Fun but it kicks you out of game and you lose all guns quite a bit.

Like the game, but it crashes for no apparent reason. Lose all the weapons you take time getting. If you die in the game at least you get a chance to buy back your guns. When it crashes not your fault you lose it all. And theres no way to contact anyone about the issue so you have to post a review and hope there isnt a robot reading this. AND Im a paying Netflix subscriber! What the F? Come on, get your S together.

Great game, progression, and gameplay. But Im not going to play anymore due to glitch where game shuts down and you lose all your weapons. Seems that this has been happening for a while now.

Game was amazing. Nearly perfect. Then an update two months ago introduced issues in the game that resulted in multiple crashes. We havent played it since.

Awesome game but the frequency of the crashes that closes the game is very annoying. Dont want to play the game anymore. It really has great potential though.

This is overall a great game. Occasionally either our character or another robot gets trapped inside an obstacle. Either way we cant complete a mission, must quit and lose all our guns. Losing them this way makes it impossible to buy them back. Its much harder later in the game to find good guns so losing them makes the game frustratingly difficult, especially knowing that at some point we will hit the glitch again and have to start again without decent guns. Other than this, love the game.

This is Borderlands meets Smash TV. We love the continuously changing level design so even though Im repeating missions it stays fresh. We like the looting element, the leveling up, and the gun buyback system. The rolling button is pretty difficult to reliably use on mobile so we dont use it much and the fourth boss fight was annoyingly difficult. We wish the the tonics and chips werent both temporary- make one temporary and another function like a consistent class. We dont want them to fix the glitch where when you re-roll at the weapons seller, you effectively buy all of them for real cheap!

We’re really enjoying the game thus far but one thing we keep running into is the level cap. It’s kind of starting to feel like a cheap way to kneecap the player instead of having the game legitimately challenge them. Plus, we’re a total completionist so it bugs us to not be able to fill out a skill tree completely. Aside from that the only real issue we have is that the game pad controls are really poorly planned/designed and make playing difficult. Otherwise the game is honestly pretty great!

This is fun and addictive but oh how frustrating it is once you finally get a nice set of weapons and a good amount of cash and youre ready to take on the next boss and the game shuts off without warning. You lose all of your weapons and it cost you a couple thousand dollars to buy them back if theyre even available, a lot of times they wont even be available for buyback and you have to start over accumulating weapons again. Very frustrating. Seems to happen the most in the fourth area. We still havent been in a single level in there without it restarting and we have to start collecting weapons again. Im just taking a break now leave us a review.

Fun game, but will occasionally glitch and spawn an enemy outside the playable area, which makes you unable to complete your objectives. That means you have to exit the level, and you lose your weapons and cash. Very frustrating.

Sometimes on the Sabotage Levels Im the first area there will be an enemy who spawns outside of the building and is stuck outside the map and the level isnt able to be completed since you need to kill all the robots before being able to disable the machines. Maybe disable the force field so you can still disable the machines but the robots will still be there and it will be easier if you do get rid of all the robots first.

Love the aesthetic of the game. The movement is mostly good, though youll occasionally walk through a wall or something but not be able to damage any enemies until you get out of whatever you walked into. The basic problem is with the aiming/shooting ability. The touch control on an iPad is definitely screwed up. Trying to aim takes way to long, then once you do get on target you have rearm every few shots. Touching the aiming/trigger to shoot causes the aim to shift way off target. Standing still, target acquired, press/touch to fire, aim point now 180 off target? Pull the trigger and get spun halfway around? What the heck is with that? Definitely need a better way to aim/fire. Definitely never walk and shoot, aim point drifts all over the place. No walking backwards and shooting as you go! Great concept, decent execution, major issue to fix. This is on the easy setting. Tried the normal setting first. Still not able to get half way through the first encounter. Dropped to the easy level figuring we were doing something wrong, surprise, aiming/trigger too sensitive to touch. Play plenty of fps, love the gameplay and controls of say DIABLO Immortal which have similar controls, left movement, right aiming/triggering no drifting of aim point as you touch to fire. Obviously these developers need to tighten their code on the targeting/fire control.

We kinda like this game, The controls have to be tighter by a lot. The joystick doesn’t work so great all the time. Also the board where you have to sabotage the warehouse or whatever always messes up and either puts an enemy on the other side of the wall or there is no enemies around and you can’t continue cause you supposed to kill them all first. Other then that really cool atmosphere, we like it, just needs some touching up and more styles of boards added.

