Find out what gamers are saying about Danmaku Unlimited 2 – Bullet Hell Shmup:

This game is worth every penny. It’s fun, frantic, intense, and has plenty of levels as well as upgrade paths and so much more. We could go on and on. Thank you devs for updating the game.

We’ve always wanted to play the game with all upgraded items but coin cap is 1400? Please change this!

We cant use our controlller. Fix it or tell us how to do it, please.

This game stinks not worth .$50 wast of money.

Visuals: 10/10. Music: 10/10. Gameplay: 10/10. Recommended.

The level up and upgrade system makes this game very replayable. Awesome, highly recommend.

Shut up about Cave. Those games are ugly as hell, have dated mechanics, and are overpriced. We do not find joy in those games. They are not the bar for bullet hell games. That title belongs to Ikaruga. Moving onto DU2! Wow wow wow! HUUUUGE improvement over the first game! Sunny Tam went back to the drawing board, and incorporated heavily influences from the Touhou Project series! Very similar visuals, including the gorgeously colored bullets. The ultra ultra glassy smooth frame rate feels like everything just glides through the playing field. The overall look is way more dynamic and versatile than the first game. Absolutely the best looking and best playing bullet hell shooter on the iOS! Well worth the price of admission!

This game is so challenging. The graphics are awesome. Love this game already. Thank you and Happy New Year!

Danmaku Unlimited 2 is one of the best shoot-em-up games to be found on the App Store. The game mechanics are simple but reward skillful gameplay, the enemy attack patterns are intense and challenge the player in numerous ways, and it is very pleasant to listen to and look at. Our complaints, though, would be that at 5 stages, it’s shorter than many other shmups and leaves us feeling dissatisfied, and although the visuals are crisp and the music is energetic, the lack of aesthetic variety make the stages and bosses seem like they’re blending into each other. It almost but not quite feels like a complete product. That having been said, DU2 is still an excellent deal at its price point and is a great buy for anyone looking for an engaging shmup experience.

If you’re a mega shooter fan, then this game is for you!

Beautiful graphics, Seamless controls, Ingenious game mechanic And one of them most awesome and unique soundtracks of any game in the Genre. We have a copy of every shooter made for the iOS quite possibly. Some are outstanding like DoDonPachiR, And while we love them It may have been a waste of money, because all we play is Danmaku unlimited two. The action really feels like a knockout drag out space battle Thanks largely in part to burst And trance mode. Bosses are ferocious And tough as hell. With the various difficulty modes and fighter configurations the replay value is almost endless. Sunny Tam thank you for taking the risk and Producing such a masterpiece.

With Cave’s prolonged silence on ios being worrisome, we’re hoping that sunny tam will continue making awesome shmups for the platform. Great crisp graphics, a djent-heavy soundtrack (was surprised about that!), and solid mechanics, this is an easy recommendation!

Everything about this game is perfect and it totally got us into the shmup/bullet hell genre. The music is fantastic and the grazing multiplier is absolutely brilliant. We highly recommend this game to anyone with an ios device.

Man… This game so far is one of the best shooting games we’ve played! It’s not like your average shooter. The fast paced gaming, and the easy controls are brilliant. Adding to this, we loved the graphics. The only thing we fine interesting… This may go either way, is that this game is Touhou like. Anyone who has played Touhou, is probably going to like this game (My opinion) thanks.

Smooth touch controls allow precise dodging against colorful bullets that goes well with a nice soundtrack.

This game is great. If you love bullet hell shmups, this is a must buy. Fantastic music, beautiful visuals, and bullets. DEAR GOD, THE BULLETS. Now, that being said this game has issues running on the first generation iPads. Everything gets extremely blurry and pixelated. While playing the game, it’s not that big of a problem, but is a huge problem navigating the menus. The words are just to blurry to even make out what the say and can be an issue when trying to read small print. Now if all the pixelation was to reduce game slowdown on the 1st gen, then that’s fine but we would have preferred that the menus would have stayed completely unblurred. Or even have the option to choose the clear version with frame rate issues or blurred gameplay with perfect frame rate. All that being said, this is one hell of a game, and you shouldn’t miss out on it.

From what we can tell, from screenshots and gaming sites, this is going to be epic. Please hurry with and update for iPhone 6+’s. Ironically, The first title works fine on it!!?? :/

A grew at title… Don’t let the subtext detour you from thinking it’s not. This game is beautiful and fun BUT like previously it retains is bland appearance which makes the stages seem redundant with new enemies but you don’t even notice the differences much as they’re all pretty simple. The color in the bullets is what catches the eye intentional or not we don’t think it was the greatest choice to make. The music is fun but can get old without music options hearing the same stage songs can also make the game feel like a long trek. Most games choose different types of music for these games because it’s easy to relax to remember and or forget. When using actual music it’s sometimes a good and bad thing. (Listening to a new song released on a radio everywhere) you get burnt out easier an faster. Overall this game is great and still worth it’s price.

We love this game best in the App Store but it won’t work on our iPad if you can fix this we will give you five stars.

