■ Story

The story takes place at a privileged government-sponsored academy known as Hope’s Peak, where highschoolers of the highest caliber in various fields receive an elite education.

The exceedingly ordinary protagonist, Makoto Naegi, is accepted into this academy which holds the "hope" of the nation’s future..

He was chosen by lottery from all the other ordinary students to attend the academy as the "Ultimate Lucky Student"…

On the day of the entrance ceremony, Makoto loses consciousness in front of the entrance hall and comes to in what appears to be the interior of the academy, which has been completely closed off from the outside world. He suddenly loses consciousness and comes to in what appears to be the interior of the academy.
The dreary mood is far from the impression given by the name "Hope’s Peak Academy." The dingy corridors, iron-barred windows, and prison-like atmosphere… Something is wrong.

In the entrance hall, a stuffed bear that claims to be the headmaster tells the students they will live in the confines of the school until the day they die, and they must kill someone if they want to leave.

Including Makoto, there are 15 Ultimate Students from all over the world trapped in this academy of despair.
One thing after another crushes their hope. Incidents which shake their trust, the sadistic headmaster, and the mystery of the mastermind. Who is behind it all, and what do they want?

The battle with an unseen enemy begins…

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Hav Reviews

We just got this game a month ago and it was pretty good until the 6th trial. It was just back and forth dialogue like normal until we pressed the student handbook and it froze. Keep in mind we were screen recording almost the entire trial and Id just gotten to the end where the mastermind is revealed. After Id realized that it froze, we exited the game and reloaded it. At first it was a black screen, but then it showed this message: An unexpected error has occurred. Please restart the game. We were a bit confused but we figured it was just glitching out and kept on refreshing it. Turns out that didnt help one bit. We then proceeded to offload the app but that didnt work. Restarted our iPad but that didnt work. We resulted to just deleting the data and seeing if it was still glitching. It didnt show that screen when we played it after deleting our data, but our progress was gone. Im not very sad about it, as we already knew what was going to happen, and we had about 10 minutes left until the end of the game, but it was still pretty annoying. note we deleted all of the footage that we had recorded of the game, because when we played the mobile version of Danganronpa 2, this same thing happened, but with the first class trial when we failed. It didnt show any text about an unexpected error, just a pitch black screen. But all we had to do was get rid of the footage we had recorded of it, and it was back to normal. That didnt work with this game. But other than that, This is an amazing game and franchise and we hope to see more ports later on. Just please be more careful with bugs and stuff!

We love the game, thus so far our fav character is kiyotaka, we love how Gordy and the artwork in the game!

Extremely faithful port of the console classic, but one critical flaw we noticed: The text always freezes mid-sentence whenever the characters talk about percentages. For example, instead of saying Im at least 30% right, the text box would say Im at least 30 and freeze, as if the app cant handle displaying the percentage sign. A simple fix would be to replace every instance of % with percent, but hopefully theres another way around it.

This would be perfect… If Spike made Ultra Despair Girls for mobile (and switch) too! It’s such a good game and horribly slept on!

We dont get the fuss. Im pretty ambivalent toward the whole anime thing, neither a fan nor an irrational disliker, but this was pretty much a condensation of everything we find meh about the medium. It is very stylish. The music, the sound effects, the graphics, all top notch. The gameplay is finicky and buggy, at least on mobile. We got game over a lot due to the game registering taps that werent there, or failing to register taps that were there. Sometimes the camera wouldnt work and Id have to restart the app. And theres a text bug that removes everything in a speech bubble after the number 100 is written. Very disappointing for the price. The basic premise is marginally interesting, if overused. None of the major reveals came as a big surprise, the whole twist is telegraphed heavily many hours before the actual shoe drops, and the whole shebang is beaten into your head without any subtlety whatsoever. Im not big on twists, though, and we can definitely enjoy a predictable story if its well-told. Unfortunately The tone is jarring. After the first shock wore off (and it is shocking), the horror/suspense aspect quickly got boring, and the humor grated on our nerves. The gameplay loop is sort of interesting, but the hand-holding makes you feel like youre just going through the motions while the game plays itself. The characters though man, what a disappointment. You know how when you read a book or watch a movie and the characters are likable or dislikable but still fleshed out and believable? Well, not here. These are just the traits, no personality or character at all. We think this is what frustrates us most about a lot of anime. You get one trope, and the rest of the character is slapped on around it. Theres no depth, no human emotion, just a lone, unrealistic personality trait beating you over the head like a plank of wood. There was only one character we felt any particular interest in, not because she was particularly well written, but because her trope was fairly unique to anime as a whole. So theres that. Unfortunately the characters youre left with at the end are easily the least likable, most one-dimensional of the whole bunch. By the time the last trial rolled around, we couldnt have cared less what happened to them. We thought maybe by chatting with them during free time we could affect their development, but nope. Theyre still the same flat tropes-as-characters as they would be if we left them entirely alone. We didnt hate the game; there were some aspects we really liked. The presentation is excellent, the character designs are eye catching even if youre not fond of the whole anime style, and the basic premise is fun. Unfortunately theres just too much focus on style, too many bugs, and too little character development to win us over.

