

We love this game. We play it almost daily. The art work is beautiful and the story is really cute. Definitely cozy and something to play to pass some time. The game concept is easy and isnt to hard to get started. The issue we are running into is having to look up how to achieve some of the quests. We are currently on day 11, not to far into the game and had to look up on other resources how to get what we needed. We definitely think there should be a hint option or a better guide in the beginning (like a scouts handbook). If it wasnt for us taking the time to research a lot of things we definitely wouldnt be as far. We definitely wish you could play longer and get more achievements done in a shorter time period or get resources faster. Having to wait 24 hrs is a bit annoying. We dont have the option to play daily or on a schedule. We do enjoy the game overall, it just need some minor adjustments in our opinion.

Like the concept but the control gets stuck sometimes and no matter where we tap we will only move up the island (away from beach) till we get stuck at the edge and then we cant do anything.

This game is super cute and engaging. We love the gothy edge and the sad but realistic stories. However, it glitches constantly, closing without warning and losing our progress. We’ve started manually saving every so often, even though its set to save often, which helps. Still, the incredibly long load time is annoying and having to restart 3-4 times per play session is getting really old. Also, it would be nice to be able to bake multiple things without having to relaunch the crafting dialogue every time.

This game is SO entertaining. Always something to do. The new updated with Beatrice has made things a little more difficult in terms of moving forward. We CANNOT find where the crab goes in the pattern. Maybe allow another hint to show where the location is? The large map is amazing, but makes it difficult.

Playing on an iPad Air. First time playing the pencil worked fine, next time it didnt. Looked into it and seen the developers say pencil isnt compatible. But its how we played the first time, without issue. So there is a way. And honestly using our fingers for something like this is annoying. They really should fix this issue. But we found a hack! The way we get it to work is have pencil off when we open the game. Then open the game from complete close, not just switching tabs. Open Flameys menu right away. Then we turn on pencil and use that to go thru the menu. If it works to navigate flameys menu youre set. Once you get it working do not use your fingers at all! That will screw up the calibration. Sometimes when the calibration gets wonky we can bring it back by going into a menu and scrolling through that for a bit, or trying to hold/drag for navigating. As long as we dont touch the screen with our fingers we dont run into issues. Though we do sometimes get issue if we place our other hand on the back of our iPad which we find very weird. Also, not sure if it makes a diff but we use a off brand pencil not the Apple Pencil.

We love it but there is some flaws when syncing from our primary source of play: iPad to our iphone doesnt seem to work we have a different save point on our iPhone than our iPad.

The guiding system is not working properly. For example we try to go right and the little dot is on the far left of our screen. We wish yall would update this as it was a fun game.

We have play a lot of hours with this game and have found two problems with this game. The first is this annoying glitch that happens after talking to NPCs. For some reason, your character just starts walking north east continuously instead of anywhere you click. The second is the game does not work with an Apple Pencil. It feels like the perfect game to use it but its a huge missed opportunity.

ATM its a solid 3.5stars. So far the game is cute and we like the idea and dont completely hate the time-gate, but it would be nice if there was more to do than fishing, gathering or catching things. Decorating is an option but its annoying since you cant just tap an already placed item and move it. Your character has to go to it and then you can choose the interact options. We wish the game had a zoom out/in on the map. Navigation is annoying on our large iPhone. Itd be nice to zoom out, tap where we want to go, zoom in when we get to where we want. Our biggest gripe is collecting items for the fetch or gathering items. There needs to be obvious contrast or something to make the items stand out so you know they are interactable. If youre colourblind good luck finding anything, Im not and it takes way longer than it should to find things because they blend in with the surrounding areas. Even worse when the area is in colourless mode. This is made worse by how much the scenery blocks your view. You must get up close to every tree and bush and rock do it can become semi-transparent and maybe youll notice the item hidden behind it. The scenery doesnt get transparent enough if theres an interactable item behind it so youll run past the same spot multiple times. Additionally, the hints for items need to be better. If the hint is behind XX item then it needs to be behind it. Each time theres a specific location (behind, front) the item is nearby but never behind /front. The wording should at least be adjust to near/around/close to XX item. Also the tutorial needs to do more to help you understand finding the items for fetch quests. It would be great if your first fetch quests help explain the hints. For example one hint was under a broken urn. We’ve never seen a broken urn anywhere on the grove. We used the hint bear and it guided us to an area we’ve been before BUT the broken urn was a new and temporary object. Once we got the quest item the urn was gone. And because the broken urn didnt stand out against the permanent scenery it made it unnecessarily difficult to find. And interactable gathering points need priority when clicking. Its a pain to try to click on vines or dig spots or leaves but you, walk past them or walk to close and they become transparent, and not interactable. If we can gather from them they should have click priority, when we’ve taken all resources for the day they should not have priority. TL;DR Cute game but at minimum interactable items and gathering spots need significantly more contrast than the world around them. Hints need to be better worded and the tutorial could do better at introducing the games mechanics.

