We like the puzzles because there are no ads, and we like the themes. These puzzles would be great for a younger group because there is so very much repetition. So for us theres little challenge but for our grandchildren, the repetition would make good reinforcement. We would love to see one improvement to the physical set up, and that is to place the button that puts letters in moved from the bottom right because we keep hitting it by mistake and messing up the game. All said and done, we still play these puzzles every day.
What is the developers mad obsession with that How we Met Your Mother show? We have never watched one episode of it; not our thing. Yet there are hundreds of questions all dealing with that show. A bit odd. That aside, we love the majority of these puzzles and it has kept us occupied.
Why are there so many Big Bang Theory references? Also if were going to different countries – why not make the puzzles go along with the theme.
Game boards are a good size, quick puzzles – however we kept waiting for the puzzles to get harder. They never do. Reaching new levels almost feels pointless because of this.
Getting to the remotely challenging puzzles takes way way too long.
We love our crosswords. The formula for it is pretty simple – provide the crosswords. This game is perfectly fine. It provides an international roadmap as a graphic which is a nice touch. If your skill on crosswords is newer, this may be good for you. You can hone that crossword skill and get experienced. But for ourselves having done crosswords for many years, its just too easy. And there is no option to set a skill level. We played until our wisdom score was a 1000, no change. We played until we hit level 100, no change. The puzzles occasionally have a slightly tougher level but just simply not challenging at all. To the Dev or Apple, this is an easy one. Make a more challenging version or put skill level on this app. This isnt racing game needing intense graphics, this just a crossword graphic. Edit: March 3 2022. Id stopped playing several months ago. As mentioned in our original post, we made Level 100 and still no tangible increase in the (lack of)challenge. We came back to read recent reviews hoping not to see the same complaint. We did, disappointing. Being this is a crossword game, a difficult level could be added easily, seeing that this complaint of being too easy repeats and repeats and repeats in the reviews up to today, there is no other conclusion to draw other than the software developer is making this for children. Do Download it for your kids. This simply isnt a game meant for adults. Unfortunately Ive gone outside of Apple Arcade to get a Crossword app. Such a shame as we prefer Apple Arcade no ads/nonsense.
We would give this game 5 stars if only it would offer and landscape version for iPad users. We always use our iPad Pro with the Magic Keyboard, and its frustrating that we cant play this game because of its portrait limitation. So many games offer a landscape option, so why not this crossword game that would specifically benefit from using a keyboard.
The app itself it really nice, but it would be better if you could choose what level of puzzles you want to play. Ive been playing for days, and theyre all still far too easy, which makes it boring which makes us not want to play it.
We have been playing for a while, but now cannot get past a black screen when loading the app. We enjoyed the app when it was working.

We need a way to skip ahead to the more challenging puzzles. We feel like all we get are 5×5 grids with the same clues.
This is a fun little app, but it desperately needs levels that you can choose or unlock. Sometimes we just want to distract our brain for a minute and these are perfect, but we quickly get board or frustrated after a couple puzzles due to how easy and repeated they are.
120 levels in and still getting the same easiest level puzzles. Not enough words. Same clues over and over again. Not challenging enough, or at all.
This game was addictive and entertaining at first, but there are so many small problems that it quickly becomes a source of irritation. First, the game overall is extremely easythis isnt a problem itselfuntil you realize youre past level 120 and its not getting any more challenging. In fact, the only difficulty is either from tricky spellings (no, the abbr. Of the state between Washington and California is not OREG) or words not widely used anymore (the 46 instances of SOT, meaning a drunk person). It feels cheap. And yet, a lot of the words are not ones that kids are going to know or are useful for them to learn (see: words for drunk, titles for pop songs, widely-known trivia, etc), so this likely wouldnt be fun or even educational. And yes, many clues are used repeatedlyI had a string of 3 puzzles in a row that used the same clue. It gets really stale in a game where most puzzles are small 5x5ish ones. The final straw for us was the unskippable animation parade between each level. Another reviewer said that theyre longer than the actual puzzle. That is NOT an exaggeration. Whats worse is that the animations are multi-part and you have to tap the screen to move from one animation to the next until you get to the next puzzleit just makes it seem like its unresponsive to screen input. Look, its just not a good game. Take a pass on this one.
The game was very easy and fun to learn a couple new words or facts but after completing over 100 rounds its very obvious the political background of the game creator. We just feel when it comes to crossword puzzles there should be facts only, not opinions or opinionated answers. Also some made up phrases ie the slang was not fun.
We enjoy the playing the game and we have enjoyed it until level 40 in india. These creators had the audacity to put one of the puzzles words as iwas. With the question of ___ was made for loving you by tori kelly and ed sheeran; two words. As a person who loves music dearly we would have NEVER guessed the song title with this artist choice. Ive never once heard this song before nor have we ever seen anything in ads or on a radio station!! We know our fellow music lovers can say that the first song that came to mind was we were made for loving you by KISS. One of the most popular rock bands of the times. This upsets us dearly and we cannot stand for this.
Ive played about 30 puzzles hoping to get to a more difficult level but these are just too easy.
Clues and answers are repeated too often. At level 276 every puzzle is still easy breezy. Fun for about a day, after that you know all the answers.
Its extremely easy. Theres better word games for adults out there.
We have been playing this game religiously for about a week. Suddenly though, the game no longer loads. We get a black screen and we are unable to play the game.
We really liked this game available through arcade with no annoying ads. We used to be able to start over or go back and replay completed puzzles, but that option is no longer available. So, we finished all the levels a month ago and the app just says adding more soon. Since we cant replay anything, looking for a new crossword app, which arcade needs to add.
It starts off a good game. And then it goes south. -Please stop asking us to allow alerts. This is an alert, that we dont want. If the game is good Ill play it. If the game is bad Ill stop playing it. But every 2-3 the gams asks to sent alerts. To say what? -Please remove pop culture references; we know this is a big ask, but we dont want to know who Kim Kardashians brother is. -Its been said in other posts, the game is too easy too long. It really take the air out of the game. Its not fun after a bit. It ten years maybe it gets to somewhat kinda difficult.
Was working fine the first day we downloaded it on 2/28/22 but the next day we couldnt get past the black screen that comes up after the Loading screen. Please fix.

