What Makes Eric's Sudoku –Classic Puzzles Stand Out
Play this fun and easy-to-use Sudoku game on your iPhone or iPad. Great for beginners and a challenge for experts. It has beautiful graphics, smooth game play and subtle sound effects.
Sudoku is a number puzzle game where you try to fill in the blanks. Each digit (from 1 to 9) can only appear once in each row, column, or 3×3 sub-grid. There is only one solution for each puzzle. Here's an example:
If a row looks like this:
1 3 _ 4 5 6 8 9 7
Then the number 2 is the only possible answer for that empty space, because the numbers 13456789 are all already in that row. By looking to see which numbers are already in a row, column and 3×3 sub-grid you can figure out what numbers go in each cell. (It sounds more complicated than it is! The "SIMPLE" level puzzles make it pretty easy to get started.)

We used to love Erics games. They are well engineered. But instead of rolling over points to continue playing, they dont give you enough points to do that because they want you to buy the points. For example, we just completed a quarter of our sudoku level and got five points. To roll over into another game we need 60 points.
We really like being able to choose between easy, medium, and hard. The ease of using the small numbers is a big plus! The pencil for notes and the pen are the best.
Have played Erics game nightly for a decade. Clean format, user-friendly in all ways. Best Sudoku program we can find. Thank you.
How can we get rid of the adds? Im willing to pay. Ive had pop ups they say they will remove the adds for 4.99, but adds are still there. Im not willing to lose more money. Please help.

After several years of playing Erics Sudoku, we can attest that it is well done and a delight to play. The ability to use notation to keep track of playable tiles is welcomed and well implemented. There are also ample new games to play of all levels of difficulty. Eric knows how to make great game apps.
Easy to learn and advance since you can choose puzzle packs to suit the level of difficulty you want.

We love the game, but have learned to take a screen shot of completed puzzle because , so often, it doesnt hold the winning time, causing us to redo the entire puzzle. Very frustrating.
We started playing your game when it first came out. Every time we went to a store that carried computers we'd play while our husband shopped. When we got a computer this is the first game we put on it. We now have our husband nieces, nephews, grandchildren and 1 great grandchild playing your Sudoku. We did get Sudoku-Kids for the younger ones. Still have 3 great grandchildren to young and hope we're around to teach them. In other words we love Sudoku.
Would be five stars easy if it had an option for changing to large buttons for the number selection. And, for us, the newspaper experience would be perfect if the game allowed mistakes!! Still our favorite sudoku game.
We have played quite a few Sudoku games. This one is by far the best.
Sudoku never made sense before (not that Im particularly arithmetically inclined, mind you). As others have noted, Ive always had a good time with Erics other games, so we figured we had to take a look. Good choice! Gotta play our game with breakfast.
The Eric's games are usually great — multiple levels, easy to use, never boring. We complained a while back about the bad bugs in the upgrade. Good news — all fixed!! As before, It uses color to make it easier to use, added a bonus when you place all of one number in all the boxes, gives points upon completion that can unlock new levels, has a newspaper sort of look at the beginning that is useful.
We're not one to write reviews, but this is as close to good old pencil and paper as you're gonna get. No bells, no whistles, easy to use :) we only wish it didn't identify mistakes. This option should be made to enable/disable.
The tools are great. Highlighted squares makes it easy to remember our place. We like the ability to add notes using a separate pencil. Hiding numbers already filled makes it easier to keep track of the game.
We been enjoying the easy of playing. No hard push to buy anything.
We're not the most patient Sudoku players so we love the fact that they highlight all the numbers for you showing you how many of that number and left.
The only problem is that the 5 star puzzles are easier than the 2 star puzzles.
Played other suduko games and this is among the best. In fact like all the games that we have that Eric produces.

This is how we unwind. Medium puzzles are perfect for us.
The app itself is a pleasure. The pencil, being able to highlight numbers, being able to double click a single number to choose it. The game responds fairly quickly, though sometimes our fingers move faster than the action. One quibble: we disagree with some of the puzzle ratings.
We love playing and this one is far our favorite. Suggestion Eric can one of your packs be a 12×12 board? Those are fun and challenging also. Thanks so much (p.s.- love the newspaper look).
This is the best Sudoku app by far. Eric's handles a lot of little things that really add up to a pleasant experience of solving a Sudoku puzzle. One thing we particularly like is the yellow highlighting that helps us locate all instanciations of a given number. Also, Eric's Sudoku will stop you when you make a mistake. For us, that saves us from having to restart the puzzle because we got too far down the road. Eric's makes the best Solitaire games. So it comes as no surprise that they made the best Sudoku, as well.
We really like this game! We have tried several and got rid of them all. Not this one!! Amenities are super and we don't have to buy anything to fully enjoy the game! Thanks for making it special.

We like Eric's game apps, but Sudoku has been really fun to play. It goes much faster than on paper and he has many games for each ability level all in one app. It is easy to pencil in possible numbers.
