Id like it more if weapons were a little cheaper, or if money was easier to get. Currently it would take about 66 missions to get enough money for a better weapon, considering that each mission gives around $363. Also, the controls mention a crouch button, but we can’t get it to work. Other than that, great game. Graphics are good, aiming is exquisitely smooth, and the storyline is good.
We never have done a review on ios but this game deserves it. Truly free and better than any game on a phone. We tend not to like FPS however with the lack of RPGs with choice based gameplay on mobile, this being no exception aside from level ups, this game changed our mind. For a phone , great game and thats no insult! Infact the best we have played so far. Thank you for opening our eyes to a new genre. FYI no ridiculous paywalls!
We absolutely love this game it is one of the best FPS we have ever seen. But we wanted to know if you could add in something to make your game even better. A multiplayer pvp mode where you play against other players like in death match and in team death match. That would be the best. Please consider our suggestion and thank you for this amazing game.
The problem is that when the cyber dogs come we can not understand the audio thing it is to hard please make it easier.
We literally finish the whole story even though at the part 3 mission it really hard but we eventually finished the game we really enjoyed it and we would love to see more story coming like after they went to planets and it continued to part 4 and add more people to the story and new places than just space ship like outside of space ship map and they meet more people in that planet etc.
The graphics are superb, the gameplay is logical and theres plenty of upgrades while remaining challenging and fun. If you liked SYSTEM SHOCK 2 this is a game you will enjoy a lot. Only annoyance we’ve found is that the main character likes fiddling with the clip, but not reloading it (spurious reload idle animation) which then leaves you defenseless for a few seconds, which in this game can be pretty deadly.
We really enjoyed the first Dead Effect and since Id recently upgraded from an iPhone 6 to an XS, that meant we finally had enough storage space to install the game so we went ahead and did. We looked up some videos of people playing to learn a few tips and tricks and one thing we noticed from watching old gameplay was that you dont earn nearly as many credits per mission anymore as you could before the game was deleted and this version took its place. You literally earn about 10% of what used to be possible. Plus the best weapons/armor cost crystals rather than credits but you wont get enough of those unless you pay for them with real money. We understand that the game is free and was made by a small group of developers so they need those micro transactions, but it feels like the game could be balanced a bit better for those of us who like to play to win, not pay. Mind you, Im more than willing to pay real money but would prefer to do it because we want to, not because we have to. Anyway, its still a great game and Id recommend it to anybody with the patience to grind their way through it.
First off let us say Bravo to the Developers of this fine game, we always make sure to download it with each new phone we get. Its a must play in our opinion if you are a fan of the FPS genre. And one thing that perplexes us is how this game isnt more popular and that it hasnt been updated in 4 years. How we wish it were being continually worked on or that there was a Dead Effect 3 in the making, although such things arent meant to be we suppose. Anyways, great game and we will continue to play it as long as the Devs allow us to. Thanks for a great gaming experience. Take care.
We play both Dead Effect and Dead Effect 2 with absolute dedication, but a month ago. We had to uninstall the game because we can no longer get it to open up on our iPad Pro. One month later, we try to do the same thing and we still am unable to load the app without crashing upon opening it. The apps loading screen appears upside down and then crashes immediately afterwards. Please fix this issue.
To all new players if you need money farm the first level on Hell difficulty to get money and levels.
Our friend Cas had it , she asked if we wanted on steam co op. Should have listened to her. Cuz both versions (app or computer steam games version ) are great. For 3 gb , had more hours than advertised. Its Free in this version! Steam compy version was like 20-30$. So get it! Its play to win, not pay. But the only con, to mind, is that no cross platform for app to steam- means no co op that we know of so far. Also in the beginning it is very hard. But once you do side task, one may overcome bottle neck, once the guns or armor get upgrade or new replacements. Rpg elements to stats abilities and gear for farm or grind- to help if stuck in story mode. Side missions and modes help. At 4-5 days playing we already have 2 sets of legendary gear! Worth triple A quality. Console grapX.

Surprised by the quality of the game in terms of gameplay, graphics/polish, as well as the story. We original only expected a main story mode, but theres a lot of different modes and missions u can play, not to mention side objectives. It can be played without spending any money, however sum sections do get tough. Use survival mode as soon as u unlock it as a hood and efficient way to grind money,gear, and levels. Solid game all around.
