Seriously download this game. Try it. YOU WILL LOVE IT! The only thing we dont like is there isnt 100 different TD games this developer has made because they get it. Only better TD games we’ve played were on flash and well they dont exist anymore lol. So thank you devs and just make more stuff plz!
It is a good arcade like game. Strategy is needed but not overly complicated. Pas the time game.
Im highly opinionated about Tower Defense games – wasnt expecting much from this one based on the profile but it surpassed by expectations! Good game play, right amount of challenge – paid to remove the ads as well, which was worth it. Have been going back to complete all levels in both modes.
Its and amazing game but for any new players dont collect the relics immediately because we did that immediately after and we couldnt finish the level In the first area so we had to restart so be wary.
Love this game so much – please make more levels. Such a fun time!
A different take on TD that keeps it interesting.
This game is clearly a labor of love. Far from any pay to play/pay to win garbage that many other developers seem to think is acceptable. That sort of business first, game play second… If ever mentality. The devs respect the intelligence of theyre users, never forcing any hidden ads or purchases onto them. The in game currency, diamonds, are completely unnecessary for completing the game and definite after thought tacked onto a fully functional game. We see a previous reviewer said Good until you have to pay The sentiment of a moron. We’ve beaten this game 3times without needing to spend a penny. The only thing diamonds might be required for is the achievement unlocked after surviving to wave 20 in survival mode.. Even that we think it might be possible to conquer with solid strats. This game is awesome, our favorite mobile game. We strongly recommend it to anyone that enjoys strategic games.

After our great grandmother passed away yesterday we have been filled with grief. That is until we found this masterpiece. Every ounce of sperm left our body after we beat the tutorial level. Now we are planning to work for NASA to explore the depths of space and time, so we can find the words to describe this game.

Im giving it 5 stars because its better than 95% of the tower defense games out there. Kingdom Rush is the king of tower defense, but this is probably in the top 3 that we’ve played, and we’ve tried tons. The towers themselves are well done, upgrade trees make sense, and the game play is unique and interesting. The digging down and creating your own path makes for a fun change to the tower defense genre. For a free game, the simple ad banner at the bottom and lack of constant ads (as in, we havent watched a single ad in this game ever) is a refreshing and much appreciated change. Our only negative critique is that its a little too easy. Im over 80% of the way through the game and we havent had to try any level more than twice to three star it. The variety of enemies is lacking, though the enemies we’ve encountered so far are well thought out and each represents a specific challenge for your towers. We are finding this game many years after its release, but given how hard it is to find decent tower defense games, we felt obligated to write a review and hopefully convince others that this one is worth a spin.
Fun TD with solid replay value.
We gave up on this game a few years ago because they didnt properly support phones with a notch, but theyve since fixed that. And playing it again, we remembered why it was so great. Its got a simple twist (building the path gradually) that makes a difference, instead of loading it up with a bunch of useless novelty ideas. Its well balanced and fun to play. You can watch ads or spend money if you want, but you can get the same benefits by grinding a bit more instead, and the monetization never gets intrusive. Its not perfect. The early levels are too easy, so you dont get a sense of the strategic choices right away. The graphics and sound are pretty rudimentary. But those are minor complaints; this is a great game that blows away most of the more recent competitors.

Fantastic TD game, doesnt shove video ads in your face. Optionally you can watch them for more crystals at the end of a match but we honestly havent used the crystals at all. Just a fun and chill TD game. Download it, you wont be disappointed! Its fun, Its free, minimal/no video ads, and it passes the time!
Its honestly a good game one of the reasons that makes its good is that theres ZERO pop up adds, only banner adds.
We’ve loved tower defense games ever since bloons TD 1 came out. Now, 15 years later, we still struggle to find TD games as good as the bloons series. Digfender is simple but one of the best TD games we’ve played in years. So far, the gameplay feels pretty balanced and the unlockables keep us going. More importantly, it doesnt shove ads down our throat and its not pay to play. We feel its longevity is short due to lack of content but definitely worth a try. 10/10 recommend.

