The artwork is twisted and bizarre and makes you want to play through it just to see the crazy weird creatures. The intentionally campy dialogue is hilarious as well. Highly recommended.
At the time of this review we have played this game for around 2 1/2 hours. We are having a blast! There is so much to like about this game. If your interested in JRPGs do yourself a favor and pick this one up! Highlights for us are: The combat system, it’s fun and addictive. We like that we can reallocate skill points and attributes to try different types of builds. The art style, it’s different and it adds something special to the game. The monsters! The story, it’s bizarre, reminds us of Alice in Wonderland. The music (especially the title screen). Played on iPad mini 2 w/ retina and iPhone 6. Current OS. Update: we just finished the game on casual. It took us 5 hours and 38 minutes. What a great game. We still want to replay the levels on a harder difficulty. No buyers remorse here. Great game!
Worth every cent ironically this is much better then the $15 ff ports put out.
Monsters in the game are very cool looking, and there are many ways to fight them. Love the items and upgrades. Trying to beat the game on Veteran mode and with different upgrades!!!
Literally the title gives it all away. Apart of us wants to turn away from the craziness but we just can’t.
DEVELOPERS: we want more!! I’d easily pay five bucks if this game was at least 20 hours long. REVIEW: This is easily the best $1 we’ve spent in the App Store. Although the game is relatively short for an RPG (I beat the game in less than six hours on "veteran"), the lack of game length is made up with great voice acting, fun gameplay, and the best iOS battle system we’ve ever used. We liked this game so much, we gifted it to both of our brothers and girlfriend. It helped that it was only a dollar ;-D.

This game is so much better than we had thought it would be! Incredible RPG with great graphics and then we may designs and read them based combat system. There are a lots of character, weapon and magic upgrades to strengthen your team and make the game more and more interesting to play as you move ahead. Most noteworthy in this game is probably a great sense of humor that it has along with the amazing enemy designs! We are really loving this and we’re so glad we picked it up!
We got to play this when it was temporarily up for free. If they made a sequel we wouldn’t hesitate to buy that. Fun game.
Great game! At first we loaded the game and it would freeze. We contacted them and they gave us a free copy via Steam. Now the game works on our phone and it is AMAZING!
Unique use of rhythm and rpg elements. Very entertaining and dynamic gameplay, not to mention hilarious.
The perfect blend of hilarity and weirdness. This game is one of the best handheld RPGs we’ve played to date. The innovative control scheme makes the game enjoyable for repeat play-throughs as well. A must have for every RPG enthusiast!
This game breaks the RPG genre down to its bare essentials, but it does it so well. 3 characters, each have skills and abilities to level up. 3 different types of weapons, one type for each character. That may seem basic to some, but it provides such an easy alternative to the average over 90 skills to choose from type games. The combat is great, with all attacks being quick time events you have to learn, but its the little things: the resetting skills without paying, the voice acting, the creature design, and the increasing difficulty of QTE as you level up skills, that make this game wonderful. We would recommend to any rpg fan out there that wants a familiar feel with a new twist.
Despite the lack of retina support (come on you two, please do an update for your games!!), it’s hard not to recommend this title. The wacky monsters are super cool and the overall concept of the game is clever and well executed. At $1, it really would be criminal not to give this title a try…

RPG is not our cup of tea, but it was on sale, and has the right amount of weird, humor, and spot on touchscreen mechanics to overshadow any trepidation that we might have toward this genre. It could easily have an appendix to the title: Fearless and Loathing in Fantasy.
At first, the game started up and went dark, we guess it was our adblocker? Having more fun now.

We wouldve gave this a 5, if we were into over inflated scores, but Im not. Its combat dynamics are pretty on, utilizing what the phone has to offer. For a buck itd be a waste not to get it. It also inspired us to write our first review- twice, given our nick was taken.
This game reminds us of the fight scenes in the PS1 Classic Legend of Dragoon. The timing and rhythm elements add a question of quick reflexes to battles. We wish healing spells didn’t fail so easily, but mastering combat skills felt very satisfying. We think this game is worth the buck or two it sells for, and we loved the three hours of gameplay we got out of it.
We will rate 5 stars if the models are cute as the art of the cut scenes. Nevertheless, the combat system is amazing and unique which can addict players.
Highs: Great male voice-overs. Unique and fun battle system. Graphics are easy on the eyes. Lows: Very linear gameplay and world. Some of the special moves and spells are a pain too pull off. Only fight in waves – gets tedious. Why we Quit: Once the female character said "Jimminy Biscuits" a second time we had all that we could stand – worst line ever in a video game.
The game we purchased was intended to be not only just a stunning masterpiece but one where the players actually combat, when having a weapon in their hand. We dont know if anyone else has had issues but on our iPad where its up to date we cant get past the first scene. Please fix, so we do not have to struggle to like a game. Thank you! BTW we do have an iPhone that is up to date as well but at our age we cannot see the screen for these kind of games.. One last thing is that we just had a major update so wasnt sure how much that played in the battle to have issues. Everything else we do play has not been this off as far as control for attack mode or mainly to do anything as it freezes up after hitting buttons etc………………
Until Party Hard comes out, we will not support this dev. They announced the game years ago and we have been ecstatic to play it but screw us, right? Boo tinybuild, boo. Release Party Hard on iOS, seriously.
