It’s very rare that we enjoy a game so much we play straight through! This was one of those games! We loved the stroryline, we loved that you could jump between the two main characters. Map, hint, skip, HO’s, mini games,graphics all on point! Just when we were beginning to lose hope in Big Fish! Hope to see more games like this in the near future because now we’re bored again..

We like the storyline, graphics where great. Games where challenging.
Although Domini Games doesn’t give us the perfect game, they do give us the most wonderful experience. We love games about romance, even if twisted, because they always end up with redemption. Domini gives you the ability to customize your entire experience, from a wide variety of settings, to map indicators telling you when collectibles are still in existence, and to pick your mode of play (easy vs. Hard) during the puzzles/games. There was no cohesive journal but objectives were regularly updated. The graphics, although not quite the clearest, were colorful and beautiful. The game was lengthy and had a bonus adventure. The teleport map enabled nearly instantaneous transport between locations, and it indicated collectibles if you enabled that feature. Collectibles included notes, scrolls, statuettes and roses, and the roses could be used to decorate a boudoir. Inventory items were labeled and interactive and there were complex items to assemble. The HO scenes had variation and also you were given a match-3 alternative. There were many puzzles/games and you could choose your difficulty of play. The storyline was interesting and easy to follow and you get to alternate characters and perspectives. There was plenty to keep you busy at each location, and the game ran smoothly. So we enjoyed this game so much that we won’t nitpick and we will still give it a full 5 stars! BigFish, why do we not see more from Domini Games? They always give us a great experience! This is w wonderful game to play. We love that you can play the puzzles on easy mode. We also love the smooth gameplay… And the fact that it isnt annoyingly difficult to play. Games should be fun: like this one is: not crazy hard to play.
It ilooks like we played this game before not sure we like the match 3 option good storyline nice graphics.
This series has a unique feature- you play as two people by tapping on the locket when it lights up. You are both the boyfriend trying to save his love from Bluebeard clutches and the lovely lady trying to escape the villain. Lots to find – animals scrolls roses etc but your inventory bar alerts you to what type of collectable is available. Good map, custom difficulty and match 3 in hop. Overall a great game and lovely way to pass the time. Verdict: buy and enjoy!
We have played all of the Dark romance games and the Curse of Bluebeard may be the very best one. The amount of game play you get is staggering, and as always the shifting viewpoints are so much fun. Please keep this series going!!

Lots of unusual puzzles, not too many or too few HOG’s, great story and super easy to navigate. We absolutely love that you get to play both characters in the same game. We usually delete games once we finish them but we will be keeping this one so we can go back and try to finish some of the puzzles on "hard" mode. Great job Big Fish!!!

We haven’t really played a new hidden objects game in a long time. This one was very challenging for the advanced level. We really enjoyed everything except the story line. Anyway, after completing the main game, we’re glad we purchased it.
Got to a certain point and am constantly being kicked out over and over again. BF the last 3 games we’ve bought are not playable, what’s the problem?

Outstanding adventure with such a Great storyline. Loved the characters and the voice overs, as well as the mixed bag of hidden object scenes & puzzles. Some very unique maneuvers in this game. Teleporting map, beautiful graphics and lots of special effects. Have enjoyed this game thoroughly- sad to see it in and looking very forward to a sequel of this series. We are not going to spoil it by given to much detail, however we highly recommend that you purchase this game, as it is well worth it!! Big thank you to the developers and the work that went into in creating this gem. KdBoots P.S. Forgot to mention the collectibles & morphing objects as well. We enjoyed the plot which we usually do not. The puzzles were mostly challenging and unique. The hops were pretty easy which is fine imo. We loved the split character play, as well as the list of characters to interact with. Well done on this one!!!
This was great! Being able to play the two main characters was fun. Then its not just one point of view but two heros working this out. Hope you make more like this!
We play a lot of these BF games on our down time and we must say that this was one of the better, if not best, ones out there. Wish it lasted a little longer. Highly recommend.