(Update 6/12/23) Wow just uncovered three bad bugs in the process of like 20 min. So last night the game crashed on us while on a mission. We didn’t bother going back into the game. Today when we did, we had no weapons, and the Buy Back counter was empty. So we lost our really good weapons I’d acquired weeks ago! Then we played a sabotage mission, and the last control center to sabotage was unreachable – the electric fence that usually goes down after killing everything in the room never did. So we couldn’t complete the mission. We returned to the main menu, hit continue, and guess what? The game treated our "failed mission" and returning to the main menu as a death! So we had to go and buy back the not as good weapons I’d just acquired. Lowered from 3 stars to 2. The game needs some serious work. (End of update) Overall the game is fun and has a cool aesthetic. However, there are some serious design flaws. There are holes in the maps that allow you to get to areas you’re not supposed to be in (though there’s nothing in those areas – they’re empty except for environment props). The on screen controls need to be adjustable – being able to move the buttons around, swap sides, etc. The "easy" and "normal" difficult levels should be renamed to "normal" and "hard". The AI for the enemies on "easy" and low skull rating maps needs to be checked – there are times when they’ll all come out at once and flood the player – that does NOT make for an easy level. Finally, and this is the biggest flaw, F’K boss level 4!! The boss fight is ridiculously hard with all the lasers, and it’s just stupid – the wack-a-mole robots are NOT a boss, and putting on tons of lasers that aren’t used anywhere else in the game is a pathetic cop-out way of making the fight hard.

The only reason this gets two stars is because we like the IDEA of the game, but even on easy difficulty you have to aim in order to shoot and the enemies are way too fast to aim in time. Not to mention the fact that it takes way too long to reload.

Solid concept. Fun. But mostly Frustrating & glitchy. Theres nothing worse than building up your weapons and cash only to lose it them when the app crashes – which it frequently does. Often you cant even buy back your weapons or, when you do, you lose them again AND the cash spent to recover them. Its wonderful that Netflix offers these games as part of their service, though when the perk doesnt deliver, it aint so perky. Its pesky. All it would take to hit a 4 star review would be to address the crashes and preserve the weapons/cash state when the app exits rather than scrapping it.

Not so bad, all games crash every now and then, right? No, in a rogue like, if the game crashes in the middle of a mission and does NOT recognize thats happened and give you an opportunity to roll back to your last save? That kills the fun. We enjoyed it while it lasted, but we cant spend any more time on this game not because we expect it to be perfect and never crash but because we expect it to know what to do when a crash happens such that it doesnt take the fun out of the game. Just dont feel like grinding for guns again (and, even though we’ve bought the perk to be able repurchase our guns, apparently that ONLY works upon death, not when the game crashes).

So needless to say, didnt bother.

Game crashes and you lose all your guns. Why play the game when its this buggy?

The most difficult and retarded controls, unplayable! Pity it would be a fun game, a bit embarrassing to be on the Netflix pick.

Wow making games is so easy! All you need to do is flip a bunch of assets that other people made, chat with your buddies at Netflix and BOOM! Published game!

What is this nonsense, game crashes in a battle and you lose your gear!! How was this obvious bug not already resolved.

Fun game once you learn the aiming function, but the game crashes constantly, making you lose all the weapons youve collected.

Its corny we have to have a Netflix account in Oder to play its corny fr if u dont have Netflix down download it.

So, we had a bug report for the game. Under certain circumstances, either the player character or an enemy gets stuck someplace unfortunate. In one case, the player character ended up inside a wagon. No way to escape. In another, an enemy ended up on the wrong side of a barrier inside a facility you were supposed to sabotage, and couldnt be killed. Since killing all the enemies was necessary, that meant the level couldnt be completed. In each case you had to abandon the level and all weapons and loot. Frustrating, but we had enough information to characterize what was happening. So the support link takes you to Netflix support, which has only an article that says tough luck, no way to report anything. So we spend 12 minutes chatting with Elsy, who ends up emailing us the same article because you can email about the issue. Of course, the email says dont reply because this is an unattended email address. So, our advice is dont bother with the game unless you dig frustration. But if you like that, go for it! It could be a good game, but we dont see how theyll ever fix any bugs.

The gun issue people talk about isnt even that bad cuz it took us an hour or so but thats cuz we were slow but thats the thing yall be crying. The boss battles do need some work cuz when we got legendery wepons all of them where we bearly passsed. This review is shorter then it would be tho.

The only thing missing is a multiplayer section (with co-op play and versus modes) and aesthetic customizations. Hopefully more territories and bosses are added too! All and all, this game is Awesome!

