Hear from the Players – Eternal Concord Reviews

Find out what gamers are saying about Eternal Concord:

Hard to get into at first but worth the time.

There are thousands of combinations available from the various glasses. So this game can be too easy or crazy difficult. We’re playing a second time with heavy magic. Great value. Old school…….

Feels like a mix of styles. A little like Lunar, a touch of FFI, and others. You get to choose four characters from eight different distinct options. Everything is pretty straightforward so theres really not much you need for a guide. The maps so far arent too confusing or big. Of course we are only about an hour into the game. Overall, its very charming, the soundtrack seems pretty good so far and just enough challenge to keep it from being boring. If the rest of the game is like this, Ill gladly keep our review at five stars. We only have 2 complaints: The touchscreen controls are a little clunky. Definitely not the worst we’ve ever experienced but could be a little smoother. Also, it would be helpful to see the stats of gear BEFORE we buy it. The only indication is to let you know who can equip it and if it boosts your stats. Doesnt say baby how much. We would really like to see more from this developer!

We found this game when we were looking for classic type rpgs. Very well made and has been great fun so far.

Recommended for anyone who wants a simple classic JRPG experience. P.S. Absolutely no in-app purchases!

Nice game so far! We are enjoying JRPGing!

Huge retro rpg gamer and this is just another amazing new retrolooking jrpg. If you love FF1 then no doubt will you want this one. Only one complaint is the map layout. We have to say we hate it we absolutely love the game it’s no problem but it’s just probably our least favorite overworld map out of the billion jrpgs we play. Edit: could you add controller support please?

This game replicates the feeling of playing an old school JRPG but removes 90% of the grind and tedium and gives boatloads of EXP and money. Theres a fast travel system so needless backtracking is nonexistent. Theres an item that lets you instantly escape dungeons, thus further negating backtracking. Im grateful this game sells a Repel-type item to disable random encounters as well as the fact that theyre cheap. Without the item, the game would be infinitely more tedious. This game is very reminiscent of Final Fantasy 1, as you can build whatever four-person team you desire, with 8 classes to choose from. This game is a good time waster, but we found it rather forgettable. The story is as generic as generic gets, what with a demon lord that hopes to take over/destroy a medieval world and four heroes have to band together to defeat him. There arent any twists in the story. What you see is what you get. Character development is basically nil. The graphical quality is very reminiscent of RPG Maker, although Im sure this game was made without it. Theres a momentary loading screen that occurs everytime you transition to a new area, which makes general movement from one area to another needlessly sluggish. Its a very small gripe, but one we have nonetheless. Overall, this game knows what it wants to be and it achieves its goal, although it doesnt do any more than what it sets out to. Id give this game a 7/10. Its good for playing during lunch breaks at work.

Whilst we can understand why people found the game nostalgic due to similarities with FF1, other than the initial choice of characters with job classes the game by no means is similar. The graphic design and artwork (sprites) are terrible. The music was mediocre at best. The game doesnt ebb and flow, probably due to the fact that the touch pad and the buttons are not so user friendly. We have played tons of Jrpgs but this has to rank among the lowest. The game was just not for us!

We have been playing this for about an hour now, and it seems very well made. It has almost the feel of the old school final fantasy games, and we love it!

We have played all 8 characters through two different saves and Im at the final boss. Excellent game play throughout with zero bugs or issues. We enjoy being able to select any character configuration we desire and we like how it shows the difficulty level based on whom we have chosen. The puzzles within certain maps are adequately challenging. The weapons, armor and items are reasonably priced at their respective storyline. We like how all the stats increase each level up and that spells are earned via level ups. We rate this game as one of the best (old school Style RPG) games and truly hope there are many more to come. If your reading this and wonder watch its like to play this, heres your answer: FinalFantasy 1 (Which is available on the App Store) Wish list for developers: 1. Continue expanding on this game with expanded world, different timelines, or new world 2. Keep future installments as a one time purchase. 3. Brilliant game, please create many more.

The game has a nostalgic old school feel. The story is simple and mirrors that of many RPG games. There are several job classes that are explained at the beginning of the game. The game even lets you know if your party composition will make the play through easy or hard. We have only played a couple of hours and have yet to have an issue. The only downside is the random battle rate is a little high. It would be nice to have an option to lower it. The best part is that it is not a free to play gotcha game. All content is present when purchased.

We laughed, we cried, and that was all before the second dungeon! We love the game, but it is our game so Im probably a bit biased .
