Community Insight:
We wanted to play it for a while before reviewing. Im in route 20 and Im really enjoying this game. Reminds us of Coromon and Pokemon gen 3-4 a whole lot. We like how they made it a team of five and the creatures feel new. The moves and types are all solid and what you would expect for the genre. Ive experienced a few minor bugs but nothing Im sure they wont fix. Im playing on an iPhone 16 plus.
This is the best game on the App Store. Second only to Clash Royale. It is a classic Pokmon style game. But with an added quality changes and a more unique story. If you think the five dollar is too much to ask, go digging in your coach its worth it we promise.
Ive been playing games for a long time now, and this little gem, especially for the price, is worth the money. 300 monsters and nice environment artwork makes it worth picking up. So far we have just under 10 monsters after a few hours of playing, and Im not impressed by the number of our mons that dont have a 3rd stage, but there are a lot more to collect. Maybe Ill be pleasantly surprised later? We did want to note that they did things with the environments in this game that we, personally, havent seen in other 2D games particularly rooms divided with side doors. We know it doesnt seem like much, but usually youll just see one big room, and separated rooms with little door frames going up. It was a nice touch that we particularly appreciated.
Trying to leave Muhit city to go to the trail 30 leading to the sunken cave and its so bugged we cant progress.
We can not get passed Muhit city we tried every way possible it we does not allow us to proceed. Its a fun game we wish we could continue it though.
Cant wait for another EvoCreo to be made.
Its a fun game. Reminds us of Pokmon so much. If you loved pokemon, youll love this. We dont like how you practically need dominous links to catch the ultra rare creo and that you cant really buy more and can only earn so many we wish you could buy them but you also only had so many master balls in pokemon so we guess they are keeping that same energy here. Otherwise, great game. We really enjoy it. Worth the buy.
Great game , quite a lot of nigerian names.
Just started, but please add controller support. Will likely not play much until then.
We really enjoy this game and scratches that old Pokmon sapphire and ruby itch nostalgia we had as a kid. However, we have had 2 instances where our paid Gemmas vanished as we purchased items because we clicked on the paint spray too fast? Our game would freeze and we would restart the app but notice our Gemmas were gone but we did not receive our item. This needs to be fixed asap!! How can we get a refund for these items? Or at least get the items we bought.
Im having a ton of fun playing this game, practically hooked. We not only enjoy capturing creo and hunting down high ratings, we actually enjoy listening to the random npcs. Seeing the different personalities and comments make the game feel alive. However, we suggest putting the levels over the heads of the random prime creos standing in the overworld. We will push a single rock in a 20~30 area and notice a rare creo, we approach and get hit with lvl80! Im like bruh Also, keep prompting caves and give a level range. Have to throw in that the links do not have a good increase in successful catches. Highest tier will fail then we resort basic links and catch it.
This was a great game! And in our opinion, it did well on being a second generation of Evocreo. We like how there are bits of lore here and there like in the first Evocreo game, especially the mention of two other continents/regions. Spoilers for the next game(s)? It is also very open compared to the first one, and a lot of secrets. There are some things we do not like, the ability system. Even if the game is very open, we wanted to explore the world early on the game, and we wasnt able to do that because of the restrictions of the Ability system. The first Evocreo game did it well with the level up system, allowing for players to have the choice to overlevel to be able to explore early on. But in this game, it seems like it is forced onto the player. Overall, this was an amazing game.
Cant believe we spent 2 bucks on this game. Some of the creos are rigged. Youd have more fun learning how to download an emulator and getting way more Pokmon games for free. Its alright just ignore the store. You cant catch em all unless you have tons of cash which is the point of this game. Its a lotto once you get to the mid/late game trying to catch the unique creos.
Gameplays good + you can catch all creo. Only issues are a few bugs softlock you, type chart not showing lights weaknesses to dark nor rocks to grass, and no pvp day 1. If we could button bind to play with controllers itd be a 5.
Great game having a lot of fun.
We never pay for games but the reviews on the game convinced us. They are right, its just an awesome game.
If you dont have fly or any breadcrumbs youll get stuck and glitch onto a platform with no way off and wont be able to glide off(its near the teleporter). Also how do you use dig? We see the holes but it says cant use here. We already have all the skills unlocked.
