Cruise Tycoon is a traditional business strategy simulation game managing a cruise line company world-wide.
- Gameplay
Once you start a game, you will begin to operate your new company with a small cruise ship. After you create a new cruise route and set up the sailing schedule, your ship starts to be operated. As your company is grown, you can buy new ships, employ a new captain. Also you must listen to the needs of employees.
To open new routes, you should build up a new hub on other port. To earn more profit, you can discover a new shore excursion on your port of calls.
As the ship operated, you must proceed the service training of employees, and the periodic ship maintenance. You can adjust the level of food on board to increase the customer satisfaction, and also you can do advertising and promotion to get more guests.

Definitely get the HD version (this one) instead of the normal one. Even though it costs more money than the normal version, its definitely worth it. Its very very fun. But we would like to see a sequel.
Although it could use an update still its a really good game.
The game is great however, when we began our game we were disappointed by the lack of logos. Plus, none of the logos make sense. We wish their was a feature to import your own logo from the internet. Also, It NEEDS more ships! For crying out loud we Have been on 2 of the ships they offer. Finally, we simply desire more options in customizing the ships. For example, customizing the Hallways, and ships theme.
This game is great. For those who want control over a cruise line, look no further. The game is a ton of fun trying to manage a successful cruise line, but there are a few problems we have, like the fact there are only so many ships. Why not some kind of Ship Class-based system? Also, updated menus and graphics would be appreciated. However, all these problems we listed here could be fixed with a sequel. There are EIGHT, count em, 8 different AirTycoons, 2 HotelTycoons, and only ONE CruiseTycoon?! This game would flourish with a sequel released right here, right now! It would be great! And with more customization options, the game could easily become the new great ship app(And yes, we know ShipTycoon exists, but those are CARGO ships.).
Just wish you could see the ships location on the map. Also would love to be able to choose the colors for the ship.
So glad to see the developer upgrading these fun sim games.
Best game EVER!!!!!! We are soo addicted to cruise ships! We’ve been on a cruise ship once. But, anyway, this app helps by not going crazy mad when we think about a cruise or cruise ship! Hooray!!!!!!!!!!
Please make it so we could design our own ship & then design rooms furnish them and then u get to pick how many floors. And then have the company telling u how much it cost. Also add the carnival carnival pride ship style.
We love this app! It is very realistic. However, there are a few things we think need to be added. First of all, more control. You should be able to completely design exterior and interior of you ships, as well as rename them. Also, more customization with the company logo. One day, we hope for a multiplayer edition, where you compete against real players cruise lines, instead of fake ones. And on the map add ship logos so you can see where they are currently at or ported at. That would be cool! But either way, these is a great app, one of our favorites! Thanks!
Wow is all we can say. This is a game worth more than its price. It is awesome. Just buy it if you are into cruises, ships, or economics. We’re surprised that this isn’t the next Minecraft. It is awesome. JUST BUY THIS GAME FOR HEAVEN’S SAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a great game, we love it but you need to make the ships buy port or buy range or some thing because if you want to make a multi day cruise you need a massive ship. Great game and please respond so we know you read this.
We are sssoooo sucked into this app. Th game is so fun!! If there could be an update we would like to see more South American Ports, they feel left out, add the option to "discover" multiple shore excursions.

Great game, simple once you figure it out but needs a few updates.
It is a great game… Our only complaint is that you should be able to buy and hold more ships at the same time than already! Other than that keep the updates coming.

The game in a whole is well made. Slightly overpriced for the features you get, but in awhile we say its worth it if your willing to play it a lot. -the design, it’s simple sleek clean and easy to maneuver, 5/5 -game feature, you basically are running cruise ships around the world trying to create a major tycoon. -game mechanics, this is why we gave it 3 stars. Firstly you can chart a course from New York to Los Angeles going literally right through the United States, the game should be planned better not to have the itinerary go right through land.. It’s a pet-peeve of ours. -another thing you need to keep satisfaction and mechanics up on each ship, no problem except when you have 20+ major ships running and all your doing is updating satisfaction and maintenance. There needs to be a button or person you can gore to do it all at once would make the game better in a whole.
We love cruises, and this game feed into that. However, there are a few nagging items. Routes go over land, big miss for us, took away some of the realism. Lack of control on designing your own ship, would help in the replay factor. Unable to rename ships, we want to move the name of our favorite ship to the new mega ship, and rename the old ship, unable to do so. More options to control, entertainment types, maybe a disaster simulation to handle, something. Needs more to give it replay value, so close to 5 stars here. Still recommend, hope they keep working on it or wow us with cruise tycoon 2.
The game is very fun, good graphics but basic — but the options are very limited. The game needs more port options, ship types, additions to ships, room options, etc. A little disappointing for the money spent to download the game.
Love this app, it needs ships that can sail north during the winter season. Also needs to improve cruise lengths… Sailing from ny to ca… Panama Canal?
Look its a good game alright, but you need to update this to iOS 11.

