This was one of the best games we have ever played. Very well done and very good.

We think this is a very fun game even though weird happenings.

Really creepy, which we love. This game played great on our iPad mini. It was clever and the hint system was great. Loved it!

Love this long Targeted App.. For you guys.

Excellent, fast charging and interactive Hint button. Very responsive interactive map. Long-playing with no glitches or problems. Well-drawn graphics. Interesting plot. Many puzzles and HOGs. We will definitely purchase the next game in this series.

Interesting story, some unique mini puzzles and morphing objects at every turn. Thanks folks for another game well done.

Still new to these, and we really like this one.

This is a great series and this edition did not disappoint! We were lucky to not run into any technical difficulties mentioned by others and was able to play all the way through both the main game and bonus chapter. So many extras to search for which we love! Loved it all!!!

We loved the story, so glad there was a guide. The making the liquid, with all the bottles and the colored liquid was tough. Had to look at the guide to get it right. Make more.

The storyline really didnt hold our interest. The characters were not well developed. The hos are all list with interactive elements. Hos are revisited. The only glitch we experienced was that the in-game collectibles counter messed up on the gourmet treats collection, and had us listed as one less than we had collected. But we still got the achievement for getting all collectibles, so they were counted correctly in the end. There are morphing beyond objects in every scene and in every hos, including revisited ones. We missed 7 somewhere, most likely in the hos because we kept forgetting to look for them lol. The scenery is very dark, as is the game itself. No gore though, which is nice.

We only played the free game, but it seems to be okay, other than "dark." You travel through areas that are destroyed. For us, that’s a turn off. When the atmosphere of a game is dark, our mood is, too. So, we’ll pass on this one. It has a map with teleport. The HO games are okay. The puzzles are okay, too. Nothing special, but okay if you like a dark atmosphere.

We like the story and had almost no technical glitches. We wished the HOP’s would have been more involved but the game was enjoyable. Very good map. We’re glad we bought it.

Was playing the game and enjoying the graphics, closed to respond to a text and it resets our progress to 0% we definitely didn’t enjoy that!

Extremely disappointed that we’ve made it through 80% of the main game and was enjoying it. Right up until it won’t let us go to the only next location available! Not good and we’re not even interested in reloading to play the whole thing again in hopes it will work properly this time. Want our money back and will write into Apple. Don’t chance it!

We were 86% of the way through the main game when the game froze. We were suppose to complete a HOP in the cellar but the game wont let us open it. Tried to reboot. Nothing worked.

The game locks up towards the end. Total waste.

We absolutely loved this game until the update we had gotten pretty far, updated the game, and when we logged back in to play our progress was back to 0%. We restarted the game and got past where we were. We quit for the evening and when we logged back in the next morning our progress was again reset back to 0%!!! Please fix this game as we were enjoying the storyline up until this point. If not, then please refund our $$! Thank you.

Finally, a game with amazing graphics. Nice job on the artwork! Too bad it ends there! Poor placement of the back button. Not positioned intuitively. Also in HO games, objects are right next to it… Too easy to exit the game. Must have been a developer with tiny hands! Worst part?!?! At 81% progress, after you put the eyes and heart in the statue, YOU CANNOT GO DOWN THE STEPS!!!! You are supposed to go down the stairs and edit the painting or whatever. You can tap hint all you want, or you can zoom, or read the guide… That doesn’t change the fact that IT DOESN’T WORK!!!

Big Fish is the worst. The woooorst!

Same as kennlucas, unable to go down the stairs. Big Fish QAS is absolutely pathetic.

Greetings, Gamers: we’re enjoying every single thing about this game and it’s got plenty to offer: Terrific graphics, atmospheric music, creepy setting (love wandering around an abandoned, spooky old movie theater with nice homages to old films), good HOS, nice puzzles and a responsive teleport map. Elefun Games has produced a winner that’s fun to play on these Autumn nights. Grab a mug of hot chocolate, lower the lights and settle in for a fun adventure. Until next time, fellow gamers, May the cinematic stars light your way.

So much fun! Absolutely fantastic… A must play!

As you know, Big Fish always focus on making amazing puzzle games. Liked all of them so much!

Had a real good adventure. Lots of cool mini’s.

We are really enjoying this one. Yeah, it’s a little dark but we prefer it to the general fairytale sort of fare we have been getting lately. The game is responsive, The puzzles are interesting, the gameplay makes sense, and the map includes teleporting. Lynx Minx, no rats so far!

We have played every HOG from Big Fish in the App Store, and this one is a real winner! We’re pretty tired of the cutesy and icky sweet that we’ve been offered lately. This game is much more adult, with a heavy dose of creepiness and a wonderful artistic style. It almost seems to be a mix of two of our all time favorite games: True Fear and Phantasmat. And it has 65 Beyond Objects and so many collectibles that we lost count. This game is a real winner!

