A Glimpse into CranialCrash: Corridor

Based on the board game Quoridor, Corridor is a strategy game played on a board of 81 square spaces (9×9). Each player is represented by a pawn which begins at the center space of one edge of the board (in a two-player game, the pawns begin opposite each other). The objective is to be the first player to move their pawn to any space on the opposite side of the gameboard from which it begins.

The distinguishing characteristic of Corridor is its twenty walls. Walls are flat two-space-wide pieces which can be placed in the groove that runs between the spaces. Walls block the path of all pawns, which must go around them. The walls are divided equally among the players at the start of the game, and once placed, cannot be moved or removed. On a turn, a player may either move their pawn, or, if possible, place a wall.

Didnt see instructions on how to operate the moves and walls. A little experimenting and we were on our way. Tap the pawn to high light move options. Double tap the board to activate a wall. Drag to position. Tap wall to change horizontal to vertical. Tap play button to confirm wall placement.

The rules of the game are not correctly implemented. The edges of the board should act as fences in terms of jump logic.

We like the game, and the controls are easy and intuitive, but it would be nice if there were a way to play with friends that arent right next to you.

We dont think the rules are correct, the UI is kind of clunky and the computer opponent is very predictable and easy to manipulate.

A lot of ads, gameplay mechanics arent great, but most importantly the AI is kinda mediocre. Its better than other corridor apps on here but once you figure out its weaknesses youll win every time, even on hard. If they could improve the AI id deal with the rest.

Great game, extremely mediocre software execution. No undo moves or game instructions or movement instructions (double tap for wall options). But hey, it is better than nothing.

This game was awesome till it got janky and wouldnt let you place walls that would cause the computer to backtrack a lot. The board game is awesome. Seems like it would be easy to code such a simple game but they definitely messed it up.

Ai is to hard for young and old kids so it’s garb.

Even on the easiest level, this game is waaay too hard to play and enjoy. We’ve won once, and got obliterated the rest of the times playing. We recommend a different Quoridor / Corridor game.

Hate this hate this hate this hate this.

AI will box you in but wont allow you to do the same (as it shouldnt) but youll get stuck in a box unable to move.

Anytime you try to click to make a wall, it cashes and sends you back to home screen. Unplayable in every way.

We love quoridor! Fun app with a good AI.
