Tired of rubbing your sweaty hands all over your beautiful touchscreen? No problem! We’ve got support for most mobile-compatible controllers, so you can rub your sweaty hands on some joysticks instead!

Updated on 27th April 2022

If you died in Hardcore Mode and one of your items was on cooldown, that item would be stuck on cooldown in other saves until you rebooted the game. This should no longer occur.

Crashlands Reviews

It’s a very fun game with a long story. There are plenty of things to do, plenty of quests, and plenty of deaths.

We think the app is one of the best crafting games in the App Store. It gives a lot of adventure and quest which in our opinion make the game better as well. Even though this is one of the hardest parts of the game, fighting bosses is really fun. The only thing we wish was added in the game is multiple languages, because we were trying to teach a friend but he could not really understand because it was only English. Otherwise we think the game is awesome. Thanks Butterscotch Shenanigans.

Wow. This game was amazing! We absolutely loved the storyline and the gameplay. We played it and finished both adventure and insane mode. We definitely recommend this game. We are so hyped for the up coming creator mode.

THIS IS GAME IS THE BEST GAME we HAVE PLAYED SINCE 2014. And it’s worthy of 5 Stars! We have played it and we can’t stop!

This is the perfect game. A mix between terraria and don’t starve. The two genres have perfect synergy . The steam version is just as good as mobile. 10/10 would recommend :P.

Pay once, and that’s it! Tons of content, lots of fun. Best mobile game we’ve played in a while.

The first time played this game we through it will be a waste of money. It turn to be a epic rpg. We should battle the bosses without restarting the game. It would take a long time.

We got it and we can’t stop playing it its so addicting and it deserves 5s and it’s worth the 5 you should definitely get it!!!!

Butterscotch you guys make the best game ever (for us at least) to us this game is truly a Five star game #spaceduckpie.

No joke. This game blew us away. Still many hours into it and it’s as enjoyable as ever. The writing is hilarious. Gameplay is on point. And so many ways to play. Can’t recommend it enough.

This game is like minecraft only with lots more stuff to build. Best story we’ve seen on ios the conversations between characters are hilarious. Its a hard game but totally worth the money that you spend!

This game is extremely close to a console quality game. We’ve tried a couple times to enjoy a crafting style game, but games always lost us pretty quick due to the tediousness of the game. The size of the screen makes it kind of annoying in our opinion to play a game that you have to focus on organizing your items . This is a sandbox style game with RPG elements and a story line to go with it. It’s simple enough to play on your iPhone and the controls are simple and don’t exhaust your hands in the first 10 minutes of playing. The art style is extremely nice as well. We’ve owned an iPhone for 3 years now and played probably over 100 games. This is the first review we have ever wrote for any app we’ve owned. These developers honestly need donated too. The App Store needs more apps like this. If your on the fence like we were we wouldn’t hesitate. Your missing out on hours and hours of fun gameplay.

Awesome game to kill spare time. So much content, yet the grind is well paced with unlimited fast travel and inventory. Not to mention the comedy as a cherry on top. Well worth the 5$ As a side note: we recommend starting the game on the easy difficulty as some battles can draw out for several minutes only to be one hit by the ‘easy’ enemy.

This game is very good BUT PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ADD MULTIPLAYER ON THIS IF YOU DO ITS MY FAVORITE.

The game is very fun to play and very well made. We would strongly recommend this to anyone who enjoys playing games on their mobile device. We never leave reviews on apps though, but decided to for this game because the patchnotes link in the update description (bit. Ly/crashlandspatchnotes) leads to Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up. Legendary, and what we should have expected from Butterscotch Shenanigans by now.

The game is a vast world with many monsters to fight. It’s fun and very creative with a great RPG system. We personally love it and would definitely recommend to anyone who likes survival-crafting type games.

The characters, setting, and sense of humor are unique, original, and thoroughly entertaining. Gameplay minimizes annoyances to focus on fair challenges. Hours of addictive gameplay that doesn’t get old. Thank you devs for this masterpiece, and we can’t wait to play what you make next!

Great game! PLEASE come out with an expansion pack or better yet a part 2!

Butterscotch just rick rolled us…

You may be our favorite game making company like ever. All of your new games all have FIVE STARS!? What!? And we love all them and if we have to tell the truth we think Crashlands is your best game yet! Keep up the good work!

This is no doubt one of the best (if not the best) mobile App Store games we have ever played. They did an amazing job with the the mobile version. This game is great because it is open-world, in a Don’t Starve kinda way, but it is so much more. It shows that mobile games have the power to be really good. The game itself has many things that we like. For example, the crafting. Even though the inventory management is absent in the game, the crafting is still great, with levels of crafting stations. Another thing we like is the combat. It is actually strategic rather than relying on brute force. The monsters have attack patterns that you need to memorize in order to survive the fight. You can also steal their children and make them fight each other. Mwhahahahaha. Also, the boss fights are intense! We really enjoyed fighting them and longed for more boss fights. We’re not finished with the game yet, so we don’t know if there is something for this, but it would be cool if the Labyrinth in Savanna would have another boss each day. There is plenty more to say, but those are our best things to say. Overall, great game. 10/10. We really want to buy the computer version on steam. Steam sale pls.

