Description

A musical action-adventure set in the recesses of the human mind… Welcome to the world of Figment. A strange and surreal world; a place filled with our deepest thoughts, urges and memories, populated by the many voices we hear in our heads.

This mind has been quiet and calm for many years. But something has changed. New thoughts have started to emerge – taking the shape of nightmarish creatures who spread fear wherever they go. The only hope is for the grumpy Dusty, the mind’s former voice of courage, to get back to his old self and help the mind to face its fears.

Join Dusty and his ever-optimistic friend, Piper, on an adventure through the different sides of the mind, solving puzzles to set things straight, beating back the nightmares and seeking to restore the courage that’s been lost.

Figment: Journey Into the Mind Review

Creators, watch your dirty mouth! Please? Same goes for the character. The game is good though.

Hi, we wanted to say thank you for the game. We only played the demo, but we can tell how good the rest of the game is (it was an extremely long demo, we thought they gave us the full game by mistake) if you have ever played Zelda or any Action/puzzle game (and loved it) this game is for you. The controls were FINE *except for the item menu controls. We get that it would be better on Xbox or switch controls, but it was kinda annoying on iPhone. Overall amazing game!!!

Update: we Finished The Game Wondering When Will There Be More Levels On Figment… Love To Hear More About It.

Loved the puzzles and challenges throughout the game. After completing we went back to get the memories we had missed. Still wasnt sure if you are supposed to put his memory page somewhere. Anyway lots of fun and hope they will release more like this.

We saw this on our computer and then we found it on our phone and we were so excited. It has so much creativity and hard work put into this. We thought this was a great game by digital bedtime we loved it. Its so cool how they could put this whole game into the iPhone. Although it might just be our phone but we could not properly roll/dodge but we think it was just our phone, either way this was the best game EVER.

We think that the price for the full version need to be around 1.99$ . You gonna have more people buying it like that ! Im sure that you gonna have more sales!

Great game story artstyle and complex puzzles. Some conventional bugs. Another thing not sure if its a bug or not but we cant retrieve memory on the first run the one you have to put the blue synapse on the little house since before the first nightmare. Its seems you have to come back at the house with blue synapse before you put it on to open the pathway further in the game because windmill you push the little island with blue synapse. Devs check it out.

We love the graphics. We love the characters and voice actors. We love the music, songs and story line. We even love all the puns. We hate the thumb control! We almost didn’t buy the game because of other reviews about the controls. The control that moves Dusty around proved the biggest challenge but perseverance finally paid off. It was worth it to get to the end of the story.

Update 2… Response to developer. Per your suggestion, we looked at 2 walkthroughs online. One showed defeating the 1st big boss battle by simply running to dodge the spiders spray. But, we still cant win. :/ If there were more power ups in the boss arenas we think could win and finish. We have changed the game rating from 4 to 5 stars. Just because we cant finish doesnt mean Figment isnt a well deserved 5 star game. The game is phenomenal! Update… Response to developer. Thank you for responding to our review. Yes, we dodged, rolled and ran to no avail. We love the game and would love to finish it. One of the best and most original games we’ve had the pleasure of playing in a long time! The 4-star rating is for the wonky on-screen controls. Unfortunately, we were unable to finish it because we couldnt get past the first boss spider attacks near the end of the game. We had completed all levels and released the "train" and was following its path on the rail. We just couldnt get the protagonist to move fast enough to avoid being sprayed by the spiders! Its so heartbreaking not to be able to finish this exciting game. Im on iPad Pro so our device is definitely up to the task. Im so very disappointed.

A little perplexing sometimes, controls a bit fiddley, but a stupendous effort with a deceptively deep underlying story.

The game is a creative powerhouse. If youre a legend of Zelda fan from back in the day Im talking Nintendo 64, ocarina of time and GameCube twilight princess youre sure to like this game too. We’ve never considered myself a gamer or huge on video games or app games but this game deserves so much praise. The detail that has gone into every single aspect of this game is incredible. The music. The graphics. Man. The idea that youre playing within the mind is not only extremely creative too it also allows you to self reflect. In act one, nightmares escaped and trauma has changed the entire side of the mind were in. Its unrecognizable. How do nightmares and trauma affect your own mind and body? We cant wait to keep playing. Keep doing what youre doing yall. Its amazing.

This game is one of the best iOS games on the market. Watercolor scenery mixed with Wes Anderson like intricacies. Cool music, fun flow and great puzzles and problem solving. Love it!

We love how beautiful and well thought out this game is. We dont want it to end. Highly recommend it if youre into a good storyline, creative characters and gorgeous music.

At first we just got this game for the mysteries and just to try a game… We didnt expect myself to be paying for this game because usually we dont pay on apps, but once we played through the first part… Omg. Its amazing. Definitely worth the 5 bucks, truly.

Thanks for making a great game.

We thoroughly enjoyed this game. The theme was unique. Graphics were awesome. Only one problem we have with the game is that they couldve left out the cursing. Its not needed at all. We were going to let our grandkids play it until we heard some of the language. So.. Yeah, theres that.

Best $5 we have ever spent. We enjoy the music, the creativity and the imaginary as well as the dialogue is very believable without being corny. It kept us entranced for long periods of time because we have to be indoors due to the covid-19 it was the most entertaining way to spend our time. We would say there should be also hints when you realize you are stuck. We play on our phone and the screen is smaller so it can be hard to see some things in the game. Other then that we are looking forward to the sequel! Keep up the amazing work, yall!!!

So worth the purchase! Love it! More!

