Let us preface by saying, we have adhd. Is nearly impossible for us to find a game we can stick with for over a month. Not only does this game have continual playability, its simple enough that we dont have to spend a bunch of brainpower on it. This game is quite relaxing. We spend our time by gathering resources, crafting, and we really enjoy sending them to forage for some reason. Now that we’ve maxed out our shelter and have 35 settlers, things move really quickly (adhd pace) and we can get a lot accomplished in one day. Despite playing for months, we still have more to do, like clearing more land and completing the achievements. Overall, this is a very simple yet well designed game that has kept our interest piqued for months. We highly recommend!

We are 3/4 of the way through the game. We maxed the campfire then it stopped assigning us tasks so we cant continue in the game. We’ve tried using the app support button but the people at the other end arent associated with the game. The link they sent us to use to contact the correct people doesnt work. Im at the end of the rope waiting for help. Frustrating knowing we’ve spent about 50 days on a game we cant complete.. If anyone out there can help please do. (I changed to 3 stars because even though we cant go any further we did enjoy the first 50 days. We’ve read other reviews and many people have same issues. For those who say things like costs too much money or takes days to build that is on them. You have choices, nothing costs money unless you want it too and you are given choices on speed of most interactions. Its a puzzle to decide your priorities in the game. Anyway, at around 65 your done. 3 more buildings to go at 67 then game over. You cant do last buildings without spending because once you max camp fire you cant earn bonus bucks anymore. But. We thing more to game from there. Wish you all luck, Im done.)

Well we like this game sm but no quests make it difficult to gain coins With no coins we couldn’t build anything.

The tutorial is annoying because it forces you to look in a certain spot the whole time and personally its unplayable because the screen wont rotate the way we want it to.

Whenever the camp fire goes down, there is nothing we can do to fix the problem because the community tasks keep popping up and we cant complete any of the tasks for various reasons. Either we dont have enough people to complete the task or not enough room in the storehouse to gather resources from the people to get more people. It happens too frequently and its not worth keeping.

Some aspects take way too long. The difference in time between how many people you use is ridiculous. You cant add more people to a running task. Coins are stupid, no need for them when you have the actual resources and people bandwidth. DOESN’T SYNC ACROSS IOS DEVICES!

We do t mind paying a flat fee for a game, but Im not going to pay 24.99 for in game currency that is needed for some reason to build everything, there is no way to sell your items to get currency the only option to purchase their nubucks then trade them for coins. Its ridiculous and it makes mobile gaming not fun anymore. Id rather have a built in economy that uses resources until a certain point bc it makes zero sense to have currency if youre literally the only 5 people on earth.

We love the graphics, sounds, and overall concept. But dont really gain coins instead the game wants you to use real money and $1.99 for 45 coins? LOL comon now, storm damages are way too often, and the time it takes to get things rolling. The only reason Im playing this is bc GODUS stopped updating and we hope they do bc they really understand how its done. Take notes EDEN on our reviews, this game has so much potential to make it better.

This game has potential like other reviews said but there are some very frustrating things about this game. The upgrade time for the community shelter from 10+ settlers is 5 actual days, which is ridiculous. The campfire requests are always things we havent gotten built yet or the things we dont have in the storage. Our item storage is almost full and they never want the things we actually have. Some of the crafting is frustrating and time consuming gathering or making the needed supplies. The amount of time required for trades was the final straw for us. At this point we only had 10 settlers and sending all 10 on trade wouldve taken an entire day. If we sent 5 people it wouldve taken 5 days. That is just a ridiculous amount of time, we understand they want you to pay to expedite things but without constantly paying to speed things up the game gets stagnant and not fun to play.

This game started out interesting, engaging, and fun to play. The progression of society building was challenging yet casual with beautiful graphics. We thoroughly enjoyed playing for several weeks and was looking forward to seeing how the upper levels developed. Despite some gameplay quirks, its really quite charming. The way to earn currency is to produce and sell requested items, and doing so lets you build better structures to make more higher grade stuff. In the early stages there was demand for 15 or so items at a time, and they would be refreshed upon completion. Then, around level 60 and without warning, the items being requested just stopped renewing themselves until the only active request is for a single premium item. Theres no way left in game to generate currency, so the only option would be to spend real-world cash. We dont begrudge the devs needing income, and this started as the type of game Id be willing to invest in. However, making such an abrupt change in gameplay without any prior notice was clumsy and inconsiderate. We’ve spent weeks building an economy which is now of no use. We have a full warehouse and 35 villagers standing around with nothing to do. Rather than motivating us to make purchases, this tactic leaves us feeling that we’ve been misled, and that our gaming time have been wasted. Sadly, theres just no point in continuing to play this game. The bad taste left from this experience means Im not likely to trust another game from this developer.

