We never bother to leave reviews on games but we enjoy this game so much, we love dressing up our character and the story line is so entertaining to us. We normally dont have time for ourselves throughout the day but we would play this game for like 2 hours at night enjoying our time. Its very calm and fun to play we adore it so much.
We have been logging in everyday for half a year now, and honestly its just because the game is so refreshing compared to other ones. No ingame ads, you dont have to pay to enjoy the game (havent spent a cent,) the plot is interesting and theres hella tea (drama) and the outfits are really fun to create once you have a good wardrobe built up. Admittedly it is repetitive and there is some daily grinding, but they make it easier as you progress, and all the people in our server are really nice and it creates a relaxing atmosphere. Its a fun game to play if you have the time to waste. You probably wont ever become empress tho lol Edit: we have tried playing many other empress games and always got stuck at some point and couldnt progress because of certain paywalls, which hasnt happened to us yet, so we would recommend this over other similar games.. Looking at you revenge of the queen.
The games are great and keep us logging back in day after day. Our only complaint is the lack of skin color diversity and hair diversity. There is no dark skin tones, African hair or even red hair options.
Like many people, we too assumed the game was going to be a money-suckling and quick-to-bore gacha where the choices dont live up to what they seem. But boy, was we WRONG! This game is actually pretty addicting, theres many things you can do. The story, interacting with other players, events, etc. The story is a pretty integral part of the experience, as it unlocks different mechanics (such as kids) and characters you can romance. The choices ACTUALLY have a purpose! While many lead to the same dialogue, depending on your choice, youll receive a certain amount of points that will get you to your destiny. Which is a story mechanic that will affect the outcome of your stay at the palace. And, you DONT have to pay for any dialogue options (unlike many choice-based games.. Ugh ) Its also pretty easy to spend no money or barely any, as the only thing that would force you to empty your wallet is to make it on the leaderboard and score high on some events. If your goal is to just have fun and enjoy the BEAUTIFUL graphics, characters, and clothing, its pretty easy to get in-game currency through daily tasks and etc. You can also obtain a lot of different currencies through simply waiting a few hours or until the next day. We will say, the only things in the game we find scammy or useless is the Silver Fish Koi Pond, as it regurgitates the same one/two star clothing and duplicates unlike its Gold counterpart. And ranking high in any of the leaderboards (How do those guys have so much money to waste?!) Overall, we would rate it a 4.5, but for the plot twist on it being an actual game and not a quick cash grab, Ill give it 5 stars :).

Ive played this game for a year, and we must say this game is wonderful the clothes are gorgeous and can be easily collected even when youre a free player. The support team is also quick to response and easy to contact. We totally recommend this game.
We love this game so much! The only problem we have is that we are insure how to add friends. We clicked on our profile and clicked add sisters (assuming thats the friends option). But when we clicked it it said that our character has been created for over 24 hours and that we have to invite another player. Our mom just started playing and so we tried to add our character on her end from her game and it said the same thing. We are unsure if the friends option just doesn't work yet or if we are doing something wrong.
When we downloaded it we thought it was gonna be another click dumb many ads game. But nope! And we kept playing, Pleasantly surprised That we enjoy it.
In all honesty we thought that we would not like this game and that we would get bored of it, but Im literally obsessed with it. This is probably our favorite game that we have downloaded.
Easy to progress fast and got so many five stars on wishing.

Yes; the ads are really annoying, however its actually a fun time sink, and it has a story plot too which was unexpected! We havent played these types of games before (empress games specifically, it seems to be a genre now?), so we read the reviews. There arent actually any ads in this particular game, even for the free gacha aspects. There is obviously some P2W stuff, but its easy to ignore and mainly just like extra stat boosts/currency, etc. A big component of it is building up servants and collecting resources for that, and some idling aspects (waiting for timers to go down), so if you play different types of idle games this will feel familiar. Very fun to play while waiting for the bus or something.
This game is actually so fun we literally cannot stop playing!! Like we love how you can get children and stuff we literally cry when they go and get married . Im in love with this gamerede.
This game allowed us to give us something to do while listening to our podcast. :) It was nice.
We were surprised to find a game like this thats actually like the ads. While there is stuff thats locked behind the VIP paywall, theres also lots of things you can get for free! We also havent tried the VIP system but it seems like a solid spend money = gain rewards system. Our only complaints are that the voice acting could be better, and theres a LOT of daily tasks to do. Im used to it because Ive played other games like Fashion Diary & Love Nikki that have similar tasks but we feel like anyone new to the format would probably struggle to keep up. The good thing about that though is theres constant free stuff to get if you put in the work! Overall a solid game and Im having a surprising amount of fun playing it. Also Im hopelessly in love with Ji. Thank you for creating him.
Everything is good. However we feel a function to kick someobe who ban them should be a thing. Block is good but there are people who somtimes just bully and cuss in the chats and we feel they should be repremanded for this behavior.
So while we were playing there was a text saying loading so exit out then back in and all the sudden we cant play. The game itself wasnt working.
Great way to pass time. Music is relaxing. No ads. Lots of chances to win beautiful clothing. Story is great and voices that read match words on the screen. It is odd some voices are of UK decent though.
Its actually a lot of fun. We started for the outfit collection but the game play is easy and fun so we recommend for people who want something simple and easy. Super easy to understand and fun to play.

