We love the puzzles and how you weave them into interesting stories. We have played through this series, our introduction to your wonderful games. We hope you finish the story, like Lost Lands completed Susans story. Anyway, we are waiting until your next offering (does Susans granddaughter continue in Lost Lands; are their more Tricky Doors; or another episode of the New York series; etc.) and playing this one again in the meantime. We really enjoy solving the puzzles while going through an adventure. Great mental exercise without great difficulty. Challenging enough to keep it fun without stress. We hope the developers continue producing these series.
Its clear there is a lot of care that goes into making these games. The puzzles are hard but fair. You can beat the entire game without using hints. But hints do save time. And we like supporting the developers, so we buy about 20-50 hints every game. Ive never once run out between the main games and bonus games. If you compare it to the standalone versions, its about the same price. For the relaxing gameplay, its worth it.
We love this game! Its challenging enough to make it interesting but easy enough to figure out. Graphics are great and we love that you dont function on and can run out of energy.

The Darkness & Flames series of puzzles at are really nice, and enjoyable throughout. But came across a snag/glitch maybe, the part where you pick up puzzle pieces, but your not able to put it together at the point your supposed to, and receive the lever for the chest. We hope your able to help solve this, and to either continue with this series, or start a new series. Ive been bouncing back and forth with series, and your other one Lost Lands. Ill be starting #7 of LL(of 9, so far)after this one. Then start back with #4 with D&F. The paying for hints platform you have in both puzzles is fine. Every once in a while we come across an issue that for some reason we just cant wrap our head around a particular puzzle, and will surrender to using 10 hints to bypass it. But thats part of the game. Only problem besides the issue we mentioned above, Ill eventually catch up before you put out a new series(haha). We wish you would do a Chicago Mysteries Series. Not a New York Mystery fan. One our thing, confusion of the D&F 3&4 regular, and CE version. We dont mind paying for creative well done puzzles, we just want to know the difference between the two(especially when both have different cover apps of D&F 3, for example).
We love these games! Not a fan of running back and forth so much but generally enjoy these games. Challenging but not impossible. Alice and her group are our favorite characters. Looking forward to more games.
5 star rating if you kept the adds to a max of 30 seconds.
The clues are fairly worthless and tasks are not intuitive. We hate it when you watch a vid for a hint but the hint only sends you back a scene. Then, you have to watch another vid for another hint. Sorry, but this one is poor at best.
The game itself was OK the problem we have with this game is that every time and thats all of the darkness flames we would go and buy the 1499 and it would charge us 2499 for something for 200 hints or if we were getting the three dollar or 399 one it would charge us five bucks. This is ridiculous we got charged more than we shouldve been so we didnt like that at all.
We love puzzle and strategy games and we have loved everything they have created! The stories and graphics are exceptional and the puzzles are difficult without being impossible to figure out! We usually check at least once a week waiting for the next one.

We were so sad after finishing all 8 Lost lands, what will we do now? Then we discovered the darkness and flame series. Its so fun, and magical. We love the puzzles, and we love that if a puzzle is too hard we can watch a few adds and pass it. These are our favorite app games, amazing graphics too.

This game and story are so awesome and sooo long that Im really grateful for the low price. It seems that so much time and talent goes into all the five-bn games that we wish more people would buy them. We love it when something totally unexpected happens, new characters come along, and the story progresses smoothly with really fun puzzles (a couple of them are actually pretty difficult!) and HO scenes. We can hardly wait for your next game.

Love these games, have played through 2 and now 2/3 through #3 and have lost all our game progress on our iPad. Would love to know of any way to recover it.
We always enjoy playing Five-BN games. They are mostly challenging but not impossible. In this story we like the character, Alice. Our favorite so far. We don't usually care a flip about the characters or storyline but she was what made this game for us. We found the story itself to be a bit bland. Then we got to the bonus game. We lasted about 30 seconds in and had to just turn it off. The old lady's voice was so annoying we couldn't stand it. And who sends an 80 yr old woman and a child out to look for survivors while the man stays at camp? The mini games were fun and offered a nice variety. The graphics are pretty good also. We liked games 1 and 2 better we believe. But will continue and play them all. As much as we love FiveBN games they have features we dislike and some we would love to see added. Requiring 10 hints to skip a mini game is absurd. We appreciate so much this game is free and understand FiveBN needs profit but we will not buy 10 hints. We also am NOT going to sit through 10 ads. We run ads on our iPad while we do other things on our phone so we never actually have to watch them. But it is frustrating having to wait. If it was 2 or 3 hints we may occasionally watch the ads or buy hints. We wish the map showed where active tasks were available. It would also be nice if the hints were more useful and showed where you specifically needed to be other than just a general area on the map. Thanks for the great games. We always look forward to playing.