Great game good story but it would also have. A good multiplayer.
The games is amazing love the graphics and love the detail put into this but we’re not gonna lie buts the games pretty hard at the 5-7 lvl you have to kill all the soldiers and then kill The robot after that you have to fight a boss.
It would be amazing to see this game get a multiplayer mod/coop. And maybe more updates.
We’ve played many, so called top rated fps games and we havent been impressed, but we rate this title up there with shadowgun legend and better than Dead Effect 2 because the story mode in that game is extremely short.
We are unable to make the purchase of crystals we purchased the new character u added but when we try to purchase the crystals it shows an error sign pls fix it ASAP or tell us how to fix it.
So we’ve loved Dead Effect since the first game, we watched as the second was added but than got so confused when both games were removed from app store only to come back again. We lost all our progress and cannot restore the 20$ we spent on this game. We see the developer added updates to the game but Im severely disappointed that the developer didn’t patch up the many holes in this game, maybe they are not aware so Ill list them. One of the maps in survival mode, Train station, has absolutely no barriers. We can easily fall off the map by walking on one of the boxes and we can climb on boxes just by moving around them (Can do this in several other maps as-well and sometimes get stuck), and when we do so the zombies disappear. We really think this should be fixed because its easy to cheat the game and harvest money without doing any work. Also Im confused as to why the crouch button is now gone, we used it in the past to aim better and sneak around during story mode. We know it is still there because we can fiddle with the size of the button in the control layout menu but during game it is never visible. Other than that we have recommendations; There should be more modes to make the game funner and to make it easier to get money, like if there was a mode where you could only use melee weapons or something challenging like that, thatd be fun. And just in general, there should be lots more to do so you can progress in story mode better. Thanks for reading, Ill have more to add in the future because we know this game has lots of potential but we have yet to cone up with more ideas.

Im surprised that this game has literally like-… <1K reviews. This game is majestic for a mobile game; Decent graphics, the storyline can get you hooked on like a fish, and the gameplay is simple. This game is slightly buggy but its still playable. Its a very unique zombie shooter game because it doesnt just involve shooting up the undead, there are more diverse enemies to combat and its sci-fi and we dont get that a lot in the horror-action genre.
The game is not supported full screen in our iphone xs max we wanat to play this game but not like this would you fix it pleas.
We think this series has great potential to be a big one we like the system we wish it was open world but it is still pretty great it seems to be one of the best FPS games on the App Store and the discription is honest the guns are. Amazing and you dont even need money to get everything in the game.
We grew up with dead effect series at the time we couldnt find another game we would spend endless hours on even today with our newer ios account this series is very great we hope whoever made this series see this and hope the make a dead effect 3 or reboot the series we would love to see to see dead effect be brung back for one last time in all its glory.
This game is unbelievable. Considering the fact that it was realised in 2015, the graphics are crazy, comparing even to a console or pc game. The gameplay is fun, especially in co-op. One of our favorite games. Cant wait for tau ceti unknown.
We watched a video on this game and we noticed that he got a weapon after defeating the boss but when we defeated it, we got no weapons so pls add that so we can get weapons during our missions.
It starts to grind on after the first few levels (player levels not missions.) you dont really earn enough credits or crystals to buy new weapons without an in-app purchase. Perhaps slightly increasing the amount earned a little would keep it from becoming a chore. Or maybe allow the selling of old weapons after you get your new weapons (uhh… Oops spoilers). Similar to how you replace the armor and implants.
The game is one of the best mobile games we’ve playedmaybe ever. With that, the issue keeping us from giving 5 stars is with general mission Bioresearch Theta. With two remaining teleport anchors Im unable to get past the door to reach them, and before that we had to fire our beam at the zombies through the door before it allowed us to open. Somehow, that also destroyed the 2nd anchor. Is there a site we can go to? Is this an unfixable glitch? Any help would be appreciated.
You know we like this game but you know what VR could be a hit with this game not even gonna lie like really we would pay like 30$ for this game if they made it VR.
Dont get us wrong this game is one of the best zombie shooters to ever exist on mobile. Our only problem is that this game is not full screen for IPhone X and up because theres 2 big black bars. Theres one big one of the left side and one big one on the right and that makes the screen feel small when Im playing. It would be great and really appreciated if the developers optimized the screen for iPhone X and up.