We are not usually a person to leave reviews for game apps, but we really have too. This game is beautiful. The graphics, the story line, the music! EVERYTHING of it is gorgeous! The person behind this. You have an amazing imagination! Who would of thought a leaf would be a bridge? Who would of thought trees/plants will have guitars and mesmerise you with with the cute rhythm? – Claps – Best 4.99 that we have spent. We really see myself buying more games likes this! Have you thought of doing for nintendo switch?

We love this game, the graphics, and the music, but it makes our phone run hot and absolutely kills the battery.

We love this game but its a pay to win game thats why Im still in act 1 we wanna go on the other acts but we dont have money to buy we would rate it five stars if all the acts were free.

Loved the storyline, creative ways of pointing out mental struggles. However, there are some glitches in movement on the iPad, for example: not allowing the main character to traverse moving platforms due to the function preventing you from running off edges (biggest problem), and occasionally swings with the sword dont do anything to the boss even when the sword clearly hit the boss. Must be within a specific distance apparently. Otherwise, a great play!

We like the gameplay but honestly the voice acting felt weirdly casted , the main characters design, and the ending makes it stray away from a 5 stars. If the stuff we mentioned before doesnt bother you as much then you would definitely like this game. Its a stunning game that is well thought out.

Hey, we would like to say that there might be a glitch with the game. In the right mind after fighting the spiders, the fight music still plays in that area, even during the second encounter with the spider queen which cancels out her song which is very annoying. We think it may be because we might have launched the spiders beyond the playing field without killing them, but we cant say for sure. We hope this bug can be patched as soon as possible.

We dont mind saying Im lost. The game is good about getting you started. It has beautiful sound and graphics. However, if you get lost, or off the beaten path, there are no hints or clues to get you back. We keep getting a message to recover our sword! We never had a sword! We wish we could find one! Every other option has failed us.

The controls are way too finicky and it’s hard to enjoy the game because of it. Its a cute concept but we just cant get past the control bit.

We’ve been really enjoying the gameplay, but during the trumpet quest we had to leave the game and come back. Because of this something reset that made it so we have no way to continue the quest or get access to any other islands.

Movement with left thumb is annoying. We wish you could put joystick on the other side. *** Quick response from devs, thanks! Will give 5 stars if controls updated.

The game is nice and interesting. Up to yall, give it a try.

We wanted to love this game but the controls moved slow on our iPad. Changing the graphic display quality helped a little but not enough to make the game enjoyable. We have many other games with similar graphics and dont have the same problem.

We know this was a problem in 2019, but its 2021:and we are unable to purchase the game. What gives? The demo was fun up until now.

Had to delete because movement and fighting were unmanageable. Voice acting was very cheesy and childish but thats ok. Also used a lot of battery and made iPhone hot. We would probably play this if it were an online flash game with normal controls.

A good port. We really enjoyed it until we realized that when we started our game on one device and switched to a new device we had to start completely over from scratch. Would give five stars if they would enable cloud saves.

It seems like a fun exciting game. It was weird at the beginning he was reading her a story? Then they end up in a car crash? Maybe we misunderstood. But the characters voices were very plain, it seemed very low budget, the people talked like they were narrating a childrens show. It was really hard to connect to the game because of that. It was the equivalent of watching a TV show in another language with an English voice over That ruined it for us, but it seems like a fun game. Its $5 to play past the first level, we did not do that.

This game looks gorgeous and we were very intrigued by the story and production valuesbut the controls are horrible. We tried to play on an iPad Pro but quickly gave up and deleted the app because it was just too wonky, weird and frustrating to try to move the main character around or to interact with objects. How sad! If youre accustomed to a console game controller then you might love playing Figment. Otherwise, meh.

We loved this game right up until a glitch in Anchorage stopped us from completing the game. Cant find this mentioned anywhere else, but the second flying book is blocked by another book. According to the walkthrough, all we have to do is turn the handle on the adjacent Island and align the books to clear the path. Unfortunately, nothing happens but a clunking noise when we turned the handle. The books dont move. We have restarted the level, turned our phone off to reset, loaded iOS 13.5, searched high and low for a forum addressing this issue and found nothing. Im very disappointed to not finish the game, but am not willing to delete and reload the game. We dont want to start over when Im this close to the end.

A fun and beautiful game completely destroyed by the most horrible controls we’ve seen in a touch platform. You cant combine rolls and attacks, the sword attack is useless, you get stuck behind objects, stuck in objects during fights. Deleted game on 3rd stage.

Unskippable intro Poor gameplay Annoying directionless running Poor interface Overall, a waste of time.

This isn’t a free game. You play a small intro then have the option to buy the game for $5. Hard pass. Just make it a paid game.

Good idea, but horrible controls, especially on an iPad Pro. Also, when your is depleted and you have to battle fast moving enemies that have way more health than you, the crazy uncontrollable thumb mashing is just ridiculously annoying and frustrating. Maybe the game would control better with traditional console controllers? This one was a quick delete for us. There is no way in some instances for you to refill your health, and worse, when you die, your health bar DOES NOT automatically refill. So, starting combat over means starting with whatever level of low health you had the first time. NOT GOOD!

So boring. There’s no real "puzzles" and the few that are there, are child-like. The art is fantastic. Too linear, no point, dull.

Love this game! The art, the story and gameplay are all incredible. Just bought and cant stop playing it.

All good, fun, creative, challenging. Surprised at some of the language used. Really tough in final sections-response of thumb control sluggish for challenges.

We downloaded the game wasting almost a full gigabyte of storage, and then we pressed play and it said we didnt meet the requirements to play the game. We even had more that 2 gigabytes of memory. It just annoys us because we wasted so much storage.
