We have played every point and click escape adventure game we can find on the iOS App Store. Glitch is the absolute best. Clues make 100% sense, always logical if you take your time and think about them. We highly recommend Simon and Grahams newsletter. We always love hearing about what they have coming next!
Really not much more to say. Solid PnC puzzler. We wish there were more to the game because its our speed but there was plenty of gameplay for the cost. Some puzzles were really easy, some a little more obscure. Loved the artwork and all 80s references.
Spoilers possibly- we have been a huge fan of glitch games for years now and have bought the whole forever lost series as well as incoherence, great escapes, and now Ferris Mueller’s day off. We love seeing forever lost references in your other games and we love the puzzles. Anyways about this game, there were a lot of useless items that should not have been pick-up-able because it made our inventory huge and confusing. Also we had a few problems with dialogue where id click on the person but they didnt say anything. But overall it was a fun short game :) please make more games that have something to do with forever lost bc we love it.
Although the art style is a bit primitive, this is a pretty good puzzle adventure. Solving puzzles include some punny wordplay and some lateral thinking but most are not too hard. A built-in hint system helps for the few bizarre puzzles. It took a total of about 8 hours to complete. We enjoyed our play through.
Well this game was freaking fantastic! The pop culture references were all very amusing and the game was challenging enough to be fun, but we were able to figure out 99% without peaking at the internet (then felt silly for the thing we did peak on). We highly recommend for anyone whos a fan of the same stuff Im a fan of.
This game was so much fun! We very highly recommend it, and we also recommend paying the $1.99 they ask for half way through the game. Definitely worth it, in our opinion. We dont know the last time we enjoyed a game this much! Fun story, easy enough but made us have to stop sometimes and think things through. We really enjoyed the 80s movie references and puns throughout our quest for golden carrots. Thank you to Glitch Games-this is your best one yet!
Spoilers ahead- while we had a nice time doing the early puzzles, we spent far too long totally stuck in the free section without realizing we needed to buy the rest of the game to complete the puzzles we had started; theres absolutely no progress indicator or warning that youve made as much progress as you can in the free area. Most of the puzzles were doable on our own, but the last couple were pretty counterintuitively designed. Ill admit the puns as puzzles were clever even though we didnt get them without hints, but the heist map and the bear suit uses made absolutely no sense. The low rating is for the unplayable ending. We were able to get the red safe key from the manager before finding the leather duster, but now cant actually use the key to open the safe because our character is demanding we speak to the manager… To get the key. There must be some sort of bug or flawed design here resulting in a catch-22. Very frustrating that because we apparently did something out of order without realizing, we cant reach the ending despite having paid $1.99 to unlock it.
If, like us, you loved the Forever Lost games, this is a fun one but dont expect the same level of seriousness here. Definitely more inside jokes and puns happening and we ended up using hints because its a different vibe altogether and you have to be in a different mindset. Think silliness. Loved all the 80s movies references.
We particularly enjoyed the rubber bathtub seal.
We love all of the 80s movie references. Those are the movies we grew up on. The game was great, as usual, as ALL games made by Glitch Games are fantastic. The puzzles were good, the artwork was different, but we loved it. And of course, the gameplay was excellent. Much love to Graham, the developer, we sat back in the shadows while beta testing Veritas but we see that you are such a great developer and a hard worker. This was the only game we hadnt played yet so we got it today, finished in a few hours, and did it in one sitting. Im a big fan of Glitch Games and Im just waiting for the next pack to be released in Great Escapes. Thats another fun one. If you are wondering if you should get this game, YES, and while youre at it, get ALL the Glitch games, they are all one of a kind FUN and worth every penny.
This is honestly the first review we’ve ever written, but this game is so fun that we just had to. Im a huge fan of the Forever Lost series and have played every Glitch Game on the App Store, and this is one of the best!!

We’ve been binging all of the Glitch Games for the last week, and of the 6 we’ve now completed, this is by far our favorite. The puzzles are so fun and thrilling, and the constant puns, wit and chuckles, we find myself OBSESSED! We cant wait for more Glitch Games! We’ve already preordered the new one coming out in a few days by them. Ahhh!

We love this game and all of the games this developer makes. That being said this game has a very irritating bug that does not allow you to close the photo album. We find the only way to get out of it is to restart the application. Fix that and its worth it.
We love all of Glitch games, but it took us a while to warm up to this one. At the beginning, we were thinking I’d give it 3 or 4 stars. We were overwhelmed with so many things to do in the game, and couldn’t make sense of it all at first. But we are SO glad we persevered. This is a hilarious game, but still has all the deviously clever puzzles that Glitch Games is known for. Btw, it played flawlessly. Thank you, Glitch Games. Please keep them coming!
While not the first game we played by glitch, it is the game that made us realize what we were up against, and placed the developers at the top of our list. The puzzles push. You have to focus and think about what the next goal is, and while is can be frustrating, those that appreciate challenges will not balk at the idea. The puns and puzzles are awesome, giving one an idea of the minds behind the creation. It is a solid use of time!
This is a very fun puzzle game. It’s refreshing & humorous. Buy it!!
We love all the Glitch Games. Fun, challenging and inventive. But the most impressive thing for us is when we got stuck at almost the end of the game (a stupid error on our part that we won’t go into), we emailed Glitch and got a polite and helpful email the next day! These guys really care.
A great spoof and good puzzles. Mostly not too hard, bot glad hints are an option. Glitch games are the best, head scratching fun!
This is a Glitch Game through and through, without the creepiness and with all of the humor. Even if you’ve played Forever Lost and other games, there will still be some puzzles in this one that surprise you. Come prepared for literal-thinking and nostalgia.
… With fun and challenging puzzles. Very entertaining and charming. We’re glad the hints are easily accessible if needed. A few puzzles demanded some quite out of the box thinking and make you slap your forehead when you finally get it. :)
Excellent game, Glitch guys. This one rates top scores in every way. (Just played for 2nd time. Just as much fun if not more. One tiny little thing: in final scene w/text, it’s ‘neither.’ Yah, we know.)