The puzzles are absurdly easy. After about 40 puzzles there wasnt a single clue that was challenging at all. Id say 95% were the first thing that came to mind. Pretty sure we spent more time tapping the various buttons to get to the next puzzle then we did on the puzzles. If you want actual crossword puzzles, go somewhere else. This is a waste of time.
We got excited when we noticed this in Apple Arcade. Our excitement was short-lived. The puzzles are generally simple and dull. We hoped they might improve after leveling up or the daily challenges would actually be challenges. If you like New York Times style crossword puzzles, this isnt for you. Might be helpful for people who want to practice with simple crossword puzzles.
This is the stupidest, most boring crossword app imaginable. We downloaded as we pay for Apple Arcade through the bundle. But, were are REAL crosswords???? We could have solved this at the age of 3. SNOOZEFEST.
Everything is a repeat. Games gets very boring because it keeps repeating itself.
We got through puzzle 64 and quit. This game is painfully boring. Im sure that the real purpose of the game is the collection and sale of user data because it cant be entertainment.
Love how these puzzles are bite-sized and dont take very long to complete. Can be addictive.
But also quite easy. Its getting tougher so thats good.
The puzzles are easier than most people like however it stimulates your brain and does make you think. However at times the puzzles can be challenging but there are the hints that help move you along so you dont get frustrated.
Wife and we play this game daily and enjoy doing so. Since yesterday after it opens to the loading screen and then to black.
However, Id give it 5 stars but for the fact that within 11 levels we have had the same clue come up twice. 11 levels doesnt seem too long a playing time for the algorithm to have to use NAY in two puzzles.
This game is, as others have said, easy for a long time. Im on level 394. There are harder levels mixed in, but most are fairly easy to finish in seconds. We love this game because it our go-to sitting game. Sitting at the DMV? In the dr. Office? On a park bench? At the airport? On the toilet? This game is great for passing the time anywhere. We do wish the levels were harder, and we hope they add it in at some point, but this game is aesthetically pleasing and fun to play.
We like the game, but the same words come up to often, like Arena and Atlas. English is a big language, try some other words.
We rate this 4 stars for the adventure through the globe but we need challenge. We ran through 200 puzzles hoping to see an increase in difficulty but its all still ranked from kinda easy to easy breezy. Sadly Ive discontinued playing.
We really like this game, but the daily puzzle hasnt worked since 2022 began. Can we get this working again? Older Review we have enjoyed this app for a while. We were a little concerned about how easy it was at first, but was pleasantly surprised when it started to become more challenging. We find it makes for a good distraction when needed.
The game is fun, just challenging enough that a pro puzzle takes about 10 minutes, so its good for quick bites when you dont have a lot of time. The daily puzzle hasnt worked since January 1, 2022.
Nice little crossword. But we wish: 1) we could set a skill level range. We dont mind easy but theyre ALL easy. 2) there were rewards, leaderboards, or tournaments – something to work towards. As it is, things get monotonous.
The title of our review says it all. It was extremely easy, and every level there was a repeated clue from a previous level. We do not recommend it.

Ive completed 140+ puzzles and they are still rated Kinda Easy with a Wisdom Score of 1,600+. Giving up.
Been playing for about a week on and off, this game could get an updated review for 5 stars if they make the words longer and hints harder. Its fun yeah, but practically no challenge :(.
At level 105 and we still dont even have to think about answers. And Im not a crossword person. Just too easy to hold interest. Let us choose our level of difficulty.

Love the app! We used it for about 30+ mins the first day. Everyday after it goes to the load page and then a black screen appears and nothing else happens.
Theres like five words in all it feels like. We did 50 puzzles and the same hint for solo was the same, had two ellen degeners ones. Atlas a ton. Gets boring way too fast.
Still waiting for the difficulty level to ramp up-not challenging at all.