We wish they could speak Chinese while the words on the screen is in English. It would make it more realistic. But we would totally recommend this game!!! 10/10.
The game is incredible and everything, but it has its fair share of problems. The servers, they make you restart, choose your name and everything all over again. When they are asking us to put flowers and everything on the servants, the screen freezes. We cannot even go back the to main screen. We cannot do anything else because it makes us do this. Please fix these problems so we can go back to playing this game. Thank you.

We absolutely like be this game, Im An Asian drama addict so this game gives us another fix lol, its a game you should try. Im getting frustrated because in the courtly roulette game we try and save fabric pieces to get the dress but before we get 4 pieces the other 3 are taken.this has happened numerous times, how are we supposed to complete sets when we cant keep the items we need to complete them?? There is no technical support for the game so how can this be addressed.
We honestly really like the game kinda reminds us of Nikkis dress up. But sometimes the game confuses us when it doesnt tell us what to do. Bur also Im old so Im not surprised.

So we see ads for games like this constantly, decided to give this one a go on a whim and now its part of our nightly routine The plot is really good so far, the dress up options are beautiful and ingots arent too hard to collect so its fun to build up your clothing collection by buying stuff or by getting it in random rewards. There is a VIP option but it is not necessary to enjoy and progress in the games. You do run out of prestige kinda quick but you can always use vouchers you win or wait for the prestige bar to fill up for you to claim, and work on scolding in increments. This is our favorite game and we have no shame about it.
So when we started playing this game it was extremely fun really interesting and everything but we remember at the beginning there was like someone hurting another person and the screams were kind of sus.
From the story line, to the ability to make choices, and the clothes, the quality of pictures, we finally found an Empress game that involves choices making, that os finally satisfying. Thank you very much for being able to create such a beautiful game. We would say its the best fame we have ever experienced.
We can honestly find the fault with this game it is one of the best ones we have played and we have played mini games under this genre because we like them the story is great The contest are fun and the outfits are beautiful if we had to ask for one thing It would be when you unlock outfits for your companions we would like their profile pictures to change to show the outfit.

The game isnt 3d animation like the mobile ad we got, but it is story based and has dress up and rank elements.
We downloaded this game on a whim, because we like the dress-up games and visual novels. As it turns out, it was a good decision! The game is very fun, with lovely aesthetics. The UI is a little overwhelming, and there are a LOT of dailies to keep up with, but its very interactive and entertaining! Translation isnt always perfect, but the fact that the main story is voice acted makes up for spelling errors. It also should be noted that its not at all historically accurate, but its still a very fun game! We greatly enjoy it.

While we do agree with other reviewers that the music and such is not what Ive come to expect in an Oriental Palace Game, it certainly isnt enough to deter us from playing! We would like to revise to mention the Observe Star Event has very melodic singing in the Story part. We do hope they keep that.This is a delightful game! We love it! Advancement is possible without spending. However, if you do choose to spend, there is a wide variety of nicely priced options. We recommend all 3 of the Funds. In game currencies are fairly easy to earn. It is not hard to follow, and the tutorial is more in depth than some. Not only can you buy beautiful clothing, you can craft it as well as earn it in Events! There are many things to do to keep you busy and pass the time in an enjoyable way. Did we mention the other players are great? Well, at least in our server, they are! This game is worth your download.

Once we downloaded this game, we couldnt put it down. Its so much fun and a great way to pass time. We would definitely recommend this game for anyone who likes role-play and fun mobile games.
So we love the game definitely, but we were wondering if there was anything we could do with the clothing. So we have multiple of some clothing items, so we were wondering if there was any way we could sell the copies of clothing items we already have for the gold coins in the game or something. Or do we just have to live with having multiple of some clothing items.
Tbh, we got this game cause the ads were weird and we were gonna make fun of it it ended up being a pretty fun game and theres a lot of details and the storyline is great, theres no advertisement and you can interact with other players. You dont need to buy money or gold to progress and overall it is a very fun game, we love the dressing up and outfits too.

