Its a great game the only downside is that when we claim the majority of our crystal and go to summons it takes some away we had 30000 crystals from claiming everything in our inbox we clicked to summon and im down to 15550 not sure if this is a bug but it needs to get fixed.
Enjoy the story, but if you ever want to pull for a character be ready to fork over 70,000 of a limited resource(available for purchase) this up from 50,000, which was once lower than that. Also theres only a 3-5 percent chance that the characters level category will drop and a 1% chance that the character in that level category will be the one you want.
As started in the title, the game is enjoyed and we had a lot of fun playing it. Some complaints that we have is the lack of a multi select. It becomes a chore having to go through each unit to lock or unlock and converting also becomes a chore because you have to do it one at a time despite the fact that the first time you get a Neo Vision or 4-6 star they are automatically locked so you dont accidentally sell them or convert or whatever. It just becomes tedious when managing and upgrading multiple units.
Each week, this company makes changes to make the game worse. Increasing the cost of summons, while giving you fewer resources. Taking away things that used to be free, now to make you pay for them. The anniversary just came and went, and they made it clear this game has no future. Gumi doesnt care. Alim doesnt care. Stay away from this predatory game.
Can you please fix the Claim All button. It doesnt claim anything and marks it as read even though it still reads not obtained. Then when you refresh its deleted everything even though nothing was actually obtained. Time to restart, but the game and story has peaked our interest. Will come back later to update our review and stars.
We LOVE final fantasy. Always have. This game looks like most other final fantasies however, we have literally spent almost 3 times as much time downloading additional data then we have actually playing the game. If you are looking for a game where you stare at a loading bar more than you do anything else than this is the game for you.
No one is fooled. The nerf of countering is directly targeted at Rikku. Having left her alone for so long, many players invested either directly via pulling, shard tickets, or shard dungeon and/or indirectly by attempting to do things like pull for a PREMIUM unit like Zack to buff her further. Some trust moogles do not come close to making up for the way you are crapping on your player base. Screwing over so many units and removing some of the reasons players sought them out is disgusting. This is just the latest decision you have made that either pisses off your players or makes them wonder if you know what you are doing at all. At this rate, this game is on borrowed time. Pathetic.

Downloaded it, deleted it, redownloaded it. And now we cant log in. It says connection issue. We have over gigabit fiber for god sake. And if the position is oh thats a generic error message then change it for transparency. Gumi, baby, you NEVER do the right thing. Its always pulling teeth to get this company to acknowledge any problem and the fixes take way too long with less than average apologies. For god sake we have a veteran account and cant even get in.
Im pretty much at end game content, the game needs to come out with new units that are unique. It seems like they just keep putting skins on the same old ffbe units with new skills because due to their old units being under skilled. Which concludes our rating to a 1/5.
We have full bar connectivity on our phone and we keep getting a connection error occurred. Im very disappointed on this issue as we have never had to deal with this regardless of where we are located at. We enjoy the game very much.
We’ve been playing for about a year and a half and we dont regret downloading this game because its very nostalgic to see versions of our favorite Final Fantasy characters we grew up with. This game gives great ways to farm gems and use them on the characters you want. Its also not insanely difficult to get many NV units since there are so many, so you have a better selection pool when using your gems on any character banner. The story is interesting and this game is frequently updated so this game never gets overly boring. Great game, definitely consider giving it a try.