It took us a couple of tries to get a feel for the gameplay loop, but once it clicked, it became all the more fun. The game heavily reminds us of Borderlands and Diablo. Though, the focus is more on cover shooting and less on run&gun. It also is a bit more on the grindy side but we definitely welcome this more than having to worry about micro transactions, to progress and unlock items and features. There are 2 skill trees for the character youre playing. 1 tree is dedicated to weapon and damage skills. The 2nd tree consists of health and damage reduction skills. Youll also be able to upgrade your home base with various vendors that supply weapons and limited boost mods for your dungeon runs. When you die in a run, you lose everything including your weapons. However, you can upgrade your home base with cores collected in your runs to have your regenerated clone retain the weapons and items you collected. Missions consist of various tasks such as taking out marked targets on a map, destroying a number of radiation barrels, sabotaging enemy facilities, destroying a number of enemy robots, and boss fights. Missions also come in various difficulties (easy, medium, hard) and are randomized, including the maps, each time you load up the game. We can certainly say that Dust & Neon scratches that Borderlands itch for us. Being able to carry a premium game like this in your pocket, without micro transactions, is definitely something we have been waiting for. We play with the onscreen virtual joysticks in static mode. We found that this was the best way to play if you cant play with a controller. The non-static modes can easily make you trigger other buttons you didnt intend to press. The virtual sticks are a bit on the small side but they work just fine for us. Others may opt to play with a controller instead. Im certainly interested to see what this game will evolve into. We would love to see more selectable characters, armor/gear/character customization options, deeper dungeon runs, new locations (such as facilities/buildings that run deeper), new and more varied enemy types, in future iterations or maybe in an update. We think Dust & Neon is off to a great start in its current build. Im having blast playing it, working on a high damage build for our character. We need more premium games like this on the App Store.

Enjoying the game so far, the people whining about losing their guns when you die dont understand the concept of a rogue-like. The only issue we’ve run into is when we get to close to a gun crate in the middle of a fight, it goes into the gun stats menu and we end up dying. Its pretty frustrating, but could be fixed by just making it so that you cant open a crate during combat maybe? Overall, its a fun game though!

In Stage 4 Entering any door in the level in the stage, the app has a probability of crashing, and lost all guns.

Why can’t you restart at a previous checkpoint? We hate losing all our weapons after a death…

Its a great game very fun. Once we got to the 4th section of the map the game started crashing unexpectedly causing us to lose all the good guns we had been collecting. Unable to Buy back either. Always happens when we go thru a door. Maybe just a small bug that needs to updated.

Love the aesthetic and once you get into the gameplay loop it becomes very engaging. For mobile some things need to be adjusted. For one allow us to move the buttons, we always want to swap weapons with our right hand but its on the left, it means we have to stop moving to swap bruh. The lasers on boss 3 and boss 4 are very annoying since mobile doesnt have that precise moment control making the fights feel unfair and tedious to get through. At the very least make the laser walls that have a health packs just normal walls(for both fights). Lastly, we also experienced crashes specifically entering the 2nd bar in the last boss.

This game is good but layered with a lot of poor design. The main issue we have is that the game crashes quite often and we lose all our guns. Thats completely making us stop playing. The reload mechanic is unnecessary so Im glad you can disable it in settings. When you kill all of your nearby enemies, the game should just reload all your guns, stopping to make sure they are all loaded is a nuisance. Also the music is cheesy and repetitive. This was a good try but at level 30 Im stopping to even try anymore. Its been fun.

We finally reached the last region, but the game crashes at random points and you lose all your guns which is very annoying!

As other reviews point out, theres a bug that causes the game to crash occasionally when you enter a room in the fourth area. It makes the game next to unplayable once you get to the point where it shows up because you lose all of your guns when the game crashes.

We could deal with the crashes if you only had to restart the game, but you also lose all progress in the level and even worseyou lose all your weapons, and the buyback rack wont have them. Way too harsh of a penalty for a mistake on the developers end. Fix and Ill switch our rating. So close to being a great game.

When you gonna fix the bug??????? It freeze every time and all our items are gone!!!

When we were playing is suddenly kick us out of the game. When we got back into the game, we loss our guns and cant buy them because they arent there. Please fix this.

The game constantly crashes for no apparent reason. This is super annoying, especially because every time it crashes we lose all our weapons! We’ve tried to get over it but we’ve lost countless powerful weapons! This becomes far worse in later stages where your load out becomes critical for success !