This game is great. All of Glitch Games are great. We’ve yet to find a developer whose games we enjoy as much as these guys’.
Good fun puzzles (some puns taken literally to solve), free hint system, convenient camera, whole story is weird idea that is somehow funny, lots of allusions to other stuff, good ending, but awful cartoon graphics and music. Annoying to go back and forth so much. That being said, we did feel compelled to finish the whole thing in 1 day. It’s good but we just didn’t like it as much as some of their other work.
Got bored with it about 2/3 thru. The inventory is gigantic with several useless items. Some of the puzzles made literally no sense, and eventually we resorted to hints out of boredom. Rarely needed hints before, so we’re glad this game provided them because we didn’t feel as compelled to brainstorm like in other titles. We would rate this as our least favorite of the Glitch games, and seems overall not as well though-out as the others. Still good, though. We are a gen x-er and the puns were fun. Had to turn the sound up at the end because we nearly expected to hear Simple Minds playing in the background.
This game often freezes and we have to close app and retry the next day or after restarting our phone. Always happens when using hints. It’s frustrating.
A lot of the puzzles are absurd. Not intuitive… Which is what makes a game great.
This game has we retesting and hard puzzles, and is absolutely hilarious. We love all of the cultural references, from breaking bad to ’80s movies to many other adventure games. BUT it has a major glitch. We played a few hours last night and got probably 1/4 the way through. We go to play today, though, and it keeps taking us back to the first scene. We can see where our old game was saved, but we can only write over it, like we did accidentally with our more recent save. It makes no sense! We want to play this game but we’ll never be able to do it in one sitting! Waiting anxiously for a software update!
We loved the lost series by glitch games and was excited to play this game. Unfortunately, the game constantly froze and we had to restart it all the time. We ended up deleting the game before finishing because we were so annoyed.
Glitch games is really an appropriate name considering the problems with this game. The game locks up in the hints section and has to be restarted every time. Apparently locking up has been a problem for a while according to the ratings. Then again, maybe it’s supposed to have a glitch. Anyway, we’re deleting it…. Update: As of 1-21-16 Glitch has done NOTHING to correct the GLITCH in this game. We must presume they don’t care! Update, update: now they are coming out with a new game yet they haven’t fixed this one yet!
This would be a cool game if it didn’t freeze up after absolutely everything we do. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

What a wonderful little game full of movie references. Just as engaging as Forever Lost.
Our family loved playing Forever Lost Episode 1 and 2 ( and can’t wait for 3 to come out ). We wasn’t sure that our 14 year old daughter would be as entertained by Ferris Mueller though. We were wrong! When asked if she liked Forever Lost or Ferris Mueller better, she said "I like them all!" our wife and we love the nostalgic references to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986) we grew up playing Sierra On-Line adventure games such as King’s Quest, Space Quest, Police Quest, so the Glitch Games Adventure Apps really fill a need. FULL DISCLOSURE: Our family helps to test many of the Glitch Games Apps including Ferris Mueller and the Forever Lost series.
Glitch makes great games and this is no exception. Difficult puzzles and a weird, engaging concept. Thanks for the entertainment!
We loved "Forever Lost" 1&2, and this game was just as good, and added a nice dose of comedy. Another excellent point-and-click from Glitch Games. Thank you.
Adventure games are always a mixed bundle. Many of them are obtuse and all but unsolvable. Others are simplistic and linear, just collecting items in order so that you can collect the next item. Those that can create difficult but logical puzzles and nest them in a "web" of puzzle solutions become the rare classics. Mueller does both of these very well. We’ll confess, we checked the hints a handful of times but we wish we hadn’t. Every time we groaned, but we knew we could have figured it out with more patience. Now that the developers have our faith, we’ll stick through it to the end when we play their other games. Download and enjoy!
We finished this game in one day. We love the movie so we thought "why not download the game?" It was funny, and some puzzles were hard to figure out.
If you are a fan of the Forever Lost series, then you know what to expect! It is about the same length as FL1, so definitely shorter than FL2. But at only $1.99 for the HD version and couple of hours of fun, it is worth the price. The game loosely references Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, but you do not need to have seen the movie to follow. As usual, many other references throughout the game. Puns are still an amusing touch. Well worth the money and a great way to get your Glitch Games fix while we await Forever Lost 3!
If you love point & click games then you’ll love Ferris Mueller! Glitch Games continues to prove that they make these games because they love them, and it comes across in all aspects of the game. The puzzles in this game are great! They set it up so you are always working on multiple puzzles at once, so you’ll never get stuck at a dead-end on one puzzle and want to quit. Just like in their other games, they have their genius idea of a camera which we absolutely love! We don’t have to take screenshots and multitask back and forth between the game and our photos, and it also doesn’t automatically write in your journal like other games do, which keeps the game more fun and challenging. The level of detail drawn and programmed in this game could only come from someone who sincerely loves making games. Keep ringing the bell at the hotel desk and you’ll see what we mean! As with all games like this the hardest part for us is savoring it instead of wanting to beat it in one night! Can’t wait for what Glitch Games has next!
You guys are the best hands down at escape type games. (My term) Hope to see more, Especially if it’s spooky. (Hint Hint) this game was a lot of fun!