Great game just dont spend cause you be disappointed. You would think the drop rate would raise for paying patrons. But not the case. The game is great but when story ends n most mission clear Lapis becomes harder to come by but easy to go. Smh save you money guys.
NV (the games highest potential characters were power crept by Premium NVs) Premium NVs have more power or usability typically than there NV counterparts. However, they also are just as hard if not harder to acquire. FFBE had a great bad luck protection system, and then downgraded it when NVs arrived. Making it more costly to get the units. Premium NVs increased that cost of entry by nearly 50% for pity. Not the end of the world, even if you need multiple copies to get access to your units functions and theres a slow method to farm if you get even 1 that is the pity unit. We are as a play base are on our way to 10 years with FFBE on year 7 or 8 iirc on Global. How long we have we dont know personally, but that long into the games lifespan we strongly advise against investing heavily financially in the game. They story is good, they are tying up lore and thats great. Join in the fun, but keep in mind summoning (how you get characters) is in a bad place right now. For example, as someone who doesnt spend anymore due to the predatory rates they have and voting with our wallet against how they treat players Ill give a breakdown. Recently on a Premium NV banner we used approximately 100,000 lapis to get a featured unit. Not a single featured unit dropped from the banner that at times had allegedly 5% to 10% rates for the NV guarantee drop. Astronomical odds. THAT IS 10% OF ONE MILLION LAPIS, THE GAMES PREMIUM CURRENCY. If that were broken down into lapis costs it would well pass beyond half $1000.00 USD, with nothing to show for it. If you were to buy the games most generous 28,000 lapis bundle for $99.99 pre tax round it to $100 USD you will see it would be valued just under $400 USD. For no featured unit. Fortunately for the pity system you dont leave with nothing at the 60,000 lapis mark, but that still crosses the $200 USD threshold for the pity. That $100.00 bundle is typically once per banner or premium NV banner we dont recall. That said, their second most generous bundle has it at $75 pre tax for under 20k lapis. Thats still nearly $300 for in rare bad RNG cases nothing. Tldr: play the game earn the free currency, save assuming youll get nothing except pity. Summon on your favorites and enjoy the game while its here or spend at your own peril. Best of luck a Day 1 player of FFBE current thoughts on the state of the game.
Gumi has taken a strong anti-cheating ground for a long time. This recent event saw them reward those that exploited a ranked competition. Those that didnt cheat/exploit, were given far less rewards. Now, why is this a bigger issue? This same event had scores reset, due to a bug that caused unfair scoring. So Gumi decided they didnt care about the cheating, the second time around. Im not longer spending money on this game.
The unit pool needs to be smaller or NV chance rate need to go up. Also the progression for upgrading NV units it terribly slow and annoying when trying to get NV units awakened to 2 star. Increase the rates of unlocking fragments or something.
Gumi rewards cheaters and screws over honest players in Dark Visions.
The devs do not respect the time or effort of players that try to rank high in events by allowing cheaters to get away with bug abuses. Do not play or spend because your time and money will be wasted by bug abusers who are allowed to break mechanics that are outlined as TOS violations.
Why isnt downloading and keep on showing loading.
This game is every bit as good as the Super Nintendo version we had as a kid, but instead of paying $50 for it, its completely free. Sure, you can spend money for the possibility of top tier characters, but there are still plenty of free chances to progress without spending cash. We easily completed the first two seasons without spending a dime, and we have some pretty cool characters. The storyline is very involved and many trash characters actually pop up in the cutscenes, making them far more valuable. Theres a decent array of weapons, armor, and spells, and you can craft some of each- but why bother? You find freebies along the way. We’ve also never had this game crash. We love this game and we cant wait for the next chapter! Edit: Several years later Season 3 was beyond terrible. Just a complete mess. Season 4 is great and has a decent cast of characters, but the game is now so bloated that it is impossible to maintain on a simple iPhone. Constant updates are needed. Also, many tasks now involve the same fight over and over again, just with varying intensity. Several key process have been changed as well, such as upgrading characters, isolating older players. We will likely uninstall after this season wraps up.

UI isnt intuitive. They give away so many tickets/units these days but we cant even enhance them.
We have played this game since the first month it came out. We LOVED it and was OBSESSED over it. Like all games they have to move on but it was the hardness of it; whether it was grinding for TMRs or leveling up. Our first main unit was kuja and Edgar. We’ve taken a year or 2 break and have tried to get back into it but we just cant and it kills us cuz we have such good memories of this game. We wish it could reboot ha!
Reasons why we decided to still give 5 Stars: (1) we like the cute storyline filled with humor that makes us laugh. We spend hours laughing at the cheesy, slapstick humor of the story line. You need a good laugh, the way the World is right now. (2) The graphics are beautiful, and there are cute little details, even on individual stat-boosting cards you equip on characters that are amusing to watch. (3) The game is quite generous in its gifting. Even if most of the hero draws tend to start out low level; you can build them up. We dont mind putting in a little money now and then, because the developers are so generous and they work really hard. (4) They are responsive when things mess up, are good about trying to fix things quickly, and they give good Consolation Gifts when something does not work properly in the exceedingly large, complex programming. (5) The only ADs in the game are entirely voluntary. You choose when you want to see them, and are rewarded for watching them. There are also some really good products that match what you like, if you allow settings to match your preferences. Our 2 Requests for this game is: (1) Messaging system to talk to other players. (2) Real-time Co-op Multiplayer component added in which we can interact with our friends to battle monsters somewhere the way you can do on console games; although we are not sure if cellphones can handle that sort of thing. It would definitely be a Major Draw to this game. However, it is already so massive. You definitely need a top notch phone with plenty of Memory and Hard Drive Space to handle it. Otherwise; welcome to the World of Freeze and Crash, which occasionally happens even with a Top Notch Phone. Thank you to the hard working developers for a fun, great game with nice music, light hearted storyline, and lots of side quests to explore.
We have been playing for about a month now but cannot progress one of the challenges as we cannot find anyone to add as a friend. When you bring up a search list you get people who havent been playing for 500+ days or people whose friends list is full.
Im not able to complete the first Rookie Panel Quest card because we cant find anyone who is currently active and has room for new friend requests. Everyone under search is maxed out on either requests or friends list, plus not even sure if they still play the game. Is there any way to improve the search to make it easier to find active players that havent maxed out there friends list or requests?
Was looking around for a new game to try out and found this one. Took forever to install and couldnt even get past the title screen, crashed every time Took that as a sign to move on and deleted it.
Cant even start the tutorial. We get two white squares on a black screen. We cant click anything or go any further. Happens on both our iPad and our iPhone.

