■ Story
The story takes place at a privileged government-sponsored academy known as Hope's Peak, where highschoolers of the highest caliber in various fields receive an elite education.
The exceedingly ordinary protagonist, Makoto Naegi, is accepted into this academy which holds the "hope" of the nation's future..
He was chosen by lottery from all the other ordinary students to attend the academy as the "Ultimate Lucky Student"…
On the day of the entrance ceremony, Makoto loses consciousness in front of the entrance hall and comes to in what appears to be the interior of the academy, which has been completely closed off from the outside world. He suddenly loses consciousness and comes to in what appears to be the interior of the academy.
The dreary mood is far from the impression given by the name "Hope's Peak Academy." The dingy corridors, iron-barred windows, and prison-like atmosphere… Something is wrong.
In the entrance hall, a stuffed bear that claims to be the headmaster tells the students they will live in the confines of the school until the day they die, and they must kill someone if they want to leave.
Including Makoto, there are 15 Ultimate Students from all over the world trapped in this academy of despair.
One thing after another crushes their hope. Incidents which shake their trust, the sadistic headmaster, and the mystery of the mastermind. Who is behind it all, and what do they want?
The battle with an unseen enemy begins…

Pretty good, never seen a mobile port like this before done so well. The team or people who ported the game did a fantastic job.
This game is great we love every aspect of it, we just with Apple had it in English va as well as Japanese, like a way to switch the language in the settings.
Honestly we love murder mystery games and visual novels so we just LOVE this game. All the little details are so fun and the idea of this series is so creative! The characters have recognizable personalities and designs, its just all so perfect. Our favorite is Celeste so far! We hope whoever reads this gets the game, its worth it! :D.

This game is very sigma except there is nothing left to investigate in sayaka's death but it still will not let us go to the trial and we are crashing out.
It is a really fun game that we love to play but in chapter 3 it is saying theres an unexpected error idk what it is and its not letting us play.
When we played this, us and our sister decided to try it! It took us a LONG a time to finish the game but it was so much fun!!! We definitely recommend getting the game.
Danganronpa is a really great game. We love the mystery and suspense in it and the storyline is just mwah. Ive been playing the game for a while now and we were so close to finishing it! (we think bc we were on SPOILER Sakuras trial) However, we recently started a new game so our friend could play it too since she didnt have it herself. So she played a little of the prologue we shut our phone off, and we went back on. We clicked on load game, just to find that only her game was saved. There were no other slots full, just that one game that our friend was playing. Im really bummed, and have been trying countless ways to somehow recover the game. We thought that it shouldnt be too difficult since digital footprint and all that. We still havent recovered it and is it just a simple thing or things we have to click, is it gone for good, or do we have to go to an alternate app?? As we wrote earlier, we were far into the game, so we are really REALLY bummed that we might have to accept defeat and start over the game. But one thing Im wondering is how do we save games to different slots? Theres clearly lots of slots but as demonstrated by what happened, when we start a new game it just replaces our old one. Anyways, Danganronpa is overall a really great and amazing game. The plot has a way of making you wanna know more, kind of like when you keep flipping the pages in a book because its just so interesting. We hope we can buy the other games and enjoy them to the full extent and NOT have another problem like ours right now! We really hope we can recover it and anyone else who has this problem (we know there are MANY) can too.

