This game is the one game that if you don’t usually spend or like to spend $ on in game purchases, it doesnt matter. Love that there are side missions along with specific missions in the game that allow you to unlock different characters. AND if you go through that characters story (which besides from the main storyline, every other character to unlock has their own storyline so there is much to do) you can unlock that characters special weapon & armor that they use in Final Fantasy. Overall this game is our favorite phone game to play and we don’t see myself getting bored of it any time soon. Highly recommended for phone gamers!!
Games are coming out with weird new gacha systems unlike the systems of the old. DFFOO makes every character easy to acquire, but they require gear to be viable. We enjoy the game as there are many different battles despite not having a huge bestiary and varying difficulties and strategies. This game is either EXTREMELY p2w or COMPLETELY f2p. Most character requires all their weapons maxed to be truly viable. That is a low CP and a high CP weapon+an EX weapon for some. Each draw bracket gives you an EX weapon for one char and weapons for 2 other chars. If you draw with a full 75k gems, you will get at least 1 EX weapon, and be guaranteed 1 EX weapon through exchange system, and be able to max the 2 weapons for at least 2 characters. So one draw can give you 2 or 3viable characters, and one has a maxed EX. Completing all the base content will allow you to do a full draw about 3 times. So you can get 9 viable characters, which can get you through most of the endgame event content depending on who you drew for. All you have to do is play. The events do not give as much in terms of gems and summon tickets. 3 tickets per task and a hundred gemz and only 500 for the hardest clear. Maybe 30 tickets and 3000 gems per event. 75k gems is 165 draws. But tickets don’t guarantee 5*, so you should probably expect to use around 200 tickets just to get an EX; but you’ll need more if you want to get the other weapons also, as well as enough to max them out. So tickets are a lot more costly than gems. We’re guessing around 400 or 500 to get similar results. After you use your initial gems, it’ll be a lot harder to do full draws, so you really have to be choosy with who you draw for, or cash…. It costs $75 to get 17k gems on the best deal. So it costs A TON to buy only one set of draws. The free draws you got IS enough to get you through the game. Just know you would have to whale if you want everything. Most of the gameplay content comes in the form of events. There is usually a "dungeon" event that last 2 weeks, and a co-op event that lasts 2 weeks. The events do not rotate on the same week, so there is always something fresh. Dungeon events are straight forward, you get to end and attempt to score high on the final, difficult challenge, and you’re done. The co-op event requires farming the same stage with random people or friends for event currency to trade for items, and this is where you will spend a lot of your time. The farming can get repetitive, but the battle changes biweekly. That said, there isn’t an online game that doesn’t have repetition in some way. DFFOO isn’t tiring for us. More casual players can still enjoy the game. When we were new we used our tickets to draw for EX weapons and was able to clear most of the events, and only could not get the endgame rewards. You can still earn all the other upgrade materials like crystals at a lower rate. It will just take longer to get your characters to max potential, but the journey should be fun.

This has been a game we’ve stuck with since its launch, and its been a wonderful time all around. It takes the turn mechanics of FFX and combines them with the BRV/HP mechanics of Dissidia. Beyond that, it also utilizes almost EVERY FF game to date, which in our opinion is amazing! Its absolutely amazing to see how the characters from other series interact with each other while staying true to who they were in the game! Also, this game is regarded as a gacha game at the end of the day, so be prepared to spend gems on rolling for your favorite units! But thats the beauty of it, as new characters roll out and events come up, we have ways of getting summon tickets. What these do is they give FTP players a chance to fully experience the game without spending a dime, we know we havent! Of course with every gacha game, be prepared to roll an account, a secondary account, a tertiary account, then reroll each and every one of those countless times until you get the EX weapons youre looking for! (That was a joke, you dont actually have to reroll at all.) Did we mention theres no farcical stamina mechanic in this game? You play the game as many times as you want, as long as you want. Wonderful job, Square! Ill be keeping this one on each and every mobile device we get for years to come!
