So we saved this game to play until one of the last of a bunch of games we got as we enjoyed the trial version so much. When we first started the trial, we were not expecting to like it too much, but by the end of the trial we were completely enthralled! We love the two scenes where you had to find clues by moving your finger over the screen like a getting colder getting hotter game. We have never seen this before and it was creative and felt that we were actually searching a crime scene. So many mysteries have a pretty obvious culprit and storyline, but this one always stays one step ahead of you. Collecting clues and interviewing people to get lies and truth made this game stand out from any other mystery we’ve played. Even if they were lying, you still didn’t know for sure if they were involved! It really makes you feel that you are actually on a case. Even the shredding of the clues in the HOPs fit in so perfectly with the storyline (love that feature in this and other Eipix games – looks and sounds so satisfying for some reason). If you don’t have this game yet, buy it!

We thoroughly enjoyed this game. The graphics were excellent and the games had something for everyone. Some were easy and some took some thought to play. Only on a couple were the directions difficult to understand. We really like the detective story.

We absolutely love this game!! All the games by Big Fish are the best! Thank you.

We have purchased a lot and we mean a lot of games but this one by far exceeded all our expectations. The graphics are wonderful and we liked the fact that the scenes didn’t look like they tried to cram so much into it. It wasn’t too difficult but yet wasn’t too easy. We enjoyed how it all flowed and that we didn’t get frustrated at any point. Every item was explained and you didn’t have to jump all over the places to solve the puzzles. We’re so excited that there are games out there that are this wonderful. This is the first game of this series we have played so we are hoping the other ones are just as great. Thank you game makers!

Great game! We wanted to visit the resort, lol. Perfect graphics, storyline just dynamite. Like a real detective novel with plot twists and turns in an interactive way. Glad to be free of the occult stuff which we do not like or buy!

Loved it. The actual mystery was good, the puzzles were fun, the characters were well done with decent voice work. The bonus chapter was not skimpy and rushed like so many, although the bonus chapter was hard to navigate. The music was not so overwhelming that we had to turn it off. There was a little bit of hiding three things within three caches inside the same object (which we find lame) but not much.

The story and the game were fun once we got the hang of things. It has been a while since we truly enjoyed playing a complete game. Also loved it because there were no in-app purchases. We refuse to play games that end up charging us more than they are worth. Again loved this game and we will play it again.

We still dont know who the murderer is, theres an abrupt arrest at the end of the main game, but thats it. Then the bonus game doesnt deal with the murder at all, instead its about insurance fraud. This is obviously an older Eipix offering. No morphing items in hos, which their more recent games have. Graphics are okay. Hos are list with interactive elements. Mini games are simple. Worth a play on sale, but wouldnt buy at full price.

Soo good! So long! Zero complaints!

No issues, challenging minigames, original story, nice detailed graphics.

Its so refreshing to find a game by Big Fish that isnt focused on the occult and super gory horror. We would love to see more games like this, and more fantasy as opposed to horror. Come on Big Fish!

We like that the story line is a murder mystery, not one with ghouls and demons. What we dont like is the mini games. Like all Eipix games, the puzzles are complex but the instructions are minimal. We have to skip some as its not clear what the goal is or how to achieve it.

Hard to maintain interest in this story. Mini games are confusing and not well explained, not much fun. Game prevents you from playing the way you think it should go, must follow programmed sequences.

Story line is ok, but not enough things to search in per room. But it does keep us interested.

The truth/lies parts are very annoying. Otherwise, the game was not too hard, not too easy.

The game premise is pretty good. What drove us completely crazy was there was no option to continue during dialogue scenes. We had to sit there and wait for the dialogue to finish before moving on. A continue option would be great for those of us who can read the captions quickly.

The map is useless and sometimes its hard to get to were youre supposed to go. It game doesnt tell what youre to collect. We’ve only collected stuff by accident. The graphics are OK; the storyline is OK, too, but too much back & forth. Update: As for the map, dont use; tap the shoe icon and it gives you the name of areas you might need to go to. To collect items, you have to look for a thing that, we guess, resembles a tv remote or cordless phone and its sort of grayed out. We stand by the 3 star rating because we had to delete the game and start over again – at the point of using the electric saw to cut the box open to get the hook (Ch 5 and 2 pages from the Bonus game), the saw would not do what it was supposed to do so we couldnt get the hook to attach it to the rope. Therefore, we couldnt continue with the game! Bummer! Update 2 – had to delete again – CH 5, we were to play the HOP for the number tile and the HOP just disappeared!!! Since we couldnt go on with the game, we had to delete and start over! We like this game and would like to complete it, but at this rate, we just dont know if we ever will.

We love these games and play a new one every week. We love the Dead Reckoning titles but we couldn’t even purchase the full version, which is a shame because the graphics that Eipix puts out are usually pretty rad. Please fix this!