The video in YouTube introduced the game to us the first time and we’ve been attracted by this game at once. The control of game, the feeling of taking a gun and shooting the zombies is really good but we downloaded this game for actually a month! Dont know whether it is our iPads problem or the huge size of the game but it is really awful. We even deleted this game for MANY times wwwwww. Not good at English and write this the first time.
We love the game and have played it on and off for close to a year. The graphics and sounds are amazing for a mobile game and the side quests really keep you going even after the well constructed campy. The only complaint we have is that its way too time consuming to get all the boss kills required for weapons training. Needing 30-50 Boss kills is way too much for how long it takes to actually get to a boss. Even with maxed out weapons it takes a minimum of 3 minutes before you can get to a boss and kill it. We suggest either lowering the boss kill requirements or providing a faster way to get them. Another addition that we believe would make the game more enjoyable would be an endless survival mode that becomes progressively harder.
This game is awesome for a mobile FPS, although we are wondering we are able to hook up a Bluetooth controller to our iPad (the steam controller) yet it doesnt seem to function in the game despite it able to control the iPad itself, is it possible to add support for it? For the touch layout it would be wonderful if all aspects of the ui could be moved around in order to accommodate tablet users such as myself) Also we have both the old app and the new one and want to transfer our old data to the new app. , we would also like to see cross device cloud syncing over Facebook or another service so we can play the game on one device and continue on another device (like an android device) One thing we’ve noticed is that despite the game being on the highest graphic quality, the models and shadows still look like utter crap, Certain animations could be a bit less stiff, and by a personal preference the voice acting could use a do-over cause it seems so generic and flat-toned, and doesnt exactly fit the characters. The characters themselves could be a bit more expressive with the addition of idle animations or something.

We were an avid player of Dead Effect and Dead Effect 2 on IOS. , until we tried transferring them onto our two year old iPad Air using the latest IOS operating system. We lost all of our progress and all of our in game purchases when we loaded Dead Effect 2 onto our new device. You cant play long with the miserly mission payouts compared to the absurd cost of upgrades , armor , implants and weapons , many requiring actual cash purchases . We change our review slightly because we found that there is a reward system for many of our achievements and accomplishments in the game. It would be nice if this was easier to access and made as common as visiting for upgrades , armor , and weapons . We can also see the list of achievements and previous progress we made through Game Center , we dont understand why previous upgrades in all required areas cant or wont be restored , still disappointing .
Had this game a while back but felt it seemed riggedenemy approaches & our guy changes magazines even though we got 20-30+ rounds left. Never happens when theres no enemies around lol. Why cant this get fixed?

We love this game! It is a great game when you are bored and super fun too boos fights are really cool and love the powers you can use too the story is great and good levels Love this game definitely recommend it.
You have to keep replaying scenes youve already played because theres no save option! We spent 20 minutes playing and then went to continue and had to start all over again! The game is great with that exception. We had to delete it for that reason. We only like playing games in bursts. How the developers could have left such a critical option out of the game is beyond us.
The game is great and we had an amazing time in the beginning but as we leveled up the regular zombies became ways stronger than our weapons and we couldnt grind to get better guns. So we constantly died and eventually made no progress at all. Im sure there is a way to bypass this without spending money but we dont have the patience for it.
This game played pretty good. Its just not optimized for the iPhone XS and the controller layout is very limited so we cant take advantage of our controller we use with Call of Duty.
Graphics very good, play ability very good, MUST eventually PAY to play or not get tired if killed and restarted 50 times. We gave up on twenty. Not sure but did seem to be some sabotage going on also, our weapon, with plenty of ammo would NOT fire after the second round of the attack, nor would the electronic weapon, it worked twice then poof no power! Showed the blue currents but again ZERO EFFECT. So to make a long complaint shorter SEEEEEEE YA!!!
Was playing this but as others have said, you will need to keep restarting from the beginning in order to finish a mission. Also, you will need to keep playing mission over and over to get credits high enough to buy the good weapons, otherwise youre stuck the ones they give you. Slots for explosives have to be bought. Basically, everything have to be bought.