So, usually when you download games on your phone, there are some times where you really, really, REALLY want to summon a person you want. But with this game, let us tell you, you dont get to summon them. All your favorite characters from Final Fantasy are free, and they come in the chapters in the story. Some characters, however, are in events only there for a limited time, but they return in Lost Chapters to stay permanently. So you dont have to worry about getting angry at the game for not giving you the person you want. In this game, you have to summon weapons, and there are these EX weapons that give your character an extra skill that is really powerful and neat; however, they are quite hard to get. But even without an EX weapon, your character can still be equally as powerful with leveling them up with crystals and chocobo feathers. Sometimes you dont even have to summon a 5 star weapon – if you complete a characters lost chapter or their event, then you can get their weapon and their armor. They are also available to exchange for a certain amount of tokens. The music is also really nice, and it features some of your favorite Final Fantasy songs. The character models are absolutely adorable and sometimes they even have alternate costumes! (For a price, unfortunately.) Overall, this is the best game we’ve played on mobile, and we would recommend it to anyone who is into Final Fantasy or wants a great game. Thank you, DFFOO for being a wonderful game!
We love the game we just wish they would make the ex abilities different like terras and kuja when you use them they change like they did in the game kuja turned into the red monkey and terra into the Ancient.
This is a not pay to win game love the system and de design spend hours and money for clothes (optional) keep the great work.
Kimahri is gonna be here, things have been running smoothly. Very impressed with improvements to global over jp. Like the accept all option for rewards! Wish we could get more coop stuff to do on a regular. Like a chapter dedicated to coop completions.
We love the game and everything about it. We feel like in order to make the game better for newer players getting into the game (or for people who lost their accounts, those playing catch up), new things should be implemented. First, we would like to see Cycle Quest LVL 60 for all shard colors that would help grind for those high crystal shards instead of just for specific characters unlock events/lost chapters. Also, for those newer players who missed out on older characters, like Gilgamesh and Sephiroth, more than one lost chapter should be released at a time. Other than that, great game all around.
Is theres something wrong with the app? When ever we’ve open the app it just crash back to home screen.
Game crashes immediately when we try to open, not working on latest version iOS 12.3.1.

We cant pick our own character we want to be cloud but it always defaults to some other guy we HATE IT.
It was only one year unti the gameplay was really without anycrash.. But now .. After new screen loading and when we try to pick a on the friend list..! Keeps crashing on ipad2 and iPhone 6 Plus too.. It’s a dream to play one move!
We’ve grown up playing most of the Final Fantasies starting with 7 and staying close to console ones mostly. Glad to see SE bring them all together and even bring the ones we lost back from the dead! Most of all, you dont have to pay to get strong characters because theres so many opportunities to get really good gear, you just have to put the work in for them. Unfortunately we lost our data due to switching phones and forgetting to transfer data before erasing the old phone. Looking forward to grinding even harder to get past where we were!!

Normally Im not a mobile game player however we stumbled across this game by accident. Its like playing a classic turn based Final Fantasy game! The game has far exceeded our expectations. We never expected it to be so good. The story is great and you get to play as classic heroes and villains alike! Normally we dont pay to play in games like these however we couldnt help myself with this one. The best part about it all is that you dont need to pay to win. You can win playing for free. Great game! Please keep up the great work!
Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia is the best Mobile Final Fantasy game out there (minus the mobile ports of mainline FF titles). Better than Brave Exvius, Record Keeper, Mobius, etc. The combat is great, the characters are amazing, the upgrade systems are intuitive, and the gatcha system will have you taking money from your life savings just to get that sweet sweet EX for your favorite characters! Final Fantasy fans beware… You WILL become addicted!
We’ve probably played 100s of phone games and this is by far our favorite. No cash grabbing, the free stuff feels like it gets you by. They have cosmetics you can buy, but you also get the same value of premium currency with it anyways. We wasnt necessarily a FF fan coming into this game, we were a KH fan who became a cloud fan who became a FF7/crisis core fan then decided to play this game. This game made us a FF fan.
If you like final fantasy, this is your guy. Free and withstands the test of time. Been playing for months almost every day.

