What Makes DEAD CITY – Text Adventure Stand Out
DEAD CITY is an incredibly thrilling interactive chat story which cannot be told without your help. For Sam, you are the only contact outside of the evacuated area.
Live up to the trust placed in you and guide Sam through the post-apocalyptic chat text adventure game in real-time.
Make your choices carefully, as they will have severe consequences on the story of the game.
DEAD CITY's interface is based on a chat messenger app (similar to Lifeline) representing your connection to Sam.
It is neither necessary to answer all messages immediately nor to have the game open permanently.
You will be notified about new events even if the App is closed and you can decide yourself how things should be run.

Community Insight:
The game was good but they really didnt know who we were so it made the texting little impersonal.
The story was realized good we bonded with the main character so well. We definitely would suggest spending the money for this game its really good.
The game is fantastic, looking forward to your next one.
We've played this game before and am also playing Duskwood for the second time. The stories are so great and it surprised us how much we enjoyed playing a text game like this. The characters are so real and we actually bonded with them. We don't know if there are multiple endings built on choices since we pick mostly the same choices. We really hope that we'll see more games from everbyte. Great work everyone.
The only reason we dont give this 5 stars is because we wish it was longer, but we cant deny how amazing this story was. We felt real connection with Sam and hopefully they make another one like this one. Zombies are our favorite sub genre so we really hope they make another.
Ive already played it through twice and Im going in for our third NOW! Ps please make new chapters…maybe same is able to contact us somewhere at some point for more assistance or possible have another character find the phone so we can continue this amazing story.
Ive always been a big fan of choose your own adventure! This is marvelous & we had a fantastic time! Thank you.
Really enjoyed playing these game it was interesting had never played game like these before keep up good work an really hope come out with 2nd one.
The syntax is occasionally wrong and the sentences look like they were translated from another language. Also the game doesnt interact with the Apple Watch, most other text adventure games do. Also there is no mode to speed up or slow down the interaction.
Love the app Hope you guys make a part 2.
This thing that personally bugged us is that Im pretty sure theres only 2 differing endings, correct us if Im wrong. Also we felt like the talking intervals were very short, like exchange for 3 mins then Sam was gone for an hour. There was also multiple times where there were spelling errors and improper grammar, so much that Im really confused how the producers didnt notice. Lastly, a lot of times there was a choice between two responses, a nice one and a not as nice one. But we felt this feature was stupid cause it doesnt impact the story whether youre nice to him or not and also 99% you get the same response whether youre nice or not. We think the game needs a lot of work but theres definitely potential. We were impressed by the wide range of characters, a feature we havent seen in a lot of these kinds of games. We also like how it somewhat mimicked a sleep schedule with the main character which helped us keep up and align it with ours. Ill be interested in what the company does next because we think this could be a very valuable learning point so we will be playing games from them again, just didnt think this one was great. Excited to see whats next.
We had such and adventure with Sam! Although it was hard saying farewell to him or her. We would love to play more of these adventures with the undead roaming around, thank you for making this amazing app.