The idea of this game is cool but its so problematic ewwwww ur so problematic stoppppp being problematic rn get a life n go outsideeeee.

We finally got passed the trial and then we went to play today after we saved and boot lock popped up. We cant read Japanese so we have no clue what it said. Please fix it if you can. We re downloaded it a couple weeks ago and we finally got to chapter 2 and Im locked out again please tell us why it does that.

We love the game overall but we’ve run into a problem. There is this boot lock screen and it wont come off. It says to put in a password with numbers and idk the pass so we cant get into the game please help. We dont want this moneh to go to waste.

The game is great but it really drains a phones battery.

Leon came out of the screen and slapped us with a piece of bread :(

We love thh but when is v3 gonna be released.

Ever since we bought it off the App Store, we’ve instantly loved the game. We totally recommend it.

We played this game from start to finish. It was an amazing game, definitely worth the money! Also, you can unlock the characters sprites, and designs, we totally recommend it if youre wondering if you should buy it or not!

The game itself is amazing and totally deserving of 5 stars, but there are a couple of bugs that Im hoping will be resolved soon. If they are, then Ill gladly change the rating, but for now, Ill just list the bugs and hope theyre seen. 1. Missing Text After a number, the text disappears. For example, when Byakuya in his free time event was saying the 99 percent, all the text following the number 99 was gone. 2. Freezing The game has froze during the 3rd trial, once we restarted our tablet it went back to normal but it still was a pain. 3. Typos In the character gallery to be specific, there are many typos. Sometimes when you press the words to hear the character say them, the words are not actually what the character said. 4. Crashing At the title screen when you try to start a new game, it will crash. We fixed this by restarting our device, but we hear that others are facing the same issue, so its not specific to us.

Best Game we ever played its great for how it is.

Please add controller support!!

We have been a fan of Danganronpa for a while, so when we heard they were bringing the three main games to mobile, we couldnt wait to see what the gameplay would be like. And of course, it was fantastic. The controls were easy to understand, there werent any bugs. Some people complain that the backgrounds werent that great, but it is on mobile, so obviously the backgrounds wont be as high quality as the backgrounds in the PC or console version. Surprisingly, the game wasnt laggy at all. It has the same lovable characters, intense trials, and heartbreaks. Its amazing plot didnt change one bit. Trigger Happy Havoc on mobile exceeded all of our expectations. Whether you already played Danganronpa, or are looking for a new game, this is a must- have!

Took some time to get used to the controls, but we had been waiting to play this game for a year! Im almost finished before starting DR2 but we cant wait! Im also hoping they make an Ultra Despair Girls and V3 for mobile, because we cant wait to start playing, to see more of this outstanding universe!

We love this game, and we were so excited when they released it for mobile. We’ve probably played it fully about 5 times now, and we keep playing it over and over again. We highly recommend! >w<

We were playing the game perfectly fine until our game glitched out. We closed the app and reopen it only to discover something named Boot Lock and it was asking for a password. We were never received a password for this nor did we see anyone else have this problem. We deleted the app and redownload it and now we wait for the status of the game. Overall besides that one incident, the game is great and addicting for me.

This is really good just incase your too poor to buy a computer , but there are a few minor bugs the one that annoys us the most the where you cant move the camera but only can move but overall its amazing 10/10 would recommend.

Im giving this app 5 stars because we absolutely love it so far. We have an iPhone 8 with pretty low storage and we’ve never had any glitching or crashing problems!!!! But heres our problem and im sure this is probably on us but we’ve spent hours just trying to win the first bullet time battle. No matter what we cant win it. We’ve tried looking up tutorials and everything but we just dont understand what im doing wrong. Someone who is good with the btb please make a review replying because we just want to win the first btb.

Its pretty good, actually really good if you ask us. It runs well, especially after the update. It would be amazing if you could put out Goodbye Despair and Killing Harmony on here as well!

This is the best game we have ever purchased, Im in line with the games and the anime! Although we have one question, does this one mobile game have all 3 of the danganronpa games? Just wondering!

We absolutely love this game, its so well done and AHHHHHHHHH! We love it to bits. We hope you guys put out the other Danganronpa games out, especially Ultra Despair Girls. Anyway, THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS MOBILE!

We wanted to say that this game is pretty fun for the mobile devices. The gameplay is simple yet effective, the storyline is pretty good, and the extra content is amazing to have. We do have one problem with the dialogue when the cast talks about the numbers or percentages, the sentence be cut off and incomplete within the dialogue. So you might to update the dialogue bubbles that displays numbers or percentages if that okay?

