This game is lovely. When you tap and hold the buildings before you buy them, it gives you a little info about them. The backgrounds look cool when you buy the buildings too. The music sounds cool also.
We have been playing this game since it was released many years ago. It never gets old and we like that we can play over and over to beat our times as it keeps the best scores to show you. We just wish their other versions werent so hard to play. We would like to see more of these.

Cradle of Rome is straightforward, challenging, and doesnt make you feel like youre playing a slot machine, as so many newer matching games do. Please never take this game off the App Store.
We played these Cradle games years ago when we had Big Fish Games on our PC. We bought them all. Im disappointed that theyre not available in a bundle to purchase so we can play them on our iPad. Great hours of fun! But Im not paying $4.99 for each game. We feel that is a ripoff for such old games. When you bundle all 3 (Cradle of Rome/Cradle of Rome 2/Cradle of Egypt) for a great price, Ill purchase them.
Never any ads..no pay as you play.just a simple yet elegant game that we have now completed 27 times as we write this review. After countless hours of enjoyment, we cant wait for the next 27! Thank you developers.
We have been playing this game for years. Its one of the last few games that stays free of charge, and when you reach the end of the game, you can start over. We played this game years ago on our pc. We had forgotten about it. We enjoyed it then and it is still a great game. This is the kind of match 3 we like. You clear the board and collect coins and then buy buildings. You should give it a try we dont think youll be disappointed.

We actually bought this game years ago for our computer.
We are enjoying this match 3 game. Not too hard, but not too easy. We just dont understand why every game we have downloaded on our we Pad is free for about 3 minutes, but to actually get the full game, we end up having to pay. We guess what is initially downloaded is just a sample/ teaser to see if you like it, but most we download are things Ive played elsewhere; so we know we like them. The catch is; Ive played them free on other devices, so may not choose to pay for them if they were marketed as a paid app.

Not fond of paying twice for it, but still fun.
We.have been playing this and Cradl of Rome II for some time all of a sudden no mater how many levels we win all we get are two lives. It is very frustrating not to advance in lives as we do in levels.
Its nice that we have never had to buy anything to have fun with this game. It has the right amount of challenge so you do not feel bored, yet finishing each level is highly achievable! We were SO happy with this free game, that we purchased the next two paid versions of it and expected to have the same challenging yet solvable gameplay-boy, was we wrong! The two paid games are difficult and monotonous at the same time! We have since stopped trying to play those two versions and keep coming back to this one and playing it over and over.
Its fun we like the game but 5bucks for such a short game is messed up! Wont buy any others.
Becomes very tedious by last epoch. Too many screens with no matches.
Good solid game with some new twists.
Well, this game HAD potential! They limit you to players only about 13 levels or so for free. The rest you gotta pay for? Nope! Not gonna happen! Especially since youre not really building anything. Once you purchase a building. The game places it for you. So, sadly uninstalling.
