What Makes Everlasting Summer Stand Out
Meeting Semyon, the game's main character, you would've never paid attention to him. Just an ordinary young man with thousands, even hundreds of thousands of those like him in every ordinary city. But one day something completely unusual happens to him: he falls asleep in a bus in winter and wakes up… in the middle of a hot summer. In front of him is "Sovionok" – a pioneer camp, behind him is his former life. To understand what happened to him, Semyon will have to get to know the local inhabitants (and maybe even find love), find his way in the complex labyrinth of human relationships and his own problems and solve the camp's mysteries. And answer the main question – how to come back? Should he come back?

Beautiful story telling, very immersive and you will feel like you are a part of that world, that is coming from someone that doesnt like to read much. We were looking for a emotional visual novel after playing Doki Doki and this one did not disappoint.
For a free game it is insane how awesome this game is man.

Hands down, this is our favorite visual novel of all time. The music is incredible, the mysterious magical feel the world sets up is astounding, and the characters feel real throughout the entire experience. Im astounded that this is free. If you havent played this already, do it. Please. You are doing yourself a major favor. It doesnt matter how familiar with visual novels you are, this is a great place to start.

One of the most interesting games ive ever played. Here we are downloading it again almost 3 years later.
We love this game. The music is so lovely and the backgrounds are so pleasant to look at. We like the story a lot too and we like it's length. Some things we're not really a fan of are some of the suggestive themes, but overall, we enjoy this game very much. We're very surprised it's free.

Like all the reviews say, the story is really good and its free too which is nice. However the main character is horrible. All he wants to do is sleep and eat so its frustrating when you want to go socialize with all the amazing characters but you cant. Hes also just very mean. The main character also makes a lot of stupid annoying choices that we cant control that negatively effects the way some of the characters see us. Having the main character so unrelatable kinda takes away from the immersion but otherwise its a great game.

Who wouldve known that reading this visual novel, which looks like a typical dating sim on the surface, actually would become one of the most emotional and thought provoking experiences of our life. Also apart from that its very unique in terms of cultural background.
Its very addictive and fun to play, we totally lose track of time when we play it, please make more games like this :).

Years ago, we wrote a review giving this novel only 4 stars due to a few glaring issues that we had with this. Today, we give Everlasting Summer the 5 Star rating it deserves. The app now has all the features of its PC and android counterparts.

We have this game on the computer and when we found out you could get it on the phone we got excited!! We love the game and it should be worth something. Instead of free.
A favorite streamer of ours started playing this. It had interesting art, we're a big fan of narratives in video-games, what can go wrong? So we stopped watching the stream, downloaded the game (for free, a lot of charity points earned there) and started exploring. There's a lot to be disappointed at here. An imperfect translation is one element that goes wrong and makes the game look more amateurish than it really is, initial playthroughs also brought an element of frustration as to clarity in the choices. Maybe we want to romance one girl, we end up with another that we didn't want because we have no clue how to navigate the choices. A lot of the good endings, the really satisfying ones, will take a guide, luck, or a fair deal of trial or error. But we've noticed the weird cultural mis-steps less and less, and we've become more and more impressed with the game's branching paths. As you start to replay the game, lack of navigational clarity actually becomes a source of excitement. We've actively pursued one girl to obtain a completely surprise ending more about postmodern philosophy than romance. And while initial playthroughs may resemble a romantic comedy, later playthroughs, dealing with the mechanics of the protagonist's problems, resemble more serious efforts at existential theme. This game has over 12 endings, and ironically, the more endings you see, far from pulling you in different directions, the game looks like a more cohesive, riveting whole. Expect good characters, but better plot twists and mental manipulation.
This game was amazing! It was full of emotion. Plus it was very easy to relate to the characters. Probably the best visual novel on the App Store.
We were heartbroken when it ended. Just sat there feeling sad….. Amazing game. We felt like the character and the storyline drew us into the game. It was so compelling. 10/10.

Honestly speaking, we haven't seen anything like this, ever. Simple the best experience we've had with a novel. Artwork and character development is like non we've ever seen. We would pay all our money to see a second one.
Pathos & Ethos. Heart wrenching and immersive. Some of the Character Design & Setting initially put us off months ago. Now after download its all endearing. Its Basically an away at Camp Story that touches Harem Comedy. The writing is slow paced but you can scan read. The GUI aint perfect. Bough soundtrack after, may pick up Guitar after this… This stays with you, repeat to get good ending(s). U can tell the artists had complete creative license. These characters will stick w/ you, strongly for a long time after. You ought to be able to donate.