We’ve been playing the game but recently is unplayable because if a make one move it become an black screen and the music still going but not anything more.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the gameplay, that’s what the two starts are for. But this game has so many issues. The game uses pixel sprites for most of it’s gameplay, even for more than half of the story cutscenes. But you have a small download for every level, every battle, every cutscene, big downloads when you open the game… Just data flowing to your phone 24/7. The game also doesn’t save any of your settings. We usually listen to music or a podcast while we play, and we turned music off in the settings. Every time we start the game it has the music maxxed out, but it doesn’t pause our other apps so it’s just a jumble of noise. The game is a mess, and it’s sad because it’s fun.
New: sweet and short, updates ruined everything and the free pulls are better than the gem summons now way to ruin a once beautiful and easily collectible game :( once you hit low-high to mid-high level, youre stuck to where you can easily beat the second highest rank missions but cant touch the highest rank missions even after months of grinding. We had to delete it because the gacha which we once loved, started really irritating us how many times we would pull an nv from the free giveaway summons that they take away after a bit or replace it with a very crappy one for a longer period of time. Also they dont repeat events or have them as unlockables so if you miss a character then there is a good chance you miss them. Oh and it seems like they made it harder to get the featured unit! Either that or our luck has been so bad for the past 4 months and they dont have a fallback system for people like us who want to spend money but cant justify it if they cant pull halfway decent units! Old: Even though its a gacha, the game makes sure to give you plenty of goodies for completing missions and logging in. They give so much that we felt obligated to spend money on the chest bundles which are actually worth the money! We have all the most popular names of the series and still building the side characters from other games they give out like Fei from Xenogears! Would be fantastic to see other collabs from like games cough legend of dragoon cough or celebs like the Arianna Grande event a few years back that we unfortunately missed. Overall great gameplay, great character gacha rates/events, and great original story too!
We love playing this game, but whatever ad method Gumi or its partner is using makes performing some functions the most annoying structure on the planet. Watching the occasional ad on the wheel or for energy is fine, because we chose to. But those ads have /no way/ to close them. Theres no X, and we’ve let them sit for hours. You sit through a 1-2 minute video, then it loads a splash screen. But instead an X, you get >>, which forcibly loads the App Store and in one case tries to download the app for you. Then when you close /that/ you can finally close the ad (provided it doesnt load /another/ video or animation), then it finally provides an X. Knock that junk off. We dont even mind the video, but this forced App Store nonsense is trash. Just give us an X, we already sat through the ad. And dont buy featured units. Its $12-$24 for a 1% chance to get the unit theyre featuring. Just play the game and collect tickets, and try to get them with a higher drop chance with the free lapis you get. Even whales should beware this one.
We got to the first part in the beginning of the game, on the part 2. Your companion tells you to summon a vision, and it fails by being unable to properly load data or something and quits to the title screen. Redownloaded and same thing. Cannot play.
This game is amazing. Definitely in our top 5 for mobile games. Being able to have a team of our favorite Final Fantasy characters is the bees knees. One thing that would make this game even better tho? Controller support. Please please please devs!
Very clean update it looks so much better and up to style now we feel. Great job, some things we feel may be still in progress but so far so good! Kudos to the support team that helped us retrieve our account from day one when it was acting like a brand new one.

2 stars for all the memories, we had a ton of fun with this game years back. Its become full of hard to follow progression, it aint satisfying anymore. If this game could revert to the magic that it was years ago, Id play it avidly. But thats gone forever now.
This game is quite fun, its far and away the mobile app that we’ve stuck with the longest, going on 4 years now. The most recent game update came with a major change to the UI, and its just awful. Rated 2* because its still a great game, but the UI doesnt feel intuitive and it looks extremely basic. We know minimalistic design is popular right now, but we want to play a Final Fantasy game with an awesome, graphical design. We feel like the change was unnecessary and a waste of development effort.
Downloaded game, played a little and it crashed. Tried to reopen game it would just crash again and again and again. Gave up and deleted it.
This last update made all the text incredibly small and hard to read, the new UI is terrible. 0/10 would not recommend.

First off f what anyone says we’ve been playing this game for years so best little arcade character collectible type game you could find!!! Yes we agree that the Ariana Grande add on was a little bit much on the units but hopefully theyll get better overtime like they always do great game five out of five from the pixelated graphics to the animations of the moves and the units its so fun!! Only app besides warhammer ill spend money on its great! We also started with no purchases and they set us up in the begnin.