This game was way below our expectations. We deleted it almost immediately. Don’t buy! Waste of time and money..

Just bought this game an others and still have the receipt on our email. Now they wont let us play any off our games because it says we havent paid. Guess Im done with all of these now.

For those of you who don’t like monsters and scary, creepy themes but still want an engaging story line with varied puzzles–go for it. It was thoroughly enjoyable and a great way to pass a rainy afternoon. You play the role of a detective and the story has a nice twist at the end. The bonus chapter is an epilogue as opposed to the frequent and seldom satisfying "prequel" to the game you just completed. Well done! We look forward to the next in the series.

Except for this initial glitch with getting started, gameplay has been typical for this type of game and Amusing.

It is a mystery how some players were able to access and play this game ahead of its actual release; and we already noticed the same for the next game, "Mythic Wonders." The "updated" date for these apps under the description is usually the date of release for each version; and both state Dec. 22, 2016. Both games were released for iPad days later; "Dead Reckoning on Monday, the 26th and "Mythic Wonders" on Thursday, the 29th. In fact, on Wednesday, we were perusing through the BF library for a game to play since the whole library is on sale this week; and we did not see "Mythic Wonders" listed. Then, poof! At 12:00 a.m., Thursday morning, "Mythic Wonders" appears with already submitted reviews. Does anyone have an explanation for this intriguing mystery? On to the game: Get ready for the murder mystery mayhem that this series is known for! It is requested that you investigate the death of a celebrity at a popular resort in Florida. You will make your way around this serene resort, which is embellished with appropriate Caribbean-like flair, such as the expensive yachts drifting gently on crystal-clear waters that are surrounded by lush palm trees; ornately decorated rooms with sparkling and hanging chandeliers; collections of nautical-themed objects stored under lock and key; and large paintings of mythological gods adorning the walls. You will interrogate suspects in a unique fashion; however, we won’t ruin your sake of surprise. You do refer to the infamous Evidence Board, which holds your clues and the collected pieces of tangible evidence against each suspect. The graphics are, of course, typically faded and smudgy; they need an adjustment in sharpness and clarity to enhance the many intricate details. The colors are wonderfully light and airy, and they exude a zestful and pacifying ambiance for a change. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. No custom settings = pesky sparkles. The teleport map enables seamless transport to labeled locations; however, in second mode, only objectives to be completed are noted. The HOS are interactive and diversified in concept; we love the crafty, inventive ideas applied to the "find and use" format in the doctor’s lab. The varied puzzles are integrated into the storyline, such as finding road markers on a tourist map. You have a collection set, which blends very well into the background. Transition is fleeting and smooth; no glitches. In addition to the aforementioned gripes, there are a few other minor complaints. Firstly, the Evidence Board is accessible from under the Menu; and you cannot zoom up on the pieces of evidence after collecting them. In addition, a "back" button would have been beneficial since we found it to be a bit temperamental to return to the prior screen. Furthermore, a journal has been eliminated again; it appears that most developers are following this unfortunate trend. As usual with Eipix, we feel pulled back and forth between the positive aspects, such as the high level of creativity, and the negative aspects, such as the absence of desired features–like custom settings. We would love to rate this 3.5 stars; but due to our predilection toward mystery plots, our rating is 4 stars.

So far we’re finding this game entertaining but a little confusing too. But overall, we’re enjoying this challenge. As far as getting started we were frustrated too, but found if we clicked the star above profile we could continue.

We played the free trial. The majority of what we played was entertaining; however, one of the mini-games was confusing. We’ve experienced this same game, and the same confusion, in other games, too. You’re supposed to ascertain whether someone is lying or being truthful by picking out clues on their person and matching them to their statements, in one mode, and by matching clues on their person, as well as clues that you already have, to their statements, in another. The problem is that it’s unclear what one should be clicking on — it’s inconsistent. Clicking directly on clues worked some times, but not others; clicking on the words in the circle was correct sometimes, but not all the time; and bringing up the clues we already had was so unclear that we still don’t know how it’s done — we just clicked around until they appeared. The way the game is executed is odd. It’s like it’s supposed to be played in a few different ways — sometimes while talking to the same person — but there’s no indication that the game mode has changed.

Good story, long enough game play. Some mini games were hard to see, but other than that the game was pretty good.

Greetings, Gamers: Not our review but answering an SOS about the name entry screen. We too had the same issue and almost gave up in frustration. Neither the accept or cancel buttons would light up for acceptance to proceed or cancel and tapping both resulted in nothing happening but an INCREASE IN MY BLOOD PRESSURE So we tried tapping the sheriff badge itself and eureka! There’s gold in them that hills, Jed Clampett! That worked for us… Or was it a happy fluke? Hope it works for y’all… Or a happy fluke happens to y’all too. And a happy new year to boot! Game review to come later.