Hello,I gave this 5 stars because all in all it was a pretty good game, the mini games and puzzles weren’t to hard, you did have an option to make it easy or hard within the puzzle itself. There are morphing objects to be aware and keep an out for them. You as others have stated go back and forth between two lovers, in hopes to break the curse of Bluebeards wrath, as he madly tries to find the end to his curse, thinking he found a pure soul that will break this spell!, travel back and forth between two lovers and help the women you love escape the fate that Bluebeard has planned for her, get help along the way from others Bluebeard has tormented and destroyed their lives as well as the ones they Love. This game is filled with potions and puzzles and seems to be a descent length game depending on the time you play and how fast you get through the tasks, there is a bonus chapter as well as (roses) hidden throughout the games and puzzles or laying around, there are spells you accumulate as well but there are little circles you click on above your inventory bar, one is for the roses and it takes you to a room in a mansion like house, and you can buy furniture for it, you cant place it where YOU want it but still, it’ll show up, if you collect ALL roses you will be able to get ALL the furniture, kind of a different feature we’ve never seen in any game we’ve played, there was a scene where a man is hanging of the cliff and when you’d speak to him it sounded gargled and demonic,LoL, we didn’t seem to have any glitches, so yay for that. Hope you guys enjoy this game as many others have, don’t want to say to much about the character and story lines, we don’t want to spoil the adventure and plot, hope you have fun!!.
We usually don’t review games but lately the games we’ve played have been so-so. This one was so much fun! The variety of games, complexity of the games were challenging. Story line was easy to follow even when you’re going from one character to another.
We liked the story line and it was fun to play. The only thing we were disappointed in was that it said his Aunt cursed him. It it never actually says what the curse was. The only thing that we know from the game is that his children become monsters which evidently was not the intent Of the curse. So what was the curse??? Otherwise very fun game.

Maybe we’ve just played to many of these games that it takes something pretty special to give it a five. We think maybe the story boarded us. Its the same old evil guy who kills his wives and hes now kidnapped your beloved so you have rescue her. Blah, blah, blah. Graphics were nice and a good mix of puzzles. Id recommend it if you havent already played this particular story line 100 times before.
Its bad enough that most of these game now are horror, but they are getting more and more gruesome. Please dial it back a bit. The scenes near the end have enough horror elements in them, you don’t need to have blood all over the place as well. Remember, not everyone likes horror!
This is a pretty good game. Some of the mini puzzles wouldn’t engage, so we had to skip them.
We liked the game but like the reviewer TWO years ago, half way through the game we had to come up with our own way to get the inventory to show and use it! Come on… After paying full price for the game, the least you could do is fix this glitch. We buy games from this company often and have not encountered this kind of annoying glitch before. It really took away from the enjoyment of playing the game! Get the lead out and fix it!!!
We really enjoy these games and have bought a number of them. We really wish you consider adding more than 1 discounted game at a time for iPad. There are several games available for phone, PC, and MAC.
The premise is not exactly a contemporary conceptualization; but we are entertained by this story of a villainous man, Bluebeard, who is terrorizing a young lady by trying to force her into marrying him. We enjoy the rare opportunity to play as two interchangeable characters while we learn about their individual perspectives, referring to their dissimilar approaches to handling the various predicaments they must overcome, as well as their feelings toward each other. The supporting characters add depth to the story by contributing to and enhancing the protagonists’ experiences; they offer their knowledge and services to the protagonists so they can achieve their objectives. As we poke around the scenes, we feel immersed within the environment as the animations spring to life, such as pictures jiggling, lights turning on and off, and a lightening bolt breaking a tombstone in half. You can customize your settings. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. The graphics are presented with an inferior quality; they are visually faded and blotchy. In custom mode, the teleport map facilitates smooth travel to desired locations and indicates available actions. Furthermore, the map functions in an all-encompassing capacity since it stores your main components, such as the journal (notes and letters) and collectibles, to one convenient area. Moreover, you can enable the option to show the locations in which you can collect an Extra. The HOSs are diverse and highly interactive; some contain embedded mini-puzzles. The puzzles will vary; and some test your dexterity skills, such as the one where you steer a boat while avoiding oncoming obstacles. You can choose a difficulty setting for most of them. You discover several sets of engaging collectibles, which are sometimes inconspicuously placed; one such set lets you furnish the Boudoir Room. The sole flaw we experienced was the slight clunkiness while transitioning in and out of the cut-scenes; other than that, no other glitches to report. To sum it up, we are enjoying this game due to the interesting storyline, diversity of HOSs and puzzles, and the abundance of collectibles that will keep you amused. The free trial is a decent enough length to allow you to determine whether or not you will want to purchase it. Our rating is a solid 4 stars.
We liked the story idea; we love a good horror. The games were fun. We would have liked the games to make sense in the plot but, then again, these games rarely do. We also always want better voice overs. The women in this one were painful to listen to. We would have loved a music score to enhance the atmosphere. We keep hoping for more logic and more of a movie-like feel. All in all, one of the better games – unless you don’t like horror.
For the most part we enjoyed it but by the end of the main story we started losing interest. Some mini games were challenging while others like mixing potions was super easy. Our interest perked up a bit during the bonus chapter and we did enjoy all the extras there were to collect. Final thoughts, good game but not one we’ll keep to replay down the line.
