Community Insight:
Enjoyable storyline and nice variety of puzzles. Like the settings so we can get hints. Well done.
Our type of game…. Solo play, good graphics and puzzles, and ok story line.
This game by 4 Friends is much more fun than we had anticipated when we purchased it on sale. Okay, Ill admit that we were intrigued by the basset hound helper, Uni, who has played an active part so far. After an explosion at your fathers house, you find yourself sharing a hospital room with Dad. His assistant tells you that Dad had recently unearthed a magic bracelet which could pinpoint the exact cause, including mystical connections, of any fatal accident. When you wear it, you can discover the true cause of any accidental death. Because your citys death rate has increased dramatically, you need to determine who or what is causing the deaths. Very different, and so far interesting. Not gory, but informative. You have a cell phone with service and access to police files. Glad we purchased this one. So far, no glitches. Part of your task involves separating the good guys from the bad. Worth your time.
Not too many puzzles but enough challenge for relaxing enjoyment.
We are not even halfway through the game and it is awesome!!! Whoevers reading our review get this game! It is the best game ever!!! Well we love mystery games and this is the best one yet! By Grace Simpson Age 7.
After playing some okay, mediocre games lately, this one was a breath of fresh air. It was unique and motivating because it required much more player interaction than most of them. We felt like we were right in the plot. The graphics, voices and story line were all good and we wasnt bogged down with excruciating puzzles to solve. This one flowed well and we enjoyed it.
Many colorful and varied HOPs and puzzles. Long-Playing. Beautiful Graphics. Additional games in the Bonus/Extra section. Various skulls hidden in almost every scene. There is an arrow indicating how many skulls to find in each screen. Well worth $3.99. The developers put a lot of effort in producing this game.
Really enjoyed this story. Great graphics & good storyline! Priced right, too. $3.99. Have spent $7.00 on some other games & wasnt half as good as this one. Havent felt a lot of the games lately deserve a great review. This one does.
We enjoyed playing the game. However, there are a few things that could be fixed. For example, some of the writings or graphics are small (we had to use a loupe a few times to see the details-playing from an iPad). Also, the lightning was a bit annoying. Other than that it was entertaining.
Enjoyed Ring of Destiny before this, because there where a LOT of Hidden Object scenes. Thats why we picked this one hoping it would have the same. A little less Hidden Object scenes in this one, but still good.
This was a good game but we wouldnt say it was fabulous. As with all games we will discuss the positive and negative aspects. You could customize settings. The storyline was interesting and simple to follow. Objectives were regularly updated although there was no cohesive journal. 4 Friends gave us incredible graphics and literally electrifying and magnificent cut-scenes, as well as flawless gameplay. Their level of quality assurance is always extremely high. There was a marked teleport map to transport you almost instantaneously between locations. At each location you must collect demonic masks, and the map indicated whether you had found them; also included was a side tab to indicate how many masks you found. Inventory was labeled and interactive and there were complex items to assemble. The tasks and objectives were entertaining to accomplish. The gimmick in this game was a mystical bracelet with different functions; we wont go into detail. This game was a decent length with the bonus adventure included. What detracted from this game? The HO scenes in the main game were all word lists, and in the bonus adventure were silhouettes. There was no alternative puzzle and we were a bit bored with these scenes. They were also revisited, which added to the monotony. The puzzles/games were also revisited and didnt have enough variety; that being said there were still several which we found somewhat interesting, such as the one where you had to map out a route and the labyrinth puzzle. Another issue was that this game needed a back button; when accessing the map/tasks folder or trying to utilize complex items or inventory tools it was somewhat easy to accidentally back-tap to a prior location. All in all, we felt that this was still a good game and our rating will stand at 4 stars. Next up is EIPIX, and we are not looking forward to poor quality assurance, with the speed at which they have been churning out games. Happy gaming, everyone.
We liked the game more than other big fish games Ive played lately, but…Lights flashed too bright and too often. The game literally gave us a headache.
This is a solid 4 Star game. Entertaining, but the storyline was confusing. The graphics were excellent. The mini games were unique.
We have tried several times to hit the guide button and accidentally hit the hint when we did not want to. We also did not like that the games puts passwords into the machines on its own, rather then we imputing it ourselves.
It came to a point where we had to purchase the game to continue playing the game and for whatever reason it wouldnt let us buy it. Ive bought a big fish game before and it was a Edge of whatever but this time it wouldnt even let us see the price of it. Sad. We were enjoying the game.
This reminds us of the first HOG we ever played. Very beginner ish….. We purchased cuz we were bored! Now Im ready to take a nap. If you have never played an HOG before, this is the game for you! BF has really digressed.
We only played the trial and decided not to purchase. So this review is only for the trial…assuming the game continues in the same manner. It appears to be heavy in the HOGs. You have a mystical bracelet that can see hidden things. So the area glows red and the bracelet glows green. You click the bracelet and the hidden object appears. In the same scene, there is a hidden obstacle that glows red. You click the glowing bracelet and the obstacle appears. You apply the revealed item to the revealed obstacle, and voila, you clear the area. This happened three times in the trial, so it's safe to assume the entire game is the same. And IMHO, this is spoon-feeding the player… Which is not much of a challenge. And every scene was cleared out before moving on to the next scene. We're not a fan of simple gaming and heavy HOGs games like this …so we didn't purchase.
WTH?!?! Q: How does LETHAL and a Bloodhound photo correlate???? It makes NO SENSE!!!!!! Why do developers think gamers want DOGS in games?!?! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially when the CORE FOCUS of a game…..is SUPPOSED to be a MYSTERY???!!! It's SO absolutely LAME and drags the entire game down to ground ZERO of stupidity!!! We won't pay or play ANY games that feature DOGS: #DOGBOYCOTT.