This has everything we look for when we are searching for a hidden object adventure mystery game. We won’t echo all the things everyone else says it has because it has everything that we look for. So far we are not frustrated at all and we are at the point where we need to decide whether or not to purchase this game. We definitely am going to. We would suggest that if you are a long time gamer like us, that you will do the same. The only thing we found that is a little tiny bit glitchy were two instances in the hidden object games where you have to pick up objects to complete another object in the hidden object game. We find that trying to grab the pieces and make them stick where they’re supposed to is very difficult but you just have to be persistent and it will finally catch on. But that’s the only problem we’ve found so far and we’re enjoying this game a lot. We think you’ll like this one!

The game has a good, albeit fantastical, storyline that is engaging. The puzzles aren’t terribly challenging, but they advance the plot. The art is beautiful and the music is truly background music that builds tension where appropriate without being annoying. Well done!

Had us intrigued throughout the game. Had great fun. Look forward to a sequel. Thanks.

Lynx we do not remember seeing any rats so far, but we haven’t finished the game yet just 3/4 of it. We will start over and look more carefully and update if we see any. If there are any they may be in the background of the HO scenes and not obvious. Fears are real, and we respect that. (personally we hate spiders lol) As for the game itself : first rate although a tad dark, but we appreciate that you can zoom EVERY SCENE! Wonderful for those of us blind as a bat like us lol.

Really enjoying this game. Nice map, lots to do, Lots of hidden object scenes with no silhouettes so far – Thank Goodness! Very well done graphics and a thriller storyline. A Must Buy!! Look forward to more spooky games as it’s that time of year. Thank You Big Fish, KdBoots Also always fun finding morphing objects!!!!

Wow, what a demo. Think we’ll be purchasing this one!

Nice graphics, smooth game play, fun mini games.

Would have given a 5, but u have to tap several times to use something in the inventory. Fix the small bug and it will be a 5!!

We got 33% of the way through this game and after getting sucked into the parallel universe as it were we can’t get access to our inventory. It pops up like once but after that we can’t seem to get into it so we’re stuck in one area. We are now reinstalling it so we can see if we can finally get passed that one area. It’s the spot with the crying eye.

Fear for Sale:Nightmare Cinema is an unusual game from Elefun. It has many of the "bells and whistles" that we all claim we desire in games. There is a Diary, a Map, good Hint and Skip, Strategy Guide, etc. The story is that a movie is sucking souls out of the viewers. Once you get past the Free Game, you see that the Writer has been chained to his desk. (Isn’t everyone?) You are asked to help complete the scripts to free him. Each time you write one, a Portal appears to take you into the scene. Not predictable, and the puzzles are good. Also, you collect Morphing Objects, and you have a whole raft of Collectibles in each scene (like Butterflies, Tin Soldiers, Snow Globes, etc.) we like that a lot. Our reason for deducting one star is that when you attempt to click the Hint or pick up an Inventory Object, you get thrown to the Strategy Guide. In other words, the game is a little glitchy. Despite that fault, we purchased it and am enjoying playing it. By the way, we enjoy your reviews, too, LynxMinx! We would recommend purchasing Nightmare Cinema for some different fun.

This is a game we found exciting.

Thank you Dracyy for looking out for RATS! We understand that you are afraid of spiders. What a team: we are petrified of rats, you of spiders, and Snooper of snakes! So we shall make a pact to BOLO for those hideous and disgusting creatures! We were very relieved to hear from Snooper! We are so sorry that you are going through all that medical red tape, and am going to keep you in our prayers! Also Nambr, Bunkie, Hossie and Blueflier, where are you?! We need our team! Sunshine Susie, Opinion, and Kim Meadow, we (and hopefully the rest of the team) really adore you! Thank you for being valued members of the Dream Team Elite! We really appreciate you all looking out for us, and Kim Meadow is back with us so we have a very formidable team, and BigFish had better fix glitches and give us better games! So on to the game. Not our favorite! Players, turn up the brightness because the graphics are so gloomy, ugly and dark. This is an Elefun game, and it seems very dated. We won’t bother explaining the storyline as everybody else has already covered it. They gave you a diary, a strategy guide and a non-spoiler hint system. The game was a decent length and had a bonus adventure, albeit a short one. There was an excellent teleport map with available tasks marked. Inventory was labeled and it told you what you received after an HO scene. Too bad there were no plus objects; those are a lot of fun to figure out! There was only one type of HO scene: word list, and too many of them at that. Boring! If you got tired of the HO scene, you could opt for a jigsaw puzzle instead. The touch sensitivity was so poor that it was a good thing you had that option, or you would never have been able to finish some of the scenes. Other than the sensitivity issue we did find that the game ran smoothly. Also there were a zillion collectibles and morphing objects, neither of which we like because to us they are just annoying distractions to the game. It’s almost like they know the game won’t be long enough, or good enough, so they throw those objects in to lengthen the game! Loading was not instantaneous between locations, and that grates on our nerves as well. There were a lot of puzzles and mini-games, some decent and others boring rotational stuff. We forced myself not to skip any either! All in all, a very average game. After playing exceptional games from Mad Head and EIPIX, this developer needs to make its games much more beautiful, exciting and interactive! On the bright side, except for static HO scenes, no horrible snakes, spiders, and especially RATS! That was the only thing pleasant about this game! Please Dream Team Elite, let’s start pushing BigFish again for a 4th Empress, another beautiful Amaranthine Voyage, another House of 1000 Doors, and anything gorgeous from Mad Head and EIPIX! We need great games for what they are charging us, and we sure hope the next Sable Maze fits that bill! Lynxie sends to our incredible team and to other reviewers who love us as well!