Unfortunately, the game designers didnt build a balanced game that is fun to play. The game is such that it constantly makes you wait for some event. The coin/bucks balance is out of whackso again one has to wait for the game. With a little tweaking it could be a much improved experience.

Entertaining but settlers take to long to gather water, crops and wood. 8 hours is extremely way too long.

Designed to annoy you by providing little resources, people, and space. Things take 15 minutes to DAYS to complete. You can speed it up with paid currency of course, which is all theyre after. The villagers literally dont even eat the food you make, pointless. It sits in storage taking up space so you make more storage by upgrading buildings.. Hours later back at same place. Foraging is random and the only way youre able to obtain some crafting items. RAGE QUIT.

Its just waiting or watching ads to speed up the waiting. Thats it.

10 minutes in and youve already gotta buy stuff because you run out of world currency super fast which makes total sense for a pre-currency society trying to build from scratch. Oh, and you dont get to choose what kind of world youll build, whether youll be hunters, or farmers, or fishers, or pastoralists. The characters will tell you what they want, and you just do as they say. Which is NOT world-building. Thats just playing a survival game where they give you instructions. We completely agree with the person who said this game should be paid for once and not a gacha game. Some games work well as gacha, like candy crush or even some RPGs for mobile gaming, but Im not fond of it for this game, it wastes money fast because the only thing the currency buys is speeding up idle gaming. This is not a very immersive participatory game. Im all for idle games and casual games, but world building a new civilization from scratch seems like something that should involve some degree of player choice and customization. It doesnt and it pushes weird ideas about how civilization started in the process. 10 minutes into the game and characters are already pushing agricultural, well before the tools for agriculture even get built. You dont domesticate a horse or oxen to drive a plough, and you havent even built a bow for hunting animals yet. Just very, very odd. The graphics are well made enough, so good job to the graphics team and programmers. The game functions fine we just dont like the gameplay or the way the world is unfolding. Makes no sense, and wastes money too fast.

Great game so far, definitely slower pace if you dont spend any money but very easy to progress and move buildings.

We’ve been playing this game for one month and have not lost interest. You really can play at your own pace and style. You dont even need to make in-app purchases.

It takes awhile to get going but its fun once you get started would definitely recommend to friends.

We wish there was sandbox mode where you have infinite items and be able to spawn things and make thing.

Interesting game. As a no-consequences game, we found it enjoyable, and got many hours of relaxing play out of it. If youre repairing a partially damaged building and have the villagers, start a build task, then start the repair, as any ongoing tasks will finish, but you wont be able to start new tasks until the repair completes. We really appreciate that all the trade items could be gotten in the Game Hut, especially as it wasnt worth it to send out a trading mission until we had at least 25 villagers. Some feedback: The task and level scaling doesnt work past around level 58. Gameplay slows at level 59 when it becomes possible to complete most of the community shelter tasks before leveling up, and screeches to a halt around 64/5 when there are fewer tasks than it takes to level up. Having something like needing to make a certain number of food items (maybe have foods be worth different amounts depending on how many things go into the finished dish) per day could help with storage shed bloat. It isnt clear what community wellbeing is based on. Items that are foraged arent found in the percentages that theyre needed, leading to storage shed bloat and having to regularly go through and discard items like leaves and pretty flowers. Im not sure we ever found the large stones needed for the stone circle that was one of the community shelter tasks. The timing of the building of the community shelter compared to every other building made the trade feature basically unplayable, and not actually getting any trade goods category items out of a trade reinforced our lack of interest in using the feature. Im sure theres more, but this is what we remember right now.

Great game only fix we would love is making the people not look so creepy.

Its ok, could be fun. Hard to make progress because of constant storms. Ill play a little more. But its going to get old.

Average user sits down to play when they a little time. Oh what a great game! Rain Storm destroys your buildings. Oh poo got to wait 2 1/2 hrs. Okay in every life a little rain. Come back the next time theyve got some down time. Oh poo Rain Storm! Rinse Repeat. Great game wish we could play it. But ITS ALWAYS DOWN FOR REPAIRS!!!!!

You have to pay and watch many ads for any decent progression in the game.

So we thought Id try it. We had our eye on a beautiful one that may have too much battling, raiding and planning for us whereas we just want to build pretty villages and progress through time. This isnt it. Ugly people, strange time warping, only vague about how to earn coins -food is cooked yet they never eat, workshops built but they only chop wood and fetch water. Within an hour our coins and bucks were randomly decreasing in number. Why not increasing?

The game just ends with very few to no tasks starting in the level 50 area. We were enjoying it, but it literally just gives you nothing.

