Neat and got it for free, cant complain.

Controls are slow to react and gameplay is not very fluid for its type.

Boring app that we wouldnt even consider as a game. Very frustrating and we definitely do not recommend. Deleted.

Theres little point to creating a game that causes constant frustration with random variables that only serves to prevent you from ever completing it. Dark Wave is well presented and has a very likable music soundtrack. But it is unfairly challenging after level 25 or so, which leads to boredom and, for many, simple abandonment. Whats the point of that? The easy mode attempts to make things fairer but doesnt quite succeed. Theres no easy mode on the Apple TV version, nor any in-app purchase offering to acquire the endless mode if the player so chooses (they purchased the full game, right?). This is the first – and last – game Ill get from Semidome. You blew it.

Nightgate may quite honestly be our favorite game of all time. We played the whole thing on Apple TV, and its really a perfect storm of awesomeness with the lights off and the music cranked. As far as this game, it has that same aesthetic, but we dont like the music quite as much. Its also much much harder. Nightgate was more of a droney, zoned out experience, whereas this one is a lot more twitchy. We’ve discovered that you really need to get into a hyper focused zen state to even have a chance on some of the later levels, gaining some sort of a sixth sense on where things will go. That said, we feel like the developers do great work, though we would probably love this game a lot more if it was somewhat more forgiving. Im not sure if Im going to be able to beat it, but Im definitely going to keep plugging away. Update (8-7-18) This is going to be our final update. After playing more of Endless Mode than we would care to admit, we feel like we have a pretty solid sense of what this game is. First off, the music is fine and fits the game well. Second, we mentioned a Hyper Light Drifter esque sense of difficulty in our last review, which was way off. That game is a lot more strategic (and a totally different genre all together). Dark Wave in our mind is about two things: riding an ever changing wave, and learning how to stay calm during a subtle sense of escalating tension. Once you figure out how the pieces work, its more about being composed enough to make a quick decision in your head without thinking too much about it. We cant think of any game since we were a kid to where we were determined to beat our high score. It became a personal obsession to do so, and now that we’ve done it we can rest easy. For all of these reasons, this game has earned our highest praises, and we can confidently give it 5 stars.

This game really makes you think and predict where the ball is going to be. We havent finished it yet but getting there.

This game is a game you play more for the sound track (vapor wave music) than the actual game. Who ever wrote the music dide a excellent job but the game itself is really hard and getd borring quickly.

One word to describe this game – b o r we n g. Swipe left, swipe right. Most if the time, the balls are so big that you cant tell which line theyre on, and they dont always hit you even if they were in the same place that they hot you from before. Only savior is the music which is not bad at all.

No game is perfect but this game adds a sweet twist to what would otherwise be another temple runner: wave physics. Not only do you have to avoid randomly lane switching obstacles, all the lanes act like ocean waves! The only way to survive is to learn to anticipate where the waves are going to toss you (and the obstacles). The soundtrack is the reason we gave it 4 stars. If we had the ability to choose trance or edm style soundtracks we would like it more. Hint hint.

Its weird. We get where they were going but the game is difficult with all the movements and for us, personally we think that if they were trying to get a more scary game then Great. But its not our thing. We need more relaxing This game make us anxious and when you get hit its says DEAD and thats unsettling.

Way too hard if not impossible. A game should be enjoyable not total frustration. We deleted this game. Other games r wonderful! Only reason we bought this one.

Takes you through a long un-interruptible splash screen then at least 5 minutes of the slowest gameplay we have ever seen. Dont know whats next because we couldnt last any longer. Another waste of a buck, at least for us.