We love this game. Our cruise company is very big and lots of time and effort was put into it. The salary option for the cruise captains is glitched! They make 0 dollars and it won’t let us go up! We cannot play anymore because the captains will quit. We do not want to go start a new account but its going to come to that! We would give 5 stars.
This game is awesome. We would like to see iCloud integration so that we can play on our iPhone and our Ipad. Dont even know why that isnt even a standard feature yet. Seems kinda obvious at this point. Also its been updated in 2013. Kinda in the middle of 2014, no new updates. At least update the game or come out with version 3.
When is this gonna be updated to work on iOS 11.
Not really clear what does what. Ex how do you beat a competitor. It seems as you expand they just do so as well. Not clear if the options in the ship do anything as it lets you buy the ship without using all your options. Also it’s quite tedious. Having to redo advertising and maintenance and satisfaction one ship at a time. It needs a repeat and indefinitely Button. Nice game concept though.
The game is a fun game. The pictures shown are not quite the same. It would be nice if there were goals to meet. There is a MAJOR glitch as you cannot adjust the salary of the ships and the staff will go on strike and there is no way to fix or adjust the salaries. So you lose the game or have so start a new one. Very discouraging when you have invested so much time. Because of this glitch we would not recommend investing money in this game.
This game was our favourite thing, but lately it’s been crashing each time we open the app. Please fix this.
Does not run past user profile screen. Hard to believe got so many good "real" reviews. Makes us doubt App store review reliability altogether.

Because of iOS and lack of updates from developer you cannot even play this game anymore.
We absolutely love this game. We can play it for hours. Sure, there could be an improvement or two made ( like just about ALL apps), but this is definitely worth the $. Our favorite game on the app store!

The game was alright but it excluded some ports like korasou,cancun,valivostock. There are alought more ports than listed in the game. Hopefully the updated version of cruse tycoon will inclde the missing ports. Another problem it does not let you design cruse ships and stuff inside.
A very good and addicting game. Although it is hard to figure out the controls at first. And it is a somewhat of a slow game (in time), not the loading, installing process etc. But overall great game!
This game is very well addicting while they do need galveston,TX we were really looking forward to take cruises out of there worth the cha ching.
Pretty good game, although we were hoping it would be a little more in depth after playing Air Tycoon 2 for a long time. Would be better if you could click a port allowing you to see just the cruises involving that port and also if you could see your competitors moves.
We enjoyed air tycoon 2 much more, but this can be as good as that one on the next version. Needs to lift the 50 ship max, and also allow you to use multiple routes per ship, where auto will work properly when a winter route is unavailable and an alternate is already running.
This game is awesome but it needs to show the other companies ships and routes. Right now we have 140,000$
The overall experience is ok but needs more ports like Galveston, St. Thomas, St. Martin, Livorno, Dublin, Reykjavik, Costa Maya, And Grand Turk. Also need to be able to see competitors routes and ships, and the ability to overnight in ports, also it would be fun to design your own ship!
There isn’t much to this game. It gets pretty repetitive and boring quick. Some have compared it with Airplane Tycoon, but that game is better than this one (if only slightly). For example, you can buy out your competition. There isn’t much to do here, but set cruise routes, buy ships and set them to sail. Some things are plain frustrating, like having to recommit to advertising every 64 weeks. Why couldn’t you just set this indefinitely until you decide to stop? With airplane tycoon you had to buy the app again to get the upgraded version 2. We suspect that’s why they are holding back on some common sense features. Worth $0.99 but not more.
Our wife and we both downloaded to our iPads, both are missing information. We got to step where create route, it wanted us to click on a city and there were none! Wife got to next step and you couldn’t click the buttons they wanted you to. There were buttons on here’s we were missing, and vice versa. A waste of 4 bucks DON’T DO IT!!!
Unusual that the developer would not show the ships moving from location to location – a pretty obvious lack of development time on their part.