We love this game but we are not able to play it because whenever we go into the freaking app it crashes when we open the map or just start moving around. Our suggestions are to either make the game take up more space or just fix the crashes! Thanks for reading this!!

We love the game so far!! We do hope that multiplayer through the Game Center and also controller support are coming in the future!!! Keep up the good work!

Our progress was deleted after we updated the game and we couldn’t get it back :(

What game makes there UI unresponsive about 70% of taps? IPhone 6s + BTW.

We have never played the PC version, but we have read the many great reviews and decided to try it on the iPhone.. Big mistake. The game is broken to the point where you will get killed by most enemies in one hit even if you have the third tier armor. The controls are awful, it just doesn’t work with touch. If you like dying over and over again then this is the game for you. We want our money back.

Game halting bug in main quest 2 hours into game. Hit twice in separate games. Waste of money.

Crashlands is like a tame iOS 2D sandbox version of Borderlands. You are constantly killing wild animals and foraging for supplies in order to make new supplies, only to then again fight "stronger" animals for new supplies. Grinding is the entire game. The missions are composed of two types: Retrieve or kill. There really aren’t any enemy types because all of them are just wild animals. Most of the them won’t even attack you if you walk on through. The writing is an attempts at whimsical banter but this gets old quickly. There are no characters to attach to. Normally games like these have a certain curve to overcome. We gave Crashlands over 10 hours and then called it quits. The one highlight is the sound department.

The game doesnt even load anymore just crashes on startup of the game needs to be fixed.

Played this game start to finish at least twice at release. Still pop it open for nostalgias sake (and because everything ever by Butterscotch Shenanigans has proven worthy of a spot on our phone for ever and ever. When we lost everything on our phone 3yrs ago and had to start fresh, whose games do you think we downloaded first?! BScotchs. They got us through a time of uncertainty, having lost all our other apps & app data (yeah, we pay for iCloud storage now, okay?!). And they got us through with smiles, to boot. This time around? No crisis led us to replaying Crashlands again we did it of our own free will. Just really hope we meet our old pals w/ the Quadropus Gang real soon, because Im missing that Racket!

Epic game good job hardcore is truly hardcore. It hurts. But it feels so good. Goodbye.

We bought this back when it released, it was really good. We tried to play again just now, but it repeatedly crashes at the startup screen.

Inherently over the years screens on devices get bigger. In no way should that negate controls. This game is ok but the touch and maneuvering is very frustrating.

This game was great when it was playable. We cant even open it now. It crashes every time.

This is one of the best games we have played on iOS. This is one of the very few games (on any platform) that we have played to the end, even other games that we consider very good. We still typically get bored once we get to powerful. We have replayed this game 4 times now over the last few years. The story is very entertaining and funny without being to wordy. The game play is extremely enjoyable, the crafting and fighting are balanced perfectly. We never felt like the search for material was boring or tedious. The changes in location, which changes the enemies and gear happen at just the right time to keep us engaged. We definitely consider this a AAA game. Very well made. The only other game that we have played only on IOS that we feel is comparable is Steamworld heist.

Your family and loved ones wont see you for days if you get into this game, 10/10.

We got the game awhile back now it wont even open so we can play. Please fix!

This game is a masterpiece! Good gameplay, many many many things to do, great replay value, just amazing overall. The only slight issue is that there are some small bugs. But none of those are game breaking in any way. 1000/10.

We love Crashlands, its been one of our favorite games for a while, but we just found out, the hard way, that if the game crashes while you are talking to an npc your pet has a chance to disappear. Now we have to grind for a mother max Lyff, so that cool, we guess.

We had this on Apple+ but didnt continue our subscription and instead bought this since it was the only game we were playing. Awesome.

Pls do this we wanna play with our friends.

So wow, we were playing this game with touch controls and really liked it, storyline, mechanics, the humor. Then we got a rotor riot controller for our phone! Now Im absolutely in love! This team is off the charts talented, we also have Levelhead and the quality and polish of their games is absolutely amazing! No joke best game publishers we’ve played, move over blizzard , the humor and care is truly birthed from a labor of love, this is more than a game. Well done guys we gladly will spend to buy your games, even better you dont nickel and dime with micro transactions. We applaud you good sirs! Take our 5 stars and 7 bucks! Our money delivered real gooooood!

One of the best mobile games we’ve ever played. Especially controls-wise.

We have got to say that this game is AMAZING! The graphics are polished, the story is just the best, and who could forget the intro to the game along with the music. But, there are a few minor things that needs to be fixed One: when we try to eat we always accidentally switch our item set. We know this is not an issue on pc and is not really a annoyance for ipad users, but we are on our iPhone and it is just really bothering us. Two: Say there is a little pond in front of us and we tap on the other side to go around. When we tap on the other side, flux just goes towards the lake and is not going around. Please fix this for our convenience. We know your new game just came out and your going to put most of your attention on it, but please please please fix the issues we listed.

Probably the best game we’ve ever played on iOS. The one recommendation Id say is to have at least 2 pets out at once instead of only 1. If you could have a small squad of 2 or even 3 pets, thatd be awesome and more enjoyable so you dont leave cool pets stuck at your home.

Multiplayer on iPad? Can someone help XD.
