Isometric view with 360 degree turnaround is revolutionary for this platform. Honestly its made other games unplayable because its so good !

Think of this game as a grand open-ended story-puzzle. Its manificent! More please.

This is a miracle port. But the battery drain and thermal problems are such a bummer. We wish we could return and purchase on our steam deck.

After we replaced the hard disk(from 64GB to 1TB) for our iPad Pro(2018), this game cannot start any more, we got a dialog your specific ipad model is not supported by divinity.

We hope you can port more 3A games on your iPad. We will buy them.

It’s amazing that this game was ported over to iPad, and it’s such a good storyline. But touch controls, unfortunately, are a bit clumsy. If you have on PC, plays smoother there.

Updated our star rating after newest update! Game runs once again! Thank you!

We can play more and more 3A games on iPad, thx Apple.

This game is awesome. It is a big battery draw but its by far the most complete recent rpg game on the iPad. Purchasing is a no brainer. Provides hundreds of hours of gameplay. 5 stars.

Its a real game! Its a port but its a real game. Gives us hope that we will start getting more current titles in the App Store. Runs great on the m1 iPad.

Great game. Played it for years on pc. How do we get multiplayer to connect, ipad version refuses to connect to anyone else either when we try to play with our niece or randos. Someone please help as we have found nothing online.

This is probably the most well done AAA port to iPad ever. Seamless save transfers to steam as well. More important than all that, the game itself is a masterpiece.

Best game ever made for iPad Pro 11 inch!

A masterpiece of a game, want to badly give it 5 stars, but for some strange reason dev provided partial apple pen support. (I use apple pencil 2nd gen) very odd decision. Ergonomically speaking, way more comfortable using apple pen. This game SCREAMS for apple pencil support, because of the tablet form factor and how in the game.. We tap things, to do things.. Clearly match made in heaven with apple pencil. Some of the benefits: – precise aiming when making selections – get to things quicker – less stress on joints, wrist when playing for hours – improves very relaxing segments (try playing outside by campfire – super fun, and relaxing if had apple pencil support) – huge quality of life overall improvements. THE APPLE PENCIL (2nd Gen) ISSUES: tapping on some elements with apple pencil works, but other elements it wont work, example: trying select conversation wont work, have to use our finger. Tap on the screen with apple pencil so character can move to said location it wont work, have to use finger. There are many more which are easy to recreate, just try playing with apple pencil and the issues will immediately become apparent Extremely hit & miss with apple pencil. Please dev fix this, this is a classic masterpiece, give it the apple pencil support it deserves.

At first we didnt really like it after a few hours of playing Im starting to enjoy it. But we didnt pay $25 for a game that crashes randomly like what!!!! Fix this we were about to win a 10 minute fight.

Thanks to Larian for fixing the newer iPad iOS 16 issues. The game is performing well now on our iPad Pro 11 M2. Feedback : It would be helpful to essentially create an ESC key by default for Magic Keyboard users. The upper right ` key seems perfect. Took about 20 mins to figure out how to assign it to bring up and dismiss the in-game menu.

Great game so far. Minus one star for lack of pen support. If we can use our fingers why cant we use the pen?

The great is a great experience. Love the story and different variations based on character. There are a few bugs when it comes to the iPad: occasionally touch becomes unresponsive for about 15 seconds, sometimes you hav to turn the camera angle to be able to highlight something, occasional lag. The one feature they really need to add is the ability to create custom characters from the start of the game by yourself, not relying on someone else to join your game. This is a feature that has been requested for years and they blatantly ignore it.

Great game, but controls arent well dialed in. We will frequently (more than 50% of the time) have to press a button numerous times to get it to respond, or do what we want. Proud of myself for not mashing our finger through the screen.

Game wouldnt start after first download, reinstall appears to fix the issue. Will report back after playing for a bit. Excited to dig into this one on here either way!

Cant find the option for controller working on iPad, however it says controller supported.

Brand new M2 iPad Pro 12.9 1TB – Battery drops ~50% / hour. It would be nice if there were a few options to tame the graphics or kill effects for better battery life. We think at its current drain rate, it is possible to damage your iPad battery if you play a lot. Our iPad was also pretty darn hot after a short while. There are issues when using keyboard shortcuts to open menus. You’ll lose mouse input. The only way we’ve figured how to get it back is to go out of the game to the iPad home screen then go back into game using the mouse. While we prefer to play games with a mouse and keyboard, we tried using just touch controls and they are honestly pretty bad. Its hard to select items (seems you can almost never tap what you are trying to). OK, all that bad stuff outta the way, we AM so glad they ported this game to iPad. While still rough around the edges, it does show other devs that newer iPads are pretty capable gaming devices (I mean, for something this portable its pretty cool). We will certainly update our review as updates improve things.

This is a fantastic RPG. But the touch controls are frustrating. We have to try repeatedly to perform actions at times, like dragging items in our inventory, activating a skill.