This game is amazing and its definitely 5 stars, but the problem is that when we were playing, everything randomly stopped working. It told us to restart the game and when we did it still told us that there was an unexpected error and that we had to restart. We dont want to have to delete the game and restart our progress.
Great mystery story with interesting and beautifully drawn characters. Great that they allow this to run natively on M1 macs too without needing rosetta.
We love the game, thus so far our fav character is kiyotaka, we love how Gordy and the artwork in the game.
We just got this game a month ago and it was pretty good until the 6th trial. It was just back and forth dialogue like normal until we pressed the student handbook and it froze. Keep in mind we were screen recording almost the entire trial and Id just gotten to the end where the mastermind is revealed. After Id realized that it froze, we exited the game and reloaded it. At first it was a black screen, but then it showed this message: An unexpected error has occurred. Please restart the game. We were a bit confused but we figured it was just glitching out and kept on refreshing it. Turns out that didnt help one bit. We then proceeded to offload the app but that didnt work. Restarted our iPad but that didnt work. We resulted to just deleting the data and seeing if it was still glitching. It didnt show that screen when we played it after deleting our data, but our progress was gone. Im not very sad about it, as we already knew what was going to happen, and we had about 10 minutes left until the end of the game, but it was still pretty annoying. note we deleted all of the footage that we had recorded of the game, because when we played the mobile version of Danganronpa 2, this same thing happened, but with the first class trial when we failed. It didnt show any text about an unexpected error, just a pitch black screen. But all we had to do was get rid of the footage we had recorded of it, and it was back to normal. That didnt work with this game. But other than that, This is an amazing game and franchise and we hope to see more ports later on. Just please be more careful with bugs and stuff.
The mobile version doesnt seem very sophisticated compared to the playthroughs. We have no qualms about the map glitch or images not loading, but our main problem is the chapter six BTB (spoilers ahead) we checked guides for help- absorb and shoot the last statement, but after recording and checking, its impossible. Im on our first playthrough, and upset we cant finish.
We like the game so much! But when we were on Celestes trial we were looking for a tutorial, so when we came back because we remembered what was in the tutorial our game crashed and it was a bunch of Chinese/Japanese it had the options like DR1 or DR2 so we picked DR1 and the screeen was just white! Please fix this we dont want to start over and delete the app.
This game is amazing. Its story is wonderful! But, the only reason that we rated it 4 stars is that the music stoped working when we upgraded our software. We tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it still doesnt work.
We love the anime and manga, so we decided to get the games. Only thing that really disappoints us is it is not usable on the Backbone controller.
This would be perfect… If Spike made Ultra Despair Girls for mobile (and switch) too! It's such a good game and horribly slept on.
Extremely faithful port of the console classic, but one critical flaw we noticed: The text always freezes mid-sentence whenever the characters talk about percentages. For example, instead of saying Im at least 30% right, the text box would say Im at least 30 and freeze, as if the app cant handle displaying the percentage sign. A simple fix would be to replace every instance of % with percent, but hopefully theres another way around it.
Could be better we mean.. Theres glitches in chapter 6! FIX IT.
It wont download and we have storage for it we spent money on this and it doesnt even work we wanted to play it so bad im about to cry.
We have been a fan of Danganronpa for a while and honestly we love the shoes and Im trying to play the games we spent money on this and we tried to use a truth bullet it shut off and the screen turned white we cant fix it, it keeps asking us to reset it but it hasnt worked And Ill know we have to restart everything.
After adoring the game series for 7 years Ive been playing it with our mom and am falling in love with it all over again alongside her! The app is great! Aside from a few glitches (sometimes things would load into rooms but would just be floating in mid-air which tbh was absolutely hilarious) it was perfect! We actually really like these controls a lot more than PC! So thrilled this is out, am about to download SDR2 as soon as we finish, and am oh so looking forward to the iOS release of DRV3 in the future! Edit: Used to love it, but it wont let us redownload to replay :/ we have more than enough space for it, but we have tried several times and it will not let us redownload. Would not recommend this.
So the thing is we were really hooked on this amazing game after playing chap 1 but when we got to chap 2 that is when all the glitches started. First, the frame rate lowered, second there was no sound, and third the game crashed and when we went back into the game it said an anexpected error has accrued and now we can play.
We dont get the fuss. Im pretty ambivalent toward the whole anime thing, neither a fan nor an irrational disliker, but this was pretty much a condensation of everything we find meh about the medium. It is very stylish. The music, the sound effects, the graphics, all top notch. The gameplay is finicky and buggy, at least on mobile. We got game over a lot due to the game registering taps that werent there, or failing to register taps that were there. Sometimes the camera wouldnt work and Id have to restart the app. And theres a text bug that removes everything in a speech bubble after the number 100 is written. Very disappointing for the price. The basic premise is marginally interesting, if overused. None of the major reveals came as a big surprise, the whole twist is telegraphed heavily many hours before the actual shoe drops, and the whole shebang is beaten into your head without any subtlety whatsoever. Im not big on twists, though, and we can definitely enjoy a predictable story if its well-told. Unfortunately The tone is jarring. After the first shock wore off (and it is shocking), the horror/suspense aspect quickly got boring, and the humor grated on our nerves. The gameplay loop is sort of interesting, but the hand-holding makes you feel like youre just going through the motions while the game plays itself. The characters though man, what a disappointment. You know how when you read a book or watch a movie and the characters are likable or dislikable but still fleshed out and believable? Well, not here. These are just the traits, no personality or character at all. We think this is what frustrates us most about a lot of anime. You get one trope, and the rest of the character is slapped on around it. Theres no depth, no human emotion, just a lone, unrealistic personality trait beating you over the head like a plank of wood. There was only one character we felt any particular interest in, not because she was particularly well written, but because her trope was fairly unique to anime as a whole. So theres that. Unfortunately the characters youre left with at the end are easily the least likable, most one-dimensional of the whole bunch. By the time the last trial rolled around, we couldnt have cared less what happened to them. We thought maybe by chatting with them during free time we could affect their development, but nope. Theyre still the same flat tropes-as-characters as they would be if we left them entirely alone. We didnt hate the game; there were some aspects we really liked. The presentation is excellent, the character designs are eye catching even if youre not fond of the whole anime style, and the basic premise is fun. Unfortunately theres just too much focus on style, too many bugs, and too little character development to win us over.

This is literally our favorite video game of all time. The entire series is absolutely phenomenal and so intriguing. We have had absolutely no issues with any of the three games, absolutely wonderful.
Its almost as if Danganronpa was designed for mobiles, the visuals and artwork are crisp and the gameplay transitions perfectly. Theres never any slowdown or lag, and it feels just as good as playing it on PC or console. This is a game you must get.
Awesome game.long, compelling with tons of plot twists. One of the best games and series ever and we highly recommend it to everyone.

We genuinely can not put this game down its so gooddd! The art alone is beautiful but the story line is just as amazing! We havnt found any down sides yet! Definitely worth the money.

We love this game, and its really entertaining and fun to play if your into mystery. We wont spoil it, but its a very good game, we have watched others play it, and for it to be on a mobile device, is awesome. It was worth the cost. 100% recommendations.

We think its pretty good other than a few bugs. Make sure your phone isnt on silent mode, otherwise you cant hear the game.
When we were playing the game, we noticed that their were a lot of things that were different from danganronpa the animation, not only that we noticed some of the voices actors are different from the animation as well plus we were able to get through the first class trial because of the animation.. Plus we had fun playing it.
Let us just say that Ive been wanting to get into Danganronpa for a while now. The other day we noticed it was on the App Store and had to get it! It was well worth the money! We highly recommend this game.
We got into this game last year so we decided to buy it a couple months ago! And we finally finished it! The quality was just..AMAZING! And it was a fun experience! 5 Stars! We may also consider buying the second game once we get more money! Toats recommend.
Ok so Im at chapter 3 and Im loving this. No bugs or issues its nit crashing or anything (probably because our phone is newer and can handle it if your getting this get it on a se at the least) we definitely recommend it we know its 16 bucks but its like a 42 hour game so that would make sense, not many mobile games are that long.
We played this game for mondo we love mondo so much we love him oh and the rest of the game was good.