We love this game, and its really entertaining and fun to play if your into mystery. We wont spoil it, but its a very good game, we have watched others play it, and for it to be on a mobile device, is awesome. It was worth the cost. 100% recommendations.

Whenever a percent sign is supposed to appear the dialogue box cuts off. Ex: This is 100% happening! Becomes This 100 This really messes up some free time events. Besides that, this is an amazing port.

Really cool that it has the ability to be played offline:) we dont have a computer or ps4 so Im really glad this is on mobile looking forward to v2.

So we were really worried to buy the mobile version on our phone because we thought it would be harder to play and such but its actually really easy!! We were planning to buy the game on our computer but we couldnt really figure out how to, but Im glad we decided to get it on our phone! We dont think any of the gameplay is really missing on the mobile version. 10/10 and Im planning to get Goodbye despair soon!

Awesome game. Long, compelling with tons of plot twists. One of the best games and series ever and we highly recommend it to everyone.

This is an amazing game! We see lots of the original fans complaining about the mobile port, but we think the mobile port is great for people who cant get it on anything else (like myself). It had an amazing story and great characters.

We LOVE this game. Its such a good game. Our favorite characters are Chihiro, Kyoko, and Genoide Jill.

First of all, let us just start by saying we really love the Danganronpa series and this mobile port defied our expectations! However, we have noticed one minor bug. Whenever the % symbol is used in a text box, it acts as an end marker and cuts off all the text afterward. Thankfully the % symbol is not used often, but this is especially noticeable in Togamis third freetime event. We hope Spike Chunsoft fixes this in a future update.

All we have to say is Danganronpa.

This port is absolutely wonderful, we had a blast playing it, and still playing it with all the extra content. Well worth the money and a great way for anyone interested in Danganronpa to get into the series. The only nitpick we have is that theres two common bugs: not being able to turn your camera when running around and sometimes not being able to teleport. The latter is not a problem as you can just press a different button and itll return but the camera issue you have to exit out of the app and return, making it a real pain. Anyway, now that we mentioned the few bugs we’ve ran into, we can say with confidence this is what mobile ports should strive to be. Controls built for mobile and no content taken out from the PS4 and PC counterparts, something that is very rare in mobile ports. Just get this game, we promise you youll get a bang for your buck.

Theres a glitch in the second chapter where the poster wont show up. Its not that big of a deal but still a glitch.

When we were playing the game, we noticed that their were a lot of things that were different from danganronpa the animation, not only that we noticed some of the voices actors are different from the animation as well plus we were able to get through the first class trial because of the animation.. Plus we had fun playing it.

Hello friends from foreign countriesI am a Chinese. We like to play danganronpa too. We use the translator to communicate with you. Please forgive us if there are any wrong wordsWe met in this game across the ocean. We hope you can see this comment. If you want to chat with us, add our WeChat micro signal is bozhizhidou. Thank you.

Danganronpa for mobile best idea ever you can now play danganronpa on the go we have 1 and 2 on ps4 but we bought them both on mobile they where amazing if you have money for these games buy them its worth the money 100%

We were playing, and we got to the first victims death. We have done everything, investigate, get truth bullets, talk to everyone yet it won’t allow us to go to class trial. This is really amazing yet rigged. We want to complete the gosh dang darn game.

We had trouble with the first BTB but now that we’ve figured it out, we can say for sure that this game is worth the price.

We absolutely had so much fun playing this game! Just finished it! But we also had a little problem with the camera when you move around and you just have to exit the game and go back in. But it doesnt really bother us now since we just finished but a real pain to do the lil trick. But overall this game was a blast and really fun to play, hopefully maybe there will be new games soon!

This game scares us compared to the second one with Hinata. Like this one we rate its scary level 6/10, DR2 would be 3/10. And we love Naegi so much hes the cutest, hes short and adorable… Hes our favorite in DR1, and nanami is our favorite in DR2!

PLEASE ADD V3 KILLING HARMONY TO MOBILE!!! We LOVE THESE GAMES! We LOVE DANGANRONPA SO MUCH.

Warning, this game contains acts of violence such as murder, suicide, Etc. Do not let children who are sensitive to these things play, but this violence is what makes this game itself. Its a little expensive on the phone, but its completely worth it. The coding is correct, and from what we’ve seen it doesnt have any bugs. But we do recommend saving every time, because it doesnt automatically save for you once you leave the game, and then you have to do everything all over again from the last point you saved. But this game is great, and it would be a better experience if it automatically saves once you leave the game from the last point you left off. 10/10. Worth your time.

Such a great enjoyable game that works great on iOS. After beating the first one we only have one question: when is the second one coming to iOS?!
