Dive into Dark Quest 2

Dark Quest 2 is a turn based RPG inspired by legendary board game Hero Quest. The game features a party based system where you control a group of heroes, an isometric hand-drawn art style, dice based mechanics and much more.

Each map is designed to take you through an adventure that will test your party’s strength, courage and sanity as you go deeper and deeper into the castle in search for the chambers of the evil sorcerer.

Features

  • Single-Player Campaign: Play a story driven campaign that takes you through a series of adventure on your epic quest to defeat the evil sorcerer.

  • Turn Based Mechanics: Every turn each of your heroes in your party can take one single action. Play wise and carefully or fall captive in the eternal prison of the sorcerer.

  • Skull of Fate: In the darkest dungeons of the castle, when left with no hope your last and only way out will be to roll the skull of fate and reveal your twisted fate.

  • Assemble a Party: Control a group of heroes each with their own personality and strengths. Use the unique strengths of each character and work together to defeat the minions of the evil sorcerer.

  • Enter a world of fantasy and adventure: Explore twisted mazes, find hidden doors and fight bloodthirsty orcs!

  • Village: Stay with the old masters and learn new powers, craft new weapons and mix potions that improve the capabilities of your heroes.

Fun to try out different party configurations. Well worth $3. We played it a bit every day for 3-4 days and it was pretty easy to beat it on normal mode. We ran a dwarf with chain mail , the knight and the dark monk. Was a very capable group. The dark monk is very powerful. Might replay on harder difficulty with maybe the knight as tank and then wizard and archer as dps.

One of the best games on IOS. Great choice of characters and strategic play.

This is a great game. The control scheme can be frustrating. Its constantly switching back to the first character in the line up. Sometimes it feels more like Im fighting the character selection process than the bad guys.

Old school rpg fans, this one is for you. The controls can be a little frustrating at first, but other than that, this is an amazing recreation of the Hero Quest board game with lots of additional skills/spells for characters. No stupid in-app purchases! Wysiwyg, and we love this. We regret that this game is short though overall as we now want to dungeon crawl further, but it is nice to have automatic difficulty increase when you revisit a dungeon level. To the creator: great job! If you were to create another one with more new characters, etc, youve got our money and support.

If You like tactical turn based rpg, This is it.

The developers created something wonderful here. We love how they captured the mechanics of the old Hero Quest board game, but added more characters, equipment, and skills. Being able to continually increase your character abilities deepens the combat and strategy. We’ve played through twice and maxed our characters, but still Ill probably go back and play again. We hope they make more like this!

Simple and enjoyable Id pay for new levels or an endless dungeon mode of some sort.

Click the small character icons on the right of the screen to select them – the large boxes dont do anything.

We started playing the game a couple of hours ago and so far the game works well and it is a lot of fun. The only complaint we have is that the game is a bit hard to play but thats just us, we may not be that good at games. Other than that the game is worth the $$$ money.

Potions should not be saved after retreat. Too easy to cheat. Maybe get rid of potions all together. An XP system maybe? Otherwise good game.

Sometimes in battle the upper menu doesnt respond and so the abilities.

Its simple but pretty and fun.

Would 5 star this if the control scheme wasnt so hard to use. We cant count the amount of times it misclicks and costs us a restart.

Just a super basic turn based game that throws more enemies at you than you can handle so you’re constantly spending your money on resurrecting downed heros, replaying levels over and over. Got bored fast.

Does anyone know how to set difficulty level? Update, beat the game. What the heck! Short game. We thought the first map was just that! It was the whole game!

Got to the next to the last level, only to keep getting stuck due to game being non responsive. Tried 10 times to finish the level, halfway through we would lose the ability to move characters/attack, etc. It is obvious they did not do a great deal of testing pre-release. Had we been able to complete the game, we would have given it 3 stars. Due to the price tag of $3.99 for an incomplete game, however Id give it -1 stars if that were an option. Thumbs down!! Do not waste your money.

This sad excuse for a game is spitting on such a fantastic series. The original game was so much fun and so unique and this is a pile of trash coasting off a name. The developers should feel ashamed for creating such a pile of garbage. Tl:dr PLAY THE ORIGINAL AVOID THIS CRAP GAME!

Pretty fun game up until roughly the 8th level when the difficulty ramps up crazy! A party of 3 swarmed by 15 or so goblins? Insane!