Love these games only problem is when you watch the videos to get a coin a lot of times it doesnt give you the coin. Ive lost at least 50 coins.
Good puzzles. Walkthrough needed at many places to move forward or $$$ for clues.

Update: Thank you so much for the pay-up-front version! So excited to get back into this series! The darkness and flame series is our absolute favorite HOG series. As such, we have no problem doling out well deserved cash to the developers; however, we prefer to do this as an up front payment. We find these F2P coin based models absolutely unplayable. It just takes away so much, including the fact that the map doesnt show if you got the morphing objects in an area or not. We think its nice to have this option for those who prefer it, but we just cant enjoy it. We hope the wonderful folks at five-bn consider releasing a pay to unlock full game version for all darkness and flame series so we can enjoy our favorite HOGs again :).
Our wife and we sit side by side co-playing the games on our phones, Lost Lands and this series were wonderful.
We're playing this series and we really love it , we love all the series of "Five-BN" studio games , so smart and addictive , wonderful videos, music and graphic. Though we really don't want to kill any animals , but it's in the storyline anyway , it would be great to make them sleep or run somehow instead of killing them it will be great if you consider that , thanks for your efforts . It's getting better and better.
We continue to enjoy the storyline, and the challenge of the game, though we didnt appreciate having to involve ourselves with the death of an animal! Looking forward to the next chapter of your series.

We love this game but when you watch a video u get coins and when u watch two videos u only get one we wish they would give u how many videos u watch how many coins u get.
We played this it seems like years ago and it seems like the first time. Its great that everything is free. All you need to do is watch ads for coins. No problem at all. So, hints are free and so are skips. Awesome! Thanks for a great game.
This is the third in the series. Im glad it had some new types of puzzles.
Some puzzles are basically impossible so the option is to skip it or give up the game. Making it just five hints to skip instead of ten would be helpful.
Excellent video quality, story, puzzles, and music. And the hints are FREE with ads. REVISED: Oh our God! Lose 2 stars because we cant believe a fox (or wolf) had to be electrocuted. We play this type of games for entertaining and relaxing. Not to kill an animal, not even in a game. Next time put a sleeping pill in his food or something. PLEASE, take this into consideration for future installments.

Love the Darkness and Flame series. They are getting better and better. The voice of the young actress is better than in other same genre games. The videos parts are well made. Really love this series. Five B-N Studio is the best company for the genre. We really enjoyed the New York Mysteries and Lost lands series as well. Bravo.
This developer makes awesome games and we love how each time we finish one another game is released. Our ONE issue with these games is that when we play them it wont let us play our own music in the background which we find frustrating when we want to listen to music while we play these games. Maybe Im just not seeing the setting that fixes that, but if that could be fixed Id be thrilled :))).

We just love your games they are amazing, awesome, wonderful and etc.etc. There is only one thing, in the game we cant get free coins by watching videos, the free coins option is frozen. Anyways this does not stop us from enjoying such wonderful games. Once again thank you for the games.

We prefer the first two games in this series. They had highly interactive hos that really added to the adventure. The 3rd game only has list type and replace the item hos, with minimal interaction. These types of hos actually detract from the game, imo. The story, while adding new and interesting characters, was kinda lame. You are just trying to find stones for the heroine to touch. Yawn. And they never explain why her powers are dwindling. There didnt seem to be as many mini games, but they were well done as always. This is a true adventure game that, despite the mentioned flaws, is still quite fun to play.
A little more finger-pokey than the previous outings. Too much of the story segments and less about solving puzzles. Some of the puzzles are way off the beaten path, its hard to remember how far back and forth you have to jump in the story to to solve them. (The map system is still a great help, but too far between sub-plot lines to help much.) Side puzzles are a little more bland than before, but all around a good experience. Hints arent as easy to get for free. We dont mind watching ads, but theyre not offered as an option as often as before. Instead theres a hard push to get you to buy the hints.
Shouldnt have to pay an absurd amount of money for the game , should be able to do a one time purchase and NOT have to pay for hints , The game itself is great BUT STOP making us pay so much.
