The tears of a young witch have been turned into a key by a demon to open a gateway to hell.
In Cursed Castilla, one takes the role of Don Ramiro, a knight appointed by King Alphonse VI, to fight and banish the evil invading the lands of Tolomera.
Don Ramiro will face mouras, Ojáncanos, Nuberus and Malismos: creatures from the European folklore, as well as from chivalric romances such as Amadís de Gaula. For that, one will use a different range of weapons to defeat the enemies, in a pure classic arcade action style.

Community Insight:
We love GaG, we were looking for a clone and we found this. The concept is GaG but it also different and fun.
We really love the retro feel of this game, please add scanlines option to make it feel like the arcade.
Ghouls n Ghosts is one of our favorite games of all time…..you know what? This is a lot better.
At least give us the option to have a joystick instead of this wonky directional pad.
We were overjoyed when we found this in the App Store. We built a small arcade cabinet just for the original Maldita Castilla. This has made our day.
Please fix the controls on this game. It has a lot of potential.
Unless youre a five year old with baby hands, this game is impossible to play. The control button is horrible. Why did you make it so small.
You need baby hands to play this game controls are too small and not adjustable even when full-size screen is activated. Without update its not playable at all.
Loving this. Fun, retro, well-designed, except for this set of controls, which have us considering deleting from our phone. The enjoyment we see in it has not translated well to our experience, which is stuttering fingers and loss of hearts faster than we can get them. Five stars when/if fixed.
However, the controls should be more precise for this type of a game. Also, for better or worse, there should be an option to go full screen.