Very fun game. One of the best RPGs and if you play a lot never feels TOO pay to win. Just requires lots of planning for teams and LOTS of daily play. Can not miss any events or trials.
There is 0, ZERO, reason we’ve spent over 80,000 gems and dont have a SINGLE EX weapon! How am we supposed to play the endgame material if we cant compete? PLEASE fix this!!!!
Okay, the obvious out of the way. This game is amazing. All of the characters, weapons, gear, etc. Setting up teams that are just amazing. Classic turn style combat system. We like the bravery cross hp system. Adds depth.. The story mode is extremely long and also provides a hard mode once you complete chapters. The game is just amazing as we said before. The only true frustration is the banners and pulls with gems. As you play the game you collect gems.. Gems offer you the ability to try and win gear that gives characters EX abilities (IE Clouds Meteor Rain) However, actually getting these weapons or gear is ridiculously hard. To get a banner pull, you need 5000 gems… Now once you complete quest, its no way to retry or redo quest to get more gems. You just have to move on to the next quest. On average you receive 100 gems per quest. Of course its other ways to get gems, but overall its not possible to farm gems. Now that we have completed the entire story quest. Gems are hard to get. So you look in the store and notice that gems are outrageously priced. 10,000 gems plus a few items cost you 36.99!!!! Real cash!!!! Thats only two pulls! Some banners it takes like 5-6 pulls just to get that one EX weapon you want! On Lightnings banner to get her EX weapon it took us 6 pulls , thats 30,000 gems… If the gems in the shop were priced differently it wouldnt be to ridiculous. Like 10,000 gems for 5 dollars seem more reasonable considering the amount of tries it take to get the ex weapon you desire. Out of the 75 characters we’ve unlocked, we have only 4 EX weapons and we may have spent 500k gems on banners…. Square needs to make some of these EX weapons more accessible or allow for regen gems on quest with new objectives to meet. Other than that, the game is addictive, the story quest, the banner fights, online co-op is super fun, and the enemies are fun to play against typically. We advise anyone who is a Final Fantasy fan to put in the time and enjoy this game. Just be ready to understand that EX weapons are hard to get and have low expectations and enjoy what you get and utilize your friend list as best as possible.
We loved this game, but between the ridiculous prices for draws, and the fact that we were stuck despite doing everything including looking up a strategy on one level pretty much permanently. We could NOT get past it! Plus, we hate the BRV system, and the fact that our friends characters are only available for 3 turns, and theres no way to heal, other than certain characters. Its very flawed, and later levels are FAR from enjoyable, mainly from the draw prices. Even their sales are 2500 gems! It feels p2w, so we’ve removed it. Dunno if Ill get it back. FFRK is better than this!
Sudden jump in difficulty and even out leveling and equipping an enemy doesnt help.
In all honesty, the core concept of the game is rather brilliant. The turn based combat is a welcome breath of fresh air, and the characters are all memorable from their respective roles in former Final Fantasy games; however, that is the extent of praise that can be levied on this game. Unfortunately, this game is another clear example of a game that relies far too heavily on gambling concepts in order to make money. The practice is predatory, and this game does not have any sense of monetary value for the goods supplied. If the odds were sensible, the game would be far improved, but as it stands now, it preys upon the wallets of whales and feels empty and void of reason for continued play beyond the scope of money wasted on the statistically false hope of great pulls. With that being said, it is not recommended to get too involved in this game. There is little motivation or passion in this project, and the business practices on display here are a clear indication of that fact. Sadly, this project seems to be beyond hope as of the time of this review. Stay far away.

The game itself is a lot of fun but these EX drop rates are abysmal. We uninstalled after our 13th straight 10+1 draw with no EX. What a waste of time.
Phones like the iphone XS max can easily handle something better than a model with a low res wallpaper on it. Please improve these. Final fantasy has been know for how detailed characters look. Even though it follows a more chibi style it could still becleaned up. Make it look more 3D.
