Cueist brings the atmosphere and realism of your favourite cue sports to your mobile device.

8 Ball, 9 Ball, UK 8 Ball and Snooker games are included, along with custom pool tables to play them on.

Previously unseen in this type of game – jump shots, curve shots, screw shots and other spin shots are simple to attempt using only swipes, taps and device tilt.

Simple to attempt but tricky to perfect. Just like the real thing.

As well as human vs human matches, you can play against a variety of CPU controlled opponents of increasing skill levels. Or start a CPU vs CPU game so you can relax and concentrate on your camera work.

Cueist Reviews

At first we couldn’t figure out how to switch it out of it playing it self. It’s pretty sick. We can’t wait to play it in VR.

There is only one truly good pool game for iOS and that is Pool Break. We originally got this game on our Apple TV. We think the developer of this game REALLY wants you to use a controller because on tvOS with the SIRI remote the game is unplayable. Youre supposed to be able to aim by tilting the remote. This does work to make the aiming lines appear but to move it around is impossible. This iOS version is even worse because touch should be easier than this. It is to easy to initiate an errant shot and aiming, forget it. We also think the Spartan help and the size of the fonts are hinderances. It is almost impossible to read the guidance on screen on our iPhone 11. The graphics are good. Gameplay not so much. Get Pool Break its fully baked. Cueist aint.

The only thing going for this app are the graphics. The gameplay and the vague instructions make it a disappointment. No need to reinvent the wheel. With such good graphics makes one wonder what went wrong with the dismal game physics. Compared to Virtual Pool 4 this a real flop.

Nearly unplayable. Very very bad.

Do not buy for appletv!!!!! The controls for the Apple TV remote dont work. Theres no way to aim. Tilting the controller doesnt do anything!

The graphics are amazing, either the reviews are old or people have not figured out the game setting controls. There is a casual setting that makes it much easier to aim although it isn’t quite as easy as point and click, still challenging and fun.

This is a beautiful looking simulator and has lots of potential. That said the gameplay is very difficult to control. On the iPhone and iPad zooming in and out should be done with pinching not with dragging your finger up and down. It is very counterintuitive. On top of that the camera keeps drifting around even when we adjust the angle, very very difficult to control. There are all kinds of things that need to be adjusted in terms of the controls to make this even playable. It is by no means intuitive. Gameplay on Apple TV is similarly difficult. Once these controls are improved and made more intuitive, this could be one of the best pool simulators out there. It has a lot of potential, we will keep watching out for updates. Good start!

Really hard to aim, control was horrible, graphic is awesome, we will give u five star only if u fix the control!

Have not played this on our phone or iPad, but on our appletv, the game loses input from the touch pad, so you can’t place a cue ball or apply english, and exiting the game and reentering doesn’t fix it, it will come back when it wants to. Needs fixed! Update: now the game won’t even recognize the touch surface of the Siri remote, one star until you repair this! Yes, our remote is fully charged! Yes, we’ve forced the game to close and restarted the appleTV too, nothing fixes it anymore.

You can not play with graphic constantly moving.

This app has the worst controls we’ve ever experienced in a pool app. At this point it’s not even worth the $3 charge for the app. To make a suggestion, look at the controls for the Miniclip 8 Ball app. Very smooth for that app. Comparatively the controls sway a bit after your intended aim. We spend more time aiming the cue than in any other point of the game in this app. Another suggestion, we don’t need to see where the target ball is going to go, only where the cue ball is going to travel, and maybe in what direction the target ball will go. In this state tho, the app needs an upset and overhaul of the controls. Not touching this app again until we see an update available.
