Not bad but it doesnt beat the original game but still awesome game.
Takes up our time and easy to play.
As a final fantasy fan myself we can say this game is awesome, a mix of summoners war and rise of kingdoms! We love this game to death and Im excited to see how fun it will be after a couple updates!
We think this game needs to start opening realms for people like asap because its getting dumb and dead guilds and game is getting boring.
Games was fun. Lost money and time because game erased our file we dont know why.

Since last maintenance some of us cannot upgrade buildings or upgrade next level of troops. Frustrating. Been reported to support but that takes long time to get help. Other than that, the game is a keeper.
Game is enjoyable but unfortunately after the latest update the game crashes once the loading bar hits 60%. Not good since now our city will be left vulnerable to high level attackers who can and will zero us out, meaning the game would be useless at that point.
We are absolutely appalled that this game is rated for 12+ Do not let your preteens anywhere near this game. It should have a mature rating. Not because of the game play, but because of the cruel human behavior that seems to be tolerated by the devs of this game. Everyday in realm chat you can witness cruel bullying behavior happening. Its disgusting. For that alone we would love to give it zero stars. As for the game itself.. Its enjoyable. But if you want to be any kind of contender in this game, you better be willing and able to pay a lot of money. There are players who have put thousands of dollars into this game. If you cantbasically prepare to be their farm.
The games says it will send you notifications if youre under attack but support says they have to be 10 tiles away and to use your teammates as a meat shield just to get a notification. When you ask support for assistance they just close ticket with no response. The math in game is incorrect you upgrade a building and supposed to get 1 million in power but your power only goes up by 100k. SUPPORT IS HORRIBLE IN GAME SO HORRIBLE.
When we first discovered this game we were pretty excited. We had played the first FFXV game and was happy to start a new one. The game itself is pretty good, although there are some glitches, more than the first one. The graphics are good. The gameplay is decent and it can be quite enjoyable. The packs are more affordable than on the first game but its still pay2play. The problem lies with the developers and their attitude toward resolving players problems. There is a pretty common glitch involving lack of attack notifications. At this point in the game theres really not much defense except to bubble so if you lose your bubble you will likely be zeroed unless youre reinforced. Its quite expensive and costly to make troops so youre looking at a long road back to restore your troops/power. We recently discovered that the developers will only replace your troops ONE time for the duration of the entire game. Even though the lack of notifications is their fault and the cause of your troop loss they will not ever replace them again. This is absolutely outrageous! People spend a lot of time and money on this game and refusing to compensate players for a developer caused problem is absolutely unbelievable and unacceptable! We have dealt with these developers in the previous FFXV game and they were terrible but now their greed is really off the chain. If you plan to spend any money whatsoever we would advise extreme caution.
We dont know why this is happening but if it doesnt get fixed soon Ill be forced to delete the game and move on to another game.
Thought this game might be fun to play. Especially after reading the reviews. However, by the time we got to citadel lvl 7 the game bugged out and would not open. Only choice was to delete due to not working.
Game was super fun in the beginning, but toxic behavior is becoming more and more rampant over time. Definitely a PTW game by its nature, but the recent update gave all the major spenders a HUGE boost and screwed over the rest. To put it in perspective we’ve spent about 750-1000 on the game and Im in the screwed category. We suppose we should thank them for finally driving us to quit.
We like the interactions but the game suddenly crashes and we cant log in and we’ve tried everything.
As with many games such as these, the allure comes from progressive asset management and growth (upgrading buildings, training troops, etc). Unfortunately, this game and its developers got a bit overzealous and a majority of the facets that provide the enjoyment are simply still broken or lacking. Impossible to enjoy as a ftp player and more disheartening is the amount of money it requires to succeed as a p2w player. TLDR: Games broken whether you spend or dont spend, play GOT:Conquest or something else.
If youre willing to spend more money than the whales in this game this game will be great if your just casually playing you might as well find something else to play as youll get burned by all the players who paid to get everything maxed. Servers will be dead soon without any kind of transfer so enjoy!
Are yall really gonna let IMPL R41 get away with bots and buying packs not approved of the game !? This is a dumb game now. Hope you got your moneys worth. We actually had fun playing this game in the beginning but now we HATE IT.. Because the devs really dont give a rats tail about cheating to get ahead. We heard the top guild in R35 is quitting the game and they are your top money makers. Karma is a domino effectyall will feel that.
Randomly this game will just crash on you here lately and its so inconvenient since you cant get into the game to protect your Citadel and you end up losing so much in game strength and resources, it ticks us off having to start again and again to get back up in strength and resources, please fix this.

