Chess is a two-player strategy board game played on a chessboard, a checkered gameboard with 64 squares arranged in an eight-by-eight grid. It is one of the world's most popular games, played by millions of people worldwide in homes, parks, clubs, online, by correspondence, and in tournaments.
Each player begins the game with 16 pieces: one king, one queen, two rooks, two knights, two bishops, and eight pawns. Each of the six piece types moves differently. Pieces are used to attack and capture the opponent's pieces, with the objective to 'checkmate' the opponent's king by placing it under an inescapable threat of capture. In addition to checkmate, the game can be won by the voluntary resignation of the opponent, which typically occurs when too much material is lost, or if checkmate appears unavoidable.

Very fabulous and fantastic game regardless of cheaters when we about to win and all of a sudden we have been disconnected. But since 2022 we had been playing well and its amazing. We just wish we can add friends and able to chat, even inside the app, if request is accepted then thus we can connect to all over the world. Gracias.

We love this game and this interface. There are just too many cheaters though. We wish there was a way to filter out those using an engine without it affecting our ELO. Would be nice if there was a way to report cheaters and have their accounts suspended like on Chess.com. Great job otherwise. Also from time to time sore losers use the disconnect cheat to make you lose.

It has lots of hackers like we did our first move and he made same move and we somehow lost but the game is pretty good it should allow you to play with friends though and the leader board should go to top 1000 but the game is pretty good we recommend it.
We like the game but it seems certain players have advantages and games or disconnected. We just keep starting over.
Once we were playing chess, we got a checkmate, we were trapped, if we moved forward the knight would eat us and then the queen was next to us, like in regular chess, we could have ate the queen, but then it said checkmate.
The app is nice but we need it to give the option to export our games in any format so we can analyze them using chess engines and review our mistakes and improve our chess.
Out of the 1000+ games we have played, maybe a dozen times or so, a player is obviously beaten, then we get a message youve been disconnected and it is recorded as a loss. It has only happens under these circumstances so obviously these people have found a way to cheat. Other games have a way to report cheaters, this one doesnt. Also, the audio for the game plays through our ringer volume and the adds through our regular audio. The sound off selection under settings mutes neither one. We have to turn our ringer off and volume all the way down if we want to play in silence. Could be a simple but great game.
Level 1 computer cheats so much. Pretty level 1 is level 33. Annoying, not fair chess.
The Computer can castle but the player cant. Thats dumb.
We signed up and it comes up as someone else. We cant change it. No options to log out or change user name.
The app sometimes Disconnects and then you lose the game..While playing the game the phone screens gets timeout and the also you loose the fame.we lost nearly 200-300 points because of this technical issues.Overall game is Good it would be great if it has options to play with friends.
You allow people to cheat repeatedly.When your about to win these but cracks use cheats. Fix it or Im done with this b/s. We can see Im not the only one whos been getting cheated from your reviews.
Overall the game is very fun and speed focused chess is played. However it would be a nice addition to add a friends list and also make different game times available. The biggest problem with this app is that theres a glitch that if you close out of the app mid game it wont deduct points from your chess rating, when people do this, and plenty of players do, its blatant cheating and throws off the rating system of a lot of the players you come across. If this simple glitch could be fixed Id give the app a higher rating. Like 4.5 stars if that was an optiob.
Recently there was an update that made the board look a lot more cartoon-ish. Before you actually saw almost a 3-D like view of the pieces where they actually were PIECES . Now its just weird . Bring back the old look . Back to chess.com we go.
Players are some how disconnecting and causing a lose for the opponent instead of them!! This is very frustrating! Its now happened 6 times.
Level one is almost idnticos to level 20 developers put no thought into game0 stars.
We just took someones queen within 3 moves and then all of a sudden the screen flashes lose. So we thought that meant he resigned and lost but no, we go to our stats and we now have a losing streak instead of a winning streak. This apps been around how long and they havent figured this out? Dont waste your time building up stats on this app. Anybody can cheat like this. It happened to us within our 4th game.
We never get disconnected when Im down material; its always when we have mate imminently – this has happened since the new stability update. Might wanna roll it back or find out why this bug is happening.
We play this game every day for hours, and as of lately theres games Im able to continue play and it POPS UP LOSE. Its really frustrating can this issue be resolved please and thank you.

Something went wrong with this app. We turned the volume off and its blaring loud!! How annoying especially at night when people are sleeping! We tried turning our volume down and completely off and still its kind n full blast! Whats up? If it continues we will stop using this app.

Our app is messed up and l would like to rest it, how can we do that.
Include a Social System in which you can play online with your friends and family.
Overall the app is good and great, although it needs to have a competiton or tournament.
It would be nice if we can invite our friends for a game.
Nice chess app but There a way you can win every game.
If youre a beginner and looking to play engines, the engines on Dr. Chess are not beginner friendly. Id say the Level 1 engine is probably 1300 rating, makes few blunders, and is largely unforgiving for new players.
Its just chess. So nothing special aside from the game. Sometimes while playing our screen goes black just for a second and when we click back in we just automatically lose. Whats with that? Ive lost 3 games just because the game bugs out on us and theres nothing we can do.
Updated app and the pieces no longer appear 3 dimensional.
Can someone explain the rating system of this? There are some matches where we get higher points if our opponent abandons the game rather than if we win by outright checkmate. How does that make any goddamn sense.
Certain times it wont let us move these stupid pieces.
The game needs better graphics, but in general very good.
The game purposefully wont let us make certain moves and we dont understand why. We may not be a chess god or anything but we know well enough how the pieces work. Yet at times we cant move pieces at all! If Im going to lose a game we want to lose because we made a bad move not because the game only lets us move 1 piece! Good 10 minutes of frustration and uninstalled.
We do enjoy playing this game. We love chess, butt there are quite a few issues including: The online button wont always work we press it, and it makes the sound but nothing happens. The games rules arent always correct, we cant make certain moves, other people can make unrealistic moves, and overall it is really annoying. We do like the game because it stimulates our mind and we enjoy chess.
We play this everyday because we love chess. But we just came across either a hacker or a game glitch. We have the screen shot of the final ending showing we had another move available and was NOT a checkmate. Either remove the player for hacking or fix the games glitch. If you can contact us for the screenshot Id be more than happy to show evidence.

Its pretty fun if you like chess online ranking is pretty fun to try and be the best and its not hard to rank up so kinda makes you feel smart. Nothing wrong with it for us so far.
When we got a loosing streak we got sad and then we got a winning streak and then it was fun.
Was fine until we went to capture a piece with the king and couldnt. We know the rules as long as you arent in check after the taking of a piece the king can take another unit. Constantly having that issue has halted the ability to play online with some tournament strategies and we will be deleting it. Issues with timer disappearing during online and not knowing when its up or how long you have causing misplays or panic plays. Not good for avid chess players.Fix the issues and we will redownload.
Its fun but we get tired of playing the computer. All our friends can play online but ours will not let us. Ive uninstalled reinstalled twice, reset it, and still just get clicks no online the button just presses and presses. Will a Dev or anyone please help. It would get a 5 star review. Incredibly glitchy and literally wouldnt let us take a knight with a pawn garbage game.
Literally watched the game cheat. Zero recommendation.
If your king has an empty space where their queen can go she will put your king in check mate so long as the king cant move any other direction if you move your queen similarly it considers it only check and you loose your queen to the king every time.