I’d give this game 5 stars except for one annoying bug. Upgrades are displayed on a layer above the mission select screen, but when you try to scroll and explore upgrade options, it clicks and starts a mission on the mission select screen below. Driving us so nuts it’s worth it to come complain about it here. Otherwise a pretty good tower defense with not too much pressure to buy consumables.
We really enjoy this game. Power to the developers. We found we couldn’t much further than stage 16 before it became necessary to purchase upgraded options to continue. This would be less of a problem if the prices were not so high. We believe the cheapest upgrade we could make was a $3.99 chunk of diamonds, which we quickly blew through trying to advance. We believe the castle upgrades start at $5.99 which is getting unreasonable in our opinion. So rather than drop additional money, we’ll have to let the game go.
We love this gameplaying it hours a day. And the number of ads isnt badatleast they let you finish a round. BUT this company needs to be more careful about who provides the ads. We keep having to watch the trailer for Primitive Era which starts with a light-hearted rape scene. Hello! Lots of us out here dont want to watch a woman being raped between rounds, ok? Does not improve our playing experience, to put it mildly.
We love this game. The mechanics are the best take on tower defense we’ve ever seen. 18 out of 5 stars just in terms of concept. However, there’s not much replay value after you finish all the levels. Survival mode is way too hard and we think we’ve hit the limits on what you can accomplish without spending a ton of money on diamonds. It’s a shame the developers have pretty much abandoned this game. It desperately needs an endless mode. Without all the insane tanks destroying your towers. Let us build a giant endless maze. Also, a custom level creator/editor would be so cool. Imagine you could create and share levels, you’d never get bored. This game has inspired us to take up game development so we can shamelessly rip off the concept and add what we want.
Towers should level up quicker. We often end rounds with extra gold and a bunch of towers that arent maxed out. If towers level up faster, enemies can be harder too.
Level of difficulty increases rapidly, even final level of first set impossible without diamonds. Regret buying no ad, just try to get through 15 levels without. Hidden p2p strikes again. Boo.
We like this game so far but we bought the remove add thing for $1.99 and not only was we charged the $1.99 we agreed to but we were also charged an extra $4.99. Be careful buying anything for this game.
It was fun for a while until we realized that its absolutely no chance in winning unless you pay for extra cash to upgrade your weapons. Its an excellent game but a scam so one star for that.
We dont mind in app purchases but we wont put up with advertisements on the screen while you play. Accidentally hitting the add all the time.

Its been awhile, but finally a TD game worth playing. Wish there were more quality TD games like this one!!!
We designed, directed abd produced takes fir 26 years and we are a huge fan of the TD genre, having played 50-60 off the better TD takes abd having mastered the top 10 or so. This is an excellent and well balanced TD take that is fun and very well Balanced. It has a unique hook with a side view orientation and a digging mechanic used to gain loot and that becomes the enemy path. It is possible to grind repeated levels to Max all levels and gain all Stars, Maps, Tokens and Upgrades. But we bought a $5 IAP to support the devs and to get past the first choke point. We highly recommend this game and will watch out for new games by these developers.

This game is really good. We love TD games and this one is really good. Definitely play it if your looking for a good game that isnt too hard but also not too easy.
Really fun strategy game. Unobtrusive Ads and game play can be enjoyed without being forced to pay for advancement. If you have a newer iPhone, the Ads are positioned at the bottom, so your thumb will hit the banner sometimes interrupting the game. You cannot see the crystal count because its positioned at the top and is blocked by the phones speaker/forward viewing camera. Although premium features are expensive, playing the game using the free options, is very much doable, but more challenging. The developers should add 70 more levels based on similarities found in the current levels and reward players with access to some of the premium features. Overall, great game.
Great game as expected. But google ads are covering the screen and it is not compatible with iphone 12 pro.
We used to love this game – havent played in a while and decided to open it up and Im not sure if this is the result of an update or if its because phones have changed since the last time we played but the row up top showing how much gold/emeralds you have isnt visible because of the iPhone screen layout. The bottom with your diamonds and power ups is visible most of the time but sometimes gets obscured by ads. We dont know what happened but please fix it! It makes it impossible to plan how to use your resources when you dont know how much you have!
The ads and the iPhone top screen notch block important information in the game. You cant see the amount of gems you have and the ad blocks the cost of diamonds for the spells.
We love a good tower defense, but none of them are dynamic in the same way as Digfender. The ability to choose your own path, and make key decisions about resource gathering depending on the unique challenge of each level has kept us playing (even going as far as to redownload and start from scratch). However, we have to take off two stars (for now) because of a bug that makes the game screen expand past the bezel of our phone (iPhone 11, iOS14.4) making it impossible to play when you cant even see how much crystal or broken pieces you have in stock. If this gets fixed, the game would be perfect!