Maybe it’s just because we’re playing it on a gen-1 iPad, but the game seems to be running at 320 x 240 pixel screen resolution. The instructions, HUD, and even the copyright text are virtually unintelligible and appear to only be three pixles in height. We’re all for retro pixel art, believe us, but we must be missing something somewhere or we’ve purchased a corrupt game somehow. If your intent was to do a low-res pixel art style, then get rid of the apparent anti-aliasing. Pixel art depends on sharpness and contrast to maintain legibility at low resolutions rendered in high resolution space. As is, this game is broken on iPad 1. It runs fine, and the mechanics are fine, it’s just that the visuals are simply pixelated noise…

Paid for this app and it won’t run at all. Every time we try to start any mode it crashes.

1st shmup on iPhone that can challenge the Cave catalog. Visuals have lots of personality, flow of the game is a breeze. A pleasure for eyes and fingers. Lacks just a bit in the customizations, only one ship selectable, but it’s the only downside of an instabuy game for real gamers!

This is an outstanding game! We’re not a devoted bullet hell gamer, and we’re having a lot of fun. We wish it felt a bit more spacious on the iPad, but that’s a very minor criticism.

This is the best non-Cave Bullet Hell shooter on the app store, as of this writing, and we own them all. If you don’t buy this game right now, we will cry crystal unicorn tears and soil our jammies.

If you gravitate towards quality iOS titles with zero IAP and are even remotely interested in what is arguably the slickest genre available in gaming, the shooter, or Shmup, then Sunny Tam’s bullet hell masterpiece is an absolute must have. Graphically the game rivals any other shooter available on the store, running at 60 frames per second, with crisp bullet patterns and an overall beautiful visual presentation. The intensity of this joyride is enhanced fittingly through the music of Blankfield, making the experience equal parts visual and auditory delight. On top of this, the scoring mechanics are engaging and challenging, while the various difficulty settings will appeal to all skill levels. Play casually and just try to beat the game, or knuckle down for high scores and compete with true bullet hell champions on the Leaderboards. Purchase this title now. It is a stellar representation of not only bullet hell, but of a fun game in a timeless genre.

Just wish the control scheme had more options. Found the swiping motion to activate the specials awkward on the ipad. Going the Cave route with buttons on the side of the screen would be a nice option!

This game and touhou 12 are very similar.

Very colorful, very chaotic, very stressful. On sale for $2…. Get it, you won’t regret it. We couldn’t recommend a game more, even if you aren’t familiar with the genre. This game is very addicting.

Good Lord, this soundtrack is amazing!

It is one of those games that is as addicting as bejeweled blitz. You never wanna stop playing! We had heard about this game on CGR (Classic Game Room) and we immediately looked into it. We had heard of Bullet Hell Shooters before but never really got to play them. First time playing it was, in one word AMAZING! The sound track keeps you ramped up through-out the stages and the boss theme always seems to get us. It is so worth the price. We’re never gonna sell our phone or give it away just because of this game it is a Classic!!!

The music really pulls you in along with the fluorescent colors. The gameplay is also customizable and fun.

This is the best iSHMUP, Cave or Non-Cave.

We don’t give many 5 stars; however, this game deserves it! If you are a fan of Under Defeat or Zero Gunner 2 for the Sega Dreamcast, then you’ll love this amazing game! The soundtrack alone is worth the $4.99! Also, there’s no annoying in-app purchasing (IAP), so even more of a reason to download this entertaining app!

Professionally sharp graphics. A very encouraging score system. Thunderous guitar strumming. What more could you possibly want?

We love bullet hell games, but we’ve not seen many on the app store that we like. We bought this half-heartedly, expecting to be dissapointed again. However, when we tried it, this was fantastic! We would reccomend this to anyone who is interested in the genre.

There is display problem in Ipad air ( Only 1/4 graphic show on the screen) . We hope new version of this game could solve this problem.

We wish the maker collaborated with ZUN to make Touhou for iOS.

Love the new score mode to give vet shum’up players more of a challenge. Graphics-5 Control-4.5-when action gets heavy it can get stuck sometimes. Sound-5 A great addition to the IOS Danmaku franchise.

Sunny Tam is officially the king of iOS shooters now. The visuals are gorgeous, the music is great, and the gameplay is outstanding, challenging, exciting, and varied (2 game modes and customizable upgrades). His previous shooters were great but this takes it too a new level, fantastic bullet patterns and a universal app to boot. We really can’t recommend this highly enough.

Everything is improved over the original and the quality is still there. This easily rivals Cave’s shmups in terms of visual and gameplay now. Our only complaint is… Why are never any of your games retina display? Is it so the phones can run this level of graphics?

Excellent title in the shump/bullet hell genre. On par with the CAVE titles on here, if maybe just a bit too easy for veteran players. However we can’t say we’re not impressed overall. Gorgeous simplistic graphics, solid patterns, and a good, balanced modal difficulty for most players. Excellent job! 5/5.

Very solid game at a good price!

This game is fantastic, thank you for creating it. We were thrilled to see iCade support and shocked that we actually prefer the touch controls. We also think the light leveling system is perfect. All around great package. Kudos.

Why cannot we start from last level finished, how can we keep from starting stage 1 always ?
