A young girl named Alice finds a strange box holding an egg. From that egg a Bird of Fire hatches, and somehow enters right into the girl, leaving a burn mark on her arm. From that moment on, Alice is part of the eternal battle between Darkness and Flame. Soldiers are after her, but Alice's father manages to save her – at the price of his life. Forced to flee her home, Alice sets off to find her only relative – her uncle – someone she has never met. Together they'll have to undergo many trials in all corners of the Fertile Lands, meet exotic tribes and races, avoid imminent danger, solve dozens of puzzles, and finally face the great evil threatening the whole fantasy world. Great graphics and storyline. Decent puzzles but a LOT of back and forth that doesnt flow well with the story. But still throughly enjoyed it.
We started with F2P to see if we remembered playing on PC many years ago. We did remember the beginning and completed 2 chapters – then we bought the game outright. Please get the rest of this series ready for our iPad.

We hope you are still producing these. We have enjoyed every game of yours that we have tried. The art is amazing. Insects, moving water, sounds, everything is so realistic. Makes you feel more like you are on an adventure. The HOPs are so much better than the usual ones. Fun mini games. Great map. And, we like the collectibles, and that they show up on the map.
Ive been playing another developers games for over 20 years, and we just found this developer yesterday. We must say, Im truly amazed and grateful that we found you guys!!!! The quality is soooo much better. And Im absolutely enjoying it so much more than the quick cranked out games from other game sellers who dont even support their own games anymore. We are now a brand new fan of FIVE-BN UK LTD! Thank you, and Ill be buying all the games that you offer(not the free ones that you need to purchase as-you-go, only the paid games.).
The Five-BN games are fantastic. Superb effects and graphics, interesting and original stories, and a variety of challenges. The Darkness & Flame series is no exception. We hope Five-BN keep making games. They have Big Fish beat hollow.
So far, so good. Takes some time to work through on first game and haven't progressed very far but graphics are beautiful.
Of course we are enjoying it! Just played Lost Lands 2 and it was out of this world!!!!!!! Now hubby and we both downloaded this one and we are having a great time with it! People if you love great adventure games with great puzzles and great stories that lasts for a long time, these developers won't let you down Well guys, you did it again!!!!! Another FANTASTIC GAME!!!!!! Now hubby and we are going to download another one of your AMAZING GAMES!!!! Please don't stop creating them.

At first, we played the free sample version, and we really enjoyed the game, so we went out on a limb and purchased the full game for $6.99. (our first and last app purchase)…we CANNOT even begin to tell you how disappointed we were. Not that the game itself isnt fun, (it is!) but we literally only played for about and hour and a half/2 hours before we completed the game. We couldnt believe it. THEN , when youre finished with the main game, theres a bonus game that lasts a whopping hour at most collectively. It was such a waste of money. $7 app for about 3/4 hours of the game collectively.
Found the game too short and had zero sound even though all our settings for game and iPad were all the way up, very disappointed- graphics were good though story was lame.
Another great game! We took a point off because of the plot line that has you traveling back to where you shouldn't be, but other than that, it's wonderful.
This is a fantastic game – just as we've come to expect from 5BN. This one in particular has a storyline very different from any other game we've played, & it gave us a bit of a shiver when we figured it out! The games are all well thought out, with gorgeous art & really good voice actors. We're always excited when a new game comes out, & we now buy them without even playing them first, because we completely trust them. Although, we would like to say that it's really nice to be able to give them a test play, since that's an option that BigFish took away from us. Probably because their games are so bad anymore that they know we wouldn't buy them if we got a glimpse first. We'd choose 5BN over BigFish ANY day.
We're in love with the Five-BN games – best iPad games available (and we've played a lot!). Graphics are beautiful, storyline is great, has all our favorite elements in a game: fun/challenging HOGS, transporting map, good Hint function, good character voices, even good background music and sound effects. Also, LOVE that the game isn't 'evil' in nature .. Nothing demonic, satanic, overly scary, etc. PLEASE Five-BN, keep these phenomenal gams coming.
It's a wonderful game. We've played all of their games thus far and we will continue to do so. Can't wait for what's to come.

Our goodness Five-BN games has done it again! Your games are superior to anything in this genre and we've played most of them by various game makers. We get so excited when we see a new game by you folks and we're never disappointed! So very creative. We even enjoy the ho scenes which lately seem to to bore us and you don't kill the game with an hos every few steps like so many. Nothing is lacking here folks! Everything we look for in this genre of games is here and more. A must buy like all their games! We wish you put a new game out twice a week like big fish, we'd buy them all but understand perfection can't be rushed & you're one developer. Good work.
Best yet from Five-BN. Smooth gameplay, no glitches, no crashes, no issues. Unique story, lots to do, interesting puzzles, and good length. Unlike the paranormal garbage BF has been putting out..so nice to play something else. Thank you.
Once again Five-BN has outdone itself. The Artwork as always gorgeous. The Map indicates the transporting. It has Collectible objects and Morphing objects. A great game but a low hard drive hugger. You must play this adventure.
Love this developer and their unique style. Beautiful graphics, great voice overs. Storyline is adventurous with hidden object scenes, puzzles and a nice teleporting map. We also like the fact that there is a journal. Morphing objects and collectibles are always fun and add a lot to the game. So far, the hidden object scenes are find the shapes, but we are not that far into it. Buy & Enjoy! Thank You, KdBoots.

Young lady finds an egg out of which a Phoenix emerges and enters the girl changing her life forever. Once again Five-BN has outdone itself! Artwork-gorgeous! Diary – yup! Awesome transporting indicated map -yup! Collectable objects and morphing objects-yuppers! No custom difficulty but honestly this game is so good we don't even care. Fans of the NY Mysteries and Lost Lands series will be ecstatic to see this new adventure! Verdict: BUY.
Rating: 4.5 stars rated up to 5 we love all of the Five-Bn games, so our expectations were pretty high for this game. And it does have a lot going for it – clear graphics, interesting story, bells and whistles of a collector's edition game. However it was a bit glitchy at first, and only after fully rebooting the iPad was we able to get through the beginning without being kicked out a few times. The good: Although it doesn't exactly specify this, there is a customizable mode. We selected one of the modes and then deselected things we didn't want (like sparkles on active areas, HOGs etc.). There is a transportable map which shows areas where actions are needed, and which also show where you've missed collectibles and morphing objects. Yes, there are morphing objects (so far in every scene) and some of them are a bit small and hard to find. Luckily you can zoom into every scene. Collectables come in groups of 7 (one per scene as well). It's a little hard to determine what's a collectable so we end up clicking any weird thing we can see. Transition times between scenes is good The bad: Dialogue and voices are pretty wooden. We would almost prefer to just read the text and turn off the volume. The ugly: we couldn't get past the opening cut scene without the game kicking us out, so eventually we had to skip that scene, which means we missed the rest of the opening sequence where Alice finds the box. Just restarting the game (or changing the user profile) won't fix it. You need to close all programs and completely reboot your iPad. After that, it was smooth sailing for us.