THIS IS THE GAME FOR YOU!!! As long as they see SOME of the profits, its fair game!!! Devs dont care, put in a ticket for support and theyll mark it resolved and do nothing! Want a game where you can talk in the chat like a child and use racial slurs, h@mophobic language, call others names, and the devs do nothing even though its against game rules?? THIS IS THE GAME FOR YOU!!! If youre looking for a completely toxic game environment, DOWNLOAD THIS GAME IMMEDIATELY!!! The devs promise they take rule offenses seriously, so seriously that they mark support tickets resolved and sit back and eat their popcorn! -5,000 stars GREAT JOB DEVS!!!!
Since they were bought by a company who already owe a bunch of stock in, we thought things would be different. Machine Zone aka MZ aka Epic War, developed Game or War, Mobile Strike among others that are all the exact same game with slight variations. The old MZ was well known to be greedy scammers. They would release a yellow set of gear (the highest level) and a week later, they would invent a new highest level, RED followed by BLUE (the new highest level) a week later. If paid $100 for the yellow, and the red, youd buy the blue because youre already $2000 into the game and whats another $100!? One month later they came out the DARK mode, which made everything prior to that so weak it wasnt useful.. Like at all. All new resources, all new speed ups etc etc. MZ also famously and notoriously would make fake accounts to bully the players and to drive up the spending. It was reported that 75% of the accounts in any given realm arent real people. Now as far as this version of the game is concerned, they just slowed the beginning down greatly. Troops take WAY too long to make – they get the red bar of death half the time and have to force quit the game. The lagging is better here but still unplayable at times. They try hard to make it look like Party Encounters is actual gameplay but its not. No one likes PE and it freezes 30% of the time, keeping your stamina even though you didnt play. We would be willing to testify in court everything here is 100% truthful and accurate, unlike the game developers.
Developers will not get back to you if you lose money or items in game because of game glitches. Great players, but customer service is poor. Customer service was bad when they used email – 95% were just bots. It took 10 emails and 30 screenshots to get a real person and then they timed out your ticket and things were never resolved. Now with in game Customer Service Chat – within your account in the game – they just ignore you. Our whole Guild has just decided to complain in Apple Store; instead of game chat. Just hoping they will finally respond to us losing 14 Domes/Bubbles because of a glitch in their game. IN RESPONSE TO THE BOT REPLY BELOW MY COMPLAINT: There is no ticket number-it is open chat. And there is no way to get a ticket number or change it. If we could change this review to zero stars we would.
If your dumb you fall for this trap like the previous final fantasy machine zone operates. You will not win and these building time wait games are crap. We dont even need a sec response your laggy game is not worth anyone time. Only for the dumb .
Game is fun and engaging but doesnt require you to spend money or your entire day on it.
Picked this one up out of boredom. Very similar to other kingdom defense games but with a FF twist. All the initial questing seems fun. Of course the progress is slow if you dont spend anything. There was another FF XV kingdom defense game but it was so boring compared to this one. At least the graphics make us feel excited to keep progressing. Whenever we play games like this we just think about the time and money we put into the other similar games and we go, Nice try, but too expensive too! Is $5 really meaningful or just greedy?
So far the only neg is you run out of things to do.

Awesome game and able to play without spending money but there are a lot of problems the devs need to work on. Game keeps booting us out and unable to train troops because of timer not recognizing its finished and you need to reload for it to correct it self.
We like this game Im old not high tech but its fun to a degree. At first there is a lot of building and it goes fast then it gets slower and you may need to spend money to progress faster. Then the leveling up you heros is not easy at all it takes time and again money lots of money if you want to compete with the big guilds in which you cant because they have spent BIG money to get there. The one thing is if you are in a good guild you will make friends and you laugh. So Ill stick with it but we cant pay the big money Im retired on a fixed income. But again its a good game. We played thee very first FF game. Lol.
Not a bad day for the world of final fantasy fans, having this game out. Its a fairly clean game with at least a couple thousand hours of gameplay each season its out. Anyways.
Been a fan from watching FF3 on SNES This game ; FFIV is what youve expected from a guild building faction game. New themes change the cosmetics yet earning those blue hero vials to level up takes forever if we say Food , Stone , Metal and Energy are all you need No gf summons here lol Building takes time when beyond level 15, spend your gold wisely before then youll have a lot to have fun with Troop power matters.
The ability to repeat campaign levels would be great.
The game is fun but the notifications continue to pop up a ridiculous amount. Ill be trying to donate to the guild and receive 25 notifications that it was successful. Very annoying!
We spent 1200 gold on hero drink but never got the items purchased. Cant create a help ticket without going through additional steps.
Good story and we like how true it is to the Final Fantasy universe but it needs work. 1. It takes about 9-10 clicks to get in and out of selecting research. Thats 4-5 too many. Cant request help for research until you are exited out of the university. Thats a toonnnn of tapping when you are doing beginning research that takes 1:30 (shorter with alliance helps) 2. Cant equalize marches with one tap 3. The buttons that hover above buildings are too busy. Theres a spinning circle around each one and it just makes it feel overwhelming when you first log in. 4. Hammerhead Garage is level 1, but there doesnt seem to be a way to upgrade it. Ami we missing something? 5. Whoever designed the animation after donating to guild research should be formally reprimanded. Its bright, flashy, and fills our screen about 100 times a day. Completely unnecessary. We also dont need laggy banner notifications for every successful guild research donation (for the uninitiated, you usually do 25 at a time so thats 25 banner notifications). Im sure there are other UI things that bother us but Im forgetting. As for bugs, we’ve had to close the app and restart multiple times to make them go away. One recurring one is we get a message our troops are still training but the countdown is stuck on 00:00.
Nice fun game but its pay to play like VIP few ways to earn this and move up higher without paying most rewards are so little its not worth the time clicking on them but the game play is still fun . More so if you rich.
To be fair, we have enjoyed this game. The art, the new voice lines were an utter delight. But now that the novelty is wearing off, the flaws are becoming more grating. In an active guild, the notifications fly in so quickly its easy to click on them unintentionally. Secondly, theres a chance a panel will freeze open and remain up no matter what you click on for navigation. Just navigating around the map can result in the whole game crashing. Then theres the almost constant sexist, racist, and homophobic comments in R37 realm chat. Its like the Barrens chat all over again but, here, we cant turn it off or avoid the zone. Reporting doesnt help. Way too much drama and bigotry for a silly mobile game.

You Get kicked out of game all the time. Try to get on to put a shield back up and when clicking on the app it sends you to Twitter. The gamers do not respond to the mail that we have sent with questions and concerns. We have sent multiple emails with zero responses.
This game is very buggy and poorly designed. Gameplay is awful. You dont even know when you are being attacked and cannot defend because of it. So its just a farming/healing game. Strategy doesnt come into play ever because of this. Received a developer response, but clearly they didnt read what we said so Im lower a star.