Okay so at first we didnt think that this was a good game and then once we started the game it is a great game because you can get bad guys into the air and the do some bravery attacks and then do an hp attack to finish him off. So thanks for all the hard work guys keep up the great work up .(ps) please make some new pvp games and please give us back wwe immortals because we have really wanted it for a long time . (Thanks)
So, we normally do not write reviews for App Store games- but boy, is this one a keeper. We started playing this last year; our boyfriend introduced us to it and to this day we are still playing it. They constantly update the app, and host streams for upcoming content! You can spend money or you do not have to at all. We’ve been able to fully mlb multiple characters without spending a dime. This game deserves the numerous 5 star ratings and we can not wait for future updates! (Lilisette awakening, and kuja awakening) also, Squall is the master farmer and you can not change our mind. C;
We’ve been playing this game for quite some time, and have been a fan of the series since the first one back in the day on our grandmother’s NES. This game captures the feel of the modern final fantasy while bringing back heavy feels of nostalgia. Having access to so many characters and different battle options really fleshes out the experience. The only thing that we wish existed was a PvP mode, to see who’s really got the optimal team style, but overall we enjoy playing this game, and have not spent one dime on it. The in app purchases are an extra hand, but there’s not too much grind required for advancement in the early game and you’ll be able to level up faster than you think. We would spend money on this game, but we grind at a moderate rate so we almost don’t feel the need to buy anything. We don’t give many 5’s but this game has earned it.
The gameplay itself is great… But the time you put into grinding to get enough gems to do a multi draw just to get a bunch of useless 3-Star items and a one 5-star item that you already have ten of… Kind of a slap to the face…
The brave system is stupid and ruins the game.
Used to be a huge fan of the company supporting most any of the series they put out. Was super excited about this game as well and have been playing since release. We purchase all the costumes and spend pretty generous. Last month a glitch occurred during a purchase that made the game unplayable for a time. After finally resolving the issue to relog back in, the investigation team looked into the missing purchased items, finding no issues. This is a month after we had made the purchase and the event we had done so expiring. It took apple less than a day to see the issue and refund our purchase. This is how you make p2w fans delete your games.
Love the game! Brings so much memories of lots FF games. Lots of favorite characters!!! We wonder how it compares to PS4 Version. If it is as good, we would buy a ps4 just to play!
We tried getting our data back with Facebook but it was the Facebook wrong account so we canceled it and it took us back to the in-game home screen and when we tried it again just to see if there was an option to switch Facebook accounts the whole link would be blocked up with "continue" or "cancel" and we cant request to use the desktop site either because of some "popup being to small" nonsense. We really hope the team can fix this bug because we really enjoy playing this game.(literally what got us into final fantasy)

They give alot of stuff for being new. It’s the standard turn based final fantasy game. You can earn all the characters and don’t have to summon for them. You have to summon the weapons but every multi summon guarantees a five star weapon. They hand three free multis for playing the first little bit of the game. So you’ll most likely have three characters with amazing weapons. Your party is comprised of three characters so there you go. It seems to be ftp friendly as well which awesome. You never see games do that. The animation and combat are great too. We have no complaints so far. Definitely one of the best mobile games you’ll play for awhile.
The graphics are good, and turned based style dissidia. The weapon rolls seem to be fairer for a gotcha system. Needs to have the iCloud system.
Packed to the brim with injokes and shoutouts for FF fans like myself, and very playable even as F2P. Personally we find the prices for anything actually meaningful to be absurd, as with most of these games, but since its entirely possible to make good progress without spending a dime, jump in and have fun.
The game is as good as the first time we played. Today we got Ceres and her ex weapon & OMG! She is so awesome! We were waiting for her for ages so When we saw her banner we were in the clouds because she is our favorite female character in all of FF. So thank you square! But theres one more thing! Considering that Celes is so strong & beautiful we would really love to see her in Dissidia nt as well! Our friends agree with this idea too. So It would be pretty awesome to play as her in Dissidia nt too. Us and our friends would be really happy if that happens , so please square! Add her in D nt as well!
