What Makes Ethereal Enigma Visual Novel Stand Out
While returning home from his first day of high school, our Protagonist encounters a strange woman who encourages him to make a wish at the shrine. Although skeptical, he unwittingly summons Erilynn, a beautiful yet bold princess from another world! With no idea how she came here or how to send her back, the two must put aside their differences and work together to unravel the mystery.

Once again Pixelfade does what they do best, make a visual novel that is not only heartwarming, but extremely enjoyable and memorable. You may not have giant robots or a magical world to explore, but you have a person from a new world, wonderful relatives that run a great bakery, a quiet girl who is beautiful inside and out, and of course, whatever a Kosei is. With such talented voice work from people like Megan Shipman, Kira Buckland, Lilypichu, Joshua Waters, and so many more other terrific voice actors, CGs that can cause a great many emotions, a well written story filled with love, family, friends, and the important things in life, and of course another excellent soundtrack by the always amazing Eric Benaim, Ethereal Enigma is another sign of Pixelfades consistency to create visual novels that are not just entertaining, but can create lasting memories or even inspire you to be a better you. Whatever you get from this game Im sure it will be positive, no matter your feelings on visual novels.

Ive read all of PixelFades VNs and this one is our favorite so far. They improve each time and Im looking forward to the next one. One star taken off for it being a year since the last update even though it often crashes before you can get to the New Game screen (we have an M1 iPad Pro 11). Eventually, if you keep trying, itll get there and it hasnt ever crashed for us beyond that point, but this should be a priority fix. We bet lots of people have requested a refund after trying a few times and being unlucky in getting past the crash.
We warmed up to Erilynn, though it was like pulling teeth at first, and it paid off. Kira was seemingly absent for a moment but basically cute the entire way through. But.. Sorry a Secret Risa love interest???? We were doing a painful no love route, and couldnt believe how dense the MC was being towards Risa, but then we got the opportunity to acknowledge her feelings? Im kinda blown away.
We enjoyed the game very much, takes a couple hrs to complete which is great, love the characters, and love the storyline which had a great ending this game is well worth 10 dollars.
This is another really good game from PixelFade. Only problem we had with it was that the MC felt a little less important compared to your other games. Other then that phenomenal as always.
So we managed to begin playing this game and we really enjoy the story, however soon as it opens for some reason the app shuts down right before the start, load game menu. It began happening shortly after we first started playing.
BEST VISUAL NOVEL EVER! But we hope the next visual novels are a little better with endings, for example more possible endings like a harem one, a bad ending, or even one with every relationship just being platonic, etc.
