Description

Noch mal! is the digital version of the popular dice game.

Players earn points by being the first to check off all boxes in a column, and all boxes of the same color. They must do so by only checking boxes which are connected to other boxes. Make sure to complete columns before other players do! The first to complete a column earns more points than those that complete them later. In addition to points for completed columns a player can receive a bonus if they checked all the boxes of the same color.

Encore! Digital Edition Reviews

Very clever job coding this, it works exactly like youd want it to!

We love the game and the app is very well designed. We wish there was an option to play against a CPU opponent like there is in Qwixx. We like playing solo but miss the excitement of having an opponent.

Im so glad we found this game. Its relaxing yet challenging at the same time. We love the solo mode. The game is easy to learn, theres a little luck involved, but you have to be strategic in how you pick and place your dice and colors. Its not overly hard, its just right. And it keeps you wanting to play one more time because its addictive and each game only takes five minutes. The UI and design of this app are excellent. Everything is smooth. We also applaud the developer for making it a fair premium price, with no ads or crazy priced IAP. This is how apps should be monetized. Well done. The app also uses almost no battery, and takes up very little storage space. We think this is one of our favorite games now. Thank you!

Great digital implementation of the dice game! Its unfortunate that other reviews give low scores because they dont like or understand the games mechanics. If you enjoy Noch mal! Then you owe it to yourself to get this app.

The game itself is great. Instructions are clear. Technology on where to allow you to mark off boxes works great. We have the home game but actually use the app solo play to teach newcomers first. If you like Quixx or any of the Clever games, give this one a try. Only reason its knocked down a star is because itd be nice to have some stat tracking. Theres some achievements to get and a top score leaderboard. But nothing tracking total games played, average score, etc. Itd also be nice to have high scores/stats per board since theres different layouts to choose from.

We enjoy playing the game a lot but its frustrating to score low most of the time. You start at -22 and the highest we usually get is around 11 or 12. Its so hard to get a decent score in this game!

Colorblind people dont bother downloading, red/green blindness makes this game impossible to play. Cant find any options to help with this. Will change this review if fixed/added.

Overall, this game is excellent. Heres a quibble: In the Duo mode, the row that shows the column score score bonus (below the play grid) updates when your opponent completes a row. This does not do the player any favors, since knowing the score difference between completing a particular column now and later is important for strategic play, and most players do not have the score pads memorized. This is implemented well in the Android version.

This game is great, but it is not colorblind friendly at all. 3 of the colors (Im assuming green, orange, and yellow) are hard to distinguish, and green and orange in particular are nearly impossible. Id love to be able to play the game, but we cant do to the lack of a colorblind setting.

To clarify, the app seems to work pretty smooth. We just hate the game. We are constantly forced to choose between two terrible options, we fail to see why anyone would find this fun. Glad we bought the app, so we can now avoid the real game.
