Dive into Désiré

Désiré is a poetic point-and-click adventure game in black and white.

When the schoolteacher asks Désiré why he didn’t draw the sun like the other pupils, he replies spontaneously: « It’s always night in my head. »

Désiré is colour-blind from birth and he will lead you into in world of black and white. He marches on hesitantly, as life never brought him much joy. From a tender age, he is going to meet several characters who will elicit in Désiré intense emotions and alter his vision in surprising ways. Is colour at the end of the road?

The game is, at its core, a critique of the modern world and of the perverting nature of a consumer, profit-obsessed society.

The game contains 4 chapters, 50+ scenes, 40+ characters and a lot of riddles.

Find out what gamers are saying about Désiré:

We are a huge fan of point and click adventures. Being a new found lover, we really play the games available for our phone. This one was very enjoyable. It is not suited for any child, but the story and characters are intellectual and interesting. Definitely recommend.

We love this game, the storyline, artwork and concept is very unique. We have played almost all of the point and click adventure games the App Store has to offer and this one would be in our top 10. We hope there will be sequel. Our only issue was with trying to open the safe because it was at the bottom of the screen near the edge, it took a couple tries but it eventually worked, we blame our fat fingers not the developer. Other than that no issues with crashing or anything. 5 stars. Keeping our fingers crossed in hope for a sequel.

Can’t believe it is free. It gaves us a moral lesson and time to think about life.

All you do is wait for the character to walk at a snails pace, and click through a ton of boring dialogue. We deleted it after 10 min of complete boredom.

Display error of simplified Chinese and traditional Chinese.

Starts well but then you get stuck .. Conversation options to advance the game are missing, even going through a walkthrough leaves us stuck in 1992 with no options to move forward. A pity as the story and look of the game are good.

Poorly put together and pretty lewd and inappropriate. Don’t waste your time.

The game was outstanding! We loved the game play and however there were some scenes, that you wish your parents wouldnt want to see, it has a great moral nonetheless. We would love if Dsir would walk faster. ( we know many of the comments include this complaint. ) But other than that, our issues with it are just us nagging. Thank you, not only was it thought-provoking, it was real! However, if you get easily offended, and are sensitive to political and religious stances, we highly advice to; not play this game. Other than that, we cant believe its free!

For some reason, whenever we click ok the interaction selection that says to offer Desires crushs birthday present in her cooking area, it wont allow myself to transfer into the dining hall compared to YouTube walkthrough.

There’s a glitch and we can’t get an appointment with the psychiatrist. Even tried restarting the game, uninstalling and reinstalling the app and still isn’t working.

Its a great game that follows what we expect from a point and click. Definitely covers controversial topics at times. Id call it rated R. Translated from French, not perfect translations but it doesnt get in the way. Great music. Good variety of puzzle types. Sometimes you can get the puzzles easily and some are tricky. Sometimes you cant pick up an object you need because you dont know you need it yet or you cant use it yet. Certain conversations trigger certain objects to become useful. Theres a few walkthroughs out there to help you, some better than others. Final thought, save often (nap sack… Tools… Save… Choose save slot.)

Not sure what to say… We played through 1992 parts. The game is made nicely. Moving around is slow. We did not get any crashes like others have reported. The story on 1992 is strange to say the least. If you are easily offended, this game is a definite no for you.

Either grossly sexist or clueless about how to do satire, disjointed and meaningless, bizarrely toned and poorly written, and wholly unsatisfying. Controls are irritating as well. Dont waste youre money.

The game is way to slow with an story line that wants to be grand and inspiring but fails at both…

Perverted themes including homosexuality, cursing, and lewdness. Deleted pretty quick.

We go to desire’s brother, talk to him, and then get the scopa cards. We go to the living room and the game crashes to the home screen.

Every time after we talk to his brother and go to the living room the game crashes.

We can’t load or start a new game otherwise the app crashes.

It is crashing at the subway station before getting on the train.

Please fix glitch that closes app at the end of the subway scene.

Interesting, though slow, game play. Can’t get past interaction between Homeless Man and Eva. Game keeps crashing and restarting brings us back to the beginning of that scene. Please fix the game!!!

Super bummed.. This game looked really interesting, turns out it’s just overpriced and pretentious.

Crashes a lot. Erases progress every time. Got so frustrated we stopped playing. Not too bothered by it because the story was kind of terrible to begin with.

It’s not even a game, it’s just a bunch of uninteresting text.