We expect a game to last us more the a couple of hours. Thank goodness we only paid $3.99 although it should have been less for the short play time. It was an okay game never the less.

Thank you for all the information, Izzyoc! Note to KimTwilight: we had the same problems with Space Legends as you did! Awful game. We will not recommend it to anyone so hopefully they did not already waste their money! The last few games have been pretty bad so we hope that we enjoy this one! Happy New Year, everyone! This is not our favorite series and we were somewhat underwhelmed by it. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t fabulous either. You cannot customize settings but there are 3 difficulty settings. There is no journal because EIPIX NEVER gives us one but there is a confusing evidence board. Luckily objectives are regularly updated and the storyline was on the simplistic side. The graphics were excellent and there were plenty of locations to unlock. At each you find a hidden symbol, which looked like a tool or microphone. Loading was instantaneous between locations and there was a marked teleport map to transport you, if so chosen under settings. At least the map was an in-game map, as opposed to the evidence board which was stupidly located under the Menu tab. Inventory was labeled and interactive and there were complex items to assemble. There were no morphing objects in the HO scenes, which suited us just fine. The HO scenes had some variation, or you could play a bubble-shoot game (which we detest) instead! There was a variety of puzzles, some of which were boring rotational junk that was unoriginal and a few new ones which we liked. You get to question suspects, as always in this series. The gameplay was quite smooth so we believe they are addressing quality assurance issues! We thought the game was quite short even with the bonus adventure. Oh, and EIPIX even threw in a RAT to annoy us further! Under the Extras section, there was no souvenir room, which we usually get from them. Our actual rating is 3.5 stars. We deducted stars for length, lack of a cohesive journal, and the inconvenience of the evidence board, as well as no souvenir room and an unoriginal storyline. In addition the map did not always function properly. It appeared that many players had issues creating their profile, but you have to just tap the badge and don’t worry about it further. That was a stupid glitch, EIPIX! Happy New Year to the fabulous DTE, especially (in no particular order) Dracyy, KimTwilight, Izzyoc, Sunshine Susie, Opinion, Catalina, Deana M, Moonbeam Dream and our beloved Snooper. Remember you have made a huge difference in the gaming world, especially this genre! Let us continue our good reviewing in 2017 and eventually BigFish and the other distributors will get it right and we will get higher quality and better games! We wish all other reviewers who support our efforts a wonderful holiday as well! !

Enter name the instead of hitting enter or button at bottom of badge, instead hit the word create at the top of badge. It’s stupid but it works.

For starters – Liked to have never got the game started. Player name would not respond. Good voiceovers, lots of interactive game play. Teleporting map which is not always helpful. Some items needed to be found in a particular order. On the brighter side, the graphics were very pleasing to the eye. We are kind of on the fence about this overall game. We felt it was lacking and could have been improved in many areas. Really have had a lot of games lately that have one kind of glitch or another. Not happy about that. Hopefully, some better games are on the way. KdBoots (Being generous 3 stars)

For those who can’t get past profile. After you create your profile click on the badge above your profile.

So far the games not bad, as for entering your name to create a profile, click on the badge, it goes right to the next step. No problems. They just don’t give you enough time to play the game before they ask for a review. We played for 5 mins. Let us finish cams then we’ll let you know how it is. But again don’t freak out over the profile, just type in your name and touch the badge..

You have to actually tap the profile button to put in a name.

This game won’t allow you to input your name, and won’t go forward until you do! Duh! We finally got it to take, after we kept tapping the page! Deleting and re downloading didn’t help. So, we finally got to play. Yawn. Boring. No rhyme nor reason for moving from scene to scene. You need to use the map, which will teleport you. The HO scenes are confusing. The mini games we barely got a taste of. We don’t like this series, and this one is the worst of the bunch so far.

We can’t even get into the game. It brings up the create the profile pop up and we put in a name, hit return and nothing. It doesn’t register that we entered anything. It won’t let us continue. So can’t even try the game.

Can’t even get past the Player Name screen. On any of our devices. So. No.

It is not allowing us to set our name. We even tried using "Player" and still nothing happens.

We cannot get past the profile name page!! What do we do?

Just downloaded the free trial. We get to the screen to enter our name and it won’t go past that.

Won’t even allow us to enter a profile name to begin the game….

So, we tried the fix that everyone posted and Thank You so much for the information! The game is what we expected. Many of these games rate to us from a 2 to 3.5. We think Big Fish is willing to pump out quantity and not focus on quality. They need better management to fix these issue. If we were to recommend them to new people? No, we would not. There is something very wrong with this game. Can not even make it across the create a profile. The darn thing wont "create" a profile when we enter in a name. We even deleted and reinstalled. This thing is very defective. Guess you didn’t want everyone to play!

Won’t allow us to create a profile name to play!
