User Reviews on Defend London 3D Lite2

Let us explain why the 1 and 2 star reviews are utter lies. First off, THIS IS A LITE. THAT MEANS ITS A DEMO. Of course its going to have 1 level, because its giving you a taste of whats to come. Second, the controls are NOT stupid and wonky. You just have to practice until you get good at controlling your aircraft, we did and it wasnt hard. Okay, now on to our actual review. First, the graphics are ok. Not great but ok. Second, like we mentioned, the controls are ok as well. You just have to get used to them. And finally, mechanics and AI. The mechanics, such as the hud and AI, are good, if not great. Overall review: Graphics – Controls – or Mechanics and AI – or Overall, this lite/demo does not deserve the hate it gets.

We remember playing this when we were about 8 or 9 and Im 14 now and its pretty bad compared to today but this was made 9 years ago so we guess its not that bad but we remember us as a little kid playing other levels than one. Only a 3 Star Rating becuase childhood reasons.

The plane is so hard to control and WHY IS THERE ONLY ONE FREAKING LEVEL THIS IS A HORRIBLE GAME.

Only one level where you destroy one German Luftwaffer. You have to pay to get any other levels. 3 stars (above average/acceptable)

If we had to defend London they all die it’s hard to kill the other plane.

Fun but hard to keep control of the game.

No control and lacks radar to see where enemy planes are. Total confusion. Not even worth the price of Free. We deleted.

Poorly thought out and poorly implemented. Not even worth the time to download… More interesting to watch paint dry…

Might be a good game is they would fix the controls, plus allow the player to fire the guns instead of constant shooting. Bummer.

The graphics and domain are really good but the motion physics needs work. Moreover the control method(s) and placement really hurt. Pitch (elevator) and roll (aileron) control should be on a larger joystick placed at lower right corner of the screen and work much more smoothly. Control action is gross, making the playing of this game tiring. Speed control should be on a slider on the left and gun control should be a button to the right of the slider. There should also be a way to open up more distance from the enemy aircraft. Perhaps the author should visit a hobby shop and check out a high-end R/C transmitter. If these things are done right, this can be a really popular game. We say this being a programmer myself and having considerable R/C flying experience. DOZ.

It is a fun game from what we can tell, but there are not near enough levels to be sure. We’re not getting the full version.

When we started playing this, we thought I’d really like it. The game play is just what you’d expect. But this lite version is just way too short. After shooting down the one enemy plane, the game is over. No more levels. It’s really just a teaser of the full game.

It’s easy to maneuver the plane.