The Steam login comes up too much and we cant get past it unless we detach the iPad from the Magic Keyboard. Not a good start.

Crashing on the start up with the shader generation. Reinstalled and finally got past that and then crashing on various menus. Finally got in game and crashed at beginning of the game when synchronizing storage. Too many headaches playing this.

We are a real-time strategy guy but this game looked so good we figured we give it a try. Graphics are excellent. But we failed badly. Couldnt get out of the tutor because we could not open the doors. We found 1 key and it opened 1 door. Could not seem to use it for the other doors and could not find anymore keys. So we are already stuck. Almost bought it on Steam for PC. Probably should have as there are a lot of tutors on Steam. Hey Larian Studios. Help us with this and we will change our rating. Thanks.

Plugged to 33w fast charger and still loosing battery. IPad Pro 11 2022. Drain 100% of the battery in one hour a half. This is insane. Cant recommend. For sure damaging to the battery to drain that fast.

Shouldnt allow purchase and download on incompatible devices before accepting payment. Shameful on Apples part.

The App Store says it can run on our 9th generation iPad, and we’ve updated it to the latest IOS. It still says it cant run on it. We cant refund the game, so could you help us out here.

Apple store says this runs on our iPad. Paid for and downloaded to discover that it does not.

Theres an error that refuses to allow sign-on with Steam and Larian Studios.

Ojal y salgan mas jugos como este para iPad.

Basically until now we havent seen anything better out there for turn based classic games the fact the creatures managed to bring this to we OS platform is crazy couple of year ago you needed a PC to play this now we are playing it on IPAD !!

It has great story and nice combat experience, and if you like CRPG, this would be your cup of tea.

The hot bar is a bit of a challenge to use because of its proximity to the app switching bar at the bottom of the screen on iPad. If there was a way to move it a little or disable the home bar zone in the iPads settings the game would be close to perfect.

Im playing on a 2020 12.9 iPad Pro (1 generation before M1). The game runs pretty well. In battle scenes where a lot of things explode we definitely drop quite a few frames but its not a deal breaker. This is the great game you remember it being. One of the best rpgs of all time if you ask us. We absolutely recommend playing with a touchpad or mouse, its how the game was originally intended to be played and its what worked best for us and the other people we know who play it. The touch controls work and we can tell they spent a lot of time making it function properly but its definitely a cleaner experience with a trackpad or mouse. Now we just need to get other game studios to buy in and put things on iPad. The game is one of the most expensive on the AppStore but its worth it and the fact its been near the top of the RPG charts since it released proves there is money to be made.

Not just the best RPG ever made for iOS, but the best computer RPG ever. Period.

Our iPad is listed on the list of compatible devices, but it crashed a couple of times upon initial start. Even after rebooting our iPad, it still wont start: gets stuck on the Steam cross- save dialog. Not happy at all. UPDATE: it turns out that the game was crashing because of the Logitech Folio Touch keyboard connected to our iPad. After deleting the game, reinstalling, disconnecting the keyboard, and starting the game with no keyboard attached, everything seems ok now, even after re-connecting the keyboard. So if anyone if having the same issue, try to disconnect any peripheral upon initial start.

This game is great when it works. We are running the game on the latest 12.9 M1 iPad Pro so it should run great. Every once in a while though the game will crash on start up while it is generating the shader cache and if it does crash during this start up it is impossible to reopen the game without an instant crash. Restarting the ipad does not help we have had this happen to us four times already, every time we have had to delete the game and reinstall completely. Thankfully we have been backing up saves through iCloud, but this is very annoying. This game would be absolutely perfect in our opinion if not for this issue.

The game itself is amazing. However, trying to play with touch is frustrating. You have to have a controller or keyboard and mouse to really enjoy this and we’ve had issues with the mouse changing from the game cursor to the iPad cursor so the game stops responding or it shows both and the controls are off and only responds half of the time. It REALLY needs Apple Pencil support. If that could be just treated like another finger as opposed to it responding but not selecting anything that would make this port immensely better.

Except for one time, we have not been able to start the game. Wont get passed the launch screen. After a 2 hour session, saved and went to play again later that same day- app wont even launch. Is this a problem with DOS2 or with iOS 16. Either way, disappointing for a much-hyped game that cost $24. 3-Stars because the 2 hours we were able to play were promising.

The touch interface for the game is such that at best it means you spend more time scrolling and moving the environment than playing the game, and at worst means the game becomes unplayable. It looks good and the depth of the underlying system seem impressive, but the game play on an iPad without a controller is painful and laborious.

Wont load on 2021 iPad Pro 12.9.

The game load the first time after downloaded, stops the loading bar in the middle, then crashed. Unable to even open the game after that. We want correction of this issue or reimbursement.

Please don’t tell us we just wasted $16 on this. It opened once, the loading bar got stuck halfway thru and now it just shows us a black screen before closing out every time we attempt to open the game.