If this kind of stuff (Ancient China, concubines, harems, etc) interest you then youll love this game! We normally dont play mobile games but we cant put this one down. Theres never any ads to watch (however it does advertise in game purchases) which is a nice change of pace from most mobile games Ive tried. The story is interesting and the gameplay is fun. Its a lot to take in at first but once you know your way around youll keep coming back. Our only complaint about this game is that some of the translations to English are a bit inaccurate/ confusing BUT we can still understand what is meant to be said and that hasnt taken away from our enjoyment at all. We maybe even caved in and purchased some gold because Im addicted join us! (`).
It can be hard to gain a few things and we have ti wait until midnight for other things but other words it is fun! We got it as because of our cousin for a fun thing and a little laugh but its actually really fun and addictive. Great storyline.
We never write reviews but Im making an exception for this game because it is genuinely so fun and unique. So we first discovered the game through an ad and wasnt expecting much from it. But omg we were hooked from the first few minutes of playing. The graphics are beautiful and there are so many things to do and interesting storylines. It isnt really a pay to win game either, you can enjoy playing without spending a single penny! There are also a lot of dress up options + pets + cute guys (lol) and you can adopt a kid! This is currently our favorite game and we could just play for hours. We really hope it gets more recognition in the future because it deserves it. If youre thinking of getting this game, do it!! You wont regret it.
Aside from the occasional mistranslation, the story is immersing and the characters are likable and have a personality.
Overall we really enjoyed this game! Our community was super amazing (tho Ive heard otherwise from different servers) and we really enjoyed the early plot and a lot of mechanics. The outfits are fun and very pretty, and we like the many servants and general progression mechanics. The plot of the story, however, is repetitive and boring after a time. The emperor is frustrating (we have never hated a man more, hes so stupid) and there are so many more minor characters (mostly the four love interests) that are so much more engaging but get little time to shine on their own. We also really hated how much irl money was necessary to gain items during events, as you could save 4000 gold and still not be able to make enough in a event to get a cool outfit. We may go back to play this game eventually but we got frustrated and wasnt having fun. The community kept us going as long as it was (shout out to royal from server 66!), we just wish the plot was more engaging and didnt require quite so much saving up.
Only qualm is that the amount of learning curves are overwhelming due to all the features and the story is hard to keep up with but imo its a double edged sword bc the amount of effort developers put into the game is worth the confusion lol. The graphics are stunning we truly do appreciate every detail.. Regardless of our inability to comprehend just what the f/ck Im playing.
We played this game for about 3/4s of a year, and it was honestly really time consuming. We would spend 2-4 hours everyday on this game, and while it was rewarding at first, after a while it just became brain-numbing. The story is alright, but its hard to get prestige to play the story. Theres a lot of other things to do, but most of them have long refill times, and its nearly impossible to get everything done in less than an hour, so if thats what youre looking for, this is not it. Its fairly easy to get ingots as a F2P player as long as you dont spend them everyday (gaining around 800 daily) but you would still need 20k AT LEAST to complete any limited events, and theres hardly ever a break between events to stock up on ingots again. Also, they only merged servers for events, so if youre in a dead server, good luck being able to do Opera or Banquets, and you might as well say bye bye to Fashionfest because it wont even start if not enough players signed up for it. There are some goods things though- the outfits are awesome and you get a free 4 star outfit every month for logging in, and we met some really great people in our server, although theres like a 50/50 chance of getting a good server, since we've heard some are really toxic. We know we have a lot of complaints and not many compliments, but overall we did enjoy our time and we think that its worth a try. We dont write reviews that often, but we do hope this helps.
for anyone wondering, no, this game isn't like the ads at all. We don't recommend it if you were hoping for that kind of game. We're not going to judge based off that though, since it's common practice with advertising anyway and we sort of knew what to expect already when we downloaded it. We'mjust judging based off what's actually in the game. we're not that far in, but so far the art seems nice and the story is engaging. We're not so clear about the actual "game" portion of it, though. The tutorial is still holding our hand through every action even after chapter 1 ended and we still feel like we have no idea what's going on. We keep getting new item after new item when we're still not sure what the last one was supposed to do, there's a bunch of different currency for several different things off the bat, and overall we just don't quite get how it all affects the story besides the couple of "games" where you just hope to have a higher number than the opponent. It's just a lot of systems and moving parts at once, and we really can't figure out how they all slot together. Maybe it's just normal for these types of games and we're not yet used to them? In any case, at the very least it doesn't actually seem to be hindering us at all. As far as we can tell, the game tells us to tap this button, and that button, and then we play the story and it all works out without any effort on our part. We're a bit nervous for when the gameplay gets harder, but maybe we'll understand it better by then? We hope so, anyway.