You are employed by Fear For Sale Magazine; and you are contacted by a colleague’s girlfriend, Lily, to look into the disappearance of her boyfriend, Adam. She tells you that Adam was invited to the cinema by a college friend of his and has not been seen since. This game had an ominous, creepy atmosphere that was enhanced by a macabre theme of strange disappearances at a movie theatre. The crisp, clear graphics were nicely illustrated; and the scenes gave a spooky ambiance. You had a journal to record story progression, which is beneficial to those who want to refresh their memory after a break. You had the favored option to customize your difficulty mode to take off the ever annoying sparkles and the tap penalty on HOS. The inventory is labeled but does not seem to require assembly of items. The map gives quick transport to desired locations, as well as location names. You can also view the location names typed onto the location as you enter new areas. You also had "action available" marked on the map in certain difficulty modes. The HOS, being 25 of them, are slightly interactive word lists with an option to switch to a jigsaw puzzle. Nothing unique or special. There are about 30 mini-games, which were mostly simple. The collectibles were the star here. You are collecting 65 morphing objects scattered throughout the locations, including the HOS, so look carefully. You are also collecting small quantities of some other items, but you can see those for yourself. You can view your collectibles progression through your journal. You can also earn points in this game, which accumulates as you progress; and you have a game timer. The bonus area has the usual stuff – nothing special. We gave this game 3 stars because of the following reasons: (1). There was a glitch in one of the HOS where we could not pick up a full bucket of popcorn. We had to finish it via a jigsaw puzzle so if it weren’t for that, we would not have been able to continue the game. (2). There was slight lagging between locations (not using the map). (3). The mini-games were too simple, most requiring one or two steps to complete them. (4). Some items in certain HOS were hard to pick up and required multiple taps. (5). This is a short game. You only collect one or two items in each location. In fact, the HOS and mini-games actually outnumber the inventory items acquired. We still enjoyed the game even with the aforementioned issues.

This is a pretty good game. The art is okay, and the story is too. A few loose ends were not tied up in the ending, which always disappoints. What happened to all of the people who had been we prisoners for ages? Never said. And the biggest problem is how painfully slow the transitions are from scene to scene. We’re used to games that pop quickly. But this one drug on and made it hard to want to continue playing. It would be good if they could fix this. This was bad enough for us that we marked it only a 3 stars.

GO BACK AND READ THE FINAL CUT REVIEWS SNOOPER-158.

This is a creepy game w/o being gory. Nice art, solid puzzles, good HOP’s. Story is silly as usual, but still okay for what it is. We thought the length was about right. However, if the devs are going to include a points system( and we like that )they should make sure it works. We found 3 "beyond objects" a tarot card and an origami at the beginning of the game and our score ( it’s in the journal ) was still zero. Watching the theater doors slam put the first points into the score. This was true for the rest of the game. Only certain things registered. And you don’t get to see your final score. The "points" button on the title screen doesn’t show anything but the profile list. Also we found 65 beyond objects, got the points for finding all of them ( but never for individual ones), but did not get the achievement which says there are 66. Sloppy. It’s a decent game; the devs should have taken better care to do it right.

The game is very well done with crisp graphics and good puzzles. The thing we didn’t like was the story itself. It is too dark and creepy.

Loving the game, but now it won’t let us put the pen in the inkwell so we can’t move forward. Pretty upset that we can’t finish a game we paid for (if the glitch is fixed we will change our review)

Blue fish games are going downhill in quality. The last two, including this one, an item disappears when tapped n instead of adding to inventory, thus not available to advance in the game. Only way to fix is start all over! We’re already 80% of the way through the game. So we had to quit and just delete it! So maddening!! Don’t waste your money. Contacted the company and since its on iPad they say they can’t refund our money. Terrible customer service!!! We’re finding another company to purchase games.
