Initially had issues due to a bad download. Once we started playing, we have been thoroughly enrapturedexcellent game! If you like side-scrolling shooterssimilar to Defender and R-Typethen this is the game for you! Works great on our ATV4 and with our PS4 controller. And best of all, no subscription, no ads and no in-app purchases!

This is the The House of the Devil for shmups. Im not even into shmups (or horror) but both of these attempts at not only just throwing it back to the 80s but literally perfecting the experience is so rare and truly unique that we felt like thats the only real logical comparison for us that comes to mind. Both of them have this dichotomy where they perfectly evoke and nail the era yet are super subtle about it due to the insane passion, attention to detail and humility that they are crafted with.

Im really enjoyed, its amazing game ,I hope to make a second part for this game or something similar.

We own this game in three games platforms its just that great. The soundtrack is amazing and the fine details that were put into this game put it over the top. We wish we could review it higher than 5 stars.

Love the port, everything looks and sounds great. However, the controls are tough. It would be good if we could change the sensitivity, or even use the gyro controls. As it is, the ship moves extremely fast, and its almost impossible to make small maneuvers. Its especially bad in the second stage, where the vertical scrolling appears to be buggy, causing you to move even faster and crash into a floating landmass when you shouldnt. EDIT 1: In response to the developer, we played with the touch control settings, but still couldnt find anything that allowed us to navigate difficult sections reliably. There are three problems with the current two control schemes: 1. When using the mode with speed ups, it feels very awkward, and having to use precious shield/ammo containers for a speed up makes an already difficult game much harder, especially since this option doesnt work any better than the default. 2. The drag option is arbitrary. By that, we mean you are simply applying some arbitrary multiplier to the number of pixels you drag across to get each sensitivity level. The problem with this is that none of the sensitivity levels are a simple 1:1 with the screen. The ship ALWAYS moves just a little bit extra or a little less than you move your finger, and least on an XS. Because of this you have to constantly reposition your finger, and it often results in an unfair death. 3. It gets very confused when you use a second finger. Charge shot is an obvious offender, but it is also a problem with the drag option – sometimes your finger runs to the edge of the device. To try to keep moving smoothly, you pass off to your opposite finger on the other side of the screen. Maybe you can fix this by having the game detect if your current control point is in a dead zone, and if a second drag point is found elsewhere on the screen, it takes priority. 4. Many control options could be alleviated by adding controller/keyboard support. Maybe a quick update?

Quality shooter. Use a controller tho.

We’ve finally found a game that takes us back to our childhood! Well done.

We love this game its so much fun and it has lots of great features too haha was our time to finish it lol haha was the best game we’ve ever played.

We dont buy a lot of games for our phone, but this is something special. Growing up it was our dream to beat Abadox on the NES. We never actually achieved that goal, but now we have a new one. Thank you for this gift. Your passion truly shines through. :)

Please bring part 2 of this game the best game ever super fun love from the start too the end love !!!!!!!!!!

We really liked the game and its so fun but we finished it so fast so please for the next update if you can do side missions or challenges or even if you can add more levels to play it will be perfect game Thank you Ps. We know the original game doesnt have more levels.

Please please come out with more of this! This game is amazing!! The design, the sound effects/music is superb! Thank you so much for this amazing game!!

You couldnt ask for a better side scroller for the iPad.

Beautiful Game! It would be really cool if you could play any level with the unlocked weapons after completing whole game ( for fun ) Thank You.

Thank You Very Much A return to the future with Childhood memories.

This game is a perfect throwback to old school shoot em ups, with new twists, great levels, and great detailed retro artwork. This reminds us a lot of Dandara in terms of it being a high quality take on retro games. Theres an Easy mode and normal mode (which is really really challenging). We havent finished yet but we know Im gonna want more levels by the end. Hopefully they make some more additions. Overall, highly recommend.

Everyone tries to hype their own games, why wouldnt they? This is the most honest and accurate descriptions we’ve seen. The game is a true throwback to the NES days and done well. We do want the ability to retry levels, however, but as this would effect gameplay we can see the purists saying no… Fine… Its a draw. The only issue we have is that Im right handed and the enemies generally come from the right. So we can either try it out on expert mode (using our left hand), or not always being able to see the enemies. We could get the controller that it supports, but Im not going to. And we cant imagine how he could fix it seeing as its a biological error in our part being right handed. This definitely left handed creator made a real gem here, buy it, share it, play it.

Without a doubt this is one of the best games ever made for iOS. Instantly brings us back to our childhood. But its not just a copycat of our favorite Konami games. It is made with love and care, both on a technical and artistic level. The game is fun and challenging but never frustrating. Kudos to the team that developed this beautiful game. Looking forward to the sequel.

This has been one of our favorite SHMUPS ever since it was released on PC years ago. This is an excellent port!

Great game definitely Gradius feel, look, and soundtrack. We’ve been waiting for a game that touches on this. There is another like this game, but you guys really it it spot on. Feels like Super Nintendo all over again!!! Great job!

Reminds us of our favorite space shoot em ups from different computer platforms over the years. Love that for a small price there are no advertisements and no in game purchases. Game play is excellent, smooth response even when screen is filled with action. Normal and easy modes are both appreciated, its great to have the difficulty scalable for different levels of skill among our family members.

Why arent you on apple tv? This game is great on console and tv. Please try to make an attempt for this game to be on the apple tv, its verrry worth it. Thanks.

So we guess Ill write a lil something. We’ve played about half an hour to forty five minutes total at this point. Its pretty tough on Normal mode. We can get to the third level without using a continue so far. There seem to be minimum 11 levels to complete a run. So we havent gotten very far yet. We’ve seen 4 or 5 bosses (some stages have two), and theyre all really fun and variable without being too tough if you dont know their patterns. They arent super tank-y bosses, and battles dont drag out like Dark Souls games, forcing you to relive the exact same attack sequence 200 times until you slip up once and have to redo the entire level. The game is still too unforgiving for us to give it 5 stars just yet. Maybe Ill edit our review after we sink a few more hours into it. A health increase item or power up is something that we would personally prefer, but we know something so important as health has been mulled over endlessly by the devs and will never change at this point. All that said, we think the game is definitely worth the price. If the trailer interests you, pull the trigger. Each stage is easily digestible, and is perfect for mobile gaming, casual or obsessive. You can play a stage in under 5 minutes, or put in a nice full session. EDIT: Im now on the last level, and it is A REALLY HARD GAME. We used 40 continues on normal mode, and we still have to beat the final stage. Its still really fun about 4 or so hours in, and although we wont replay it, we can see that it does have plenty of replay value. The only thing we dont like (besides how unforgiving the game is) is that our fingers can get in the way of where enemies spawn, and having to use a finger for such a tricky game is awkward in multiple occasions. But thats the curse of mobile gaming, we guess. 4 star review stands.

Graphics done fill the screen on newer devices.

Great looking game, but Im unable to get any sound during game play… Whats wrong?

Theres no place to place our figure that would not obscure something important on the screen. That, combined with the unforgivable 8-bit difficulty makes for an unpleasant experience. There is a reason why game companies got away with super hard games in the late 80s: there were few alternatives and they wanted the content to last. Nowadays, its not that the gamer is a wimp, theres just myriad games to play and other virtual stuff to do. So, at a certain point the game is just not worth it. We want our money back.

They got our interest we thought it was good its has wrk graphic.

Great old school game that brings back fond memories. A lot of fun and not impossible like similar games. Love it!