Like other reviewers have mentioned, this game has such great potential. The graphics are well done and has such a nice, casual feel. And now after a week Im deleting it. Why? Everything is a money grab, storms hit way too often and break your buildings which you have to repair which takes time dont wanna wait? Pay us. This building takes 5 days to upgrade. Dont wanna wait? Pay us. Time after time you get hit with increasingly long wait times which in the end is structured to buy IAPs. We would rather pay 5 dollars outright than be nickel and dimed time after time. Games structured like this show absolutely no respect for the player. Incredibly disappointed and Im so glad we didnt waste money buying Nubucks.

This game is based on a premise of humans having to start over from scratch and build a foraging community. So why would it cost coins to build a kitchen out of lumber that the community just harvested? Lazy difficult-for-the-sake-of-difficulty game mechanic. Deleted after 10 minutes.

While the game does have a nice casual ambiance to it there are a couple of improvements that could be made. First its a smidgen of a cash cow. Oh sure, we understand the need to make a profit and you can play free but the process will be extremely slow and painful without spending a lot of real money. So maybe dial it back a notch. Secondly whats with the constant storms folks. This game is a climate change catastrophe if you buy into that sort of thing. We can see having a storm every now and then but come on guy (balance) we spend a lot more time repairing things than actually building things. So again lighten up.

After level 64, there are no more community tasks to complete, which are literally the only guiding and aspirational factor of the game at all it was already buggy, and the experience point gain to at-level ability was way off.

Every time we are ready to upgrade stupid thunderstorm breaks the building. Have to wait many hours for repair. Very painful.

We’ve played tons of games like this. Craft items build things. Hurry up and wait. But this game takes hurry up and wait to the limit, said hold our beer and went another 60 miles. Complicated list of things to craft in order to craft other trivial things. Wood water. Itll take you a forever just to craft 1 building needing to get resources to craft items to craft items to make a building to craft other items. Its basically a good idea with a trash execution.

5 DAYS wait time to complete the second shelter upgrade? No way. Uninstalled.

Itd be nice to play ads for all speed ups rather than randomly being able to watch ads or not or allow to purchase the game. If you dont make in app purchases, the game hardly moves. Doesnt hold attention for long due to that.

Some comments indicate this game doesnt move as fast as theyd like. This is really a slow but steady game. Once you make up your mind that this is so, then the game meanders along at a very comfortable pace. We appreciate this kind of game because most of the other games we play are fast and furious. Thanks to the developers for this different kind of game thats soothing rather than jarring.

Such a lovely game! Huge opportunities to be creative with how you build your village, and you can name each individual villager. We play this game throughout the day when we have a spare minute.

Our personal opinion is that Eden is a pretty fun and actually its kind of addicting especially when Im at work or late nights when you are bored enough to play games on your phone this one is worth playing in that time. Lol.

Great gameplay.. Dropped five bucks into it and had immense return on play value Currently at level 60 something and hoping to find the way to make another campfire with our thirty-plus crew for continuing play..

Been playing Eden for roughly a week and its a fun game but we have a few problems. Wood is an absolute necessity but it frustrates us that we cant collect more than five at a time. Another thing is the campfire tasks. We try to make stuff that we can both use for building upgrades and complete the tasks at the same time. But whenever we check it off of the vampire tasks it takes it from our store house. Causing us to start all over again. Im so frustrated by this mechanic that we’ve nearly quit doing campfire tasks entirely. Please fix this.

This game is great and has fantastic potential as a survival world building game. Aside from the not to much survival aspect, just the world building part is great. However, things take way too long and sadly its pay to play. Can not watch ads to cut down time, or finish things that are long. You need money to build everything even with the necessary supplies, and its almost just as hard to get money as the golden money. Best pay to play.

Its a fun, chill game. Our only complaint is that the storms happen way to frequently. Youll play for 30 minutes and in that time 4 buildings will be damaged and out of commission making the game unplayable for the next 4 hours. We understand slowing the progress to make the game last longer and stuff like that. But we think the storms are just way to common.

Tasks and ability to gain higher levels slows, and is pretty much a dead end at level 64.

  1. There is a very steep drop off to leveling later in the game. With no more camp requests its about impossible to progress any further. 2. Our old phone was at the end of the game with everything possible built. Got a new phone and theres no way to transfer your game save over. Took us a long time to get all that progress to lose it all.

So we really like the game but we havent had any shrubs, sand, rocks, or leaves to forage in almost a week. We havent been able to upgrade any buildings because they all need things through foraging and idk what to do. We like everything else but Im kind of at a stand still right now.

Nice world builder but the building times are unbalanced. Five people take one minute to gather 20 wood, but 1 person takes 20 minutes to gather 20 wood? Shorter wait times would be nice and would keep newer players more engaged.