Three days into the spring festive and still no ducklings. We really love Cozy Grove but lately there are too many glitches. This is our second run through and trees don’t produces nuts like they should, walking around is frustrating because you don’t go the way you want or can’t stop, says you don’t have a flower planted when you do, and on and on. And now no ducklings.

During our time playing, we’ve really enjoyed it. Sometimes our game lags but this timethe worst! We can only go one direction, which means we cant play!

We like the game. Im early on but have definitely been getting cozy vibes from the game which is just what we wanted. But its buggy. Frequently our taps to move dont respond, which isnt even as bad as whenever Im by the water and tap to go somewhere, our character freezes and then walks in place for like 30 seconds to a minute. Im wondering if the game is this buggy across all releases.

We played this game last year then stopped for a while. Recently downloaded it on our iPad to play again and it doesnt work. It only allows our character to walk in one direction no matter where we click. At one point we entered our tent and the only way to get out of the tent was force close the game.

The game is cute, but we’re playing on our mac and we would really like to use our switch controllers for it. They work for other apple arcade games, and cozy grove says that controllers are supported, so we don’t understand why it won’t work :-(

Cute graphics and great story. Functions fine most the time. Not enough room at camp for the 900 required items that you have to set up at said camp. (decorations, trees etc). Not enough options for storage otherwise, you get a bag and throw stuff onto your tent floor and the flame hold some stuff. Coins to continually upgrade take forever to accumulate. (Newest upgrade is 200k) Do NOT donate anything to the captain until youve completed all your missions either or your out of luck on items you may need for tasks. At first it seems to be pretty steady gameplay. Check in with the characters and do whats asked. About 30 mins of game a day give or take. Typical passive game. However After about two weeks, youll reach a dead end. Waiting on items from other spirits but they dont give them up and its days between new tasks to even get said items. . We’ve had 4 pending for at least a week and not one item has been acquired. So nothing new, and cant complete old. Whats the point of taking up so much space on our phone if we only play for 20 mins once a week and still get nowhere? Uninstalled. Has great potential but a lot of issues.

The game controls were so difficult that we gave up and deleted the game entirely. As a side note apple Pencil should be available.

UPDATE: 7/22/22 Welp, developers arent going to fix the Apple Pencil problem. Its annoying to have to disable it in order to play the game and then reconnect it to use it with everything else on our tablet. But hate that it doesnt work with Apple Pencil. Im hoping that the developers will remedy (besides disconnecting the pencil from ones iPad to play the game) this issue soon. If not, its been fun but Ill probably delete it. Shame because we really like it.

The controls on this game do not work. We tap the top part of the screen and the character goes to the bottom. We tap the bottom and they go to the left. They do not work at all and the game is unplayable for us. It is way to frustrating to not be able to go where we tap on the screen.

This game isnt worth our sanity. Our inventory is always full, not everything can be burned. Archive space is work than the backpack space and when collecting things to help the bears, you get saddled with more things to take up space. We have things everywhere on the ground without a way to put anything to use. We enjoyed it for about 3 days and on the 4th day we were having trouble with space issues and moving forwards with the game.

Couldnt even play it. We couldnt move our character.. Clicks only registered in the top right, No matter where we clicked on the screen.

We know this game looks good but the tutorial is really looooooooooong and stupid.

We’ve deleted and reinstalled, restarted our iPad and started a new save and NOTHING is working!! No matter where we touch on the screen, our character only ever moves to the right. The little arrow to show where the character is going only ever appears on the far right side of our screen, no matter where we touch! Please fix this so we can continue enjoying the game. Otherwise it is completely unplayable!

We know this game is actually great, but its currently not functioning on IOS at all. We touch the screen and our character heads off in a completely different direction and will not go any other direction. Its beyond frustrating.

We really loved playing this game, but after a break came back to find that the controls no longer work. After some digging, we found that the culprit is the Apple Pencil. The game will not operate normally if there is an Apple Pencil connected to the device. The developers know this, and their only solution is to completely disconnect the Apple Pencil from the device, and they will not be spending time to address the issue further. We wish it was making that last response up, but it came directly from a response in another review with the same issue we have. Ending support is the fastest way to kill a product, which we can only assume is the end goal here.

Saves are terrible. Just play the steam version on PC (or steam deck). We are in 30 days in the game, was able to move the saves to Steam version on Steam Deck, and pretty happy there. Looking on how the saves are implemented on Apple Arcade, it is fault of game developers for implementing poor design for saving the game progress with iCloud. You can fix it easily. Sad that you arent hearing for feedback. We would prefer to keep playing it on Apple ecosystem.

We really wanted to love this game but did not get what we were expecting. Im sure the game has great potential from what little we were able to play but this game is incredibly flawed and as others have mentioned does not let you move anywhere in the game after 2 minutes of playing. No matter where we clicked on the screen we would be back to the same right corner on the cliff. We have disconnected our pencil and went as far as to turn off Bluetooth to no avail. After 20 min of trying to get this to work we’ve deleted the app and hope they solve these bugs for everyone else playing.

Since every detail about the story is spoiler, we will just say we wouldnt recommend anyone play this game. Its boring and offensive.