Ive been waiting for this game for years! Absolutely love the first game. Anyways heres your 5 star review, will recommend it to all our friends. Anyways Ill get into the game now :).
We absolutely love this game! We were having an issue with a bug that prevented us from progressing, but it seems to be patched now. This game is so fun to play through, the only thing we would suggest is making 5 star creos a little more common. We have yet to find one that wasnt a gift. But besides that, this is a perfect mobile game.
We have about 20 hours in and its a great game so far with one annoyance. We dont like the ability system. Having to hunt down all the ability teachers every time you want to change out or get a new creo is tedious. Im currently going through this and Im having to look up where they all are. It makes us just want to stay with the party we have and not try out new creo. You should either unlock the ability for all creo once you are taught or should receive an item that allows you to teach it to new creo. It would also be great to have controller and mouse and keyboard support.
Theres no way our creos should be kod by a basic attack, attack that Im our creos are strong against, especially when their level are the same as the people who are challenging us or our creo are a level or two behind them. The whole revamp with the attack thing was unnecessary, yall made it harder to unlock skill points and creo abilities, overall its an okay but yall made it harder and more confusing to play especially with the unnecessary changes that didnt needed to be changed. We shouldnt have to walk all the back to the creo center every battle bc our creo are getting one shotted by basic attacks. We understand yall want to give us a challenge but it makes it boring to have to go back and forth between every battle.
Great game so far, it reminds us of the classic Pokmon games with a few upgrades. If youre a fan of the classic Pokmon games, we highly recommend. 10/10.
Needs to add controller support and bump player movement speed. Great otherwise.
Finally a game that recreates the joys of what Pokemon did in the 90s. We have already poured 50 hours into this game and dont intend to stop anytime soon. Some constructive criticisms: make the side quests and main quests more noticeably trackable for players. Its been pretty confusing. Also, the map on each town. Is there one that shows us town view? Hopefully QOL updates continue with this already fantastic game. And looking forward to any DLC and more Creo.
Great story line enjoyed both, this one is even better.
Worth it for the small upfront cost of the APP, we value games that dont have pay to win strategies. There are in app purchases but dont seem integral to the story to the part Im currently at. Just a fun little game with good storytelling and that classic theme we all know and love.
Those who loved the old Pokemon games will be in the right place. It is very similar to the difficulty of the older Pokemon games like Emerald and Ruby. It adds an interesting energy bar for your Creo/Monster during battle. Takes out move count. Also the skill tree was an interesting bonus.
Please work with backbone to get controller support for this game thanks.
Glitched in Fager Beach. We have tried to use breadcrums, fly, swim out of area, restart games all to be lead to a black screen with background music playing. Game is great and so much fun! But remaining at 1 star until we are able to get out of Fager Beach area. Update: This problem has been patched where moving to different screens would be black and freeze. Back to 5 stars! Great game.
So Nostalgic, the game is so refined and takes the key aspects of the old game and improves on it so much more. 10/10.
A fun monster taming game that actually managed to keep us captivated.
It for us is a nice little slice of nostalgia and fun! We have been enjoying playing it and taking our time exploring the game and just trying to find all of the creos that we think will compliment our play style Im glad we have stuck around.
Love the game so much a big fan since day 1 evocreo 1 but pls add screen flip rotation in a update.
Reminds us of our younger days! A blast just like the first one. Went unconventional and picked wind as our starter.
Its amazing, better than the first our only issue is the creo machine withdrawal bug. We tried withdrawing our creo from there and they disappeared out of nowhere. Other than that , Im loving the graphics and story.
We would love to see improvements to the faster battles feature. If its possible to keep the move animations and the text telling what move is being used but just speed it up 2-3x faster. Also the battle intro (when you first start entering a battle the black screen is too long and the creo being thrown out is too long) being sped up would be amazing to include it this feature. This change would add tons of replay ability we just want to streamline the whole process of catching and battling to make it as smooth as possible.
Game seems fun but the movement speed is way too slow, too tedious for us :/.
Im definitely getting our pocket monster fix here! Game is so good and so much to do.
We enjoyed the first EvoCreo so we were stoked when the 2nd came out. The mechanics are clean and it reminds us of the old school gameboy classics. We have noticed a few bugs which is expected on a new game. Primarily that your selected Creo traits tend to not stay selected. We believe it has to do with whenever you level up a creo, as if you check on your creo after battle, there is no trait selected which is pretty annoying. The other thing is that if you are playing on iPad and iPhone, there is currently no way to your sync your progress across both so you will have to play 2 different games. This turned out to work in our favor as we missed a few things on our first play through and now get to start a different adventure with another starter. However it would be nice to be able to sync across devices.
We were able to duplicate and also loose creo storing them. Also not able to withdraw them at the storage machine.
We lost our shiny Robi interacting with the storage. We went to swap for it and it wasnt registering so we saved to quit and refresh the app and it changed to a different shiny that we owned in our cache. Kind of a let down cause now we have two of the same shiny pepitas. We then deposited a different creo to try out a different one and we cant withdraw any creo from our storage. We like the game but this bug is game breaking for us so it gets 2 stars.
Ive never seen a game that is both pay to play and pay to win. Theyre going to say but you can play the game without the extra purchases. Yes, technically true, but we also paid for the game so why are there predatory micro-transactions? Its 2025, we can do better. 5/5 for nostalgic gameplay. 0/5 for monetization.
We play the original game when we were younger on our kindle fire lol. Never made it past hydro city but we loved it nonetheless. Ive heard rumors about a sequel for year and we swear we almost cried when we loaded it up for the first time. This game has been outstanding. The graphics still look like what EvoCreo should look like but also feel refreshing and new. The new crew are amazing. Overall one of the best mobile games to ever be created.
Can you find the missing creo in the wild or are they found in certain spots in the map? For example we cant seem to find the missing deor for that one side quest? There was one glitch when you access the box with your creo you sometimes can exit out of the box and are trapped there.
Im requesting controller support option. This game is very good. Worth the 5 bucks. Im not crazy about the money you can spend in game. Creatures were created well. The graphics are beautiful. So much to compliment in the game and it seems to get better as you play.
We remember playing Evocreo 1 over and over again years ago and then tracking the progress of Evocreo 2 so to see the game finally release and to play it for the first time just feels so nostalgic. That being said Im enjoying the storyline and enjoying the world so far but its hard to get over how slow the main character moves. Im not too far into the game so thisll probably get rectified later on but in the early game its excruciating to move so slow. We feel like the game needs a lot of refinement in the menu system and a bit of polishing on the battle system. We personally like the old menu system design more and its sort of frustrating not being able to change creo mid battle after defeating one of the enemies creo. Besides that its hard to find many other criticisms. Maybe more detailed sprites would be nice for the creo you use in battle, but Im enjoying the game so far. UPDATE: After playing a bit more and getting further into the story the amount of bugs this game has becomes more and more apparent. A lot of them are avoidable by simply saving and leaving the game however some of them are detrimental to gameplay. There are a few perks that quite simply dont do what theyre supposed to, becoming a waste of skill points. The prestige perk thats supposed to raise a creos rank after you capture it doesnt activate anytime we capture a creo. Similarly, the recover perk thats supposed to fully recover a creos health after you capture it doesnt activate and leaves us having to go back and forth to reheat creo center. Its a tad bit frustrating, but overall Im still enjoying ourselves very much.
This has been really great so far, and it takes us back to playing the first game while adding new stuff so it doesnt feel like Im just playing through it again. That being said, we know you guys are working hard, but theres a bug Id like to report, and we cant find anywhere else to report it but here. The game says the Furen cant evolve at all, nor will it work on any of its evolved forms, like Shog.
Very beautiful game, Im so happy it kept the same charm as the original! Admittedly we havent put in as many hours as Id like due to college and work but the starters are all solid options and we enjoy the added challenges in the battle arena. Also really really love the opening theme, we love how it still has the same melody(idk if thats the correct term..) its so beautiful and we cant wait to hear the ending theme when we beat the game :).
If youve played the first one, expect nothing less. More creo, huge game of life additions, smooth gameplay, this game is addicting and something you can spend hours on. Absolutely worth the wait for this to release and 100% recommend.
We waited for them game for so long, at least 2 years actually, but we were so glad when it came out. The game itself is pretty good, we like the storyline and new things theyve added, especially the addition of things like the new energy system. The only thing we dont really like is that it takes a lot to be able to get abilities like rock smash, instead of it coming directly from your creo as they level up, you have to teach it them with trainers. This makes things harder to reach, but its not all that bad. Overall, we still think the game is good and we like the changes theyve made.
